We purchased a 3,000 mattress 11 months ago from Bob Mills. Within they're 90 night warranty, we went back to exchange it for a different one. We met with the original salesman told him we were both experiencing back pain at that we wanted an exchange with 90 night warranty, the salesman told us " it's too soon, to exchange it you have to keep it longer. So bring us to this week, management set us up with a warranty call/email. Kelli from Bob Mills emailed a two page questionnaire that required photos. Emailed them, a few days later Kelli, sent a new email requesting more photos, but she didn't say what type of photos to send. Now I'm told if we don't comply with unknown photos our case will be terminated. Never, Never buy couches or mattress from this store, they will delay, delay, delay. I purchased a recliner from the Temple store. The recliner has heat and massage. It was purchased 22 January 2025. The color is coming off, the leather is dyed and the dye is coming of. I contacted the store about the warrant. instead of saying they sold me a lemon they are going to "Repair' it. The entire chair will have to be disassembled and somehow fix where the dye is coming off. I will never buy anything from Bob Mills again. Run away from this scam of a store. read more

Final product is good but several bumps along the way. I ordered 2 chairs, one delivered with noticeable flaws in the fabric of both arms. Noted on delivery. It took several calls to get an adjuster out who did arrange to have it reupholstered. They ordered fabric and waited to pick up chair until the fabric was in and work would start which was great. But from there, no communication. I had to call several times starting at 2.5 weeks but no one could give me a status other than they sent an email to warehouse and were waiting to hear back. Warehouse in Waco, solutions person, who was nice was in OK and said he couldnt directly talk to warehouse.... bad system. I was told I needed to keep checking back. Finally they found the chair. The person scheduling delivery was very rude but I did finally get the chair back. Good work on reupholstery and the delivery workers were nice but I think I'd still be waiting if I hadn't kept calling. Not sure I'd shop here again. read more

I purchased a new couch about 4-5 years ago and I love it. After about 2 years my couch started pealing on the sides of them. They did come out and the man said he recommended some cream oil to try to soften it. It's just my husband and I and we sit on all four pieces of furniture. . I would not buy a mattress from them. First they are way to expensive. Second, there sleep spa is a farse. They lure you in that they can take guess work out of buying a bed then they sucker you with their o0 night warranty. I hate the 4000 bed I bought. Can't sleep on it. My only options is to return it, pay restocking and delivery fee and then buy a more expensive bed approximately 1000 or more up with no warranty. Buy a bed in a box that offers free returns if you don't like it. You can get 8 or more good ones for what you have spent at Bob Mills and have probably got something better that you like. I was suckered into believing them and will be paying for 5 years on a bed I don't even sleep on. So frustrated I went there!! read more

This place is awful. Bought a very expensive bed from them and it broke down pretty quick. Tried to file a claim and that was a joke and of course denied. Now I am having sciatic pain and having to go to pain management. All other sources of where the pain came from have been ruled out. Bought a large chaise sofa in July of 2024. Total cost $2,500. Electronic features on it stopped working in December 2024. It is now March 2025 and still no resolution. Told part won't ship until May of 2025. Dissatisfied with follow up, customer service and resolution of issues for an expensive piece of furniture. Reading several other reviews indicates others face the same issues of getting a repair in a timely manner. I give Bob mills 3 stars, Mrs Stephanie was very friendly and made me very comfortable when I arrived at Bob mills. I didn't feel no negative energy or felt pressured to buy anything. She helped me apply for a credit card and gave me space to look at my options. And gave me good recommendations on a mattress which I very much love til this day. Now what I DO NOT like is that when my furniture arrived slats of my bed did not fit! The furniture delivery staff were polite and informed me that the manufacturer had sent the wrong sizes for my queen bed. Also since my room has little space for them to move around they did scrape up my dresser. After the delivery staff had left I called Stephanie who sold me my bed set and she once again didn't disappoint very polite and very helpful. I told her the situation and I told her that I didn't like how the headboard wasn't intact all the way, the slats of the bed didn't fit, and my dresser was scrapped. She made sure to make a couple phone calls and rescheduled a day for them to come out and replace everything Unfortunately when they did arrive a week later with replacements. Once again the slats didn't fit. Me being frustrated at this point I called Stephanie letting her know I no longer wanted the set due to me basically sleeping on the mattress for a full month I was fed up. I went back to Bob mills and picked a whole different set Stephanie took real good care of me with this set. Made sure I got everything I wanted once again. Today I got my new set and I'm very pleased with the results and I may say it's way better than the last one. When we purchased our couch from bob mills I specifically asked about a warranty. I was ensured that was included. In less than year my cushions started ripping. It's now been a year and a half and ALL cushions on my sectional are ripping. It's just me and my husband and our infant. We can't sit on all 7 cushions and there's no way we caused any excessive wear and tear to cause the rips. I was so excited to have our first couch that wasn't a hand me down or off Craigslist for cheap. Turns out you're better off on CL!!! We called to file a warranty claim and were told the warranty doesn't cover rips on the cushions....wtf!?! Then what does a warranty cover?!?! Bob Mills furniture is a freaking joke of a business!!!! Don't spend your money Update: we still haven't even had our couches for 3 years and we're going to move for the first time. Discovered nails protruding from the back of the sectional that was up against a wall! And it lines up with the very corner of the sectional so it's not even an area anyone even sits. Contacted warranty and what do you know - also not covered!!! This has been the most garbage piece of furniture I've had in my life, and what garbage handling by this company too! I went into Bob Mills furniture for the first time and Eric Martinez greeted me at the IH 10 W location, San Antonio, Texas. Eric Martinez greeted me as soon as I walked in. I told him I was not looking for anything in particular and he was very friendly and checked up on me later. I fell in love with a bedroom set so I waited for him to come find me and when he did, I made a bedroom set purchase. Eric is so friendly and professional. Not PUSHY at all and their managers really try to give you the BEST price. They are all so friendly. I loved the furniture so much that I purchased more pieces with a week! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have received in a long time. Bob Mills has great furniture, all good quality. The first Furniture store you must go to before purchasing. On 4/25/23 we went to the Temple location looking to purchase a power reclining sectional. We tried several in the store and really liked the Poppy. It was very comfortable, had smooth reclining mechanisms, was very roomy and we felt that it would suit our needs. There was a special going on where we were able to purchase the matching recliner for a discounted price. We spent about $4500 for everything, and it was delivered about a week later. We immediately discovered that it was nowhere near as comfortable or roomy as the one we had tried out in the store but chalked that up to it being new leather that would get softer and more comfortable over time. Because it was so stiff/hard, it also "pushed" us forward in the seats making the footrests very uncomfortable as, now, our feet hung over the ends. We tried to love the new furniture for right at about 6 weeks and came to realize that it simply wouldn't suit our needs (never got any more comfortable). We contacted our salesman explaining that we would like to exchange the set and purchase something larger. We weren't asking for or even expecting a full refund, and we would be spending a good bit more on the different sectional. We also had the means to return the furniture to the store, so there was no issue about them needing to send a truck for pick-up. In addition, the furniture had all been completely covered since delivery, so it was still in pristine, like-new condition. The salesman got back to us about 2 days later (after he had a chance to talk to the manager) and advised that, due to their 5-day return policy (never discussed at time of purchase) and COVID-19 concerns, they couldn't/wouldn't help us. We were disappointed but did understand. At no time were we rude, disrespectful or behaved like this was something that we were entitled to have done. We are now at 8 weeks since delivery and decided that one way to make the seating work better for us would be to remove the corner wedge and replace it with one of the non-reclining armless chairs, making it a straight vs curved sectional. Although it still isn't very comfortable, we are still willing to give it time. I contacted our salesman on 6/30, leaving a voice mail for a call back. After not receiving a call back that day, the next afternoon I called again and spoke to him this time. I explained what we were wanting to do and asked if it would be possible to purchase just the individual piece. He said that the cost for just the one piece was, approximately $600. I asked if, as a long-time customer (having spent close to $20,000 in there over the last several years), they would be willing to sell us the piece for the same price that we had paid 8 weeks ago, which was about $250 less. The receipt listed each individual piece and its respective price, so I knew exactly how much that piece cost at the time of purchase. I felt that this would be a reasonable accommodation as they were already aware of our dissatisfaction with our purchase. Once again, I was told that he would need to talk to his manager (who was in a meeting at the time) and he would call us back. I have not received a return phone call or even an e-mail. It's truly a shame that a company such as this is willing to lose a loyal, long-term customer over $250. We will likely just sell this furniture (at a huge loss) and buy another sectional that we had found through another local furniture store. read more

We were also told we HAD to purchase a mattress cover and pillow or the return would not be accepted. Now they are saying that we have to buy another Mattress of equal or more cost to replace it. They want me to pay for part of the repairs which I explained this a defect. The same issue was taken care of a few months after we purchased the set. If this was something new I would not be so upset. This is not a new issue this is the same issue that was a problem early on. I have explained this to no avail. This company does not care about their customers, they only care about the bottom line and it is green. I was also lied to about the quality of this sofa set. Bob Mills Does NOT live up to their standards. They DO NOT under any circumstances NO MATTER HOW WRONG BOB MILLS is accept returned Merchandise. They delivered a Mattress with a hole in it came to take it back 3 weeks later and when we told them we wanted just to return it they blamed us stating "we stand behind our policy" That no one ever makes mistakes at bob mills. I tried to resolve this at the store and cooperate levels with no help. they delivered the second mattress and after Purchasing the 90 nights program as well as the Mattress protector and pillow so that we COULD return it if we had any problems they denied that that was said. In Thier BBB profile they blame customers for the customers for bad service and do not want to admit they made a mistake. They will not pick up my merchandise from the exact spot the delivery people left it in. The delivery drivers told us to just hold the furniture and contact Bob Mills to pick it up. When we contacted bob Mills That same day for the second delivery, They told me they had to get my salesman Gary to call me back he was with clients. We called everyday for four days and could not get ahold of Gary so we had to call cooperate that transferred us back to the store manager. When we spoke to the store manager and explained the issue and the above statement and told him that Gary told us if we bought the Mattress protector and pillow with the case and had the 90 nights sleep policy that Gary told us that it was returnable or exchangeable. The manager said that was wrong. Pulled Gary in. Gary Denied ever stating he said that. How would we Know about that or even bring up a return if We were not told about it in the first place. We recorded the entire conversation have extensive photos and more to say. At the end of everything after going through cooperate they stated that due to OSHA Guidelines state they cannot take mattresses back As it is a OSHA Regulation. After Calling OSHA and Quoting The Lady on the phone at Bob Mills Cooperate She stated that I was Correct. Meaning SHE SAID INCORRECT INFORMATION BY MISTAKE. Just Like GARY. People Make Mistakes. OSHA Deals With Employees and Work place safety. I have those calls recorded as well. After Spending a full day going back and forth They would not budge on returning the mattress and now I am getting charged for this by the finance company. All we want is our money back. They even blamed us for having the 1st Mattress in our home for three weeks. We called them the same day as the delivery guys instructed and set a time for them to come pick it up. We were told they only come to pick up on Fridays in our area.... We have that recoded too. Then after trying to fight to get them to work with us they said that they can deliver on a Saturday.. Why was the first one not delivered on a Saturday? We were told over and over ONLY FRIDAYS. Then now Saturdays as long as we have the staff.. AGAIN ANOTHER MISTAKE... From Gary. So I guess they don't know what the word mistake means or how to admit they made even just one. When we called the store Manager and ask if this had ever happened before if they ever had any complaint or a situation like this in the ENTIRE history of the company....The DECLINED. The store Manager stated that this was the ONLY time this had ever happened and they have never returned or had any issues since the opening of the store.... Then you Go to the BBB Page and see the truth.. They have these issues all the time... So when will they admit that somewhere they made a mistake? My Opinion is there are other Mattress stores that offer 365 days DURING Covid to test out try out and return the Mattress for a full refund. and you guessed it we called all the other mattress places. 90% of them have a 90-365 day FULL REFUND POLICY. Not Like Good Ole Bob Mills... They again WILL NOT REFUND OR ADMIT they have MADE a MISTAKE. Now they might respond to this with "customers Only hear what they want or certain parts of the conversation" as they did on BBB. Or that we tried to offer a solution for the customer to try the mattress out and then we exchanged the first one (that had a hole in it) as a solution or resolution. They might even say they offered an exchange of something of equal or higher Value.. and they did state those things...again recorded. What they did not state is that They were SORRY for THIER MISTAKE. To resolve the ISSUE we decided to REFUND FULLY the amount we paid. the best part is That Good Ole Gary even told us that if we return the mattress there would be a $500.00 restocking fee. They use a third party delivery service out of Waco who then hires contractors to deliver for them. The police have been involved. I needed to get furniture for a guest bedroom so stopped in here for the first time. People were welcoming and friendly but not pushy. They have billboards that advertise no "shipper stalkers," and they stuck to it. I had a really good idea what I wanted and Ron was able to get me fixed up quickly. I had to wait about 10 dats for the pieces to come in but was very happy with the quality of what we got. I felt that the prices were reasonable. I didn't do much browsing as they were closing soon- but the quality of the things I saw looked good. I would not hesitate to shop there again. read more

If I had done the review immediately after the purchase, it may have had a glowing review. I am not new to buying new furniture but I am new to being scammed. I'm not small. The couch weight limit was 125-150 per person, and within a few months, the reclining mechanisms were failing. They put in new mechanisms a little beefier but still not heavy duty enough, so I don't use the couch. It had been a very expensive dog bed. I purchased a recliner Big and Tall for a 6 foot 9 large man who, in his prime, was a fireman taking care of others. I was so happy to see him in something nicer than what he had. Good thing we kept what he had. The recliner mechanism broke due to it not being made big enough for him. Not for his height and probably weight, too. 8 inches too short, so another expensive dog bed. The Rottweiler loves it, although she preferred the older chair. The recliner for me I waited for 3 months to get delivered. The date kept being pushed back. At that time, they contracted out the deliveries. The guys who delivered were high and smelled like the weed they were smoking. Told me I must have a lot of money to throw away and shop there. Nobody shops there. I wanted the recliner to be moved down the hall, and they didn't know it came apart to move. Probably why I had a repair visit on that later because they didn't quite get it all together right after they had taken it apart. I'm worried that too will have issues from my weight since that has been the status quo. I should've got the extra coverage. Although they don't have coverage for we sold you crap that won't work for you. The only thing they had going for them was the repair man. I know him well now. I tried to talk to somebody about an upgrade on the couch. They don't do that. I paid $385 for the repair to the recliner that is not big enough for the big and tall man. Misleading name for the brand when it isn't really tall at all. When I was seeking to get the repair handled, the woman on the phone was rude. I told her I'd pay and did only to learn they just don't care about the buyer. All they want is the sale. I'd give it a minus 5 if it could. Save yourself the heartbreak and buy from Ashley or somewhere else unless you're really petite and have no large friends. Now I'm bombarded with their ads on everything, and I wish I could go back to that first day and just drive right on by. I was doing fine before I went there. read more

Do not purchase furniture from this store! They used plastic feet that are stapled to the frame of the couch. When the feet bent and broke off (minimal use of the couch) they made me pay for the repair BEFORE they would schedule a repair tech to fix it. When they finally schedule the repair tech, you must set aside an entire day as they won't give you a time frame until the night before. They just called and canceled my appointment for tomorrow - after I had set aside the ENTIRE DAY to deal with this. I can choose to either take a day off work or delay my vacation. They still won't give me any time frame until the night before, so I can't even try to schedule to work part of the day. In the meantime, I have visitors coming in next week, and I still can't use my couch. Their merchandise is shoddy, and their customer support stinks. I will NEVER use this company again - I don't care if I have to drive to Austin or Dallas, I will go somewhere that provides quality furniture and then half-way decent customer support. read more

We bought a Kelly Gray recliner from the Temple TX store and I am so pleased with this piece of furniture. Well padded, well made and just the right size for a smaller person. Customer service could have been a little more helpful concerning when the chair would be available for pick-up; but all-in-all a good experience. We purchased a living room set in 2018. It was delivered on 2 July 2018 to our residence in Belton, TX. It has only been 14 months and the furniture is falling apart. It is very poorly constructed. In fact, we discovered several months following delivery that one of the cushion seams had broken when they were removed during routine cleaning. I suspect whoever delivered the furniture noticed this and continued to "install" the furniture. We're empty nesters and live alone as a couple. The furniture does not get excessive use. I'm writing this because the leg on the couch came undone when simply sliding the couch away from the wall to plug in a light fixture. Below is a link to photographs.
