i purchased a leather sectional sofa. from the store on 2/20/2026. i paid for the delivery. the following week when they showed up to deliver my almond (beige sectional) one of the delivery guys smell like he had been smoking marijuana. the sofa was not covered in plastic. it had dirty handprints on it. there was a shoe print on the seat of one of the pieces. my armless recliner had a tear in the back. they insisted it was already like that which was not they case because i had pictures to prove it. the sectional was not like that when i purchased it. i refused the armless recliner and they scheduled to bring me another one. the following week i took off work again. this time they sent two different drivers who were nice and didn't smell like marijuana but ashley furniture tried to deliver the same torn recliner to me once again. you could tell they had tried to repair it. i didn't want a repaired recliner because when i purchased it there was not need for repair. i had to take off work a third time and when they delivered the armless recliner it was in a box with not issues. the store manager was very aware of all the issues. she said she would see what she could do to help but never called back. i have called her on multiple occasions and she always says she'll call back but never follows through. i called the home office and a represenative from ashley said she would have someone follow up with me on my experience but never did!!!! the delivery company said i would get reimbursed for the delivery charges because of all the hassle but ashley has never refunded my money. this was my first purchase with ashley and it will ultimately be my last!!!!! the manager is extremely unprofessional. to constantly say you will call a customer back and fail to follow through once you have your sale & commission is pathetic in my opinion. read more

DO NOT BUY A LIFT CHAIR FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE IN OPELOUSAS, LA Buyer beware!!!!! Horrible customer service. Imagine how it feels to spend $1,182.60 on a chair you expect to relax, nap, or just be comfortable in but then realize that's not going to happen? Then imagine what it feels like to be treated as if you are a criminal just because you want to get what you paid for? I didn't get to try the chair in the store because it had to be ordered. When it was delivered about a week or so later, I noticed it was hard and uncomfortable but I thought I just had to adjust to it. A few weeks later, I noticed that sitting in the chair was causing significant pain in my neck, back, shoulders, and hips. I tried not sitting in it for a few days and the pain got a little better but then when I tried again, everything would hurt again. I became convinced the cause was definitely the chair. The salesman, Mr. David Clark, promised me that if I was willing to pay for the extra insurance, whatever problem I would have would be covered. Wouldn't defective construction that causes so much pain be a covered problem? At any rate common courtesy and decency shouldn't cost anything extra but I agreed to pay it. I called the ASHLEY FURNITURE store number and spoke to Omar Reyes, who I thought was very rude, uncaring, and had an attitude before I could even explain why I called. He specifically told me someone would call me Wednesday. When no one called, I called back today and spoke with a woman who told me since the chair wasn't physically damaged there is nothing they can do for me. I thought she was joking. From the attitudes of the people I spoke with, do you think they were aware that this particular chair had problems associated with it? Do you think they knowingly unloaded this garbage on me? I spent all of that money and can plainly see that this purchase has only caused me pain and suffering but Ashley tells me there is nothing they can do? How could they think I would be willing to just accept them keeping my money for something I plainly see has not enhanced my life at all but has only caused more problems? Please give me advice on how I can make them pay one way or another either for my pain & suffering medical bills, swap this chair for one that doesn't hurt, or just give me my money back to let me go somewhere else to get a chair that doesn't hurt me. I was shopping for a dining room set in November 2022. The first store I went to gave me a price that I was not particularly sanguine about, so I went to Ashley home store. They gave me a slightly better price, so I pulled the trigger. As a courtesy, I called the first store to let them know this, and they offered to beat Ashley's price by $400. I was not particularly thrilled with either store under the circumstances. The first store should've offered me their rock-bottom price initially if they wanted my business. But I told them a deal was a deal, and that I would not cancel my credit card transaction. Since then, I've had three of six chairs come up lame the first time anybody ever sat in them. Apparently, the legs are held together with flimsy metal staples! It may take as much as 2 to 3 months to resolve this issue because they could not/would not replace the chairs without sending somebody out here to make sure they couldn't be repaired. if he makes the determination that they could not, then and only then will they be replaced. Never again. Update: it's been three days. I had to call the customer service number. Overseas fulfillment center! Rudimentary English and got hung up on three times. On the fourth try, I was told that the original trouble ticket was almost blank. The only thing on it was that the table, not the chairs, were damaged. Nobody was ever going to call me. update: it's now been three days since the ticket was "fixed" and still no word. Now I'm going to have to charge back my credit card. read more

I purchased a reclining sofa last year in July. It stopped reclining on one side within a month or two. I immediately called to customer service. I gave her the serial number and she said that someone would be contacting me to set up a visit to see what was wrong with it. She also stated that I would receive an email with confirmation that the service order was set up. Needless to say I never received not one email. I also went into the store and expressed my service order. No help there either. I called again and gave same information no call back. I am so aggravated with this company. If I would fail to make a payment then I would be receiving calls & emails. I would not recommend making a purchase from this location or any of them. JValteau read more

Stay away. They sell junk and when you have a problem they will make every excuse to not make it right.

The salesperson was helpful to us and matched the price we had seen at another store. I would have liked to have gotten my stuff sooner, but considering shipping issues now three weeks wasn't too bad. We dealt with them mostly through messages after the purchase, they gave us a date and time of delivery and was here promptly at that time. I did get a call that one piece was on back order, they gave a date for that delivery and was here promptly on that date. Our furniture was exactly what we ordered and we are satisfied with it. This furniture store is amature at best. The sales person that I had experience with was untruthful, and did not do her homework before selling me a sofa set. When the sofa was delivered is when I found out it is not what I ordered. When I called the store the sales manager was rude and unhelpful. He simply said oh well people make mistakes. He then let me know he has been managing furniture stores for over 25 years and that these things just happen. I now have a $4000 sofa set that I am not satisfiyed with! I explained that I could have gone to Olindes and purchased a similar sofa and all the sales manager would say is that he worked there too. There was no resolution to my issue, and pretty much just snyde comments when I explained how disappointed I was. I would not recommend this store for anyone. They will tell you what you want to hear and will not help you out when it is not exactly what you wanted. Horrible customer service. Shame because I would have used them for all of my furnature needs. read more
