Went in this evening and walked around for about 20 minutes looking for a bed frame I really liked online. Couldn't find the display. Not one person said hello or offered to talk to me or help me out. Granted, they were with other people. I did wait around for an associate who was with someone. If you want your credit score ruined this is the place. I will start saying that there are really nice people in this store and they will say anything to sell you something. We needed our bed before family was going to visit and they told us they were going to make it work. It arrived 3 months after my family left. And to top it all it's been 4 months of credit disputes, talking with our bank and credit account. We got the Ashley Furniture Credit Card to purchase an item. We have tried settling the account 4 or more times and the system is so messed up it doesn't take our money from ANY bank account. Now our credit score has dropped 100 points. This has been a nightmare for our family. I strongly consider they stop lying to customers. Also, this has happened to my father and to one of our friends. This is very common in this company. The purchase process was easy enough, Eric was very nice and helpful, but delivery has been a pain! I purchased my son's loft bed on June 24th. Delivery was supposed to be July 8th, which is already quite a ridiculous time to wait. I had to call them today for confirmation, as they only tried once this morning before I was awake and that was trouble enough for them apparently. I call only to get told that delivery has now been postponed until July 12th! RIDICULOUS! read more

On 7/12/18 I purchased an electric recliner which they were to deliver on 7/25/18. The truck arrived on the scheduled day. One of the delivery men decided to unload the chair by himself & promptly dropped it from the back of the truck to the cement driveway (motor and all) As they started to unpack the chair there were visible scrape marks across the top & a cut/ slit on the back. The delivery man called customer service who asked to speak to me. Patrick in customer service said I had two choices; 1. Take a $35 credit (chair price was $834) 2. They would send out a repairman. I told him I had a 3rd option. How about sending me what I paid for which was a new, undamaged chair & I was sending that one back. He was very rude. Really? 2 choices ? I don't think so. On 7/26/18 I received a call from Ashley saying they would ship another chair on 8/1/18 between 9-noon. On that day I heard NOTHING from Ashley & there was NO DELIVERY. I then got on the phone to find out what was going on. After many phone calls, ridiculous hold times & their people cutting me off I finally got a Supervisor by the name of Chris. He was also rude, had no answers to the problem & refused to let me speak to anyone else. According to him there was no one else at corporate to speak to but him. He gave me the impression he was full of himself & could care less that they had screwed up two weeks in a row. He said I would receive a call from them in the next 24 hours. I have heard NOTHING from Ashley. They have been paid and are making NO attempt to rectify their mistakes. In my opinion STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company. In my experience they grab your money then could care less what happens after that. They ship damaged products to their customers. UPDATE: Ashley finally contacted me to reschedule my THIRD delivery of the recliner for 8/8/18. This afternoon I get a call from Stacy, Supervisor in customer care who tells me that their computers went down last night and that they would not be delivering on 8/8/18. So now they have struck out 3 times on the same delivery.....UNBELIEVABLE how sorry this company is. Stacy said they will be making "500" deliveries this Sunday. 500 ? Yeah, I believe that. During this time, I called the Arden store & asked to speak to the store manager only to be told by the receptionist that she wasn't allowed to put calls thru to the store manager. UPDATE: Sunday 8/12/18 the truck arrived, new chair was unpacked & it had a tear in the top left corner. The driver then followed company protocol & called Customer Care. SURPRISE! It's Sunday & they aren't open. What company has 500 deliveries in one day & closes their Customer Care dept.? The driver was very nice & apologized. The damaged was noted & I kept the chair with the agreement that they would send a technician to repair it & if it couldn't be repaired, I would receive a new, undamaged chair. I was told I would be contacted by Ashley. I waited 5 days with no calls from Ashley. I then called them & was told they would order the part & we would proceed from there. If I didn't call them, I am sure the matter would be dropped on their end. Stay tuned........ UPDATE: I had filed a complaint with the Department of Justice, Consumer Protection Agency. They sent the complaint to Ashley & this was their response; they said the chair was delivered on 8/9/18 with no further issues. NOT TRUE...they did deliver on Sunday 8/12/28. (They don't normally deliver on Sundays but due to "problems" they had to run 40 trucks that day) they AGAIN delivered a DAMAGED chair. read more

Check the prices on the website! We worked with Judy at the Arden store. Only after we purchased, and because I switched out a lamp, did I realize they are not matching the prices on the Ashley website. Judy straight up told me they are not obligated to go onto the website and match. However, if you find the prices online are different, they will match them. I switched out the lamp mid-order (between being in the store and receiving the delivery). I didn't receive a confirmation that the right lamp had been ordered. I had to call back and make sure the lamp price was right on my order since it was cheaper - they had not changed it. Stay on top of your order and ensure you get the best pricing available. I do like their products and have no complaints about the sectional or the lamp I purchased. I just wished they were more up front with prices. read more

She informed me I had to choose between her lowering the term of financing from 12 mos to 6 mos. she'd already moved it from 24 mos to 12 mos when we were forced to "deselect" because the set before this was damaged, all FOUR of them that they attempted delivery to us.Rather, push off on us!! Now if that isn't lowdown I don't know what is! I was told by mgr she paid the interest when they had zero interest! I asked her if she owned synchrony bank, who financed our furn. This is a case for the FTC! Stay away from here if your smart. I would give this store 0 stars if I could! We just moved to town in dire need of couches to sit on!! We ordered two couches and waited about 3 weeks to get, which ok as she did tell us this when ordered. Finally delivery day comes and we are given a 3 hour window 1pm - 4pm and told they will call 30 minutes prior to arrival. I am out of town still moving and my husband, even though extremely busy takes the time off work! 4pm comes and goes with no call or show. We called and were told they were on their way. Finally around 5:30ish they show up, very hard to understand as they barely speak English and leave the two couches. My husband was late to an appointment and ran out the door. After we return we see that one couch is broken and leg is folded in. I called customer service first thing. She even says she can see that couch is defective in picture that was taken by delivery guys. We first thought it was leg so she ordered a leg. I called back 5 minutes later after realizing it is the entire frame that is broken and buckling in! She said that either way she had to set up a service call and that would be 7-10 business days before they would call us to make an appointment!!! On Monday I called back to talk to a manager to see if this could be expedited. The person I speak to says that she would have manager call me back which I got a call back the following day. Manager tells me that there is nothing that she can do and then goes on to tell me that the repair people had not even been put in schedule yet and it would be ANOTHER 7-10 business days and absolutely nothing she can do to expedite this which is completely absurd!! After this horrible service there is nothing that they can do, really??? So those days pass and service company calls and they are almost 3 weeks out. So now Covid hits, we are all at home without enough seating for our family and I am sure that this will be delayed AGAIN! This customer service to me is completely unacceptable and the fact that we had so many things go wrong and they were frankly not willing to do anything to help!!! We have now purchased a new house needing a house full of furniture but there is NO way that I would buy something again here!!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM THEM!!!!!!! My mom bought a $1200 king size memory foam mattress two weeks ago it just arrived a few days ago. She slept on it once and realized that she was unable to sleep on the mattress she called and explained this to the customer care and was told she had to keep the bed there was no returns or exchanges (which was never explained to either of us I was there with her the entire time). So today we went to the store and spoke to Katie the sales associate who sold us the bed and her supervisor who in turn had an attitude (conversation was recorded) still proceeding to tell my mom she is stuck paying for a $1200 mattress that she can't sleep on. Worst experience with a company like this I've ever had we won't be back I wouldn't give a dime to a company who do business like this. read more

Worst experience buying furniture ever! I'm upset I had to give them one star. They deserve less! The following is the email I just sent to Ashley Furniture when they asked for my feedback: When I purchased the furniture, they told me the expected delivery day. At the time, I told them I could not be there and they said I could reschedule for a date and time that better met my needs. When they called, I told them that Wednesday's would not work for me or my wife as we both work on Wednesdays. They stated that they only deliver to my area on Wednesdays. I requested a later deliver, and they said they only deliver at a time that they have scheduled. I asked for another day, and they said there would be an additional fee involved. I then asked to cancel, and they said there is a re-stocking fee. My only option is to spend more money to not get the furniture or pay more to get it on another day. If my wife and I knew that when we purchased the furniture, we would not have made the purchase. My wife had to ask off work at a new job to get the furniture on Wednesday. I have spoken with the delivery manager as well as the manager of the store that we made the purchase. Both stated their hands where tied and that they were unable to do anything about my situation. The manager as well as the person that sold me the furniture no longer work at Ashley Furniture and the new manager said that they shouldn't have told me they can work with us to get another date for delivery. I feel that the manager's word that I purchased the furniture from should have been honored. It's not a money issue, it's the principle that the manager at Ashley Furniture can't keep their word. I have a hard time believing that nobody within the delivery service or Ashley Furniture could resolve the issue. It has been by far the worst buying experience I have ever encountered. It has also been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Nobody would work with us and everyone I spoke with blamed someone else and said the situation should have been handled differently when I purchased the product. Completely Unacceptable!!! I will never purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture ever again. Not only that, I will make it a point to tell everyone I know about my experience. If anyone ever brings up buying furniture, I will make sure they don't purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture. As far as the delivery of my product, the delivery was made at the time that was told and the guys delivering the product did a good job. First, it took about 30 minutes for a sales person to come ask me if I need help. They were all grouped together talking. Second, I received a call that only one of the chairs I ordered had come in and the next one would be received by May 22, 2015. I received the first chair on May 6. It's nice and comfortable and I was excited since company was coming the first of June I would have chairs! So, since I hadn't heard from Ashley Furniture by May 21, I called them. They showed that the order had been completed and that no further delivery was pending. Granted, they were very nice and professional on the phone when they told me the chair wouldn't arrive until June 21. HELLO???? I have already paid for the chair and delivery of that chair and now over two months since I paid for it, I will get it????? They did tell me that once I received the chair I could file a grievance. I asked why I couldn't file one now. "Well, we like for the furniture to be in the home, first." Never again will I deal with them. read more

My husband and I purchased a Tempur-pedic mattress, final cost over &8000. The salespeople were extremely nice and helpful. The delivery process is why I have rated them 1 star. They chose to bring the bed through the tightest entry, not the back door which was next to the stairs where the bed was to be taken. In the process of coming through the front door, they ripped the back of a recliner. Then found black handprints all over our brand (very expensive) new mattress. Not happy at all. read more

We had lots of problems with the delivery of a bed comprised of two twins on an adjustable base. We ordered a TempurPedic bed from them in mid-October, and the salesperson checked stock the day we ordered and told us it was available and that we would get our delivery on October 31. The bed was not available, we did not get it on October 31, and they pushed back delivery two other times after that date. Then when it was finally ready to be delivered, they wanted to deliver one of the twins one day and the other two days later (like that's convenient). I had to make many calls to the delivery service and to the manager at the store level to finally get my merchandise. It seems like the delivery service and the stores don't really communicate very well. I also agree with another reviewer in their complaint of not matching their online prices. I went in and bought a dresser in June and they wanted to charge me more than it was sold for online, and I had to insist on a price correction with the salesperson. If I could give less than a star I would. I bought a couch on memorial day and I still haven't received it and its almost been 2 months. It never came on the original delivery date that I was given by our sales person. Then when It was delivered it was the wrong sofa. Ashley then made it my responsibility to get back in touch with them and remind them that they had messed up and to set up a new delivery date. After setting up a new date that wasn't going to be for a few more weeks because they had apparently ordered the wrong thing and we were going to be out of town so it would have to wait until we were back on June 17th. While on vacation I received a text on June 8th saying our couch would be delivered on June 10th and we would be charged a 79$ fee if an adult wasn't there to get it and to call if we had any questions so I called and after 20 minutes of being on hold and checking my account they told me that was just an option to see if you wanted it sooner we have you down for June 17th still. Fast forward to June 10th I get a call at 8:58 am telling me the driver is 30 minutes away from my house so I had to call again to get the delivery date sorted out and make sure my account isn't charged for their mistake. I started this process on June 24th so excited to buy my first piece of brand new furniture and it is now July 13th and I still have an empty living room. I have been absolutely disgusted by the lack of empathy, communication, and professionalism throughout this entire process, and it is incredibly disappointing considering the amount of money I have spent on this piece of furniture. I can only hope and pray I get my sofa this week and it's correct so I can forget Ashely Homestore exists. I will NOT be a repeating customer and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

First off, we purchased 3 rooms of furniture, 2 mattresses, and a dining room table. I was looking for a particular dining table that we had seen there when we were looking a couple weeks before our purchase. They said it was now discontinued and could ,help me, they didn't carry it anymore. I found the table elsewhere and wanted to return the one I bought from Ashley, because it matched the other furniture from the set we did buy. They knew how badly I wanted that table to match the other furniture, because I made them look for it online and everywhere they could. They informed us we couldn't get our money back, the best they could do was let me get something else for the house. Well, I had purchased everything else we needed. We spent 8000.00 dollars there and only wanted to return a 399.00 dollar item. They also pressured us into buying a way more expensive mattress than we wanted and promised we could trade it in or get our money back if we didn't like it. My husband and I both have back troubles and they promised it was one of the best they had, and would definately be better than what we were originally looking at. for our back problems. Well now we have had it for a few weeks and it is horrible and uncomfortable. I wake up in pain every day. I have not contacted them about this issue yet, but I'm girding myself for a fight, based on the hard time they gave us about the table. Because of these 2 issues, I say BUY ELSEWHERE!!!! They want your money quick enough, but they want to do nothing to satisfy your complaints. or resolve issues. Their customer service is awful. I will not be returning to buy furniture here again, and I certainly will not refer anyone to this store. I can't believe that such a huge national store has such poor customer service and doesn't give a hoot about the customer once the purchase is made. If the issue with our bed is resolved favorably, I will amend to the post. If not, I will be going to the BBB and reporting them. I may take further action as well. We moved to Asheville from MI on 1/4/16, stopped in at the Arden store on 1/5, met Elvis in sales, wound up buying $6200 worth of furniture. Our experience with Elvis and Jeff was awesome. It took 3 deliveries around a snow storm, but we are extremely happy with everything, including the very professional delivery crew that just left our place - Joey and Demitrus. If I could give them a negative rating I would. This is by far the worst furniture buying experience I've ever had! I ordered my daughter a bedroom suit consisting of a dresser with mirror, chest of drawers, nightstand, queen sleigh bed, box spring and mattress. I also paid for in home delivery and set up. When the order was delivered on Saturday Dec 1 2018 it was missing the whole bed and the dresser mirror. Also, keep in mind that I paid extra for what they call "white glove set up" which is basically delivery and set up along with removal of old items and trash. Upon only half of my order being delivered I contacted quality care (sat on hold for 20 minutes) prior to the delivery guys leaving and no one seemed to know what happened to the rest of my order and I was told that a supervisor was assigned to my case and he would call me Monday. So I let the delivery guys go. They never set up any of my other items! They left the boxing in the plastic, the mattress in the box and the dressers in the middle of the floor. That is not what I paid for. Upon unwrapping the box spring I noticed that it was damaged. The mattress I ordered was suppose to be an 8in mattress, it was not. It was 6 inches at best. So I called quality care back to add these to my complaint list (sat on hold for 30 minutes). Where I was told that the mattress was final sale (which no one disclosed to me whatsoever!) and they were not going to do anything about that. Well Monday came and no one called me, as i was told they would . I called back late Monday afternoon and I was told that the supervisor had 48 hrs to call me. So come Wednesday NO ONE has called me yet!! So I called back AGAIN. Finally, after sitting on hold for over 45 minutes, I spoke to a supervisor who told me that i had 24hrs to return the mattress but no one noted on my acct that I had previously complained about this mattress so they were not going to do anything about it and that I was stuck with this awful mattress that sinks to the floor when you lay on it and never rose to the 8 inches it was suppose to be and that they would deliver my remaining items on Dec 11. Please keep in mind that my child has not had a bed in 2 weeks! Well Dec 11 comes and they call (an hour prior to my delivery window) to tell me they will not be delivering due to weather and the earliest they could get my furniture to me would be Dec 18. All of the roads in our area are clear and dry!! I then requested a full refund and for them to come and pick up everything. NO ONE even tried to satisfy me as a customer. Their customer quality is the worst I've ever seen. I will most definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Don't waste your time going there. read more

Service at the store and delivery were good. The furniture is not. I purchased a leather sofa in July. Six months later the center support of the frame completely broke when I sat down on it. The bottom frame completely disconnected from the back of the sofa. A service tech came out and screwed support joints on all center connecting joints of the frame. The frame was made out of soft, thin, pallet wood. The frame was connected with one staple, not screws or nails. The joint that broke had been connected at a knot in the wood. Two weeks later, my husband and I were sitting on the sofa and we heard a pop. My husband flipped the sofa over, and another part of the frame broke. After contacting the store and speaking to a representative, I was told a service tech would have to come out, and try to rebuild the frame. They would have to follow this protocol, and Ashley would not refund my money or take the couch back. They would have to do an even exchange if the service tech said the couch could not be repaired. This is totally unacceptable for a leather sofa priced at $1700.00. read more
