Caused damaged to our home!! Beware!!! Spent over 8k cash and received horrible service! Was sold a "white glove" service and employees were rude , scratched our new flooring and left garbage all over house and yard. We were promised set up and take away old items but revived the exact opposite , they left old items and refused to take them. There employees bonus off selling you the "white glove" service and do not care to assure the customer is taken care of. Manager promised us a $300 check for inconvenience and stated they would send someone to repair flooring, after all this we went in store and spent more money and purchased more items trusting they would make right by this. Only to find we were lied to and never received and compensation or even a phone call. Our sales representative Lee was amazing! However, the manager who should have been able to assist us was incredibly rude and condescending. From the get go she was annoyed that she had to walk over to us, made several rude comments about not believing the price match we requested even after I had showed lee. Comments such as "I don't know what to tell you" etc, are highly unprofessional in the customer service Industry. I went to the store for customer service and asked for a refund and the manager (asian guy named Tung) lied straight to my face and told me there was no possible circumstances where they could offer a refund or return and I confirmed this. I received a damaged dresser & was told by customer service they opened a claim for a discount because I did not OK a partial order + furniture came damaged. Prepare for a long story--but do learn from our mistake! My partner and I came in here in August after a recommendation from a family member who had great furniture. We wanted to purchase all our pieces at once since we just purchased a home. At first, one sales associate was nice and helpful and was going to help us, but she was not in the store yet. Another associate helped us get a credit application going and we didn't get approved for much which is insane considering our credit and income combined (it doesn't matter for this line of credit). She said don't leave we have the best deals, and I (pregnant and hungry) didn't want to start another process at another store. Manager stepped in and helped so we left that day (after about 3.5 hours) with our orders. We were told some items would be delivered in September and October. First item arrived: scratched. Delivery team said they called a tech and they would call us to schedule a time. Didn't happen and had to wait a month before I could get ahold of customer service to get a tech. Our October delivery dates were pushed back weeks. One couch arrived out of a set of two and half our sectional was delivered ripped. You can imagine our stress!!! Couldn't get an answer from customer service for a date when our items would come in. Now our final Item came in and drawer was broken and screws in multiple drawers were wrong! They didn't even bother to let me know. Same story, "they'll call you to schedule with a tech" I called next day and was sent straight to voicemail. Don't even bother going into the store because they're just as worthless. Every employee is really rude and doesn't seem to care if we get our furniture. Can't get a tech. No discount. Now waiting for December deliveries. I understand COVID interfered with some of this but bottom line:terrible customer service, half done jobs by delivery team, and poor communication. It's like you have to wait for someone else to go by before you can leave a display area. Anyway, the guy who waited on us was nice and he showed us what he thought we would like. The furniture on the floor could not be sold, it had to come from a warehouse in another town (Bait & Switch)... Upon delivery furniture was severely damaged , I was told that it was a warranty issue and they would fix it (the delivery people tried to hide the damage until they could get out of there).. I went back to the store with pictures and was told it would be fixed under warranty.. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!!! The dresser since then has fallen apart and needs to be trashed and replaced, and the TV table still has its back torn apart.. Once you sign for accepting the damaged product you are screwed and stuck with it and they don't respond. Buyer Beware: Just ordered a sofa recliner. We were charged $200 for delivery. Nancy the salesperson never told us how much we would be charged she just said it would be delivered on a date. Usually between my husband and myself we would have noticed, but right before walking in we got disturbing news. So I was on the phone and he was listening with 1 ear. We realize there is usually a delivery fee, but we think $200 is pretty steep and if she would have verbally commented the amount, We would have hitched up our trailer and picked it up ourselves. Ordered some bedroom furniture in early August with a delivery date for the first Saturday in September. They called the Thursday before delivery day at 12:30pm and left a voice message to call before 2:00pm and confirm the delivery or it would be postponed. I listened to the message and called them back just after 1:00pm. I talked to a representative and he informed me that the delivery is confirmed and will be there this Saturday between 12:00 and 4:00pm. Saturday came but there was no delivery. I called and another representative informed me it was delayed a week since there was no voice confirmation. I informed her that they did leave a voice message and I did call them back before the 2:00pm cutoff and confirmed the delivery. She told me that all she could tell me is what her notes say. My wife went in to purchase her furniture. As she's purchasing the furniture they offer her a better discount. She did not ask for it. But they offered it. So she was moving forward. When we chose not to get their protection program they told us we do not qualify. How do you not qualify if you just don't get a protection program for $500. This comes from the manager Lionel. Do not understand. Would you buy something that you didn't want. The protection program they sell is not very good. It doesn't even work. I'll find a way to say something else other than what it is. And the reason I know that is because I sold Furniture and the Plans. And every time we had a warranty issue it was always some reason they didn't warrant it. Do yourself a favor and trust that this place only has TWO stars for a reason. You could take your chance and be one of the very few that has a 'good' experience - OR - you can deal with a lot of horrible customer service and poor shipping/delivery issues. Feel free to read this entire post or I can sum it up right here: Devin (store manager) is extremely unprofessional and - if you do purchase something - the delivery information you will get about your order is most likely false. You will deal with insincere store employees (store cultures start from the top and Devin is 100% a bull-shitter) and not just one - but many delivery cancellations/mishaps. People flock here for the good prices (that's what led us here) but let me tell you - paying a few hundred bucks more at a different furniture store is worth saving you the trouble you will go through here. My husband and I went into this Ashley Homestore after moving to Fresno. We purchased a 7 piece dining set, sectional couch and bed frame on June 25th. The couch and bed frame were in stock so we got those within a week or 2. The dining set was on back order so we were told it would be delivered a month later on July 27th. The 27th came and we had already confirmed the delivery through text message 2 days before. We sat and waited for the 4 hours and no one showed up. I called and was told: "the table did not meet Ashley's standards so they chose not to deliver it - someone should have told you." I contacted customer service over and over again after being given the run around and the table and chairs were finally delivered on August 10th. However - the table was broken. The driver told us to accept the chairs so we did. After calling customer service 10 other times to establish a delivery for the table - they told me (after 4 different dates were confirmed - came and gone - and still no table) it would finally come on October 7th. OCTOBER 7th! When I purchased the table at the end of June. I said I'd like to chairs picked up and I'd want a refund. They put up a fight but I eventually was helped by someone at the store who agreed to refund us for the table/chairs and my original delivery fee. Which brings me to my last point. When I was finally fed up with dealing with customer service through the phone, I decided to stop by the store to speak with someone in person to get some answers. I already knew the manager's name was Devin - I remembered him from our very first visit. I walked in and the lady at the front podium asked who I needed to speak to. I said I have a pretty complicated situation and would appreciate speaking with Devin and she pointed me in his direction. I walked up to the customer service desk and there sat Devin and his 3 coworkers - all dressed up and talking and having a great time. When someone at the desk asked what I needed - I explained I had a complicated situation and needed to speak to the manager. They all smirked because they could sense my frustration and Devin quickly deflected helping me and pawned me off to (what I assume to be) just another store employee. They all laughed when he did this and I was extremely embarrassed. I am a store manager for a big box retailer and the way he did this truly was unprofessional. The gentleman named Jacob who was dealt to help me was able to get me the answers that I needed. I've worked in retail management for 8 years and wish that Ashley Homestore had a system in place to escalate these issues to the district manager. Whoever Devin reports to is either completely misled or does not pay attention to these horrible reviews. If he/she cannot notice a trend by now - shame on them. I will never shop at Ashley Homestore again and will make sure no one I know does either. Oh - and this place advertises 40-50% off year round it seems. So don't think that you're getting a good deal that is going to run out soon. The salesman that originally helped us said the sale prices would end after the 4th of July but the store continued to be 50% off for months. BUYER BEWARE. YOU COME TO YELP FOR A REASON. Worst company to buy from. They do what's called "turn and burn." Basically, it means to sell something and move to the next. They will lie to you to make the sale. And do not buy the extended warranty. It is a nightmare to set an appointment and they give you a runaround like crazy. If you call and have questions, good luck finding anything out. No one knows where to send you. My wife went into the store to complain to the manager. He was a total idiot. Did not know what number for us to call. There were no customers inside, but 6 sales reps standing around, doing absolutely nothing but playing on their phones. If you buy from them, after reading all of these negative reviews, you deserve what you get. Update: Had appointment scheduled today for repair under warranty. We had to call to confirm, as they said that their computer network was down. They stated that the appointment time was for 9:30am to 12:30pm. So, 12:30 comes and goes. No call or service tech. My wife calls the service line. They tell her that the appointment is set between 1pm and 4:30. WTF? I spent half of the day off from work because they screwed up. I'm extremely angry with this company. I received 2 different confirmation texts and emails. I called and rescheduled a delivery for a later date due to family emergency and it was all confirmed. Apparently I missed a phone call that said if I didnt call by 2pm that I wouldn't receive my delivery. I do not understand why this happened when I confirmed with each text and email I received. I went to the store and talked to an employee. They did NOTHING! The first time I went in to buy the couch the manager was very rude to her employees and looked like she didnt care about her job. This time I saw her and the same thing. The employee went to get her manager, her manager did nothing and just scuffed it off like it's no big deal. The employee then proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do but deliber my couch after september. What the heck?! They gave my couch away!!!!! If I had a family emergency again what will happen?! This company doesn't care. I canceled my order and asked for the cash back I paid. They refused to refund me. Said I will receive a phone call in the next week or so. Said after that it will.be 2-3 weeks to receive my money?! On August 3rd I followed up because I didn't get anything delivered only to be told my entire order was on back order. I had to complain to 4 people and was never provided a supervisor. I finally got partial order on August 6th. Then I found out the original employee messed up on my order and failed to order half of the furniture that I had paid for. I went to complain to the store Manager who obviously didn't care and didn't want to resolve the matter. I called corporate and they still did nothing. I am still waiting for half my order. Tbh I'm super annoyed right now! I ordered furniture from Ashley the last week in June! They told me that our bedroom set would be delivered 7/5 and they would call a few days before to schedule the date! Well I never heard from them so I give them a call to confirm the 7/5 delivery and when I finally talk to someone they proceed to tell me that the rails were on back order and that they wouldn't be able to deliver my order until 7/30! Well fast forward to today...delivery confirmed, truck arrives, and they start unloading and the guy comes back to tell me they didn't send the freaking headboard to my bed! I purchased furniture for my second home about six weeks ago and just received my items this week. I was understanding that the delivery only goes to certain areas once per month and accepted the fact that I would be without furniture for the first couple of weeks in my home. However, one of the items was STILL on backorder despite being six weeks since my purchase. The sales person assured me that if I moved my delivery to December the dresser would be in stock and delivered with the rest of the furniture. Two of the items were fine--the couch and the kitchen table. But everything else was not fine. The bed came with the wrong parts so they put together the bed as best as they could, but the footboard was damaged and the headboard is missing because the wrong size arrived with the rest of the bed. The two guys didn't put the hardware on the nightstand or the drawers on the bottom of the bed. The bookshelf/TV stand was not assembled correctly. Aside from having furniture that I waited for so long to get being wrong/damaged, I went back to the store where I purchased my items and asked for a manager. The manager acknowledged herself, but then told me I'd be better off working with one of the clerks as they were better equipped to help resolve the issue. She didn't even bother to listen to my issue! She simply dismissed me. Perhaps she was annoyed that I interrupted their gossip session with the sales person who was there at the counter flirting with all of the women. The only resolution that girl could give me was that a technician would be calling me within 72 hours to schedule a time to come see my broken furniture and schedule a time to repair/replace it. Thus my wait continues... I am appalled that this is the way your employees handle issues, especially for someone who paid over $3000 cash to furnish a whole house. I am extremely discouraged that someone on your management team would dismiss a customer so quickly. As someone who's main responsibility is customer service, I understand that the problem is never the problem itself, it's the response to the problem that matters. Because of this experience, I will make sure that everyone I know (on social media as well) will never purchase anything from your store. The reality is that the manager might not have been able to do anything different than the clerk, but it was her treatment of me that is grinding my gears. I left with an idea of what I wanted. A few days later after looking at other places I called and was helped by Nicole. later that afternoon she was able to text me some photos of items I was inquiring about. She gave me a really great deal and when I told her we wanted the items but we have an elderly father with us we needed to make the transaction quick. She had everything ready for us ! We got their she went over all the costs, discounts, delivery instructions etc. We signed and got our copies and seriously were out the door in 15 minutes! Was told they only deliver to my "area" once a month and that I'd have to wait a month to get my items. A month later and they only deliver half of my items. We were informed four separate times within five months through phone calls, emails and text that items were being delivered. Each time the delivery dates came up, they were a no show.
