Alright Yelpers...I have to do the thing I hate the most on here...give a negative review! Before the bad I have to talk about the good! Natalie, our sales representative was absolutely fantastic! She was patient and helped guide us in the purchase of our bed. Now that being said.....Scott, the manager and Danny his manager were difficult to deal with. We purchased a Temperpedic mattress and a nice frame and pillows....my wife loves the decorative pillows...but we also bought a Temperpedic pillow for her and a storm 3 for me. The storm is absolutely the worst pillow you can buy. However, the mattress was the big issue. We had it less then 30 days and asked to use their comfort exchange as the mattress was to firm. They agreed and charged me for the shipping, twice, to which I am still waiting for the refund, as well as made money off of us for a new pillow. Fast forward 3 weeks later and the same problem...the mattress is too firm. Now when I say to firm, I mean I have pain from shoulder to shoulder from how the mattress is. I asked to do the comfort exchange again as this mattress is 1 not cheap and 2 when I did the first one I expressly stated my concern about getting another mattress and having the same problem. I was assured that I should, key word being should, be able to exchange again. Now I spoke to both Scott and Danny and both said there is nothing we can do. They were both unwilling to entertain the fact that I have an expensive brick in my bedroom that I can't sleep on. Danny went as far as to say "put a bed topper on it til you get used to it". Is that even what one would say about a brand new mattress???? Be aware if you plan to shop for a bed. They really are not out to make you happy after spending a lot of money. read more

I would not recommend. Tried to return furniture after 24 hours of it being delivered. They gave me the run around until 72 hours later they wanted to keep 30% for restocking fee and $150 for pick up fee. Worst customer service after buying their product . read more

I bought a 7 piece bar height table there & when I asked if it was solid wood they reassured me it was ....well it was NOT! It was particle board. We picked it up at their warehouse Because they wanted to charge an excessive amount to bring it basically from Exit 8 to Exit 11. We get it home to put the table together I noticed the scratch all down the side. I am mediately called the lady informed me someone will be out and he did come out instead of actually doing anything with the table or replacing it he pulled a furniture marker Out of his pocket & said OK now it's fixed. Ashley HomeStore had someone ready at the door to greet us when we walked through the door. He let us know about current sales going on and gave us space to browse. The store itself is very large. There seems to be many different styles and price points. Their sales person gave us just enough space to browse while still being close by in case we had any questions. Ashley definitely wants your business. They are ready to beat any competitor's price. We weren't able to find exactly what we are looking for on their showroom floor but I do think if I find it somewhere else and show them, that they would order it for us and beat the price. I only left four stars because we weren't able to find the perfect pieces that we were looking for. I will update this if we do end up purchasing something from them. read more

I've purchased several pieces from Ashley in clarksville and in Brentwood in the past. I've always been met with very friendly people and great prices comparably. I need a handle replacement for my dresser drawer, made a call, got our in the mail in a couple of days. Then most recently, needed a pillow replaced on my sofa due to my puppers and it was delivered in about a week. I am pleased with the quality of the furniture for the cost. read more

Let's just say we went in only knowing we NEEDED a new couch and didnt want to spend a ton of money. Our sales man devonte was absolutely amazing, not only was he patient but he was very understanding that we didnt know what we wanted. We must have worn that poor man out by running around the show room 5 times atleast testing couches going back to some rejecting others. We spent almost 2 hrs looking and he was there the whole time and in the end we found not only a couch but a recliner in the price range we were looking at and we got a sweet deal on it too. Shady business....Had problems from the start. Pick up went wrong. Then their delivery went wrong. We got the wrong item and pickup went wrong, twice. After that, we bought another chest to match the one they got wrong and hadn't heard anything for 3 weeks. Went in to inquire to be told,"wait another 6 weeks. Really disappointed. We found a dining room table that we REALLY like seen it on the computer. We ordered it back in August was told it would be there in 4 weeks, than got told would be October, than told November. When we ordered the dining set we said we needed it before November and the sales lady said OH no problem it will be here. Today went in and seen a guy named Joe he was VERY helpful. He got on the computer and says, Oh yea....you'll be lucky IF you even get the chairs cause this item has been discontinued! REALLY?! Was my reply. We left BERY unhappy and took our business to a rent to own place we've been doing business with for years where we got one heck of a deal. Another thing is how can ONE rent to own place get Ashley merchandise that's been discontinued and another one can't? This don't make sense either it's been discontinued or not. went in about three weeks ago now to purchase a mattress. I have been fighting with them ever since. My sales person lied to me and mislead me on just about everything. Was told I could return the mattress within 30 days. Was also told I could switch it out for a different one if that one wasn't working. Was told it was a 3% return fee. All were lies. After sleeping on this mattress for two days it threw my back out to where I had to seek a chiropractor to be able to stand up straight and walk. I missed a whole week of work because of this. After talking to several people it's because she sold me the wrong kind of mattress for how I sleep and with my back problems. I called and talked to a manager was told I had to wait 30 days before I could switch it out and that the next one I got I was stuck with. I asked if I could just return it then and was told they don't do returns. After explaining everything to the manager about what my sales person had told me. She didn't care and was rude about the whole situation. I would not recommend ever shopping with them for anything. It's been a nightmare and I'm still fighting with them over a $2400 mattress that I can't sleep on. I've been sleeping on a couch for the last month... if I could give them less stars I would. read more

Purchased a counter height table & 6 chairs from here. Decided to pick up ourself instead of paying delivery charge since we only live 7 miles from it. Long story short , get it home , unbox it & realized a there was a chunk out of one of the sides on table. I immediately called the store & was told to go ahead & put it together & they would send someone out to look at it & fix it. My MISTAKE should have taken the damn thing back! Walked in was only greeted by one person who was nice. After walking around in found a few pieces of furniture I liked and bought it. Then once I left it decided to go to Furniture connection and saw furniture that I really liked so Kristen was very nice. I told her that I wanted to get my money back from Ashley's furniture so I called there and spoke to the manager and she told me that I couldn't get my money back because it was a final sale even though it was less than an hour that I had just left that store. So after I hung up the phone I told Kristen at furniture connection what had happened and she handled everything for me. I was able to get my money transferred to furniture connection and buy the furniture I really liked. So don't buy anything from Ashley's furniture and walkout because you may not be able to get your money back. read more

Went into this store when it first opened. I asked if they had any "sideboards" available. This type of furniture is primarily used in a dinning room, but it can also substitue for other areas of the house. Needless to say, not one person knew what this was or to "google" this term. (Note to self: No brainer to use computer to check on this so "here's your sign!) Plus the furniture was "lacking" in "something", so I guess the best word to use is "cheap!" TERRIBLE SERVICE. Terrible. They promise you a short amount of time for your furniture to come in (like 3 weeks, or less - HA!) when you purchase. Don't hold your breath. Then the waiting period extends, extends, and extends some more. They act as if the circumstances were unforeseen and cannot be avoided or planned for. But everyone deals with storms, etc. and somehow they get the product to the customer. With other companies, even if there's a delay, it's brief and you have what you paid for in a reasonable amount of time. We purchased furniture and waited almost 2 MONTHS (after the promise of 3 weeks or LESS) for the second piece to arrive. Then after we assembled and found a few pieces were faulty, we let them know immediately. STILL waiting for the replacement parts to come in, for furniture we paid for over 4 months ago. I know our situation is NOT UNIQUE, because the SAME thing happened to family members. WAITING and waiting for furniture. They just give insincere apologies and answer you when they feel like or avoid you when you're asking for what you've already paid full price for. Won't be giving them any more business. read more

You can buy from Ashley's online store and have it delivered cheaper than buying from the store itself. Just bought a computer desk from their store in Clarksville TN. The price they had on it was $849, talked the salesperson into $679 tax included and paid for it and delivery charge. Got home and looked it up online to show my husband and the online price for the same computer was $399. How can they honestly justify charging more than double in the store? I called and they are to adjust the difference back to my credit card. Never again will I buy in store without first looking up the item for the online price! read more

Absolutely horrible. They attack you before you can get two feet in the door. I found a painting I liked, and didnt want to lug it around. I went to the front to see if I could leave it there, and the guy made it seem like I just asked him for a kidney. The woman that seemed so eager to help lost all interest when I explained to her I am building a house and wouldn't be purchasing for a few months. It was very clear they work on commission. To beat it all the lady that checked me out was incredibly rude, and tried to make me feel stupid when I couldn't remember the name of the sales girl, who BTW never told me it to begin with. Terrible service. All the employees were on their phones the whole time I was in there. I even waved to one, he looked at me and went to the back of the store after he seen me. Then once I had picked out my sofa and loveseat, they said a minimum of a month and a half wait. Seriously? I asked them what they had in stock and was told "pretty much everything has a month wait". I turned to my wife when we were at the register trying to convince her to wait and the rep walked away and disappeared. Found a new rep and he was just short of forcing us to finance at a 20% interest rate when I have stupid good credit. Over 800 saying that that's all they have. I told him I was good, and was paying debit. Then he told me that it could be 8 weeks before it comes in and then they would call me to set up delivery. This place is a joke. Do not even go in. I went online to Ashley and got my living room 400$ cheaper with delivery and in 2 weeks. read more

I will never purchase furniture again through ashley furniture. The customer service is good, but the communication about the product is very inaccurate. I purchased a TV stand with a heater that was "easily removable and comes with a shelf. Spring time rolls around and I go to remove the heater and non the less they ripped off the back panel to put a heater that really doesn't belong there. It should have had a removable panel that could be put back, not one that gets ripped out and then they try to charge you more money for them to come fix it. I also purchased a couch that started breaking down 30 days after we purchased it. They are a money hungry company selling over priced, bad quality furniture to naive people. Such a shame will be doing more research when purchasing furniture in the future. read more

Everything about my experience with Ashley furniture was not a good experience at all. They didn't have all the parts for the bed that we bought to begin with. The delivery guys the first two times were very rude and not personable. They didn't have the slats. Once they it up and realized they did not have all the parts they left a bed frame set up with out all the parts. The driver wanted me to sign saying the bed was delivered. I had to call the store to have someone else come out to fix the problem. They had to send somebody out to build slats for which broke on us a week later in the middle of the sleeping. They sent a metal frame out and they took the old one apart. After two weeks of sleeping on a metal frame The new bed that they re-ordered for us actually had the slats this time. The boxsprings came in a week later. But after being paid to have the old box springs taken away they refused to take away the box springs they were not in plastic which they never told us to put in plastic. Which is really confusing because when they put my new box springs down they took the plastic off the new box springs. So I called the store to ensure when my mattress comes in they would be able to take the old one away. So guess what when the new mattress came in they brought it to the house to set it up. For some reason they are not allowed to touch the old mattress that they are supposed to take away. So I had to move the old by myself and take it outside. I will say fortunately one of the warehouse managers was with the drivers and told him what was going on. I had so many problems with this store that he recognized my name and went back and got plastic covers and came back to help me put all the plastic on and carry it out to the corner of the road. He sent the drivers back to finally pick it up. I will never by anything from this company again Which really stinks because I still need to get the matching dressers which really stinks because I still need to get the matching dressers. My Recommendation is if you do decide to buy from this company make sure that they tell you everything you need to know before they come pick up the old stuff Because they don't tell you everything that has to be done before they come pick it up and they don't tell you that you're not allowed to touch your old mattress an old box springs that you have to move it all by yourself because they don't tell you everything that Hass to be done before they come pick it up and they don't tell you that you're not allowed to touch your old mattress an old box springs that you have to move it all by yourself. And if you're handicapped in my situation it makes it even worse because they don't care. This is a story about a 4 shelve book case. I went in this past weekend to purchase a 3 or 4 shelf book case for my house. The people were cordial enough and I found exactly what I needed. I purchased it from a worker there with, what I found out has been there 5 years. I was assured that when it was picked up it would be assembled. Our son, went out to the warehouse on Monday and low an behold, since it had not been noted on the receipt it was not assembled. Well a few calls later they said they would assemble it and we could pick it up the next day, Tuesday. So, again our son went out to pick it up and lo and behold it wouldn't fit in his car. So, he called me at work and I made arrangements to have it delivered for 79.00 + tax. We live less than 10 miles from the warehouse and I asked to have it delivered after 2:30 - 3:00 PM as no one would be home before then. Well, another surprise, that's an extra 50.00 + tax, of course. So, now, we're up to 140.00 or so, just for deliver, but, it could be delivered until Friday. Now, here's the catch, the 4 shelf book case with tax was 251.84. I would have been paying over an additional 50% just for delivery for them to travel less than 10 miles and arrive after 2:30 PM. The total cost of this 229.99 book case (before tax) for a less than 10 mile trip and arrive after 2:30 PM, was going to cost nearly 400.00. My question to you is does this sound like good customer service or simple money grubbing? BTW, I would have rated this 0 Stars, but, the review won't allow me to go that low. read more

the guy that helped us out is not very customer service oriented. he was coughing in front of us, and eating something..!!! not good!
