Purchased powered reclining living room set on 8/9/25 from Ashley Furniture, Williamsburg, Va location. Turned faulty battery in on 8/25/25. Still have not received new battery 3 weeks later. Continue to get the run around. Was told 3 month between charges by Stella (Store Manager) and having to charge every 2 weeks on other 2 batteries. They are stating no refunds, but we turned in a battery that we paid for thinking we would get a replacement and have not. We are currently out $150 on the faulty battery. read more

BEWARE OF THIS STORE!!! I got a couch from here a month ago is came damaged but was promised a skilled technician would come and repair it like new. Foolishly I trusted them and let them place the couch inside my house. A month later finally a technician came.. and did the WORST JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN ON MY BRAND NEW COUCH!!! All the damages that have been done have all been through Ashley, and instead of fixing that wrong I'm running in circles to get this fixed. I want a new couch. This is not what I paid for! They want to send(what I've experienced) another untrained technician to come and "fix" my couch. The whole back is a disaster and the back cushions look like they have been shoved in there cause now they are deformed and lumpy! Edit: After weeks they have wronged their mistake, it still doesn't take away from the terrible job the technician did. The new couch is fluffier and came with no tears. read more

HORRIBLE customer service!!! We were promised a certain delivery date and the morning of the delivery they called and said it would be delayed a week, no reason why. Finally delivered, they were supposed to attach the frames to the headboards. The guestroom headboard was not attached, just left leaning against the wall. The bed was almost 3 feet off the ground because the delivery guy said "that type of frame serves as a box spring". How does a inch thick metal bar serve as a box spring? Several dings and scratches on the living room furniture. NEVER again will I use this place!! read more

We got two electric loveseat combos at the Cyber Monday sale. It still cost a pretty penny. Two weeks later, the things were delivered and set up. The setup crew didn't bother to make sure everything worked. I called the store about a bad switch (the footrest won't go up). I was told to call "customer care" (note the quotation marks). I called "customer care," spent a good deal of time on hold, told the girl (Shawnte) what the problem was, and she said she'd take care of it. Two weeks later, a power supply shows up with no instructions or even an explanation what it's for. A Google search showed that it was for the motor on the loveseat. The problem was the switch, not the power supply. I called again and spoke to Shawte. After about 15 minutes, she finally understood the problem to be the switch. "We'll send you a switch. When it arrives, please call us back and we'll schedule a technician to come out and install it." I called back a few days later to let them know. Now, I'm being told that I'm out of "their normal service area" (I'm ten minutes from the showroom) and will have to wait until a technician is in the area. It's been almost two months... EDIT: The technician just left. Wholly unimpressed by #ashleyfurniture. Over two months to get a switch replaced because "you're out of our normal service area." The "technician" barely spoke English and had no idea how to access the switch without flipping the entire assembly (3 pieces). All he needed to do was pull the velcroed fabric at the back. They need to train better. Never buying anything from them again. read more

Do not buy a mattress from Ashley they do not stand behind their products. 1st question I asked what if I don't like it, I was told"no problem you pay a restocking fee and choose something else" that was lie #1 lie I hate the mattress, I am miserable and uncomfortable and they said sorry its your problem not ours #2 what do I do with my old one "oh no problem her is a number and you call house of mercy and they pick it up for free" I made the call and they lady near chewed my head off, "we don't pick up mattress, I don't know who told you that!" And on top of all that I was shocked at the very large shipping charge they taked on...I am so so sorry I bought from them, I only did because the 1st and 2nd time I visited they told me the same story, I believe their lies and now I am stuck paying for this misery for a year read more

Be very wary of any retail store with non-cancellable and non-returnable terms in their sales contract. That's the case with Ashley Furniture. If you don't receive merchandise as described or as you expected, you'll be lucky to get store credit. No refunds will be granted. You have to ask yourself why! And their 6-months-same-as-cash financing isn't as good as it sounds. If you have even a dollar left on your loan at the end of 6 months, they apply interest back to the amount owed on day 1. Believe it or not, even if you have excellent credit, their interest rate is a whopping 29.9%. That's right, 29.9%. Do yourself a favor, and find your furniture elsewhere. You'll get much better quality for your dollar, and won't end up feeling like a sap for choosing Ashley! And if you ignore this warning and buy from Ashley, don't even think of changing your delivery time, which is an "estimate, not a guarantee". That'll cost you an additional $200. read more
