Jury is still out on our final impression, pending whether our issues ever get addressed, much less solved. Our sales experience was pleasant. However, I ordered TEN pieces of some of the most expensive & "nicest" series offered.....and had issues with 6 pieces (some with more than one issue per piece). Over half of the order!! 4 of those 6 pieces had/have major issues.That's highly questionable craftsmanship and handling, however, I'm more concerned with how issues are resolved. I try not to focus on just the fact that issues exist, so I've been waiting for the "resolution". We have had to initiate all of the contact and aren't getting clear answers. The whole process is highly disorganized. The timeliness and thoroughness of the customer service AFTER you give them your money is subpar, at best. Only TWO pieces have been fully resolved, and that's because those pieces were refused upon delivery and forced to be replaced. We still need adequate repair or replacement of 4 additional issues plus a replacement footboard. The couch wasn't assembled correctly (likely due to a production flaw which is preventing the pieces from nestling properly), then it wasn't "repaired" correctly, either, and now just simply needs to be replaced!! 4-5 issues were clearly production issues (hardware not mounted properly, frames not squaring up) rather than "expected" shipping/moving imperfections (dings, cracks, etc). That's probably the most depressing part: that the production quality control is very poor. The local store staff have been very professional & courteous, if not efficient. I think they're mostly trying their best. The biggest issues seem to be the quality of production, repair technician, and corporate "customer service" scheduling, etc. Today, I decided to escalate the communications to a store manager. They were not available when I called, but I was told they would call back later today. Hopefully, that will warrant our situation closer attention and finally, resolution. I'm starting to quickly lose patience as I tentatively wonder what lovely little "treasure" (issue) I'm going to discover next. read more

Went to this store a while back and worked with Catherine. I honestly had no idea what I wanted when I walked in to the store and she worked with me for a while to figure out what would work best with the space I had. I love the furniture I ended up with and looks great. There was 0 pressure to buy anything took me 2 visits to finalize everything and each visit was extremely helpful. The store is also nicely plot up where you don't have a million things all stacked close to each other. So all in all if your needing some furniture without the hassle of sales gimmicks you should try these guys. read more

My purchase has turned into a horrible experience. When I went in and found a couch I wanted they ran my credit and I was approved through 2 different places. One of the creditors informed me that I was approved for 1200.00 however, that line of credit would not be available until I received the card in the mail. The Ashley Store Manager suggested we go ahead and use that account anyway since the creditor supplied them with the account number. We finished all the paperwork and had a delivery date set up for Friday, January 25th. When I got back home with is about 40 miles away I received a call from the manager saying that I needed to go back due to the bank not finding the purchase because the line of credit was not approved until I received the card as they had told them originally. I went back the next day (January 23) to put the couch on the other credit account and after completing all the new paperwork I was told by the employee that I was still set up for delivery for Friday January 25th as originally planned. During this time I had returned the couch that I was renting from another store due to having a delivery date for the new couch. Friday January 25th rolls around and at around 4pm I still had no couch and had not heard anything from Ashley's so I called them. I spoke with a Manager who informed me that there was a credit hold and the couch would not be delivered until that cleared. I asked why I hadn't been informed that there was a hold and was told that the employee should have told me this even though the paperwork that was printed still showed the 25th as the delivery date. I was later told after having to make several calls to actually track down the manager that the earliest delivery date would be Wednesday January 30th. After expressing my displeasure and threatening to call corporate and cancel my order I received a call from another manager saying that they had gotten approved to have the couch delivered on Monday January 28th. On Monday the delivery of my couch had arrived and when removed from the box the couch was damaged and I refused the item. I called the store again and spoke with a Manager to inform them that the couch that was delivered was damaged and asked when the next one would be delivered and was told they would not know until the damaged couch made it back to the wearhouse that night. The next afternoon (January 29th)I received a call from a Corporate Manager to schedule my next delivery. I was told Friday February 1st would be the next available delivery date. I told them if they could not get it to me any earlier they could cancel my order and I would take my business elsewhere. The corporate employee then told me that the delivery could be made on Thursday January 31st. I was told I would receive a text to confirm this delivery and as of now, Wednesday January 30th I still have not heard anything. During all of this the company has not offered anything other than an apology for all of my trouble in attempt to make things right. I suppose once they receive their money and make the commission they don't care what happens with the customer. As of right now I do not plan to do any further business with this company nor do I recommend anyone else to this place. I will update tomorrow as to if I actually receive the couch and what condition it arrives in. read more

They can't find the way to deliver what you buy for a month it seem that they don't know what they sale they say they have it and after you make a contract they change your delivery so many times that you lose count and past month and still waiting on your item. This people are ridiculous. People don't buy there I gave up I recommends go to room to go or bob mills they do get your things fast . I was told 60 months no interest, went to pay my first payment, and MORE THAN HALF WAS INTEREST!!! The customer services is terrible here!! Once I relayed the problem, I got told "Oh well we'll call you back" Have I received a phone call back? You guess. I live in Waco and wish I would have gone to the Waco store and saved my gas. My wife and i moved to belton one year ago and needed to furnish our new home, we went shoping all over but the the best service and help came from our sales person PATRICK he is full of knowledge let us look and shop understood what we were looking for. Was and is extremely helpful every time we go. He even text us when store has 30percent off sale or when new products come in. By far this has been our favorite place to shop. Even when i had a problem with a chair we purschased PATRICK once again was all over it for me and helped to resolve . I no longer worry if something gets delivered incorrect or even damaged because i know it will get resolved without a hitch. Great place to get what you need. Ashleys furniture in temple, Texas if Patrick is not there their the store manager has also proven to be great to deal with as well. We shall continue to purschase from this store. read more

This Ashley furniture has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. To begin with I started out shopping at the Ashley's in Killeen and they ordered me the wrong bed frame and head board after I showed them the same photo numerous times, but when I took the frame back after opening it and realizing it was wrong the only other issue I had with them was they never contacted me to inform me about the status if my bedew which turned out to be discontinued and they refunded my money. The temple location knew I had trouble with Ashley furniture before, but really didn't seem to care. I purchased the bed frame I wanted again at this location, but my sales rep (Michael) refused to honor the original price I paid even though it was only a $10 difference and when I asked if I could pick my frame up from their location he laughed at me. After purchasing my bed I double checked to make sure they had ordered the correct frame and THEY DID NOT. I still have the emails to prove that they had to order the bed again. They did not double check the numbers associated with the frames. After this they gave me a receipt that said I could pick up my frame in San Marcos on august 11. I still have the receipt in my emails. I drove two hours from my home to the distribution center on august 11th and it was closed. I called them and left a detailed message which they returned promptly on Monday morning. They informed me that my head board would not arrive until two weeks later and that I could, in fact, have arranged to pick up my bed from the temple location. I called the temple store back to see what was going on and the rep that answered my call told me that Terry would call me back. I waited two weeks and never received a call from them so I called back. I spoke with another rep and she told me I could speak with Michael and after I informed her of the way he had treated me she put him on the phone anyways. I originally ordered my bed in the beginning of MAY of 2019 and did not receive it until August 30th of 2019. 4 months later and when I went to pick it up, the store manager, Louis, greeted me at the door and seemed to know nothing of what was going. All of the associated that I had dealt with to order my bed walked the other way after seeing me and Terry and Geri both did not want to load my Frame into the back of my car. When I asked if someone could help me load it they looked at each other and walked back into the building. No explanation, but came back out and refused to talk to me, only complained that it would not fit in the back of a 3 row minivan with all of the seats down and told me if it got damaged then they wouldn't be held accountable. Shopping here was absolutely terrible for me. I hope no one else has this experience. In all honesty, ZERO stars. I will never shop at an Ashleys furniture again. read more

Customer service is seriously lacking with this company. The continued poor service and inept ability to correct a lack of quality repair on a BRAND NEW couch has made me a very dissatisfied customer. The number of items that I have to complain about has now rose above 10! To give the general public an idea of the fiasco I have endured. I went into an Ashley Furniture store in Temple, TX and decided on the Dahlen sectional sofa. I found the couch and chair cheaper online than was priced in the store but they did price match and convinced me that although I could get cheaper delivery pricing online that it was "worth it" to pay the extra fee they charged in the store "in case something was wrong with the pieces upon delivery". These pieces were a celebration of selling my home, getting a divorce and my birthday- so pretty monumental. A week later my furniture is delivered, as promised, but I noted a small hole in the backside of the chaise lounger while the delivery guys were still unloading it. They called customer service who offered me $75 in store credit for the problem, but no real resolution on getting it repaired or replaced. I called back pretty irate due to my disappointment and was offered to have the fabric of the section of the couch repaired by a craftsman. I wasn't thrilled to hear it would take a week to get the fabric to me and then another week to have the craftsman out to repair it. But I relented. I finally get the fabric and the craftsman out and it is the wrong piece of fabric, and will have to be re-ordered and wait again two more weeks. Keep in mind that every time this happens I have to call customer service and sit on hold for up to 30 minutes to speak with someone. To date, I have done this 4 times now, which equates to 2 hours of my time, along with the time off work to meet the craftsman. Today, which is now a month from the time I received the couch, the craftsman arrived (although I called customer service and advised that the date they chose to schedule him was not convenient for me and asked to reschedule for the following week), only to discover that the replacement fabric sent the second time is STILL THE WRONG PART! The customer service regarding this entire issue is not even close to poor, it is seriously grave. This company has more issues with customer service than I have seen in any medical facility, fast food restaurant or retail merchant. Overall, I would not give this company a 1 on a satisfaction scale. This is truly sad because the couch that I had before this new purchase was an Ashley one that I had purchased 10 yrs previous and had a fantastic experience. Apparently becoming a big name, has caused some big heads that do not recognize a need to really focus on customers. I can assure you that I will do my very best to make sure that everyone of my friend NEVER consider their store for future purchases. TOTALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Purchased Entertainment center and Bed from Ashley for delivery on December 31st. Original delivery driver refused to deliver due to rain, he then met another driver in a rental truck and transferred product to his truck. Upon receipt of product, we advised the entertainment center was damaged, dents, scratches and paint from the drop cloth they used in their truck. He tried to setup the bed, but could not get it to work and told us to read the manual. He refused to take the product back. We paid for white glove delivery service. On January 1st we went to the store and filed a complaint. The sales rep informed me they just minor cosmetic issues and it's ok. We refused due to the extent of damages. They agreed to take the entertainment center back but told us we must wait and try to see if we can get the bed working and used to it. They also stated we would receive a refund of the delivery fee. On January 16th they finally picked up the entertainment center but never refunded the delivery fee and two weeks later finally credited the entertainment center. When we enquired about the credits and bed situation, they stated it was coming and referred us to Pflugerville location to see the expert Steve to get a different bed. They stated we had to keep the bed 30 days and that would fall into the timeline by delivery. We drove the hour, met with Steve, he left us alone to assist other customers and then had us wait while he scheduled delivery of a replacement bed system. When we started calling for delivery and credit of the fees, we were told Steve entered the tickets wrong and the order was canceled. We were told repeatedly that a manager and someone from corporate would call us back. We also were told we would have our Ashley Cares credit card with 3 payments covered before Synchrony billed for the first payment. On February 18th, we discovered someone assigned a technician for AHM Furniture Service to come inspect the bed. He came on the 24th and advised that the bed was not repairable and a design flaw. He advised that he was recommending they take the bed back as there is nothing that can be done to make this right. Upon following up on this a week later, we discovered the rep closed the ticket out with a resolution for us to take it up with the manufacturer as a warranty issue. After weeks of no return calls, call center employees hanging up on us or committing to more return calls, I went into the store on Monday, March 22 to talk to the store manager that failed to call us as his assistant store manager committed. He stated the return and refund of the bed, delivery fee and Ashley care program can only come from customer service. I advised that customer service stated he could authorize the return. He stated he would look into the matter and call me no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 23. He never called and I spoke with the store and he is off until Friday. I made 8 calls to customer service and only 2 tried to help. The most helpful lady, asked for pictures to be emailed to her at CAJackson@ashleydsg.com. She confirmed receipt of the pictures and put me on hold, came back twice to let me know she was still working on the issue and the third time she came back on line, she started to tell me the next step and the phone disconnected. I made 8 attempts to get back to her or a manager. The 2nd lady that tried to help stated this was above her pay grade and hung up as well. I need Ashley Home Store to pick up their defective bed and issue a full refund of all monies. We have been beyond patient and extremely abused by this company. read more

Truly wish we would have read these reviews before doing business here, my wife has purchased pretty much everything from Waco Ashley with no issues, huge mistake doing business with the temple Ashley location. A new couch and exspensive 8x10 area rug was purchased from the temple location because my wife works close to that store, after waiting for our purchase for over a months time due to what Ashley employees stated as our furniture was all on backorder after making the sale and wasting a whole Saturday waiting for delivery (which never happened and not even a phone call to tell us the items were backordered) we finally opened our new area rug to put in home and found that over half of the rug had no ink printing. When my wife returned to the store with rug she was told that since we waited approximately three weeks to open that they would not do anything about it! Store manager stated to my wife that she called Ashleys corporate office and was told that they were not replacing or refunding for the item. Sounds a little fishy to me that corporate refused to help!!!! Beware of doing business with Ashley furniture of temple tx. I came in to Ashley Furniture back in December & Melodie was so great, helpful & welcoming I then purchased my Lamps on a very good deal I ordered those because I knew that I would be moving here soon & I have now moved here to Temple Texas as of yesterday. I came back in looking for Melodie she wasn't here so the new store Manager Lawrence had a great & warming approach he then paired me with Jackie who also was very knowledgeable, Helpful, she listened, & she was very understanding to our new place needs & perfectly matched us & sold us a Living Room set, & 2 bedroom sets & mattress this store Management Team shows that they care about their customers & the True needs of the customer, it also shows throughout the staff in the store I would always come back & deal with this store as long as the management doesn't change nor the energy of the store COME CHECK THEM OUT THEY BLESSED US read more

Still waiting on two pieces that were bought in October. After given the run around on pieces being back ordered, Ashley delivered twice. The first delivery (November) had one of the tables obviously damaged; not sure why it was even loaded. I guess they thought we'd take damaged furniture. The other table was in pieces and truck driver refused to put it together. The second delivery (December), piece was damaged again and one was missing from the truck even though online it said it would be delivered and the driver said it should've been on the truck. We've contacted Ashley many times during this process, but you hear a different story from each person you talk to and no one calls you back like they promise. Even our last yelp review the Ashley representative said we'd be contacted, but that never happened. Called again today and delivery has been pushed back to January 14th. Wish I would've read yelp and FB reviews before shopping there because it's been a nightmare. read more

A little over a year ago, I was shopping for a living room set that would stand up to my large dogs. I specifically asked the sales rep which would be the best set and she recommended the micro fiber along with the furniture guarantee. I had asked about leather but she steered me to the micro fiber. She specifically told me it would cover to the dog's nails, but not to dog chewing. Since my dogs do not chew, I went with her recommendation. Fast forward, and the dogs have put 3 holes in the furniture. I also needed to purchase some bar stools so we went into the Temple store. Lo and behold, dog nails are not covered. So either your sales rep flat out lied to me or she doesn't know what she is doing. She apparently is still employed. So now I've spent a good chunk of money on a set that looks like crap. After speaking with the manager, he offered me a deal on the barstools to "make it up". Um no, I will not give your store any further business my problem is fixed. He said that he would email the main office and they would be in touch with me...well it's been a good 2 weeks and not a single word. The thing is I was willing to buy the leather which would have apparently stood up and I would have spent more, but was convinced the microfiber would be the best. Update: the home office contacted me and basically said. Oh so sorry our sales reps sold you a furniture set that wouldn't stand up to a large dog and so sorry she told you the warranty she sold you covered dog nails when it doesn't. Too bad for you though. You're S.O.L. I will never again by any furniture from this company and I will share my experience with others. I bought a dresser and then had to return it same day, because we found out as a surprise one was already purchased for us. When I called to cancel I believe it was terry I spoke to--said the money would be back into my account within 3-5 days(I listen very carefully to words)--however I have common sense and knew she probably meant business days. I didn't get any type of verification that I canceled. So I called back into customer care--who called the store for me to confirm and now they're telling me 7-14 business days. I really dislike being told one thing & then another, now they're telling me it posted to my account, but will take 16 business days. These people can't get their business together. You've now told me 3 different things. I will never buy from this store, just based on the customer service experience. If people don't receive their money for 16 business days, that is what needs to be stated the first time. I've never had so many issues with a company this big. They did not go above and beyond to build any type of value in their company--just kept apologizing--not even genuinely just so they could get off the phone & not deal with another "upset" customer. I like honest companies & it may seem very little to some, but it's a big deal for others who rely on a companies word of when they will receive their hard earned money back. Went to the store on June 14, 2020 and ordered a reclining loveseat for a total of $1894.88. They told us it would be delivered on June 25, 2020. We never received the delivery even though we got a text stating what time period that it would be delivered. I called the store and was told the truck that was supposed to deliver our loveseat did not leave the distribution center. It has now been 39 days and I have not received the refund. I call once a week and have been told so many excuses. They first said that it would take 7-10 days to receive then it changed to 7-14. I called again and they used the excuse that they only cut checks 1 time per month. Still waiting..... Today it has been 39 days and I still can not get an answer regarding my refund. The store manager has been fired so I have to talk to someone new now who tells me I have to go through the headquarters. I called headquarters and they tell me that I have to get it from the store I purchased it at. I go through this every week. Buyer beware...do not give the company any of your money and read reviews. My wife and I went to this location at 6:30 pm to browse their selection because we are looking for a bedroom suite. We did not leave until after 9:30 pm because the sales lady (Patricia Chappell) and her Manager (Lawrence) kept us in the store after closing in a vain attempt to sell us a bedroom suite costing $6500 on sale. Original price $8,000. We were told we could buy it with six months no interest financing at a monthly cost of $1083.00 per month or get 60 month financing on the Original cost of $8,000 and pay $154 per month. As of now, we are just taking bids and seeing what is available in the market. We found a similar suite at Bob Mills in Temple for $3001.86. Since our trip to Ashley Furniture, Patricia and her boss have called us three times asking if we are interested in buying the furniture and I have always said no due to the pricing and financing terms. I could not say what exactly is motivating her to make these calls other than her commission, but they have given me the impression that the location is in financial trouble because of the repeated efforts to sell us furniture after being told we were not interested at this time. On the last call after I turned Patricia down for the third time, her boss (Lawrence) called back and said he would cut the original price to $73,00 if we would accept their 60 month Financing at the monthly cost of $154.00. In my view this is a bait and switch tactic because if you advertise the sale price, that price should be good and available to all customers, not just those who can afford to pay cash. read more

Was told that my furniture would take over a week until I could pick it up and to be charged 29 dollars for me to pick up at the Temple store. I was told that my furniture would arrive on the 2oth and that they would call me. Well no one has called ,so I called them and they told me that my furniture has been sitting there since Thursday This is very poor customer service. We recently purchased a living room set and tv stand November 30th credit approved and signed the papers then they say the sofa would be delivered December 4th which was fine but the recliner,love set,table set, and fire place will be delivered December 12th and the TV stand is on back order. So before signing all the paper work they should told us this. Now here is it December 11th and they send an email notification that the TV stand is being delivered i called the customer service department and told them not to deliver the stand on December 11th that nobody will be there and to put it on the truck for December 12th with the rest of our pieces. But i guess they never go that email. By the way if you call customer service or even walk into the store they don't call anyone they send emails. So it will take up to 24 hrs to get an answer. So after waiting for the tv stand for 2 hrs the tracker they send you through your email said unable to start meaning they canceled the delivery.So now i am calling the customer service number and was on hold for 30 minutes 3 times trying to talk to someone. When they answer they tell me we will try to get all the pieces on the truck tomorrow with the rest of the delivery. The company is full of crock..I recommend shopping at big lots prettier pieces and they offer financing now as well.."Ashley furniture don't respond to this review your wasting your time". read more
