I've read a few of the reviews and I won't dispute someone else's experience. This has become my home store. I now recognize the faces and they recognize me. I get great service based on availability of staff and their busyness. They usually have enough inventory for me to find what I need and they make great suggestions on pairing pieces. I had a quite a terrible experience at this Ash Stewart please do not shop here. This is a waste of your time. They should close this location and condemn. 2.5 to 3 star review. I didn't know where I should go with this one. Because this Ashley Stewart is undoubtedly hood, but it's the kind of hood that's not so bad.The kind of hood that just makes you smile. Now don't stop reading yet, just hear me out. You walk in and you're loudly greeted by the woman at the cash register who calls everybody "puddin" and "baby" while she's ringing them up. The way she's dressed is just as loud as her mouth. But she means absolutely no harm and turns out to be extremely helpful. Before ringing my mother up, she took the time and care to call the Ashley Stewart customer service line to see if my mother's card worked. Then she cackled and raved about the free glitter bag and diva dollars that my mom's purchases' earned. Sure, she could've moved a lot faster. Sure she could've been a bit more professional and reserved. But she made my mother smile and so I can't say that I was completely bothered by her. The store itself, though it's not in the best location, has a decent selection considering. I'd go here before I'd go to the Macy's a few stores down. The way it's laid out is a bit narrow and long which doesn't leave much space in the aisles. And considering it's a voluptuous woman's store, things can get a little tight. Especially if you have bags and little ones. Most of the clothes are of a nice quality. But my mother wanted me to try on a few peacoats in here and about 1/3 of them were falling apart before they even left the store. And they were by no means inexpensive. So watch for that. All in all, I would come here without thinking twice. But not often. And not to make a serious purchase like a peacoat. And probably not to purchase anything for myself. But my mom bought a cute little knockaround jacket on sale for like $25. I also find a lot of cute jewelry in there. So this place is okay. read more

HORRIBLE customer service!!! The young lady behind the counter was rude and LOUD!!! Her name is Tiffany.My friend had a discrepancy with the price of some items she was purchasing...The cash register was ringing up one price but it was Clearly wrong...Then they proceeded to tell us They had to honor the price that was ringing up on the register,.. Wrong answer..how are you just going to Over charge me and expect me to be cool with it..so I had them take out their calculator and what do you know THERE price was wrong on the register so they had to adjust it.But in the mean time Miss Tiffany was huffing and puffing then clearly stated I am Finna say something...so I said by ALL means boo speak..I told her she was rude and ghetto and how ppl talk about how ghetto this store is this heffa said we'll go to Forestville and shop..I said yep you have just showed how ignorant you are to send customers away to another store which could potentially close your store down due to lack of sales... I will NO longer patronize that store!!!! read more
