My girlfriend and I purchased a Tempurpedic mattress and base. Kip was our sales person. He really took the time to help us. He asked questions and made recommendations. We shopped other brands but after consulting with Kip, we were sold on his recommendation. A true sales professional, he explained everything clearly. The delivery was flawless. I received a message from customer service which seemed promising. However, since they initially dropped the ball from day one, now they are saying it's too late. Even though they sent out a technician who said it would be taken care of for us. I will never do business with Ashley Furniture again after this experience. We are hard working, honest people. The prices of furniture is outrageous! It might not be Ashley's fault but I wonder why the prices of even the Clearance has you grasping for air! This is a humungous location with about three brands under one roof. You can find parking really easy, close to the door. They have about three entrances, I haven't experienced this location in its busy time/season but I would assume you're free from a packed parking lot. You can find a variety of items here, leather, and any other items you might think of. Staff weren't around, not sure why but its a huge location so they could've been on the other side of the store. I don't know much about their deals or shipping but hopefully it helps with the prices being sky high! LOL. I'll return to see if I can learn more. read more

Do not buy the Protection Plan. Total Scam. I bought it for outdoor furniture which included a patio heater. The thing is literally crumbling apart. When I filed a warranty claim, it was denied stating no electrical components are included under protection plan. (Not electric - uses propane heat tank). Found counter-height barstools on Ashley website and went to store to see in person. Showed sales person in Shakopee, MN store a picture on my phone and she took me right to it. Yep, that's the one. She ordered two of them for me and matched the online price (saved $40/piece!). Picked up the unassembled boxed stools at store three days later, but upon reaching home discovered they were bar-height, not counter-height. I called and they reordered the correct stools and even assembled them for me because of the error. Two days later I returned the wrong stools for the assembled correct ones, and those stools are great! Everyone was very understanding and helpful. I bought a livingroom group from Ashley in 11/2020. The couch has a medium size lump protruding from one of the back cushions. I scheduled a technician to come out and look at it. The appointment was scheduled 2 weeks out. No one showed up on the appointed day. I called Ashley and was told the technician was sent to the wrong address. I had to reschedule and was told I would have to wait an additional 2 weeks. I was told the tech visits fill up fast. Do not ever give a CASH downpayment if you might need to cancel the order. Even though it says right on the paperwork that any CASH payments will be returned in full via a check if order is cancelled, they do NOT do that!!! They find a way to keep some of the money...and you do not get a check in full for the cash $$ you gave them!! read more

I love my furniture but was very disappointed in the customer service. Last August I bought a set of outdoor furniture that was on clearance. Over the winter, a gopher decided to make a bed in one of my cushions. I called customer service to see about getting a replacement cushion. I had not bought the warranty and was fully prepared to pay for a new cushion. I was told I would hear back in a day or two. After 10 days with no call, I called back and got a voicemail a few days later saying they had contacted the manufacturer and there was nothing they could do. I called the manufacturer directly myself hoping to get at the least, a reference to someone who made the cushion. Within 2 hours, Agio, the manufacturer sent an email that a replacement cushion was on the way, no charge!!! Thanks Agio! Love my furniture and your customer service is outstanding!! read more

I recently bought my first home not far from here in Savage, Minnesota. I took the quick trip here in hopes of finding a sectional for my basement living area. I will start by saying this place is huge, as it is also connected to a furniture mart next door. The main reason for such a low score has to do with the prices. My God, I saw a corner table that I could build myself in an hour priced at $660. Crazy! After spending about 10-15 minutes in the store, I found the perfect sectional and floor attendant Kyle was quick to the scene. Kyle was very professional and he knew what he was talking about. I had many questions, all of which he answered. I got the perfect sectional, all my questions answered, and delivery set up with a half hour (free delivery too!). I would give it 3.5 stars if I could, but the franchisee owners should match up the online prices with the in store prices. If you come here - look up what you like and see if the price is lower on their website. It saved me a couple hundred bucks! read more

It's a little bit of a drive, but we deal with it when we're looking for the best possible deals and selection, in doing so, we found our sofa that was a good price. Thank goodness because furniture shopping sucks sometimes. There's always a ton to look at, so you just want to find what you're looking for! Great thing...they don't have sales people stalking you all the time. That's one of the reasons why I hate going to furniture stores, but was relieved when they only stopped by to say hello and asked if we needed help. And when we answered "we're just looking around" they left us alone. Because we were on a really tight budget, we wanted something decently priced, NON-microfiber (since every sofa we've seen that was on sale was microfiber, but we hate them because they always shock you!), fabric material - no leather, and something we thought would last a while and look more modern. Thankfully, there were a few options to choose from! We found something for under $400, fabric material, and a transitional traditional/modern style sofa. It was comfortable and we hope that it'll last us a while. The sales lady that was helping us was nice...but it seems as though it may be a bit cut-throat since she basically tore down her co-worker's math skills in front of us as well as her cohorts. That was terrible to watch and very unprofessional on her part. She could have done that after we had left. But wow, some people. Other than that, we are very satisfied with our purchase! read more

Is there a way to rate this place without selecting any stars at all?! This is a warning to all! Do not shop here! The manager is an unpleasant person by the name Mark Olson. I needed help with something that had to be handled by someone other than the sales associate, instead of providing that exceptional customer service that's commercially advertised, this manager looked at his associate whom I was standing beside and said he was in the middle of something. Rude. He didn't even make eye contact with me at all. Just 5 seconds after that, the associate across from him replied that the situation was handled, he then turned back to us and said ok, guess not. I walked out this store very disappointed. Guys, I bought all my furniture from Ashley about 10 years ago when I bought my home. Great customer service and good furniture. However, something has changed there. I went there last week to buy a mattress. I also need a new sofa and some other furniture as I finished my basement. I was literally pushed to buy a mattress cover for $75 without telling me that I cannot return and/or exchange it if I change my mind. The mattress came with a cover in the box so I went to return the extra cover. Manager was extremely rude. He just indirectly told me I am an idiot as I did not read the fine prints in the receipt. He even refused to exchange an unopened box. Well, they just lost at least $10,000 business in order to keep $75 sale. I'm buying my recliner sofa set from Costco. Highly impressed with this store's integrity as a result of a screw up of another colleague. So kudos to Chase Wood for doing the right thing to keep a frustrated customer happy. Long story short.... I bought a desk/hutch/chair from Ashley Furniture and Chase. Even though he and I agreed up front the hutch (backordered) would be picked up, he agreed to deliver it free of a charge as a result of a botched attempt to combine a Furniture Mart order delivery with Chase's order. So not only was transaction smooth with him, he covered up for the inadequacy of the sales associate on the Furniture Mart end. I am as content as I could ask given the scenario. read more

No warning that it would take a month to actually receive my couch. No phone calls to update me on my order. Our Ashley (proprietary) chaise side of our couch broke mid November - 4 months after we purchased it. I called to report this and they said they need to send someone out to confirm it is indeed broken - that took 2+ weeks. Once someone looked at the couch, we were told 3-5 more business days to set up someone to pick up the couch for repair. Day 5 I called in and was told we were not even in their system!?! I spoke w a customer service rep who was rude and told me he had other people he needed to help, rather than try to resolve my concerns. I spoke w a manager who told me simply these are Ashley's procedures. No explanation or apology. After inputting my information they scheduled a pick up for my couch - another 2 weeks later. At which time they were 2.5 hours LATE outside of their already 3 hour pick up window. I was given a call that simply told me they'd be late. Not asking if that would be ok / work for me or apologize for the delay. Days later I called back to get an update on how long it will take to fix my couch where eventually I spoke w a very nice delivery manager who confirmed the couch was a fixed and rushed my delivery. I tried to speak w a manager to share my disappointing month + long experience after all of this and it took almost 1 week to get a call back. Long story short - I plan on never purchasing from Ashley again knowing their customers service (lack there of) when a problem arises. read more

We went in looking for a sleeper sofa. A very nice gentleman helped us out, catching us by the door. Other sales associates were sitting around waiting for the day to end. We found what we wanted and were about to check out. It was $60 cheaper on their website but the sales associate had trouble getting the system to reflect the online pricing so he tried asking Mark Olson, another sales associate. Mark was a cranky middle-aged guy in an ugly, oversized, tan 90s tweed sport jacket and kept giving our sales associate lip about how the system would automatically update itself to reflect the price. Eventually, our sales associate figured it out with the help of a different sales associate and we were on our way to check out. Mark stopped us and told us we couldn't purchase the sofa sleeper, a $880 or so transaction, for the online price and would have to settle for the in-store price of $940. This was because the sofa sleeper wasn't available to be purchased online (it would say "see in-store"). Quite understandable but we declined to purchase the sofa due to Mark's behavior. He was incredibly rude to our sales associate the entire time and seemingly bent on making sure we couldn't save a measly $60. I have no clue why a person like Mark Olson ever got hired, or ever is in the sales business, but he was a toxic person. Maybe he was mad because it was a bit past closing time on a weekend (maybe you guys should close earlier?) or maybe he was mad he didn't get a sale (maybe he should be engaging with customers instead of sitting on the sofas?) Mark wasn't even there to help us in any capacity and we have no clue why a coworker would come in and ruin someone else's sale. We felt very bad for our sales associate and were left in a very awkward situation. Initially went in on June 21st to purchase a couch. I ended up finding a sectional couch that I had liked and decided to purchase the couch with the sleeper inside of it. Turns out the sleeper is a special order, no problem there, and that it would take a little while to receive since it had to be built (very understandable). I was still unsure about the direction of the couch so to make things easier I paid IN FULL on June 21st and informed them that I would call back at a later date once I had figured out the direction of sectional that was needed. I had ended up calling back a few weeks later to officially place the order for the couch, and was informed it would take some time to get (completely legitimate since it had to be built). In the time that followed, how Ashley does business slowly showed itself. Roughly a month after I had placed the order for the couch, I had noticed that I peculiarly enough had received a refund (on August 5th) from Ashley onto my credit card for the exact amount that I had paid IN FULL for the sectional. I left it for a couple days to see if it would clear & I would get a call from Ashley and to my surprise I had heard nothing. I finally called Ashley to find out that after a month they seemingly were unable to "make the couch due to covid". Huh so It had taken them a month to figure out that they were unable to make my couch, at the same point holding my money in full for over 2 complete months, and didnt even have the common courtesy to call and inform me that my couch wasn't being built. When I had called the manager (Brandon currently), he blamed it on Covid, which after almost 9 months of having Covid in the United States isnt a legitimate excuse for holding well over 1000$ for several months. Take two. After several phone calls it was determined that they would in fact be able to order me the same sectional, this time without the sleeper inside of it. Okay fair enough, I can compromise on the sleeper if they are only making one type (A fact that they could have figured out prior to me placing the original order and then withholding my money for a couch that wasn't even being built. Must be nice collecting the interest on hundreds of customers orders that are paid, when the orders themselves are not even being built). August 8th was when I had placed the order for the second couch without a sleeper. All is going well. Called back roughly two weeks later to schedule a pickup since my couch had been delivered early. Turns out my couch "was damaged at the distribution center". Are the workers at Ashely that incompetent that they are unable to move a couch, something they very well should be pretty darn good at by now, or was the couch just not even built in the first place? Again I had to initiate contact to even find out this information, something one would think that they would contact the customer immediately about considering it is STILL PAID for. Finally get ahold of Brandon, who is apparently the worlds busiest salesman because you can call, to be told he "is with a customer" at almost any time of the day. Brandon informs me that "it isnt his fault." Well it's definitely not mine or any of the other customers faults that are probably having the exact same problem. When told you will be called back dont expect it. Also when trying to call for your couch that seemingly disappears every time you order it be sure to *67 your number because towards the second half of my order extravaganza they started to not answer the phone unless I blocked my number. Quality business Ashley. Finally asked for a refund, which I had thought that was the only thing Ashley was good for at this point in time, and go figure, they now apparently are having quite the dilemma refunding my money in a timely manner. Currently have been waiting about two weeks and have yet to see or hear about my refund. Anyone who is looking to buy a couch do yourself a favor and order from Amazon. Probably better quality and you'll get it in two days. Or go to a real furniture store. read more

BEWARE: The online prices are NOT the same as in store & they don't price-match. Had all items picked out based on what I found on the Ashley website, but wanted to see everything in person, so I went to the store. Mark Olson greeted me & says I get additional 20% off if I finance for 5 years, (60 months), interest free. Sounds like a great deal, right? WRONG. He sneakily up-charged me almost a grand on the order. Noticed on the invoice when I got home that every single item had way higher price than what shows online. This had to be a mistake, I thought. I'll just call & they'll fix it. No big deal, right? Yeah, not so much. Mark also messed up the terms of my financing, & I had to drive all the way back to have it fixed. That's when I asked about the price difference, which I was made to immediately regret. Blonde gal behind the counter literally flew off the handle & caused a scene over a simple question. Other customers were looking over at us in horror...so embarrassing. I didn't understand why she was so upset. Anyone with basic math skills would notice the discrepancy after reading over their invoice...why am I the villain for asking about it? Not only did I NOT get the 20% off, he actually raised the praises! Then she says: "online prices are sale prices & only for customers who choose 12 month financing." Then she starts giving me a bunch of BS about how the store is a franchise & the prices are different. Excuses, basically. I said I understand the franchise can make it's own prices, but I'm not going to pay almost a grand more for the same items, when I can get it all online. You would think they would be like--no problem, we'll price-match that for you. I don't know any place that wouldn't price-match their own website. Mark couldn't care less about my concerns. As soon as I left & he had my signature, he couldn't be bothered with me anymore. I called 3 times during the next 2 weeks, and was told he would call me back...which he never did. The only reason I didn't cancel the order right then & there was because we had family coming & didn't have time to start all over somewhere else. 3 weeks later after I finally got a delivery date. I specifically asked if everything was in, (we were waiting for the beds to come in), and the gal I spoke with assured me that everything was in. When the delivery day came, it was delayed due to "truck problems." I wasn't shocked...they couldn't seem to get it together at any point so far, why would delivery be any different? Around 6 PM, they finally showed up...with 2 of the 6 items we ordered. Can't even make this up!! I asked where the barstools and beds were. The delivery guys said they were "back-ordered." When I called the store, I asked to speak to a manager, Hector, who only said--"I don't know why the delivery guys told you that...everything is here. I'll have Mark call you back." No apology, not one shred of concern that this delivery had gone sideways the day before a holiday. I asked Hector to have these delivery gentlemen go back, pick up my items & bring them to us. He said--"sorry, those are in our warehouse in Medford, which is closed." Wait...what?! He JUST said those items were "here" meaning...at the Shakopee location...now they're in a warehouse in Medford?! How many lies do these people tell on a daily basis?! And they still charged me $100 for delivery! When Mark finally called me back, (3 hours later), I told him to cancel the rest of the order...I was done with them. I had already rushed out to find bar stools & a bed frame at Target. Mark just defended himself and said--"you knew the beds were special order." Can you believe this guy was defending himself...as if I was the one who made the mistake! Such an unhappy, unprofessional man...the very definition of Greasy Salesman. Dishonest practices, disorganization & unprofessional employees basically sums up this place. Save time, money & hassle & shop elsewhere. But how if i already paid for it? The reps at ashley were not very apologetic at all did not accomodate the inconvenience at all instead said it happens and a lot of other people are waiting on it as well they then told me i won't recieve it until THE MIDDLE OF APRIL, so i called th 3rd week of April they told me it still was not there again still very unapologetic about the situation no accommodations said it will be in on the 26th of April so I waited until the 28th gave them a call and they told me i had to wait until the 2nd week of May! The most horrible experience buying furniture at this store. Do not recommend. Me and my husband bought premium mattress and a bed at Ashley. The bed was out of stock and we were told to wait for a month, so we did, but waiting was not the problem, we know that it took some time to build it. Then, the bed was delivered to us, when installers were ready to tight all screws, they found out that there were no screws. Men called their supervisor and he told them to take it back to the warehouse, so they did. I asked them when they will bring the bed back, they told to call customer care, so I did and they told me that it is going to take 2-6 weeks!!!!! I was trying to contact the store where we bought it, they did not have any information on the delivery date. Finally, in around a week I received a call from delivery guys and my bed was delivered and all of the screws were there. I was happy that it finally was at my house, but the nightmare just started... two days after the installation the mattress fell to the floor and we wanted to know what happened. My husband looked at the frame and found out that bed rail bracket hooks were wrongly installed. All bracket hooks were left sided so that's why the mattress fell down. I was trying to reach the store and did not receive any information, so we drove to the store and showed pictures what's wrong with the bed rails, they said yeah, we received a call from you. Then customer assistant said that the manager of the store will resolve our issue but he left home already, so we'll call you on Monday (it was Friday). We thought ok, we'll wait until Monday. And of course, we did not receive any calls from Ashley on Monday. On Tuesday, I called store again, they redirected my call to customer care (AGAIN!!!!!), while talking to customer care assistant, she said that under our order there are no claims or any suborder for new parts for our bed. Then she asked me for the pictures that show what happened, I did send her pictures, and after reviewing the pictures, she said I see no problem with your bed. I tried to explain that me and my husband have to sleep on the floor because if we use bed, it is going to brake down completely because hooks do not hold the rails and mattress. So finally, she said if you want I can send technician to your house to look at it because I see no issue with your bed, I said ok, and technician can come in almost three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is unbelievable what kind of customer service Ashley store has. I am disappointed and mad, how can I finally get my bed fixed, it is not my fault that they are keep making mistakes. We have ordered furniture from this store three times and all three times we either received the wrong item, it did not arrive when promised or we received only part of our order, such as a sectional that was delivered and we only received two of three pieces and then were told they didn't make the third piece? Seriously?? I will never shop in this store again. Oh, and don't bother calling the store manager, because two of our three times we had problems it was him that placed our order. I would give this company 0 stars if possible. I have purchased furniture a few times from Ashley's and never again. The delivery has never gone well. Their delivery department is a disaster. Twice they have given me a 3 hour time window and not shown up at all! No one calls from the company to explain what is going on, they just don't show. The last time I called and left a message for a manager that never called me back. Finally I just called to cancel the order. Their furniture is ok not great and it isn't worth what you have to go through to get it in your house. read more
