Totally dissapointed!! Apparently, read the reviews online and after a reference from a friend who got a haircut done with the owner i booked an appointment- the owner was traveling and another lady who worked there cut my hair- I asked for simple layers she did such a horrible job that i cant leave my hair down and now i need to go somewhere else to fix the mess The whole service was bad. After the hair wash , my whole t shirt was dripping with water and i wasn't given a towel but a small wash cloth to cover the head To top it off she charged me $65 for cut and blowdry, - which the blowdry didnt even stay put for half the day. DO NOT GET PERMANENT MAKEUP AT THIS PLACE! The permanent ink is smeared above and below what was supposed to be a fine, thin line on one eye and huge droplets of ink under the other. It was excruciatingly painful for two hours, I was horribly bruised for more than a week like I'd been punched in the eyes, and the result is something I should sue her over. Many of the good reviews are from friends and an employee - lies. Permanent DAMAGE is what she did, not makeup. You have been warned!! Months later and I curse Ashley daily for what she did to me. No correcting it because it is so near my eyes. I hate having to spend so much time covering her horrible mistakes every day. Ashley did a great job on my hair, I had her bayalage special. She took the time to work on my hair color and roots; my hair was a lot lighter when she was done. I absolutely love my haircut and style! I got my haircut here at Ashley's Salon, for the first time in almost a year since I moved here to Texas from out of state. At first I didn't know what to expect. But the women who greeted me were very kind and welcoming. They immediately got to work on my dead ends and did exactly what I was asking for perfectly. She asked me if I wanted more volume in my hair and then taught me an easy way I can manage my own hair outside of the salon. I have finally found a place far from home that I can trust with my curly hair! Took my daughter for a simple haircut - swing bob style. It was a terrible experience. The stylist didn't use scissors...ok if you can get the same results with clippers. She can't. Shorted underneath. Longer on top. Uneven all around. Now I'm at SuperCuts getting an emergency fix. And the stylist here is shocked at the mess that was created on my daughter's head. When the stylist at Ashley's was done, she said she didn't have time for the shampoo that I requested. Ok. Then she said $40 for a child's haircut. I told her that her website says $20, and I wouldn't pay a cent more. Strongly suggest that you avoid this place at all costs. read more

Sarah was the one who took care of us, here, and I, at least, was initially wary - we are visiting for medical reasons and needed to clean-up, and a mall salon? Always a little hit-or-miss. But Sarah greeted us with open arms, all love and talk - she was very calm, and happy, and helped ease my anxieties. I gave her creative freedom over my hair, and she is the only person to ever cut it down so it stayed consistently the correct shape! She did so with such ease, and I was floored! Then she cut my husband's hair. She even did a lovely job with dye-ing his eyebrows! He looks so good! Him and I are floored and humbled. I went on Saturday and got my hair colored. I did an all over color plus highlights. I originally passed by because I saw the specials banner outside of the door. I noticed it was only Monday through Thursday only, but the lady went and asked the owner, I'm assuming is Ashley, and they were able to give me a discount. They were able to lighten my hair without damaging it which is nice because I have a lot I'd bleach in my hair already. The only reason why I knocked off a star is because of time. My husband I were Christmas shopping and were on a time crunch. He asked them how long it would take... I said at least 4-5 hours and the lady assured my it would be 2. I hesitated...I've gotten my hair done at plenty of places and I know this is stretching it. We decided to stay and I just have to say, my whole evening was gone. I got my hair cut by Ashley a few weeks ago, and have waited before writing a review to see whether the cut would eventually prove to be a good one. It has not. While I'm grateful that Ashley was able to cut my hair to the length I requested, even with an electric shaver, there wasn't any significant styling of the hair around my face. Instead, it was barely trimmed or not cut at all, and still looked like it needed to be cut after I left the salon. I didn't ask for it to be cut while I was there, because I did not want it to be cut with an electric shaver. read more

Ashley has been taking care of me for upwards of three years now! I typically only need scissor cuts (I'm a guy) - so can't really speak about the more in depth services. HOWEVER, even from the first visit Ashley got a great sense of my hair - I've never received anything less than an incredible cut. Came in with my sister because I saw a huge sign with prices stating $15 for a wash and style and $7 for eyebrow threading. The lady washing my hair did a horrible job washing and then added so much product to my hair that at the end of it, it looked like it needed to be washed again. My sister ended up having a huge bald spot from her threading and when it came to checking out the women who washed my hair said $45 for me and $10 for my sister. I mention the huge sign that was by the entrance and she said "fine don't pay then" and walked away. Then a lady who I'm assuming was the owner said that the signs prices were not good for today and that if we didn't pay security would be called. Awesome hair salon! They are very experienced with different types of hair and styles. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I had glue build-up on my lash extensions which is bad for my real lashes, so wanted to get the extensions removed and let my lashes recover (I could see a few were shorter-broken off). This place is close to where I live and I called earlier in the day and they said $15 to do the removal which was less than Amazing Lash Studio. I went in and waited for the lady to finish someone's haircut. She greeted my and seemed nice. So she has me sit in the chair and tried to suggest that I get a refill and my brows done, but I told her hat I just wanted the removal. I see her grab baby oil. I told her that I've tried baby oil in the past, but it doesn't work; the glue is too strong. She tells me she uses something else too, so I figure it's the similar to what Amazing Lash uses to loosen the glue. I then realize that she's applying vaseline and baby oil then "massaging" my lashes. It was painful. Felt like she was just using her fingernails to try to break up the glue and a LOT of pulling. This went on for it must have been 15 mins. She keeps saying that she's being gentle to save my real lashes. I have tattoos and I'm telling you this was painful. I wanted to tap out not just because of the pain, but it also seemed like she was making slow progress. At the end she uses what felt like cotton balls or pads and a rough paper towel to wipe off the gunk. Then asks me to open my eyes. I requested a baby wipe because I was fearful when I opened my eyes it would get in them. Pretty sure she gave me a lysol wipe. I ran to the restroom to flush with cold water because my eyes were blurry and hurting. Had stringy pieces of the cotton in my eyes too. They were so puffy and I'm left with about 10-15 real lashes per eye!!! They're still puffy and sore hours later. Don't go here for lashes or anything else based on these other reviews. Basically my lashes were plucked out. I felt so ugly going home to my fiancé. read more

Would like to give 0 stars!!! There is a reason NO One is in this place!!! Went in w picture, of what I WANTED. When the end color was nothing like the picture. She argued that it was. After much arguing she recolored but was very upset and pulled and yanked my hair making me want to cry. Dye all over face and looks horrible. Practically ran from salon w wet hair and sadness. If I could give this place no stars I would. They completely ruined my mother's hair. My mother is 74 and wanted a trim. The lady who acted like the owner would not listen and spoke broken English. Her hair cut was uneven and literally they cut off enough hair that my mother has cried since her hair cut yesterday. I met her back at the salon to pay and while my mom there was in tears they charged me 30 instead of 25 that they said they were going to. They also charged me 30 twice which after I realized I went back and they claim they refunded one 30 dollar charge however I haven't seen the credit - the lady asked for a tip which of course I stated she will be lucky if I don't cancel the charges completely. They are rude and verbally abusive to the elderly and others - they should be closed down. read more

Don't go here unless your planning on spending $300 for terrible disrespectful service that takes an eternity. My mother recommended this salon to me because she had a great experience, she got her hair cut, colored, and styled all for around $75. This was the worst experience I have had at a hair salon ever. I called the day before to schedule an appointment for full highlights, cut, and style. Usually they open at 10 but Ashley told me I could come at 9:30 because I was suppose to be at a lunch (for my birthday) between 11 and 12. I showed up at 9:25, the doors were open and her son greeted me confused as to why I was there. I told him I had an appointment and he quickly called his mom to find out where she was. She apparently forgot she had set up the appointment. Not a big deal, people forget things, nobody is perfect. She didn't show up until 10:45 (the salon opens at 10.) She apologized for being so late but she "just wanted to sleep in today and forgot about my appointment." I asked if she was sure she could finish my hair in time for me to be at lunch by 12. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem and asked me to brush out my hair while she went to the back for 15 more minutes. Two and a half hours later, after I was in tears from her pulling out half of my hair after I had repeatedly told her I was very tender headed she had finally finished washing my hair. I told her I didn't have time for her to cut my hair I was already very late for my birthday lunch and told her to just dry and straighten it. She dried it without styling it at all repeating how great it looked (even kissed me on the cheek..wtf?) I finally got to check out at 1:15, she went to wait on a new customer so her son checked me out. TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DOLLARS!!! $280 for full highlights and terrible service after waiting a hour for her to show up to an appointment SHE SCHEDULED because she "wanted to just sleep that morning." I could (and from now on will) go to Toni and guy and get my hair highlighted cut and styled for less than $280 and be out in less time than it took her to do my hair not to mention having a headache from her yanking on my hair for three hours. Needless to say I will never be going back, neither will my mother, and she will not get a recommendation from me. I also missed my birthday lunch because the place I was going closed at 2:00 and although she assured me she could get everything done in time she didn't even finish my highlights before 12:45. read more

Do not go here. I downloaded the Yelp app just so I could write how terrible this place is. I went to location at Willow Bend Mall. First I had to wait forever for anyone to greet me. It was the owner and I explained I wanted my highlights to look natural NOT chunky. My cut and highlight took in total three hours she kept stopping and helping other customers in between -she needs I hire help it was the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. She answered her cell phone constantly and the her daughter in law arrived who she evidently let's help out except a HUGE problem that lady does not know how to do hair and I would guarantee she doesn't have her license. Then later her son arrives and he starts working on my hair... She kept telling my how good my hair looked but it does not look good in fact to the OPPOSITE of what I asked for the highlights are horrible and my whole head is basically blonde when I was very specific in saying I wanted my natural brown hair to be the focus. This lady an her family are insane. I went back the day after to have my hair fixed and was told she wasn't here due to a death in the family which fine I understand that but they don't have anyone there who could even fix my hair! Why have a hair salon if nobody at the place can fix hair. This place should be ashamed and it was a complete waste of my money. I M a very nice and patient person but I am beyond pissed. I beg you do NOT go here. I will now have to pay someone else even more money fix her mess! read more
