Purchased last year (2024) . I was moving to a new upper duplex unit and went to Ashley on S 27th st in Milwaukee. I purchased a simple L shaped couch which I liked and after measuring unit I knew it would fit through the doorways and up the stairs. Paid the standard delivery fee and when the drivers showed up they spent about 7 minutes trying to get the couch which was 2 separate pieces into the stairwell. They gave up and said the product was undeliverable and took the couch back to the store. I went and spoke to my sales guy and the store manager who refused to refund my delivery fee. However she gave me the name and phone number of a private mover who when I contracted drove over to the store picked up my couch, and with his helper got the couch up the stairs in about 4 minutes. Store manager still refused my delivery fee refund and I had to pay the private movers as well. Bottom line buyer beware, I would recommend that you take your business elsewhere. read more

I have to start by saying the sales personelle at the store were all very nice. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. My furniture was delayed coming in and then when I got got it home it was damaged. I immediately called and I sent pictures of the damage. Over the next week I received random texts and they just kept telling me to give them another 24-48 hours. They said they would have a repairman come out, but they would never schedule it and they eventually quit replying to me. The last time I was on the phone with them I heard 2 employees in the background make fun of another customer.I went back to the store and they scheduled a time to deliver new furniture. My husband took off work to be home when the furniture was supposed to be delivered and I received a text the night before that they had to reschedule again because the new furniture was also damaged. I won't ever buy from them again. I would give a zero if it was an option. read more

I ordered 2 couches, 1 dining table and cocktail table. They tried to make the delivery with all my items incomplete and told me to wait until March 21st to receive the parts that were missing what kind of business does this. When I spoke with customer service over the phone are RUDE as hell. I tried to cancel my order and they want to charge me the 20% fee cause i tried to cancel my order billshit. I've been a loyal customer of Ashley Furniture for years, but my recent experience was beyond disappointing. On Mother's Day Sunday, I went to purchase a $400 sofa for my mother. Despite being told a couple of weeks earlier that they would cut the delivery fee in half, they refused to seek the couch without the $200 delivery fee just because my mother lives in an apartment. This was for a single item, not a whole set, which makes the fee absolutely unreasonable. The inconsistency and the misleading information left me feeling like I was lied to, and I'm still baffled as to why a single $400 couch warrants such a hefty delivery fee. This experience has seriously changed my view of this store, and I won't be returning. Also I highly recommend other to not go there. Same inventory in other store with delivery fees $89.00. I thought the sale guy Carvelle was nice until reakized the whole thing was a game. He said the manager would call she never did. Avoid this place. read more

After three years the fabric is becoming defective. The manufacture of the furniture is FLEX STEEL, yes flex to break. OMG the scam of the called furniture protection policy is such a rip off, in the policy what is covered is accidental puncture's, cuts or rips. I decided I needed a smallish recliner for the reading nook I was creating in my bedroom. I stopped in at Ashley in Greenfield and William greeted me when I walked in. He showed me the different styles and models and patiently explained the differences. He listened and understood what I was looking for and didn't do any hard sell to get me to buy something I didn't want or need. All in all, I was quite pleased with the experience. William was great, the chair is perfect, I got a fair price, and it will be delivered in a week! The only downside is the cost of the add-ons. No, you probably don't really need the extra warranty; but I've been an Ashley customer for years and it seems I always end up using the warranty. Extra $100. I'm 60 years old and live in an upstairs apartment - yes, I need delivery and installation. Tack on another $160. Then taxes, and my $400 chair came to 704.11! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I purchased a bedroom set in November of 2024. I used my Ashley Credit Card. The sales person, Jacob, told me that with my card I qualify for 60 months interest free. That was the first screw up as he put me into an interest bearing promo. My delivery was a nightmare. Not only was it 2 hours late, the delivery driver was higher than a kite, and one of the parts of the bed came broken. I had to sleep on the floor for 3 days. I went to the store and finally picked up the new part. While there, the manager Liz, told me she will fix the promo issue and also comp me for the delivery fee. Months later, and it's STILL not resolved. They never comped me nor submitted a fix for the promo code. I have called numerous times & have either been hung up on or ignored. I filed a complaint with BBB & the store had the audacity to respond that everything has been taken care of. My balance & interest bearing promo say otherwise. My partner and I had a great experience with Ashley HomeStore. We felt no pressure from the associates and got zero interest financing on a living room set we love. We had done plenty of research online and had an idea of what set we wanted. Skylar took us right to the set we were interested in and let us take our time browsing without escorting us or being overbearing. She checked in with us a couple of times and helped us decide between two pieces when we were unsure. When it came time to check out, she was efficient without seeming rushed and managed to get a manager over so we could get free delivery on two separate deliveries so our sofa could arrive within 4 days. Bought a couch and love seat through Ashley furniture. Waited more than a month to have it delivered. Three months after delivery, the inside of our love seat cushions (cushions are sewn into the couch) started to come undone at the seam and stuffing started to come out. Called up Ashley about this in *September*. There were multiple unreturned phone calls and promises of sending a new cushion sleeve that didn't happen (apparently we can't schedule someone to fix our couch until we order a replacement cushion sent to our home). Now that the cushion finally arrived, we have called and scheduled someone to fix our couch for *Feb 7*. What I've learned so far about Ashley: * When calling, you will be asked to leave a message on their voice mail. Don't. They will NOT return your call (even when they say they will) * If you talk to someone, ask for their name - otherwise they may not do anything they say they will do. Twice this happened to us. * If they give you a faulty product, you have to do most of the work. (Make the call, order the parts, call back) In my opinion, we - the customer - should not have had to order the replacement cushion sleeve. This should be the technician's job. * Hoping that someone knowledgeable actually shows up on February 7. * My first time buying from Ashley will be my last time. We were served by Janeryeis,who was beyond pleasant and helpful. I would suggest staying away from this vendor. My brother bought a bed a couple of months ago and issues still haven't been resolved. Delivery contract was set up for bed to be delivered and old one taken away (It's in writing). Delivery people wanted an extra $60.00 to take the bed. Wrong frame was delivered - broken parts etc. Called manager - was told they'd take care of it. The next people that came said it was the right frame and brought a new platform. Platform doesn't work - does not lift mattress up and down. It's at the point where he's just getting blown off by customer service. it took over a month for us to receive our furniture once we ordered and paid for our furniture. we first received our couch and then it was another month or more before we received our love seat. both of these were ordered and paid for at the same time. additionally, we found out that it's poor quality. We paid to have the warranty. we have had to utilize it twice now. we are so unpleased with Ashley and their warranty process. One of our reclining chairs on the loveseat is broke, for a second time! We started the process for a warranty repair over two months ago now and are still waiting on this company to replace or fix the backing. I'm pretty sure if they fixed it right the first time we wouldn't have had needed a second repair. The reoccurring broken piece is made of plywood (a weak wood). maybe if they used better wood it wouldn't have broken again. They tried scamming us after refusing a kitchen table set that had defects from wrong inserts being installed by the factory, to a 2 ft crack going down the middle of the main leg. After the second table came damaged we refused the purchase and asked for a refund. We then had to wait several days to hear back from their accounting department, and they finally told us that not only would the table not be fully refundable (due to a restocking fee), but that the chairs and the 4 year accident coverage we purchased also weren't refundable...mind you this over a thousand dollars we are out now! I stopped in for the Black Friday sale and ended up purchasing a sofa and a new kitchen table and chairs. The prices were incredible. I found out that delivery won't happen until close to Christmas. It seems like a long time considering the warehouse isn't terribly far away (Stevens Point). But I didn't mind waiting, it gave me time to paint my living room. The sofa was delivered, it was a sectional and one of the pieces was broken. I was disappointed that the delivery people didn't notice and left it with me. It wasn't hard to see. I immediately called the customer service line and it took a very long time to get through to a human. But once I got through, they immediately set up a replacement piece. In the meantime, I decided I did not like the sofa. I stopped in to see my sales rep and he didn't bat an eye. He told me to pick something else out. Since my sofa was broken, it didn't cost me another delivery charge to replace/exchange the sofa. The customer service here is five-star. What an incredible response. The table and chairs are decent for the price. It is of average quality which is what I paid for. I am happy with the set. The warranty for the furniture is great. If anything goes wrong a phone call will get things corrected. Even if it takes an hour to get through, it's worth the effort. The new sofa is decent, the delivery people were friendly and helpful. They were very aware of their surroundings and were mindful of being careful in my home. Overall, it was a good experience. Remember, you get what you pay for. read more

As I was searching online for affordable furniture, I came across Ashley's and started to look at the products and price points. Then I got excited, and waited in the local Ashley's parking lot for the store to open. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted by a wonderful salesperson who patiently helped me establish a credit line and select a bedroom set and sofa. The items were shipped earlier than promised, and the delivery crews were polite and cleaned up everything after set up. I am so happy with my purchases! Amazing experience at Ashley yesterday!!! We were greeted at the door and directed to the area we were looking for. Danny helped my sister and I was was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He checked in on us often to see if we had questions but didn't hover at all. We were looking for living room and basement furniture and had a clear idea of what we wanted. Danny helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We weren't so sure about what we wanted in a TV stand and Danny showed us what was in the showroom and online. In the end, we went with Danny's top pick. Many of the other tables we were looking at were higher priced but he encouraged to go with what he thought matched our other furniture best. Spectacular Service. This store definitely prides in caring for their customers. I've been to many stores and so far this has been the best customer service experience yet. I was in Wisconsin for a 5K and while driving back decided to stop by Ashley furniture. I looked up when the ones in Chicago open and since they didn't open at 12:00pm, I decided to stop by Ashleys on the way to my house. This happened to be this particular store. I walked in with a picture of the bed I received 2 days ago and asked if they have a matching dresser. I also mentioned that I am from Chicago and want to make sure they deliver to me. Amanda, the room consultant, was great. She welcomed me and started looking for a set for me. Unfortunately, it wasn't as easy as we hoped. First of all, no one knew what this bed was that I purchased. Amanda called over her supervisor Liz to take a look. She also asked Jessi if he can help us find it. After a few minutes Liz located it on the computer. The set I was looking for happened to be discontinued. Amanda went out of her way to find me a matching dresser and nightstand that was displayed on the floor. I am pretty happy with what I selected and I think it will match perfectly. Beware. Beware. Beware I placed my order for a bedroom set, a couch, and a sofa in May. They provided me with a delivery date, that date was later changed. They brought the bedroom set with items broken and the couch and sofa were both dirty and had stain on them on June 9th. They offered me the choice to request a refund or to ask for the defective and stained items to be replaced. They could not replace them until July 2nd. I called them 6 days ahead of July 2nd to request the items to be delivered after 4pm since I will be at work during the day, but they couldn't accommodate it. I went to store on Sunday 06/30 to try again and requested the item to be delivered after 4pm on the 2nd or cancel the order. They promised to call me to let me know if it will be possible or not.I am still waiting for that call. I went to the store on 07/01 and actually spoke to the manager, she promised she would see if they could deliver the items on any other day this week after 4 pm and give me a call within 24H. It's July 2nd, 30 hours have passed, I am still waiting for the call. This morning I called and I was told that they are still working on it. This afternoon I called again and they told me they definitively can not deliver today after 4 pm but they are working on finding another day. It's been more than a month that I moved to my new home and I have not been able to sleep on the bed or sit on couch and sofa for that matter due to the delay in their process and their delivery issues. Worse, now that I am asking for a refund if they can't deliver after 4 pm, they want to charge me a 15% restocking fee + delivery fees which is insane. Why is it a problem to schedule a delivery after hours when people actually have to work during business hours in orders pay for furniture you sell? Why not inform customers that delivery hours are only set for certain hours and they don't change and that you will not accommodate any time request? The restocking fee is in play because they can't deliver on their obligations. Though, I am still willing to receive the items but they can't tell if they can and when they can deliver them and I can't wait while hoping that "someday" they will delivery them at a time that is convenient for me. Secondly, I was already charged for the delivery fees for the items I paid for and I think it is dishonest to charge me for a delivery/pick up fees on items left at my house because the other items where broken and stained in the first place. I will request a full refund of the money that I paid. Also, I will use all them means possible to recover any additional fees they will dare to charge me. Lastly but not least I will keep posting these messages across all social media and spread the word to prevent prospective customer from falling in their trap I will educate people ahead of the time so they are fully aware of the business they will be dealing with. All the sales people are ready to lie to you head to toe and what's covered underneath the warranty and also say that there's not a one 800 number you have to deal with reality that is all lies. On top of trying to get everything fixed three months in after purchasing $4000 furniture and all the leather is coming apart all they would say is there gonna order the parts but it will take an additional months to get the parts in then you're supposed to notify them when you get the parts then schedule someone but unfortunately they are backed up two months repairing peoples furniture that they sell people. The managers at the store are joke and will tell you anything to get you off the phone and promise you call back. The care department those poor people they answer the phone then transfer you to the management line that never picks up the phone in the last six months even when you leave voicemails every single day for two weeks straight. Oh also no point in complaining they don't care no point in leaving these reviews they don't know or review them... this is in desperate hopes to save the next customer from the store. read more

I've ordered furniture in the past from Ashley's and received what I paid for. Average furniture for an average price. This time we decided to spend more to get higher quality items. The following is a time line of our disaster: 1) Living room set ordered 5/27/20, with delivery set for 6/29/20 2) Two weeks later received call stating only love seat could be delivered and sofa was on backorder until 7/27/20 3) I tracked the truck the day of love seat Delivery which had an estimated time of around 4pm. At 7pm, I was no longer able to track delivery and item had yet to arrive. I called the corporate office store as the retail store already closed and was told that the truck broke down and I would have to wait until 7/5/20. At this time they offered a delivery upgrade to include setup. 4) Received call on 7/4 stating new delivery date was now 7/10 as my loveseat was accidentally shipped back to the distribution center 90 minutes away. No explanation given as to why my item wasn't on the next days delivery list. At this time I politely asked for the 5yr warranty to be included due to the inconvenience and was told I could either receive a $50 in-store credit or $25 off my complete order. I instead canceled the entire order and decided to shop elsewhere. 5) Received a call on 7/5 from the original salesperson stating my furniture set was now set to be delivered on 8/10. This AFTER I ALREADY CANCELLED THE DAY PRIOR. She informed me that there were no notes of the cancellation. She stated she would cancel the order and email me a cancellation receipt. It has now been 6 hours and I have to receive this. I instead shopped at Colders, got nearly the same set for the same price and was able to get the loveseat SAME DAY and the sofa within the next two weeks. I recently moved and left a lot of my old/worn furniture behind. I went to a few other stores. They were nice but it wasn't really 100% what I wanted for the price I was paying. I know furniture is expensive so I wanted to love the set I was getting. Woah. The salesman (Al) spent about 2 hours with me making sure I was getting what I wanted and what I needed. He was polite and personable and patient. I kept changing my mind, because I wanted everything. Literally two hours of excellent service. Given I got an entire house full of furniture. We were to have our furniture delivered March 2nd, 2018 couch, chair and 2 end tables. Took off of work unpaid on 3/2 waiting for delivery. No one showed, when I called, they had taken me off the schedule and put us on for March 16th. We specifically told themspecifically at the store that we couldn't do that date as we were out of town. The note in file said we called and cancelled and reschedule the 16th. Obviously, wrong file. I was told they would call back that day to reschedule. I had to call back, the manager on duty said they would set an emergency delivery for Sunday and call us the next day....no call again. When I called I was told Sunday request was denied, they will deliver Monday, the 5th between 5 and 8 pm....at 8:40 they called and cancelled as it was getting too late and they would call back to reschedule AGAIN! So they set us up for March 13th. Took off of work again. They delivered the couch and a ripped chair and NO end tables....OMG --ARE YOU KIDDING ME! They called us that day to tell us they would make arrangements to switch out the chair and deliver the end tables and that they would call us.....finally almost 1 week and 1/2 go by and we get a call. They will deliver today on April 6th, switch out the chair and deliver the end tables. My husband just called, the chair delivered---Can you guess??....Just Guess-----NO END TABLES!!!!! i am so fed up with this place. 6 weeks, 4 pieces of furniture, multiple delivery dates and I still do not have my furniture. In the past I had bought from them twice and process had gone smooth, this time around it has just been a headache, I understand waiting times because of COVID but when they finally get my order ready to be delivered, some items will be missing as some other sales person sold my chairs to someone else, so now I'm back to waiting. Some items have been delivered and are gently used and damaged. Store tells you you need to reach out to customer care and send pics of damaged items to see "if" they can be replaced. The sales support team was helpful and we felt like we were getting a good deal on our furniture. Purchased a large sectional, 8 piece bedroom set and dining room table. The sectional is great, I have no issues with that. But there are several issues with the bed. First of all, the surface scratches so easily and the installers broke the lower slat on the headboard. I put in a request for a new headboard and the CSR I spoke with offered me a $150 gift card in place of a new one. We spent $4500 on furniture and waited 2.5 months to get it, how does a $150 gift card justify brand new broken furniture? I declined and they sent a new headboard. The footboard was also scratched during the install. They said they would send someone to refinish it, then a few months later I get a call that they sent a new footboard but the delivery date was never discussed with me and they had it going to my old address. I called the customer support line and couldn't get through to anyone, so I left a message and nobody called me back. The chest dresser has several bumps on the top where you can see the screws holding the drawer tracks are protruding through the top. All of the fixtures on the drawers were loose too. The table, which cost $700 was installed and one of the bolts for the legs is missing. The table is wobbly and I asked the installer if they would send another bolt. At first he said yes he'd put that in the notes, and when I brought it up again he said I could just go to Home Depot to get another bolt... I know he doesn't work for Ashley but what kind of customer service suggests the consumer go to the store to purchase missing hardware? This is our second time purchasing from Ashley and most likely our last. When spending 1000's of dollars on furniture I expect it to look brand new. Yesterday was the first and last time we will go to an Ashley Furniture Store. My husband and I stopped in to look for a new kitchen table and living room set and after the complete lack of service we received its more than clear we wont be giving you our business. 30 minutes we spent in the store, no one greeted or spoke one word to us. 3 sales staff walked right past us acting like we weren't there. We basically felt like we were seen as a couple of kids messing around on the furniture while waiting for our parents. We did see plenty of middle age white couples recieving plenty of help though. "Are you folks finding everything ok?" "We can get that ordered for you!" . What a joke. read more
