She was the listing agent for a house my family rented over the summer in Brigantine NJ. A million dollar nightmare, filthy, unkept, broken AC, flooded garage, no furniture on decks to enjoy the ocean views, food debris under stove, and on kitchen counters, moldy bathrooms, broken pool lights, no chlorine or pool supplies, broken appliances, broken wine fridge, and the list goes on and on. (I've attached some pictures below for your entertainment)This was just day 1! We rented for 3 weeks. After an electrical fire on day 2, and an evacuation at midnight by the fire department.....Maria told our realtor that the owner was reimbursing us $3K for all the issues, and unkept, Un- maintained house so we wouldn't leave. Well it's nearly October, and Maria has failed to reimburse us what she promised, she only sent half of the amount to our realtor and refused to send the remainder, because "it was word of mouth" and our realtor denied a showing on a Saturday during our vacation. So this was our punishment!?? Let Me add... this was during the Covid-19 pandemic when the governor was only allowing a 10 people gathering outdoors, and we had a pregnant lady renting with us. Why would a realtor even assume that she could do a showing? And nowhere in the lease agreement did it say "must allow showings" in fact when we rented it back before the pandemic, it wasn't even on the market! Cough up the 1500 you owe us Maria. Our realtor has made several attempts to obtain the money, and her exact words have been... since you denied my showing, I gave you what's fair" WOW!
