Horrible customer service. We ordered couches and a king size mattress. One couch had a RIP and the mattress was defective. it took over a month to get a new couch and the mattress they brought had the same defect. All this after 4 phone calls and 3 trips to the store. Each time they claimed that they knew nothing about the problems. Another one of the couches is not working properly now. The sales person China was friendly while we were buying the couches and looking at their most expensive mattresses then changed her tune quickly when we decided to look at a less expensive mattress. The managers that I dealt with over this process were not helpful at all and China became VERY RUDE. She would speak over me and look at me with condescending looks. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS AN EXTREME MAKEOVER. At this point I just want my money back and they can take their crap furniture and mattress back but they say they cant do anything more. SHAME ON YOU ASHLEY! SHAME ON YOU CHINA! Donna R. was friendly /polite and gave me a decent deal on a $900 Kitchen table. Then it all started. They delivered the kitchen table and chairs at 0900 (I work nights) even though it was scheduled for after 3 pm. Everything was brought inside and the driver said "Oh S@#t not again" He said the warehouse forgot to add the hardware. I asked what the policy was for this and he said both his crew and the Mgr. were supposed to sign off on the entire delivery and it apparently was not done. So they reschedule for two days later, then the fun starts. The technician arrives at 1000 am (I work nights) even though he was told after 3 pm walks in sets his bag down and starts looking around. I am half asleep and said whats wrong and he stated "damn bro they gave me the wrong hardware". I tell him to take it all back with him and he said he don't know if he could do that at which time I tell him I will put it on your truck myself. So they leave with my $900 purchase and I call the store Mgr. (Rashaad) who could care less and blames it all on the warehouse people. I spoke with Connor, Quincy and another Mgr at the warehouse and they blame the store. Finally they give a half fanny apology and say the table and chairs will be delivered two days later and they will waive the delivery fee. Two days later they deliver the table and when I ask the Phi Beta Kappas where my chairs are located they say we were told to bring you a table. No I lose my "you know what" and try to call corporate in Wisconsin but they do not take phone calls only emails, so now 4 days later and two emails in I have received no contact from anyone who cares at corporate. Finally they deliver the 4 chairs today and discount the items I purchased. Never ever use this location because their customer service stinks. All Rashaad had to do was give me a courtesy call and take the blame or blame someone else but at least solve the problem. He did not do this and pawned it off on a regular worker (No disrespect) named Sandra who was very helpful /polite & caring. *** FYI their fleet of delivery vehicles per their message while on hold are whatever left over Ryder / Uhaul or other broken down trucks they find. Not one truck was clean nor did it even mention Ashley Home Furniture. So you might get a good deal in the store but wait ... the fun starts afterward. **Caveat Emptor ** read more

The store has no issue taking your money; however, the sales representative listening seems to be a major issue. The representative seemed to me more interested in a commission rather that helping a patron. As our representative was assisting my family he and another representative were discussing swapping a split sale. This I found extremely unprofessional; however, that's not my largest negative when it comes to the shopping experience. Recently, my family and I purchased a new bedroom set for our guest room. As it was for a guest room with limited usage there was not an huge need for high-end furniture, but we did not purchase the bottom of the barrel either. All said and done our total was a little over $1300 for a mattress, box spring, footboard, rails, and headboard. Upon check out I noticed several items on our receipt were incorrect and advised the sales representative of the inaccuracy as I knew it could potentially cause an issue. Initially when I noticed these inaccuracies I did not over think the details because next day delivery was specified, by the representative prior to purchase, and my address was correct on the paperwork. After running my debt card next day delivery was not available. Although this was frustrating it was not a huge deal as the furniture was for a guest room. Now a week later I have guest and the delivery did not come on the scheduled date as Ashley could not confirm the delivery date due to my information being incorrect in the system, apparently the representative never updated my information after we left the store. I gave the representative the correct spelling of my name, a total of 8 letters (first and last), which was sadly on my drivers license and debt card. I gave the representative the correct phone number verbally 3 separate times to be corrected. Now my guest as sleeping in a hotel that I am paying for so they don't have to sleep on the floor. I called on the day of expected delivery to see why I had not received a call to set up the delivery and was informed that I was out of luck. I expressed everything mentioned above in hopes Ashley Furniture would assist in some manner, but they were far from helpful and neglected to even apologize. When they called to reschedule delivery for the following week they called at 8:20 am on Saturday morning with an automated system and gave me a number to call them to confirm. I would definitely think twice before shopping at Ashley Furniture in the future and would encourage future patrons to really check your paperwork and ask to see any changes in the system before leaving the store! read more

I currently purchased a home and I was trying to find the perfect couch. I looked everywhere. Eight places to be exact. I did not think Ashley Furniture, because I was always scared it was expensive. Yesterday, I went into a Rooms To Go and was treated awful. I was yelled at and spoken down to and I left. My husband was so mad he went home and ended our now 5 day search. I decided to go to Ashley Furniture in McDonough, GA. It was right down the road from my house. I walked in exhausted and as soon as I opened the door I was in shock of all its beauty. I then was greeted by Tina a sales rep. She made me go from exhausted to my usual excited self. I told her about my day and she started asking what I wanted, price range and what my style was. She showed me the couch she bought . It honestly was like having a girl friend with me. I saw some things I liked and she said well let me see what deals I can get you and I will find you. She told me to look around and she will be back. It was nice for the sales rep to leave me alone let me browse and see what I liked even though I really liked her I was still exhausted so it was nice not to talk and just look and figure out what I wanted. A good 20 minutes went by and she walks up on a furniture set I was trying out and she told me about the deals, but she said honestly look at what we have and I will try my hardest until the machine shuts me out to get it in your price range. She then asked what I liked and I told her this one. She went to the computer I followed her and it was in my price range. I bought the lovely couch. It then started storming so after I slid my card she even continued to walk around the store with me. Telling me about the interior designer and how they decorate and all the cute stuff they had and everything she wanted. I could of taken the whole store home with me because of this sales rep. She was wonderful I came home excited and told my husband and because of this sales rep we will be back and we will be making more purchases this weekend. I wanted to let you know that Tina was amazing. I do not know her last name, but I know she is from Mississippi and she just bought a new house as well. My boyfriend and I were looking for a couch for our new apartment. We live in Newnan, and visited the Newnan store first with the recommendation to visit this location due to its size and larger quantity of items. We took the advice and visited the McDonough location yesterday. We were greeted by a salesperson who seemed too nervous to be working in sales. We circled the store and we approached by the saleswoman many times. This was fine. We decided on a couch that we had seen in the Newnan store. She came over to us again, and let us know that her manager was watching her and that is why she kept checking on us. We let her know we wanted the sofa and the love seat. Atlanta area Ashley furniture stores are having a manager price special on most items. The manager price for the sofa was $348 and the price of the love seat was $298. The original prices are double that. She kept pushing us to do the 5 piece set which included the sofa, love seat, coffee table and end tables. We told her we didnt want to do that as we already have tables. She said this was the better deal and we could just sell them on eBay if we didn't want them. She finally crunched the numbers on the two items and said the delivery was $120. So with the two items, tax and delivery, she came up with a little over $900. I asked where that number came from. She said that we were being charged full price for the items since we weren't doing the whole set. None of these numbers matched up - if we were being charged full price, it would be over $1200. We decided to think about it and leave, we were stopped by the manager who tried to persuade us rather condescendingly to purchase his items and not someone else's. We decided to take our business back to the Newnan location, where they were kind, HONEST, and not pushy. The delivery charge was HALF of what she was saying and we ended up spending significantly less than the umber she gave us in McDonough. We will not be back to this location ever again. Horrible horrible experience. Upon the delivery of my furniture I noticed we were missing the chest of drawers. Delivery guy told me it wasnt on the order form and I would have to go to the store to find out where it was. I did and come to find out the sales guy made a "human error" and told us that the $1700.00 set included the chest when it actually didnt. Not my fault but instead of the store backing what their associate told my wife and I, we had to pay for the chest "if we wanted it." I went to read the list of items that the manager said clearly stated was apart of the 14pc collection...there were only 9 items listed. So, that again wasnt my fault. I will never buy anything from them again. Im actually still debating returning EVERYTHING and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Would have given more stars but the customer service and parts department of Ashley is terrible. The store was great and we had wonderful sales people helping us. We bought a dining table and six chairs and also a kitchen island. The delivery was timely and the men delivering were very nice. The problem arises when they were putting the hardware on the island, two of the door handles were missing. They called the service/parts department and I was told that they were ordered on that day and would be sent directly to us in 3-5 days max. That time came and went and no knobs. Called and got a run around and was told someone would call me back by end of day. No call. Called again and explained the problem and didn't understand what was so hard about getting two knobs. Someone did finally call me back and I was told the knobs would be delivered the week if Feb. 12th. Unacceptable!!! The person told me she had no idea why it would take that long, that's just how it is. We were going to buy a living room set and also bedroom, but since this is how they take care of their customers, will not be doing that. Will also let everyone else know about their customer service so they don't have to deal with the same service we got. I'm sure Ashley doesn't care about this review, but I wanted others to be aware. We our now the proud owners of a kitchen island with two doors that can't be opened. So not happy. read more

This location is a poor example of an Ashley Homestore. I was looking for twin bunkbeds and found them online at Ashleyfurniture.com and found the ones I wanted and proceeded to go to my local Mcdonough store where they were in stock. Shipping during this time of year is to long so I had to go to the store. First, I was not greeted when I walked. This is a red flag for me but my kids needed beds. The price online was 249.98 while the price in store was much higher. The associate looked in the store computer and found the bed for 309. Still not 249.98 but ok maybe this is a process(as I soon found out). So I proceed to show the associate the bed on the Ashleyfurniture.com website and the associate says,"That is not a valid site". What the fuck! This is your store site. How is it your store database and your online database are two different prices. Well can the price online be honored? After a lengthy discussion/debate with the manager I was given the online price. I proceed to ask if there is a Military discount and I am told that because the price online was matched then I couldn't get a discount. Stupidest thing I have ever heard. If Footlocker price matches some shoes for me, they also give me the military discount but they also have better customer service. To wrap-up, the customer service was terrible/horrible, I had to debate on their policy to get the price match and I will never return. I implore all Vets not to go here and to visit a different location. read more

The furniture here is nice but the salesperson that "helped" us was so annoying she wouldn't leave us alone for more than a minute. She tried to push the most expensive items on us and when another sales rep came by to answer some questions, she quickly flew in to take to the sale. Very annoyed that she ordered the wrong item (we found out at delivery) and that she charged us for a protection plan we did not authorize. The salesman, Patrick is good, but he attempts to service 2-3 customers at once and in turn causes unnecessary wait time while there are other salesmans asking if assistance is needed. Patrick needs to focus on one customer at a time. If good customer service is provided, the customer is most likely to return. Otherwise, it's a waste of team work not to allow other salesperson to assist and ensure the overall customer experience is satisfactory. read more

This store needs a whole new sales/management team. I ordered a living room set in August and have yet to receive an undamaged set. I have spoke to the sales manager (pos) and the store manager (POS) and neither are helpful. The sales person CJ was clueless when she was assisting me in the beginning and when I came back with issues, she sat like she wanted nothing to do with the situation. The first delivery guys were unprofessional. One guy stayed on his cell phone the whole time and was the cause of the sofa being dropped. The set was scheduled to be replaced due to the damage and the second delivery guys didn't even tell me they didn't swap the loveseat. He only mentioned it when I told him the loveseat looked the same. He says he only swapped the pillows out. The store set up a technician to come out, which I didn't want but, they neglected to cancel, even after they placed a 3rd order for replacement. Rasheed White and the ride sales manager with Locs, need to be fired. The girl on the phone even told me I should come in because she knew he'd never call me back nor resolve the issue and she was right. I am seeking legal counsel because even the corporate office pushes you back on the incompetent store management and I just want this crap damaged furniture out of my house and my money back. read more

If you are needing some remarkable customer service with your furniture search, ELLE, is the salesperson to go to! This was my first time buying a bed set and mattress, and it was a little overwhelming. I don't like being pressured or sold something just for someone to make a commission. When I met Elle, she was the exact opposite of that. She was nothing but the best. She was knowledgeable, friendly, laid back, but confident. I felt like she genuinely wanted to help me get what I wanted. She gave me great guidance and support. This was an ongoing process for me, and she continuously checked on me the whole time. If something wasn't right, she made it better. She addressed all my questions and concerns (and I had MANY, as I am extremely thorough when making a big purchase). I actually felt like she was sincerely my friend, as opposed to a salesperson. I also appreciated her patience with the process of decision making I went through. The bed set furniture I bought is fabulous. I had a few issues with the quality of my mattress, but Elle and the management were extremely accommodating to get everything squared away. In the end, I got a great furniture set and mattress, and I was given peace of mind knowing the Ashley's staff, especially ELLE, was there to help me along the way. She even checked on me several weeks after delivery. The products that I purchased at Ashley's were good (but I also do my research to know what I'm buying), but the service was what made my experience the best. I highly recommend asking for Elle, as she will genuinely help you through the process. If I need any future furniture, I will 100% be going back to see Elle at Ashley's. Ashley's is lucky to have such an amazing salesperson. She is the reason I am a happy customer. read more

Recently I was in the market for a new sofa and love seat. I received an ad and found exactly what I was looking for. I went straight to the store only to discover that the sale ad did not start until the following Tuesday. I was so disappointed, but to my surprise the store manager Sabrina had her assistant, Chris Hector, to come over to talk to me. Before long I knew that they were going to take care of me. Yes - I got the sales price ahead of the sale. However, when the sofa arrived my husband was not as excited about it as I was- he had a stroke a few years ago and the new reclining sofa was just not comfortable for him. Not knowing what to do I called Chris. Luckily it was within the grace period and this time we both picked out a sofa and love seat. Chris graciously made the swap happen and it was very seamless - my experience was awesome. I was very happy and lucky to have met Chris. He certainly made my experience with Ashley Furniture a great one. I already liked their furniture now I love it. read more

The sales people are dishonest and their lack of return policy is terrible. We looked at some bar stools. The salesman said they were made in America. We decided to save delivery cost, he did not tell us that meant we had to assemble them. The bar stools were made poorly in China. The fabric is fastened poorly and they are not level. We called the store and they said the salesman was not there. We asked to speak to someone else they gave us the number for customer service. Customer service told us they would have the salesman call us when I pushed back a little they said the only one who can do anything is the salesman. THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! read more

We ordered a bedroom suite totaling $5000. Upon delivery all the posts on the bed were damaged, the media center had a nick in the finish and one of the drawers on the night stand had places that had no stain. We immediately called our sales rep who said to go ahead and accept the furniture but to make notes of all damages on the receiving slip and customer service would call me the following business day. After 2 days, I called customer service because they never called me. They sent out a tech to look at the furniture who said the bed was defective but he could repair the dresser and media center. I advised him that I did not pay for damaged furniture that was repaired, I paid for brand new furniture and repair was not an option I would accept. He made note and I was again told that customer service would call me within 24 hours. That of course did not happen, so 2 days later I called my local store manager who apologized and said he would reorder all the damaged pieces for me and would call me the next day to set up a delivery date to pick up the damaged goods and deliver the new..... you guessed it! It has now been 4 days and still NO CALL! Hind site, we googled Ashely furniture complaints and its not a pretty picture! Buyer beware and do your research! read more

Absolute "Worst" furniture store...Period. Sales associate was good, however after picking up the furniture and bringing it home I found a drawer cracked (small kitchen island). I contacted my sales associate and explained the issue, she explained that she would talk to her manager and contact me the next morning. Since we never heard back we took the furniture back up to the furniture store and met our sales associate and she then brought the store manager to speak with us. He said that we needed to take it back to the warehouse (30 min drive of course), and the warehouse would either return it or give us our money back. (Just wait it gets better), so my wife and I drive all the way back to the warehouse and the lady behind the counter said we don't give refunds, unless it's authorized by the store manager (and they should have given you a refund), I said the store manager told us to come back to here to the warehouse in order to get our refund. So the lady behind the counter calls the store manager McDonough, GA and she comes back and explains that he did not authorize the return. So we call the store and speak to our sales associate, and she said that he had authorized the return. Come to find out that the lady behind the counter at the warehouse had spoken to the store office manager, not the store manager. So my wife calls back again and she gets transferred to the store office manager and the office manager explained that Ashley furniture does not give refunds and that the store manager gave you incorrect information. By this time I was extremely furious over the whole thing. I just cannot believe that a store manager tells us one thing and then the store office manager tells us another (Who's really running the store!?). I will never ever buy anything again from Ashley furniture. The furniture store manager/personnel does not even know there on policy and procedures. Worst experience ever! read more
