Update to this, I was contacted by multiple people regarding my situation. Thought there would be some hope to the matter. Unfortunately they tried to turn it into another discounted purchase. I just needed cushion replacements. for which they stated expired in 4 years. Although I have a 5 year warranty that is up this july. Make it make sense people, you cant make this stuff up. Please avoid this place unless you want faulty furniture and a headache in the event your items damage. It would have been nice to be told when purchasing that all coverage was a lie and nothing is covered. I guess people have to make the sell somehow. read more

I would love to say I had a great experience at this location however this was not the case! When we first came in we had a great encounter with the sales rep Chris we thought he was an informative individual and honest however, as we started noticing this was not the case at all, Chris was very deceitful,unethical and very UNPROFESSIONAL. It all started with our 1st delivery yes (1st) unfortunately the first sofa and loveseat we choose didn't fit through the our apt front door entrance because of this issue we had to get new ones, with our first choice of sofas we purchase a lamp and end tables. However because of the sofas that didn't fit we had to send the sofas, loveseat and end tables back. (We only stayed with our mattress and bed )upon me signing and informing Ashley furniture that everything was great we forget to send the lamp back to the warehouse when I informed the delivery guys at the time they informed me that they can't accept it since I signed off on it. (No problem) I'll just go to the sales rep and explain to him the situation right? So later that day April 26th (Saturday) we went to the store to order our new sofa and loveseat and explain to him the situation, he and another gentleman confirmed verbally and nodded that I can send the lamp back once we receive the second delivery, and that he will write a note on the delivery notice, we had to wait a whole month for our sofas since it was on back order (which we completely agreed with) so fast forward to May 31st when the 2nd delivery arrived the delivery guys informed us that they are not able to take the lamp because they were a third party company and there was no record of my sales rep CHRIS saying we can send the lamp back. I text him to informed him that the delivery drivers won't take the lamp and he's reply back was "Yea lamps are final sale no refund" I told him well the issue here is that you never informed me about this and you told me at the store that the delivery guys can take it back and his response was "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, generally speaking most accessories are final sale. I am not in today, unfortunately to assist on my end. Going through the guest services is the easiest way to resolve the issue they maybe be able to grant you a credit or refund" why not tell me this at the store when I first went to see you to change the original loveseat and sofas? Why give me the run around? YOU made a good sales commissions since we spends over 10k at your store.! I honestly feel he was just only interested in his commissions and nothing else. I work in hospitality and could never imagine treating anyone like this! So now I'm out of $150. And if they didn't want to give me a refund I would have easily accepted a store credit or an exchange. And don't ever bother contacting customer service they were unable to assist me or do anything for me. It was and still is a very frustrating situation! This is by far the worst customer service I have received in my life! I never write reviews but if you come near this store or this individual don't walk but run! And to Ashley furniture corporate you as a company could do better with your customers! I will never buy from you guys again! Jesus Christ, I have never been more stressed. Please save yourself the trouble and don't shop at Ashley's, especially don't shop at this location. I don't want to get into the entire story about how the salespeople are incompliant and how they are cheats and liars. We did not receive what we ordered, and Ashley refused to send us the missing piece or refund us. Ashley's delivery people also damaged our new floors and refused to take responsibility. They will also pretend to give you a discount in-store but what they really do is inflate their prices and give you a fake discount that reflects the Ashley website. Example: The Piece in the store: $2,169.99 (but they gave us a 20% discount, so it came out to $1,750) Same piece online: $1,750 Also, keep in mind (cause they did NOT tell us this, and they won't tell you) that they don't take returns. Once it's in your home, you are stuck with it. And from reading other reviews, it looks like they won't give you a refund even if you don't accept it into your home. Our in-store experience was excellent. Salespeople were friendly and took us through inventory for hours to ensure we left happy, which we did! Couches arrived on time (about 4 weeks after our visit and initial purchase) and are excellent quality. Our delivery experience, however, left much to be desired. Basically, the two guys delivering our living room set told us the sofa wouldn't fit in our freight elevator. They were absolutely certain that there was no way to get it up to our apartment on the 12th floor. Determined to make it work, having spent over $1,000 on this couch, we told the guys to leave the sofa. We planned on trying to lug it up 12 flights of stairs. Low and behold, two maintenance men on our building's staff were able to get it up via the elevator no problem. I was ecstatic that we were able to get the couch upstairs, but disappointed that the Ashley guys didn't try a bit harder to do it themselves, especially since it would have cost us money. read more

Ashley Furniture is trying to cheat customers. I bought a very nice loveseat, then went online to look at the armchair that the sales person said matched. The loveseat I had just purchased was priced $300 less online. As an experiment I tried to put the same loveseat on my cart to see if there were any hidden fees. Ashley's website would not let me put it in my cart unless I typed in my zip code. As soon as I did, the price jumped back up. Ashley is targeting more affluent areas unfairly even if the goods are exactly the same. I will be shopping at Ashley in the future and suggest you don't either. read more

Ashley HomeStore was an alright experience. The best par t was that the sales rep Karen was patient and helpful with my mom picking out furniture. Also the transparency there some minor flubs with purchasing process but the staff was up front about it. What was also amazing is the on time delivery! I visited this location in August and was approached by an associate named Vauda Flint. She was very nice at the time - told me she was fresh from Charlotte, N.C, and also working in real estate to help to support her children. She offered her social media info and followed me on IG which I figured was strange but harmless. However, a few weeks ago, completely out of the blue, she posted a negative comment on an IG conversation I was having with someone unrelated, putting clown emojis and weaponizing my personal info by saying I "wasn't even from NYC", (something I shared during our interaction at the store). It was just weird behavior because I am not friends with this woman, nor have I ever engaged with her online (or offline outside of furniture talk at this store). She kept going even after I removed her as a follower and tried to keep it lighthearted. I was going to let it go but because of that, it'll feel unsettling for me to shop here again and that sucks because it's conveniently located. The most horrible experience with a sales person and store I've ever had. Manager was dishonest and manipulative. After opening a store card and purchasing a Chofa for myself and a mattress for my mother, spending around 3200 dollars, i was told i had pay an extra delivery fee on top of the delivery fee i already paid for my couch. Turns out this was complete bs so i cancel the couch. As for the mattress, it was a floor model which we decided to buy from my mother because we thought it was a specific Stearns and foster mattress that she really wanted and the price was very good. We were told that even though it was a floor model we would have some kind of a warranty in case there was an issue with it. Come to find out not only is the mattress defective but it is not even the model we were told it was. Now we are stuck with a Mattress that I've already paid $500 towards because it was sold to us as is which also wasn't fully explained to us at the time. I have no recourse and I'm stuck paying off a defective mattress that my 65 year old mother who has back issues has to sleep on in discomfort every night. I brought a complete bedroom set with Mattress and box spring. Delivered on 10/13. Mattress cost 4488.00. Received a pop up ad from PC Richards with the same mattress for 3349.00 call Ashley's spoke to the District Manager Nicole P. stated that I already purchase the bedroom set nothing they cant do about it. I asked about return policy. They said Ashley policy is non refundable mind you i had spend close to 13K on the complete bedroom set. I am very disappointed with the way they handle this. If the would be a zero star I would put it. We bought a dinning table with chair in this store last February 2019, for quite amount of money along side with the insurance. After 5 months one of the chair (which is the isle chair, and it cost more than the regular one) was broken last Tuesday afternoon when my dad was having his lunch, the front leg got broken and my dad fell from it. These are my concerns: 1. We called right away, the lady I spoked with just transferred me to customer care(which is a third party insurance), I have been waiting for more than 20mins and nobody responded, I just hang up. 2. My husband called and was told that the insurance will not cover it, because for that amount of insurance they only COVER THE SCRATCHES not the BREAKAGE DUE TO CRACK of the wood from the leg, that they will refer us to another repair company and we have to PAY OUT OF OUR POCKET, FOR REAL!!!??? What is the ise of the insurance, it seems that THEY ARE SCAMMERS, SELLING THE INSURANCE THAT WON'T EVEN WORK FOR YOUR NEEDS DUE TO THEIR WORKMANSHIP FAILURE. 3. I called the customer again coz I got furious about what they said to my husband. They try to accomplish me coz I got mad with the issue in the insurance, so they send me email that I have to respond within 72hrs with the pictures of the broken chair. I am giving this store one star because the way I have been treated after I canceled my order. Everything went smoothly in the store, I did as the sales representative asked me to. Went home and measured my livingroom, my door way and elevator. The delivery people sucked and that is not on Ashley's. So whatever, we now try to figure out how I will get my sectional after the botched delivery. It was a disaster, then we come to an agreement of them paying for my special breakdown delivery. But I can't get my furniture for like a MONTH! Absolutely not! Refund me my money please! They do what they can to keep me as a customer. I am completely disappointed and just want my money back. So this is where it gets worse. It has been two weeks and I still have not received a refund. Now after multiple attempts to reach them, I finally get into contact with the store. BEWARE! I furnished my entire apartment with Ashley in August of 2019. I spent thousands of dollars here. Everything was delivered and assembled within a week. They let you know that once delivered any returns have to be done by you without the delivery service help. I noticed after a few weeks my dresser was not holding the drawers correctly due to sloppy assembly. I called and they said there was nothing they could do. Fast forward 6 months later my $700 Dresser is completely falling apart. I called to make another compliant and they opted to send me more drawers... not a new dresser. I received my drawers at the beginning of June and had a scheduled maintenance appointment the first week of July due to COVID. I flew back to NY from CA for my appointment only to be told there was a problem with the scheduling and they wouldn't be coming. They rescheduled me for the following week only for that appointment to come and the same thing to happen. This happened TWO MORE TIMES! Service was great. Couch was great. Delivery windows was between 2-6pm. Took off of work. They showed up at 8:30pm. I tried to call for compensation they gave me run around saying its a third party company. Its tough to say. How can my wife want to be a returning customer after waiting 6 plus hours for an agreed time from 2-6pm. If they wouldve covered the delivery we would shop back at ashleys but they say "they are not affiliated" with their delivery service lol. Great joke and it was on me. Do not purchase the furniture insurance. They tell "everything is covered" and because of a previous bad experience I asked a lot of questions. They do not give you any reading material that clearly defines what is covered or what makes the insurance void. So it was a complete surprise when i found out that my insurance no longer covered my couches because i moved. Leather couches started to lose color four months after purchase. read more

2 hours and 30 min on the Sunday evening spent finalizing the sale to only cancel in less than 5 min the next day due to ill-representation of Ashley's employee, Mr. Kinel (refuse to provide his last name for security purposes). Although Ms. Navorys, wonderful sales person who was patient, had hard-to-find mannerism and customer service skills, was a new representative of Ashley's at Atlas location, won our business and helped us to find what-we-thought-@-the-moment 'the perfect pieces for our newly renovated home ($2600 on sofa, 2 accent chairs, a small all purpose table; warranty for 5 years; and taxes). She was assisted by the operational manager to set up the final figures (you will know why the manager's presence was mentioned here a bit later). We got the finance approved and everything was finalized, but then it dawned on us to confirm if the entry of the pieces getting thourgh our doors so we asked for the measurementsake and we were told to call back the next day if anything. The next day we called advising that the measurements are falling a bit short from what the requirements were. It was then we were told to come in and sign new documentation for the "Guaranteed delivery". Now please remember nowhere during the original negotiations and/or the next day extra charges was mentioned, Which would not have would been a problem as long as it was mentioned or if it was mentioned in a good manner after a brief apology (for the inconvenience) when I arrived at their location after long day of work. So at around 8:40 p.m. on Monday I go upstairs in the Ashley's Furniture Store to sign this particular piece of documentation for guaranteed delivery while my husband Waits downstairs. There were 4 individuals sitting in the Square office and 2 employees standing so total of 6 people when I walked in all turned their attention on me. I gathered myself from this unexpected magnitude attention and started my explaination for my return while all of the 12 Eyes/ears Fixed On Me ( there were no other customers I believe because it was late in the evening). So, quietly I mentioned that I am here to sign papers for guaranteed delivery. After about a minute, I get asked a question by Mr. Kinel, " so do you want to pay the $169 now or should we add that to your finance?" I calmly and quietly explained at this was not mentioned at all yesterday or today. To that Mr. Kinel said "so it is $169 for the guarantee delivery (in a way saying that let me mention it to you right now). There was no apology for any sort, but rather I felt much embarrassed, flustered, angry at this moment, in front of all the six employees. I asked to step away to call my husband and decided to cancel the order for that reason. To be bullied by an employee especially so called a reputable business like Ashely's, this embarrassement was not deserving for a customer. This is my first time and I can assure you and the last time Ashely's will see this customer. There are plenty of other fishes in the sea with much better product along with some sensitivity toward their customers. NEVERTHELESS, Ms. Navorys was awesome and nothing but awesome! read more

Purchased several pieces of furniture at this location. We had several bumps in the way, and I'd admit we were certainly not the easiest of customers to deal with. BUT between a wonderful salesman, Miguel, and a a great store manager Kendrick, through their patience and striving to put the customer first at every corner, we couldn't be happier with the end result. Seriously, these guys are great and worth your time to check out and purchase furniture from. Can't stress that enough. I do see negative reviews for this location, and at one point I thought I was heading there, but through excellent communication and customer driven service, they proved me otherwise and couldn't recommend them and this store more highly. Ashely's has great furniture to begin with, we've made most our purchases through them in other states prior to this. The salesman Rich Rajkumar "TRUSTED ADVISOR". Conned me into paying for two warranties for a couch and a coffee table at $130 for the couch and $30 for the table. He specifically told me he would lower the price for the coffee table by $15 so that he could get me to pay for that $30 warranty. When I had to return the couch due to the fact that it could not fit into my apartment, I was trying to get a refund for the couch's warranty and they were telling me I paid $80 for the couch warranty and $80 for the coffee table warranty. Who the hell would pay an $80 warranty for a $145 table?!?! I was on the phone with them for so long, worst customer service. I waited, they finally gave me the couch costs back. But they still haven't given me back my $80 ridiculous warranty on the coffee table after asking them to cancel it a million times due to how I was tricked into paying for it. I purchased a kitchen set. Upon delivery, one of the chairs was wobbly. The delivery person said "go to Home Depot and buy felt". I made him take the chair back. Upon delivery of the replacement chair, it was even worse. I called Ashley Furniture and was told the only thing they could do for me was send me "complimentary felt". Back on September 8, 2020 we ordered a sectional couch at the Glendale store (zipcode: 11385). Our salesman was very nice and helped us with our needs. We told him the type of couch we wanted, what our measurements were and explained that we had a doorway that the couch cannot cover. We ordered a sectional that included 3 pieces ( a love seat, a single chair and a sofa with a corner wedge). We were told that the couch pieces can be arranged the way we needed to fit the area in our living room. When the couch arrived on Halloween day, we told the delivery men it was not correct and did not fit properly. As they unwrapped the couch, they told us that they are only the delivery people and we would need to call customer service. They cannot take it back because it is already in the house. We told them that we would have never know it wouldn't fit if it didn't come in the house. They proceeded to direct us to call customer service. That night we spoke to an instant message customer service agent on the website and they directed us to call the store we bought the piece from. The next morning we called the store and spoke to our sales representative. He stated that we had to call customer service because the couch is already there. We then called customer service who directed for us to put a request in via email. We did that on the same day. Over a week later they reached out to us and told us there is nothing they can do for us because the couch is in our house. I explained that we have been voicing our concerns about this from day one and no one is receptive to us. She was very nasty to us and stated that "We know what we bought". I explained that the long part of the couch is blocking our doorway and this is not what we discussed in the store. She stated that we saw a computer generated picture in the store. I said we did not. There is not a picture of the couch on the invoice. It only says right and left and it doesn't identify if it is the right and left as your sitting on the couch or looking at the couch. She stated she was calling the store to verify if they showed us a picture. I was waiting on hold and she never returned to the call. She transferred me to our sales representative and I explained the whole situation to him again. He stated he was going to speak to his supervisor and get back to us . They would try their best to help us out. This was 2 weeks ago. We have called and left messages and able reached out to our sales representative via text message with no response. We have just been ignored and pushed aside because they got their money and do not care if their customers are satisfied or not. I am very disappointed with how this was handled. Whether we are wrong or right, as a retail store customer service should be a priority. We were yelled at, treated as if we were idiots and the bottom line is I explained that we did not see a picture in the store on the computer. The woman stated they would have proof we did see it. I said ok show it to me because I know we didn't. She then transferred us and hung up. We were treated as if we were idiots and dealing with us was annoying them. My family is in the middle of a full home renovation. Our couch was our first purchase. We are working on a full new dining room set, master bedroom set, office furniture and possibly a new bedroom set for my daughters room. However after the terrible customer service experience we had with Ashley furniture, resulting the minute we had a concern with the purchase of the couch, our business will have to be taken elsewhere. Currently I now have a couch that does not fit my living room. I am forced to move the single chair our of the set in order for it to fit a space opposite the way we originally wanted it to. The customer service was so very disappointing in this situation. Just the fact that there was no response to our concern, outright ignoring us or being spoken to as if we had no clue as to what we were taking about. A sectional that was a purchase of under 3,000 has now costs the store many additional sales that would have resulted in 3 -4x's that price.
