The shop was loaded with gems such as St. John, Tory Burch, vintage furs and a plethora of many other items. The shop was a hub of genuine optimism and great energy. I saw this fabulous sequined Tory Burch dress at a terrific price, and Pat sold the dress to me at an even lower price. I have nothing but praise for Pat and her fabulous shop. They are…read moreconsistent in what you will experience. 1) scent: really have I experienced that thrift store smell whenever I go into a 2nd Ave. thrift store. This one is the same. So they get four stars for that. 2) selection: the store was well stocked, and I found a few things I was looking for and a few things I wasn't but realize I needed 3) size: I called is a superstore, but compared to the store tomorrow it's about half the size. It wasn't as small as some of the Goodwills but I don't know that I would call it a superstore. 4) prices: as 2nd Ave. always does. There are two colors that were 50% off so if you can find those you'll get some great deals. Otherwise the prices were decent. It seems as though many thrift stores have raised their prices, but I wouldn't say the prices were outrageous or unreasonable. 5) location: it was relatively easy to find, and had a sufficient amount of parking. 6) service: I appreciate the self check out that they offer. And the staff was responsive and helpful when I was looking for a couple of items in the store. Overall, this is absolutely worth a stop, and I will likely be back.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The prices at this store reminded me of my good decision to stop donating to thrift stores. I have now started donating ONLY to centers and facilities that TRULY help their communities, and therefore ALL of the items that I donate are free to their customers. The organizations that I now donate to are strictly geared towards helping true low income and less fortunate. The prices at the store are the prices that you would find in regular store AND intentional high priced stores. This store receives donations FOR FREE, AT NO COST TO THEM, AND YET THEIR PRICES ARE MERELY A DISHONEST RACKET. It was very disappointing to see that this store is obviously run by persons who seek to profit excessively and exceedingly from the kindness and generosity of others. I should NEVER see art work at any thrift store for $129.00 that is not the authentic art work of Picasso. I should NEVER see a water jug for $124.00 , even a large one. I should never see a cat sculpture for $69.00. I should never see an 8x10 picture frame for 9.99 (this is the same amount that I would pay at a store for a brand NEW frame). I should never see cookware for $34.00. As I walked through this thrift store, my shock progressed to disgust. This store truly needs to be regulated. Their prices are unheard of when it comes to a thrift store. This particular thrift store truly needs to be investigated and regulated. I can't support dishonesty and mere greed. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable…read more I visited the Oxon Hill, MD location on a Saturday morning and waited in line for over 2.5 hours--along with approximately 50-60 other customers--while only ONE employee was operating the entire store and register. We were told that multiple staff members called out, leaving a single manager ("One") to handle everything alone. While I empathize with the employee, this reflects a serious failure in management and corporate planning by Ross Stores. There was no backup support, no urgency to resolve the situation, and no communication to customers about how it would be addressed. A 2.5-hour wait to check out is not just inconvenient--it's unreasonable and raises concerns about customer safety, store security, and employee conditions. One customer was elderly utilizing assisted walking device. They didn't announce cashier shortages until 2 hours into our waiting in line. If the items that I was picking up were not urgent, I would've walked out and many people did. This experience completely changed how I view this location. I strongly urge corporate to review staffing practices and implement contingency plans so customers are not subjected to this level of neglect. I hope this is taken seriously, as no customer should have to go through this.

I like Ross but I will not go to the one on Oxon Hill Road anymore…read more Back in August my girlfriend and I were getting stuff for my niece for school and my girlfriend and she hit the security guard by mistake with the cart (definitely a mistake) and he called he a bitch...as if that wasn't bad enough his boss came up and co- signed his mess..smh. They are not the most friendly in there to begin with and then top it off with a dose of insult in the customers face. Of course she called the store to complain but who knows what happened if anything at all. Best I can do is not spend my money where my service is not valued.
