We purchased a couch and chase months in advance on layaway waiting for our new home to be finished and set the delivery date for 9/1/2018. We were told no problem. We go to make our last payment and are told the only delivery dates in our area were the 2nd and 4th Thursday's. That would've been pertinent information to share before we purchased the couch. We set the date for the 2nd Thursday and when it was delivered, the chase was broken. Now we have to wait another two weeks before the second piece to be delivered. Now here we are waiting the better part of a month before we have the furniture we paid. We contacted your office and were met with excuses and zero accountability on your part. This will be the last time we make any purchases through Ashley. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE - Considered yourself warned. I purchased 2 couches and an Ottoman in Nov. 2019. First delivery date was to be 12/20/19, on 12/18 they RS to 12/28, on 12/28 after waiting they RS to 1/3/20 - delivery time was to be 12;30 to 3:30 they ended up coming at 7:30pm. First delivery was a total mess - first couch was dropped and crushed and I refused delivery on it - so that took another 3 wks for the replacement. then the drivers tossed trash in my yard. the other couch i had was torn during delivery and they said they would replace and fix the fabric. Johnny on the spot cam to fix and when the 1st person sat down the staples all popped loose and then left a hole and no one could sit on couch because the fastened it wrong and so again i had to wait - well it was JUST NOW FIXED 5/29/20. during that time frame they sent wrong fabric/damaged fabric and Johnny on the spot who does repairs did not show up one time. the arms on the couches are literally cardboard like what wrapping paper comes around!!! Ashley kept saying I would be compensated - well they offered me $50 I said you got to be kidding me after 6 mo. $50 - what would that get a light bulb? they raised is to $130. I told them to give that to the next sorry ass that buys from them. Take the warning!!!!! Customer service people were:Tia/Levy/Jen/Patricia/Lauren some several times! The store has very good inventory in the show room. The sales persons will be extremely helpful to assist you during your purchase. However, this ends at the time you pay for everything. Once you paid, the store has no more control about your order and any issue you have, you'll have to deal with customer service. Customer service is absolutely awful. They won't listen to your concerns, they will not put themselves on your shoes and they can care less about what the sales person promised or the delivery guys did. They only care about following the policy and that is about it. If you have an issue and try to contact the sales person or the store manager they will never be available to help you out. If you go back to the store to ask for the sales person or manager to help you, they won't be able to do anything. Once you paid, you are in control of a different group which is not customer focused. I spent $10,000 in furniture at this store and one month later I am still trying to get my order fullfilled and damaged items replaced. I will never shop here again. I had a much better experience at the South Blvd store, however, again, you'll be at mercy of customer service once you pay for something. read more

I don't like shopping at a business where the employees work on comission, but when it comes to buying new furniture you don't have much choice. Found a theater type sofa and a recliner online that we liked and the price was good, so we went to this store to check it out. As soon as we stepped thru the door the first salesman to spot us came toward us at almost a full run like a vulture headed for a carcass! We told him what we wanted and he showed us what was on the show room floor which all they had was the power version. My wife and I are not so lazy we can not pull a lever or flip a button to extend the foot stool, plus the power option raised to price to way more tthan we wanted to pay. We looked around with the salesman right on our heels all the time, so we finally had to ask him to back off and give us some space to look and think. After finding nothing in the show room we liked we went back to the salesman to see if he could order what we found on line and have it delivered to the house and they could. Then came the hard sales pitch for the furniture protection package. After repeated declines, he dropped the price to $100 and at that point we accepted since we have a dog in the house and frequent visits from our 6 year granddaughter who is a spill waiting to happen! Paid and was told it would be a two week delivery time, which was met. Delivery guys were helpful and friendly, set up our new furniture where we wanted it and showed us the hidden foot stool release lever on the sofa. We really like our new furniture and overall the buying process was not quite as bad I thought it would be. I just don't like comissioned sales people attacking me as soon as I walk in, hovering over me while I shop and giving me the hard sales pitches to get me to buy. read more

They have made it inconvenient by placing strict demands on their delivery schedule and then don't come through on the delivery when promised. Also Chris B will tell you anything to make a sale. We had a good purchasing experience a few years ago and have gone back to make additional purchases since. All good. However, I just needed to file a claim on one of the pieces that we purchased the five year warranty for. When we purchased it we were told it covered anything. Their example was that they would cover it if we threw a knife and accidentally hit the couch. Turns out that is not the case. The leather is flaming and scratched on the piece and I was told that would not be covered. The warranty only covers 'accidents' or 'incidents'. I asked for an example of an incident and the operator could not give me one. I've spent a lot of money at this place (recently enough to be having a piece delivered tomorrow), but I will now find somewhere else to spend my money. Bait and switch pisses me off. read more

We purchased $3500 worth of furniture from here and before checking out the sales lady assured us that everything was in stock. The day of delivery came and only certain pieces were in and the others were on back order and the footboard for our bed was wrong. They brought out a new foot board and they didn't know how to put it together so I had to show them how to do it( neither man spoke English) and they left. Ashley told us the other pieces were in and set up delivery and never showed. Countless hours and phone calls and the wrong furniture lead us to cancel the order and ended up having them remove the pieces already delivered. We are taking our business elsewhere. read more

This is truly the worst furniture buying experience I have ever had. Please do not buy from this company. What a waste of time. I am currently on hold (10 min and counting) to see why a desk I should have picked up a month ago was not delivered yesterday at the new agreed upon time and day. After not being able to pick the desk up I called to have it delivered (1 month ago) when they delivered the desk (2 days later) the men dropped and broke the desk while setting it on the ground after taking it off the truck. I confirmed immediately with Customer care that someone would be out the next day to repair it... they never showed. Fast forward 3 weeks later I call and go the the same BS song and dance to get the desk. The incompetent woman on the phone offers to deliver the desk SATURDAY JULY 4th... beyond the fact that we are a business with Monday-Friday Working hours (she knew that prior to the deliver date suggestion) this is a national Holiday where I enjoy celebrating Freedom not waiting for someone to deliver something that I should have had a month ago. Well She decides, after I tell her what a dumb idea that is, to have the desk delivered July 7th... Its the 8th and I dont have the desk and after being on hold while typing this I was "disconnected" while being transferred. Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!!!!!!!!! The furniture is hard as a rock and not at all close to the furniture in the store. I was lied to about the mattress trial and how much it cost to return if not satisfied. The delivery was worse. They would not move the old furniture 4 feet to another room in order to put the furniture where it should go. They set it up in the wrong spot backwards to the TV. Had to be told that's wrong. Complete idiots and rude. I'm so disgusted and will never buy anything there again. There are plenty other stores out there. read more

This is the worst customer service ever. I went into the store in July and purchased several pieces. After i bought it i was told it could not be delivered until September. So i waited and when i got the text about the delivery time it said if you reschedule they charge you a $79.00 fee. Then i was given a delivery window of 4:00 pm -7:00 pm. At 2:48 pm i got an automated call my delivery would be at my home in 10 minutes. Then the delivery driver called and said he was at my house. We had someone coming over at 3:30 pm to wait on the furniture. He said he would go make another delivery and come back. Which he did and they unloaded our furniture and set it up. The only problem was the table we had waited for was delivered without the legs. They told us they would mail them to us and it would be 7 to 10 business days to get them and that when they come to call and make an appointment to have someone come back out and put them on. You have got to be kidding me with that. I called and talked to someone at the store to see if i could expedite this process with no luck. We gave our table away a week before the delivery date to make room for the furniture so now we will have no table for 4 weeks because of an error on the stores part. They did not offer any other means to solve the issue. i will never ever buy another piece of furniture from this store. I could not even believe this lack of concern for the customer. read more

I am so disappointed with Ashley Home Store. I was in the process of selling my home and buying a new home. I went to the local Ashley home store and ordered over $5,000 worth of new furniture. Well then COVID 19 hit and the offer from the company to buy my house was canceled at the last minute. Then that forced me to have to cancel the contract on my new house. I called Ashley Home Store to cancel my furniture order and was told I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. That's over $500 that I sure cannot afford to lose during this time. I explained I was canceling due to the pandemic and it was certainly no fault of my own. No sympathy from Ashley Home Store. They would not make an exception and I was charged $500. I have called the store numerous times, put on hold and no one ever answers. I've called and emailed the corporate office numerous times but still no help. I'm very disappointed in them. If they can't make this right then I will go to Rooms To Go to buy my furniture when things get back to normal. read more

Their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered a dresser and it has been delivered broken twice! I call to cancel and am told that I have to pay a 10% restocking fee. I have contacted customer care twice, their Facebook page, emailed them, filed a complaint with BBB and the local manager to no avail. I was told I had to cancel within 72hrs from when I purchased it. The first dresser wasn't even delivered in that time frame. I guess I should be psychic and know they would deliver 2 broken dressers. So, now I either wait for a third and hope it's not broken or pay them $75 for a dresser I don't even have! read more

The absolute worst customer service!!! They make promises but don't deliver. Our couch was delivered with a hole in it and nearly 2 months later I'm still waiting on a replacement. We also ordered extra throw pillows and the store ordered the incorrect ones and I've still received no resolution to getting the correct ones. I was told by our sales rep to send an email to customer service. After the issues, we've made multiple follow-up trips to the store to be promised they would make it right but they haven't! It's pretty sad that the store manager and sales rep doesn't take pride in following up with unhappy customers that spent a few thousand dollars. Save yourself the issues and go to a local furniture store that provides customer service and takes pride in customer satisfaction. Not worthy of 1 star as a review honestly! Very friendly guy that provided us with tons of information on the products we were checking out. Not once was he pushing us to purchase anything he gave us plenty of time to make our desicion. I will never shop at Ashley's again. My first order 2 pieces came damaged, they replaced the couch quickly but the footboard took over 4 months since they shipped the first replacement board to my old address and it was packaged poorly and cracked in half. I finally got another part and their third party repair company said I needed another part to complete it which took 4 months to complete. I needed more furniture and since I'm in sales have them another chance. I had guests coming and ordered a bed and several other pieces for the master bedroom. They told me everything would be here by the 6th and my guests were coming the 9th except for the Master TV stand which I was fine with. I decided to cancel my dining table and called a week before the delivery. When I received my notification of what was being delivered their was not guest bed only the mattress and box spring but the TV stand was coming and the dining table I cancelled. Needless to say the truck came with the table and chairs. I can't say I have ever been this disappointed in a company and their service. I know if this happened to my customers they would never deal with me again and I can say I will never use Ashley's again and will let all my friends know how bad both experiences were. read more

I bought both bedroom furniture and mattresses. The sales person was extremely helpful and helped to facilitate our delivery as soon as possible as we just moved here. That is when it goes down hill. Part of the delivery was scheduled for today 12/19, the rest next week. I got several calls and emails to confirm which I did. It was supposed to be here between 1 - 4 PM. I arranged work accordingly. Got an early call at 8:25AM from a gentleman who barely spoke English saying they would arrive in 20 minutes. I hurriedly got dressed, put dogs upstairs and ran out to move my car...this also delayed work plan. Nobody showed. 20 min, 30, 45, and hour and 15 min passed. I called and was told that they would not be here until later. I complained and was basically told too bad. My daughter called ask to speak to a manger and they refused to let her speak to anyone. She then called the store. She was told that delivery would be at 12:30 p and that a manager would call. Manager never did call and delivery was not at 12:30. Got a call at 12:32 PM saying delivery would be between 3:30 -6:30 pm. Totally messed up my work day. Got a call at 3:18 pm saying they would be here in 5 min. I went to secure my dog, they knocked and before I go to door, they opened to door and started in. I met them in hall. The delivery guy, I think Jorge looked at me and said, "sorry." They then started moving the mattresses in and was so rushed that they nearly broke some items. My daughter told them to be careful. They spoke Mexican among themselves, were rude,and threw the mattresses down. They quickly took a picture and rushed out. The most rude, obnoxious bunch I ever encounter !!! I am hoping this bunch does not make my delivery next week and that the items are better quality than their customer service! read more

Listened to our wants and needs and made a genuine effort to guide our decision. He was not pushy during the process and made each process fun. Our family had a bad experience a year ago getting a bed late and when it finally did come, it was damaged. We just sent it back for a refund. So this year we saw a bedroom set there we loved and bought it. And considering our last experience you'd think nothing should go wrong. Shame on me this time. Two days before delivery they call and say our delivery will be delayed. We went right up and got a refund, again. If you shop here expect nice, helpful salespeople. Why a 1star? Because 0 is not an option. We've been stood up once again by the confirmed delivery that never showed. The first time the table was damaged so they didn't deliver it. A phone call would've been nice rather than waiting past the delivery time, then sitting on hold, being transferred, then finding out a new one is on backorder. This time we don't know what happened, we're trying to find out. The last time we purchased a table there we went through 5 delivery attempts before an undamaged one arrived. Another negative review for Ashley furniture - A couple months ago we bought a night stand to be delivered to our home. After 3 consecutive night stands were delivered damaged we gave up on the night stand. My bad - short memory - we go back to buy a dresser a couple of weeks ago as an Xmas present for our daughter. I take a vacation day from work to be home during the 11a-2p delivery window, at 12:30 I get a call telling me they just discovered the dresser is damaged and they can't deliver another one until 2 days AFTER Xmas! Terrible self pickup service. Was flat out lied to by Charles, our salesman. He said they would be very helpful at the warehouse in Fortmill, SC. I wanted to inspect the furniture and then have it wrapped up for the trailer ride home and Charles assured me that would not be a problem. When I got there all they wanted to do was load it up and have me drive off. They said if I wanted to look at it then I would have to unwrap it and rewrap it in the same wrapping on my own. I guess this is the way the company sticks it to those who don't want to pay their steep delivery fee. Spend your money elsewhere. I will never buy anything from them again. read more

Our experience with Ashley furniture was horrible. After you purchase the furniture they could care less about customer service. Our order was delayed and then cancelled. My wife had to make numerous phone calls to get it back on the delivery schedule. The delivery people were very rude and let us know they didn't want to be there. They mishandled the furniture and broke one of the dressers. One bedroom was delayed 2 mos. They took 10 days to ship parts for the broken dresser and said somebody would contact us to fix it. I cancelled the furniture that was delayed and over a month later our dresser still has not been fixed. I made my 1st payment and still have broken furniture on the floor of a new house. The sales person and store manager have no interest in helping resolve issues after the sale and would not return phone calls. Stay away from Ashley Furniture!!! Their customer service is horrible and you are NOTHING to them after the sale! Never received a phone call, and when I called them days after the date they were to call, they had given all of my furniture that had been delivered to the store to another customer, and I was to wait another month for my furniture to come into the store, and even longer for it to be delivered to my home. read more

I found something that would work perfectly, was able to get it at a great price, and Nancy was very knowledgeable and great to deal with. Furniture arrived with minimal damage, they sent someone out to fix it twice. Months later we noticed significant damage on the interior surface of the feet of the large chest. It looks like it was touched up with paint, trying to cover gauges. We haven't said anything, after time I imagine they won't believe us anyway. But for the thousands we paid you'd think it would come so damaged. (It's in a really good hidden place, furniture is black) read more
