The staff is always pleasant, and always helpful... Which means a lot for a customer like me who is sometimes indecisive or overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices available. I'm a creature of habit and It takes a lot for me to switch up my style. Fortunately, the staff who work here are up to date with the latest and greatest as it pertains to hair, and they are always happy to share what they know in order to help me find a new style that I will really love. What I really appreciate is how the staff's recommendations align with my personal preferences, instead of trying to upsell me on something I neither want, nor need. Additionally, management is very responsive and open to suggestions for new products that the store doesn't currently carry. For the most part, this store is a one-stop shop. I believe it used to be a supermarket, to give you an idea of just how large it is and just how much product it's able to carry. And if you don't see what you're looking for, there's always a friendly associate nearby who can help you find what you need.

RACIST WORKER ALERT She was so unprofessional disrespectful…read morecursing and getting agitated simple for asking the total of the prices being rung up sp far she stopped and looked at my mother and said if she rings the rest fo the stuff on there which she understood as if we're taking it all and which was a yes just wanted to know how much was so far (with only the handful of items that were from someone else but under the same transaction before it all became a total and having to pick out the receipt) She then after 4 times of saying she wants this on there saids the total and I politely said "thank you, that's all I wanted to know" she the starts to get disrespectful and reminds me that my mother had said she wanted it all on there and I said yes but I wanted to see how much the total for those items before the rest of things was and she then started with her rant on how she don't need this job its her part time and quote "fuck this job, I don't need it this is just something for me to do" and I said ma'am youre on that side of the register I work customer service too and you're being unprofessional and ignorant cursing and arguing over a price check in front of at least 3 kids around and she then tells me how shes an adult and she doesn't need to be shit talking with me and which to I still try to escalate things again and say ma'am you're old enough to be my grandmother or aunt and you're cursing and getting loud when you choose to take this job and shes going on and on to why im even there and then stops and said you want the stuff or not im not the one to be tried and I quote again said "I CAN MAKE A CALL AND THEY CAN BE WAITING FOR YOUR FATASS OUTSIDE" to when I said excuse me you're threatening me after you see my color and your I am brown and in this day and age we're black n brown unite and she then giggles and said "you're not brown you're Hispanic that's why they're gonna be waiting for you outside" that was completely uncalled for and to make thinga worst when she had started on her racist rant there was an interracial couple ( a Latina young lady and a black young man) with 2 toddlers and an infant next to us and I was just floored. I asked for the manager on the clock which was a nice man with dreadlocks and as nice as he's always been being that we've started to go to that store since it opened so we've seen him before n he rung us out before as well today he was completely useless and it might be because it was a busy time or they just had enough of that lady and her rants because when I started to speak she started to curse and talk over me which he had to tell her to stop and keep doing her job MIND YOU SHE STILL RINGING MY stuff and my mother teenage sister and toddler son asking why she's being rude why shes saying bad words why shes calling me fat body shaming me and threatening with what we can only assume is ice giving the days we're all living in now in the country and needing to stick together. I was given nothing but the lady name from the receipt from the lady after the manager didn't let me get through HALF of the things that happened and said he will talk to his boss tomorrow and that's it. My review for Royal Tobacco is for EXCEPTIONAL, ATTENTIVE AND KNOWLEDGABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. FYI, my product reviews are just for hookah, as that's what we purchased during this visit. My boyfriend and I have been on the hunt for a reasonably priced, medium-sized hookah for about three months now. Nothing seemed to pique our interest ‍ So we searched on yelp for a place in our area and came across Royal Tobacco. It's located on St. Barnabas Road (between Clifton Rd and Stamp Road/across from Enterprise). Shop atmosphere: It's a very well lit shop with everything on display, beginning in the front with incense and blunt spray and working your way back through rolling papers, accessories (grinders, etc.) hookahs, cigars, and a host of other products. Mo, the employee in the shop today, was super attentive from entry to exit. We told him this was our first hookah and we wanted something on a beginner level. He walked us through his inventory and we went for one of his suggestions. Hookah flavors: If I can recall, he sells about 5 different brands with a crazy variety of flavors. He explained the cost and total weight of each product, allowing us to decide which brand was the most bang for our buck. Any flavor you're looking for I guarantee it's there. He walked us through how to assemble the hookah and hook up the extra hose we purchased. I mean, supreme service from beginning to end. We will definitely be back when it's time to re-up on flavors. Once I assemble the hookah, I'll post pictures of it and the tobacco we purchased. My boyfriend was even interested in some vaping products and Mo knew about the various brands, juice flavors, all the way down to smaller parts, such as atomizers and how to change them. Overall, Mo & the shop get a 5/5 for service, 5/5 for knowledge of products, 5/5 for location and 5/5 for the overall atmosphere and shop set up!
