I bought a desk here which was $638.11and I loved it for my husband. The sales lady told me it would be built in my home. That wasn't the case at all, it was just brought in. This is not a brand new item, this must have been either returned or the sales model. All furniture stores deliver with the item inside the box and is unpacked inside in front of you. Purchased sectional durapella from Ashley in Mooresville on 3/23/2026 pid 3000 dollars white glove delivery fast forward 3/27/2026 delivery date . Delivery men did not speak english so there was a language issue. out of the 5 pcs. only 1 was wrapped out of a dirty truck. 2 pcs. were not finished from the manufacturer 1 of which the wedge was damaged . My wife called customer service immediately after they left to put a complaint , she told them about the damages and the language barrier so at that point they could have dispatched that truck right back to have all pcs. picked up that would have ended well but now after a month we are still waiting to have all pcs. removed from our home and get a refund as we did not purchase used or damaged furniture . I purchased a dining room table, 4 chairs, and a bench from the Ashley store in Mooresville on 7/26/25 with a delivery date set for 8/19/25. Leading up to delivery, I received multiple text confirmations, and the delivery team arrived on time. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The crew began unpacking and assembling the table ("white glove" delivery), but quickly discovered they didn't have the hardware to put it together. Neither delivery person spoke English, so they had to call a translator, who then had to call customer service. After about 15 minutes of back-and-forth, I finally got on the line with a representative who told me I'd need to wait 7-10 more days for the missing parts to arrive and suggested I just accept the order as-is. When I asked about compensation for the inconvenience--especially since I had already gotten rid of my old table--she said she couldn't answer that. At that point, I refused the order and requested a refund. The delivery team packed everything back up and left, then called the Mooresville store. I later spoke with the manager, who apologized and promised I'd receive a refund once the furniture was returned to the warehouse. To make matters worse, when I first purchased the set, the salesperson was extremely pushy about selling me a 5-year coverage plan. Out of curiosity, I checked online afterward and found the exact same set for $500 less than what I was charged in-store. As of today (8/20/25), I still have not received any confirmation about my refund. Between the poor communication, lack of accountability, missing parts, higher pricing, and the overall hassle, this has been an incredibly disappointing experience. This was my first (and last) time shopping at an Ashley store. I cannot recommend the Mooresville location--or Ashley in general--based on this experience. read more

We moved into our new home on July 14 and on July 16, my wife drove from Denver NC to Mooresville to order a new Leather Couch and Chair for the living room. Went ahead and ordered it and was told at the time, it would be probably be about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. When she checked back about three weeks later to get a more solid date, she was told that due to Covid, delivery was anticipated for December 6. I assume they were talking about 2020 but the way things are going, need to clarify that and make sure we are not talking 2021, 2022 or whatever. We still keep checking in and keep being told that if anything changes, they will let us know. Last conversation was there was a possibility in October of November of it being shipped to the warehouse but don't count on it and keep the December 6, 2020 as the most probably date. My theory is that they are having to raise the cow for the leather or a least that is what it feels like. Meanwhile they keep running advertisements for goods they can not deliver. Not thrilled. Meanwhile we have already paid for the furniture with little recourse. read more

Do not purchase from this store. Recently ordered a Tempur-Pedic mattress which unfortunately was not working out for my wife and I. Called to return the mattress as Tempur-Pedic has their 90 day sleep guarantee. This store said they do not honor Tempur-Pedic's guarantee and do not accept returns from any products delivered to the home. Called Tempur-Pedic and said there is nothing they can do to control individual store policy. No accommodations were made to make this purchase right. If you read the terms and policy online you find that you cannot return any mattress unless there is a defect or arrived damaged. If you don't like the mattress after sleeping on it once or multiple times too bad. I was led to believe in store to ensure to have a mattress protector on the mattress because returns were not possible if any damage occurred within the return policy but clearly this was a lie read more

If I could give this store a 0 rating I would. Do yourself a favor and stay away at all costs. The store word means absolutely nothing. We were supposed to get our mattresses on a certain date and of course we never got them. Funny part is they never ever told us they are delayed. A dresser came and the handle broke within one week. This is the best part we have been calling every month and the "handle" is still en route. I asked to escalate the request or get a new dresser and here is another kicker customer service "escalated" the request as it has been 9 months since we have been waiting for and the "upper manager" can't do anything to assist not a reimbursement, not a handle and I couldn't even get a name. I swear finding something on the streets I think would be be better material than Ashleigh's. I have warned all my friends to stay away. read more

The delivery window was 12:30 - 4:30, then during the 1st window it adjusted to 3:30 - 6:30...the truck finally arrived at 8pm. The driver was polite & respectful, the helper didn't even exit the truck until after I helped the driver unload, unbox & carry everything out onto my deck. After which the helper got out of the truck to ask if he could use my bathroom. My son had to dig through the packaging to find the hardware after they informed us "it was never shipped with the furniture". I then had to put everything together myself (it took 2 hours to put the chair & sofa together). After everything, I realize that one of the plastic feet are broken & the clips to hold the sectional together are missing. I'd appreciate a full refund of the $160 I paid for delivery & for the damaged/missing parts to be shipped to me as quickly as possible. read more

They have really bad delivery service and bad customer service. After buying 4 pieces of furniture from them and being rescheduled 4 times at 3 hour windows where I waited for the delivery that didn't show or 12 hours of MY time I will no longer buy furniture from them. They text you 2 days before delivery to tell (not ask) you when they are coming and they tell you that if YOU reschedule or are not there when they come you will be charged $79 but when they arrive late or not at all they don't remove $79 from your invoice. I do not recommend buying furniture from them directly. If you see something you like, but it from another furniture store, one with better customer service. read more

Buyer Beware Below is their "response" to our BBB report. We were completely misled when purchasing furniture from Ashley HomeStore in Mooresville (704) 664-7440. We asked and were misled or lied to about the product/leather quality. We found a leather couch and a leather loveseat that seemed perfect for our living room. We were really excited about the set. We asked a lot of questions about the couch and loveseat. We specifically asked if it was bonded leather or real leather. Our sales guy, Ryan, told us that it was real leather, not like the bonded leather furniture they sell. He seemed on the up-and-up, telling us he would not recommend that other material to his customers. He and the floor manager showed us the leather grade and assured us that it was real leather. We admittedly don't know a lot about leather, but we trusted these people. They seemed honest. They told us point-blank that we would not have any issues with this furniture peeling. They also sold us the extended warranty. I don't usually buy those, but they replace any damaged sections. We got the furniture, and we were really happy with it for 10 days. Then, the leather started peeling off! It's been 10 days, so we called customer service about returning it. They told us, once we accepted the furniture on delivery day, we cannot return or exchange the furniture. We told them we wanted to get those sections repaired because of our extended warranty. Customer service also told us that the extended warranty doesn't cover peeling, only accidental damage from a human. We called the warraty (Diamond Care) and they said that they can replace it, but that would cancel out the manufacturer's 1-year warranty; Diamond Care (extended warranty) isn't in effect until 1year from purchase. But the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge our calls or provide any assistance. We were completely taken advantage of by Ashley HomeStore and they doesn't stand behind their products. They are knowingly selling inferior products. Their customer service, policies that don't help the customer, inferior products that they won't stand behind. This was supposed to be an investment that would last 10 years, not 10 days. They stole our hard-earned money from our family. We contacted them by phone on 8 times. I have texted our sales rep. We have contacted them by email (with records) on Nov 4, Nov 16, Nov 27 with the photos and serial numbers they requested by phone. They have yet to respond to us or offer any assistance. read more

Ordering our furniture was fine. That's the only reason this company gets a star.The major problem was that I had to reschedule delivery because of them over 6 TIMES! This has moved back our move in date by over 6 weeks. It's ridiculous. Half of our furniture is still unassembled and laying in our garage. Today, they were supposed to come between 3-6 pm and it's already past 10 pm. We will likely never come back to Ashley furniture after this finally gets assembled, but who knows when that will be. UPDATE: Around 11:12 p.m I got an automated voicemail saying they'd be here in thirty minutes to discuss my delivery call. I will be GLAD to see them arrive at my home at almost midnight to talk. (Note my sarcasm.) I have work in the morning so having that voicemail wake me up has ticked me off more. Next day update: They said all they could do was reschedule be for next week! Seriously?! Buyers beware!!! My husband and I recently moved to the area after my husband retired from the army. We decided to go through Ashley furniture for all of our major home furnishing needs, as we had done years prior without issue(a store closer to Fort Bragg). It took several months to get our shipment, this was attributed to COVID. After 2 months our bedframe was delivered and assembled. This morning, just two months later I sat on the edge of the bed to wake my husband and it split in half. Im not going to divulge our weight but I can assure you that we are of average built. In speaking with customer service they informed me I could not get a refund because the bedframe has been in our home and I signed to this upon delivery. This is how Ashley Furniture stands behind their products. They've offered to replace the broken piece....forget that the entire bed is now likely compromised due to the single break and we're sure to run into more issues stemming from this along the way...surely this will occur after the allotted period to replace. We've spend over $7000 dollars w/ Ashley's only to be told that they will not refund us over a $500 bed that didn't even hold up 3 months. Luckily we're in a part of the country that specializes in furniture and our options many. Even better you won't have to wait several months and overpay to get a less than mediocre product. The product we purchased, a youth bed, DID NOT LAST. I think we would have been better off at Ikea. We also had problems with the warrantee. We had to fight with the people on the other end of the line and then they said it will be several weeks for the parts to come and then we can arrange to have the repair person come. We are fairly certain it will not be able to be repaired. Where is our High School son supposed to sleep for 2 months or more while we wait for this? The school year has started. Was originally told the first week of January that our sectional would come Feb 4. Got phone call Feb 3 that it would be delivered Mar 23. Just stopped in to check. "We have a wonderful new system in place that texts you weekly updates". The last text I got was Feb 19 telling me about this "wonderful system". She could not look my order up on her computer had to send a message to the 'team'. She was able to tell me it won't be by Mar 23 because we weren't on the call spreadsheet she just got. Store gets a star for their ability to deliver quickly. However, we had a Keener sectional delivered September 2022. The quality was disappointing and the warranty has yet to be executed: the fabric pilled after just a month - was told because we didn't buy the $600 fabric warranty there was nothing that could be done. When someone sits on the furniture, it squeaks and creaks to the point where we don't even use it. Technician was scheduled in December 2022 - canceled two days prior. Then I was told someone would call for a new date - no call. After several calls to customer care, I was given a March date. A supervisor called me in January and said Feb. 1 had opened up and did I want that appointment? Of course! After rearranging our schedules to be available, no one showed up. Another call to customer care and there was no record of a 1 Feb appointment. I will never....ever....ever....buy anything from Ashley again, and you shouldn't either! read more

Where do I start.... First off we moved into our first home and needed medium quality furniture to furnish our empty rooms. Our family, located 600 miles away, was kind enough to give us $250 in gift cards to Ashley. It was a nice start to our furniture shopping. Wrong. Since all stores are independently franchised, gift cards purchased from one ownership group cannot be used at another. Therefore the gift cards purchased in New York could not be used in North Carolina. Fine. I'll just purchase some of my furniture over the phone from Buffalo and have it shipped, or even pick up next time I'm up there. Wrong. Turns out they can't take gift cards over the phone. That is the most ridiculous business-failure I have ever heard. Fast forward to our actual furniture purchase. We ended up spending a good amount in goods and they were willing to knock a bit off based on signing up for Ashley credit card (by the way they don't take Ashley credit cards over the phone either, only regular credit cards). Delivery was scheduled almost a month from my purchase date - no issue, everything is supposedly made-to-order. Turns out they left half my order in the shop. I ordered a king sized bed (forgot half the box spring), a dining room set (forgot 3 of the 8 chairs - yes, 3), a couch and two sitting chairs (forgot the pillows) and a dresser/night stand set. I called and complained and the woman offered me 10% off for my troubles and I was happy to wait on my half-King bed for another two weeks. Wrong My first statement came in and no 10% off. Turns out the woman I spoke to was fired. It took me almost 3 weeks to reach someone that was able to take care of me. Since they are franchised, there is no centralized customer service number, no centralized decision makers, no centralized anything. You get the runaround until you fuss enough that a district manager steps in. That's all... I will never shop at any Ashley furniture again. Spare yourself the trouble. read more

This company has tried 3 different times now to deliver a bedroom set for me. Each time multiple items were badly broken or scratched. On the 3rd attempt only the bed and a desk were intact. All the items were broken or scratched again. We are now waiting on a 4th delivery of the rest of the items. I've never seen a big furniture company with such horrible delivery service. We requested multiple times for the furniture to be checked at the warehouse and they neglected to do it. It's not fair that they lock their customers in with a restocking fee if they refuse an order because it's damaged. I'm am yet to receive a call telling me my delivery was not going to happen. I called CS 3 times yesterday. I was told by Janice my furniture would be in a truck today 9/9/3020. Lie. I called again & spoke to Cameron. I asked to speak to a supervisor & was hung up on. Called back spoke to Ungela, She tells me I have to call back on 9/9/2020 after 2 to reschedule my delivery. Buyer Beware!  Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration by shopping somewhere else!  Here's my horror story with Ashley Furniture: On July 4th, I purchased a leather sofa, love seat and entertainment console from the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Mooresville,  NC. Six weeks later, the items were delivered and all three were damaged when they arrived!  Failure #1. A few weeks later, Ashley sent a repair tech who was only able to to fix the entertainment console.   He did not have the parts or colors to fix the sofa or love seat.  Failure #2. But wait, the delivery drivers took pictures of all the damage.  Why would the tech arrive unprepared to resolve the issues?  Turns out the techs don't the pictures in advance. Ashley then shipped me a new leather seat cover and sent a second repair tech a few weeks later.  The leather cover did not match the love seat and the tech would not install it.  Failure #3. Ashley then agreed to send a new sofa and love seat as replacements.  At delivery,  guess what?  The love seat was damaged in the same place as the first one!  I refused delivery.  Failure #4.  At this point, I was done with Ashley and returned the sofa and love seat for a refund.  The first refund check was short $589 and I had to call again! Failure #5. This entire process took four months, a lot of my time and a whole lot of frustration.  I will never purchase anything from Ashley again.  The staff at the Mooresville store did try to resolve the issues and were pleasant to deal with.  However,  Ashley's  delivery service and customer service department are both terrible! read more

My wife and I ordered a couch from Ashley's twice and yesterday we had the BEST experience ! The moving crew gave their time on when they were going to be here and they showed up 5 min early. The moving crew moved to couch the top floor and put it together all in 5 min. I was very happy with their professionalism and their speedy delivery time. We have ordered 2 couches, and one love seat from this store location in the past 2 months and we have had great experiences both times. The customer service was also amazing and I can't stress how important that is in today's times. We will be purchasing another couch in the next couple of months and we will be back to Ashley's to look for it. Remember folks we all want now and the self gratification of getting it ASAP. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Spent close to 10k on pretty much garbage. Furniture took 2 weeks to get to us and that was only some of it. We had 7 defective chairs; missing screws, assembled improperly. The only piece that came from our bedroom set was the chest and the bottom drawer wouldnt open. The delivery guys flew in and out; clearly they were in a rush to leave. The coffee table we ordered wasn't delivered as promised...come to find out it was on backorder with no re-stock date. The saleswoman at the store was sweet as pie and attentive when we made our purchases but when it came time to help us with issues or canceling an order (the coffee table with no restock date) she was unhelpful to say the least. Why does she give out her business card with her work and cell number if she is unwilling to help? I called and left her messages 3 or 4 times before she actually called me back. She kept telling me she will call me with an answer, but never actually called me on the day she said she would. She didnt call me, i had to continuously follow up with her. Finally, she would communicate but only through text. She wouldn't answer my calls...real professional. I called customer service a total of 10 times before i could finally get a manager to cancel my order. This saleswoman wouldn't get me her manager! Absolutely ridiculous. Also, the defective drawer on our bedroom chest is yet to be fixed and it was delivered over a week ago! The part i had to order hasn't shipped out to us yet and even then, when we finally receive it, we have to call customer service AGAIN to schedule a service call! This company is an absolute rip!!! I cannot believe they deliver defective furniture...it wasn't just 1 defective piece, it was a total of 8 defective pieces! I purchased a small $249.00 accent chair from Mooresville, NC that I could throw in the back of my truck. They said that they would have to deliver it, charging me $49.00 delivery fee. I explained to the sales person, it's a small chair that I can carry myself, I'll just pick it up here (the store I'm purchasing it at) and put it in my truck. She advised that is not an option, if I didn't want to pay the $49 delivery I would have to go to Rock Hill, SC (1 hour away) to pick it up, that they only sell items out of the store, customers either pay to have it delivered or pick it up at the Rock Hill warehouse. I think this is ridiculous, that you can purchase a small item at the store, that you can carry out and drive away with it. However, because they don't have the product available for pick up, the customer is forced to pay the $49 delivery fee. My opinion is that is a very poor option for customer, no matter what the price of the item. read more

Absolute worst delivery experience! I took an Entire day off work for my sons bedroom set delivery. The delivery men were awesome but when they went to go and put together my sons new bed, they did not have the correct pieces. They called their support team and it was the worst experience. The support team did not care that I took a day off work, had absolutely no options, I even offered to drive to the warehouse and get the correct pieces!! Still no help and no options!!! I will now have to take a SECOND DAY OFF WORK to get a second delivery- absolutely terrible Update after two days of arguing with them- still no resolution. My 5 year old son is still sleeping on the floor seeing as I sold his furniture the day of the delivery.. they are doing absolutely nothing AND they are saying it will be TEN DAYS for the pieces to be delivered!!! This place is AWFUL!!! I would NEVER do business with them. Ordered couches and was told it would take a month to receive, hesitant we still ordered. Two days before they were supposed to be delivered we get a call that they never made it to the distribution center but would be available the following week. A few hours later we learn they date they gave me will be 3 days later. We call customer care and find out we won't receive the couches for another month. Two months for couches we don't even know if we will receive. We cancel the order and they have the nerve to charge us a 10% cancellation fee!!! What a SCAM!! read more
