The bakery (which is all we saw) was amazing with a fantastic variety of baked items for every taste. There was a good selection of coffee varieties and fortunately for me as a non coffee drinker, soft drinks. Back to my scone. I got the pineapple coconut flavor. The scone was unbelievably light and bursting with flavor. I only wish I had room for two or even three. We also got a salted caramel cookie which was just as fantastic. Of course Meijer doesn't sell these cakes and I'm not a professional baker but if I were I would certainly try to accommodate my customers if I didn't carry something they needed. Long story semi short... you can't SELL a cake board and plastic cover to a customer who is making something you don't? Really? First off way to fail at customer service! Second, I HATE Walmart but at least I can buy a plastic/cardboard cake plate from them!! Update: Meijer contacted me and apologized for this encounter. They stated normally they would not sell their supplies but in certain cases a team lead should be consulted. He stated in this case they would have sold me one cake board and dome. I really appreciate that they did this and they also stated they would bring this up with the staff working that day to clarify. In either case, I still made this girls cake and it turned out great!

Without a moment of hesitation, we can say that this is a great store. There are two primary drivers to that evaluation. The first is the store itself. The store is new, and is very well maintained. It is well-arranged, and reflects all of the layout improvements that Meijer is working to implement at other locations. Most importantly, the store is always clean. The second factor in our evaluation is that the employees are great. They greet us, and treat us as welcome guests. I have had employees walk me to other locations in the store to find items we were seeking. They are very helpful at the check-out area, and quickly provide assistance when needed.

It is often very busy especially during summer months and so the prices tend to stay about the same. Staff is always friendly. When ever I've gone in there they go out of their way to help you and make sure that you feel like you're part of their family. They have a wonderful little deli in the store now and offer great baked goods some that you can't find at other stores.
