This visit was my chance to tell them how "active" Emory has been. She's runs around the house doing laps at 3:30 am!! I never had to buy calming chews for my other 3 girls. Emory definitely needs them!! Dr. Malone reminded me that she's just a puppy with a lot of energy. A little too much energy for Mommy when the hasn't gone off yet. Emory received 2 vaccinations. Dr. Malone said that she would be a little bit sore. She sure was. Especially when I took her out of her carrier. She slept most of the day. I gave her the follow up medication she gave me the next day. Emory showed no signs, problems or symptoms of any kind after her vaccinations or the follow up medication. At Emory's last visit she weighed 2.6 pounds. A month and a half later, at almost 4 months. She weighs 5 pounds!! Holy Cannoli!! I had to pick my jaw up off of the floor!! The breeder was wrong when he said that she would only get to be 4 pounds. I'm so incredibly happy with the care that Emory gets from everyone at Rochelle Veterinary Hospital. I wouldn't take or trust my fur babies with anyone else.

I called Malta Vet today to inquire about services, and unfortunately the experience was very…read moredisappointing. Each time I have spoken with the front desk representative, the interactions have come across as rude and dismissive. Simple questions are answered with attitude, as though customers are inconveniencing the staff just by calling. During this most recent call, I was actually hung up on after addressing the representative's behavior. When I called back, I spoke with the manager, "Lizzy," and asked who her supervisor was. She replied that it was "the only doctor we have here." It was the tone and delivery of comments like that which reflect the ongoing issue with customer service at this office, the responses consistently feel snarky and unprofessional. Over time, this type of treatment gets old, especially for paying customers who are simply trying to get information or care for their pets. On top of that, the office itself had a noticeable urine smell during my visit. I hope Dr. Augustine takes a serious look at the customer service experience being provided at Malta Vet and makes improvements. Professionalism and respectful communication matter.

He "treated" our goat for ringworm, and when it wasn't getting better, and I called the office to get another appointment, the assistant said she'd call back -- and never did. So I called again -- and same deal. She said she'd call back, and never did. You'd almost think they weren't running a business that relied on customers and good customer service! Oh wait ... And when I called to get our animals records, to give to our new vet who was responsive and helpful from word go, the office at first said they'd send them, then they didn't. When I called again, they only sent partial records. I don't want to have to make multiple calls to follow up on simple requests that should be executed with ease as part of a basic job description. I've got enough to do without micromanaging people who aren't doing their jobs. Go somewhere else!!!!
