What started as a positive experience turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences we've ever had with a youth sports program. My children genuinely enjoyed attending classes here, and we initially believed we had found a gym that cared about its athletes and families. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism proved otherwise. Shortly after joining, my daughter was repeatedly told by her coach that she was on the competition team, would be competing soon, and should expect to start preparing. As a parent, I immediately began asking for information regarding costs, schedules, commitments, and expectations. For TWO MONTHS, I sent emails, made phone calls, and followed up repeatedly. Every single time, I was brushed off with vague responses like, "We'll get that information to you soon." Meanwhile, my daughter's coach continued building excitement and reinforcing the idea that she was already on the team. No one seemed concerned about the fact that a child was being led to believe something that had not even been finalized. To make matters worse, my children travel out of state regularly to see their father, making advance scheduling absolutely critical. ASI was aware of this. They knew we needed information to coordinate custody schedules, family obligations, and finances. Yet they still failed to provide even the most basic details. After months of chasing answers, I finally learned that team selections hadn't even been finalized despite my daughter being told repeatedly that she was already on the team. When I expressed my frustration and requested that someone speak with my daughter and apologize for getting her hopes up, there was zero accountability. No ownership. No acknowledgment that they had handled the situation poorly. Eventually, I was given cost information--an additional $100 per month, hundreds of dollars in uniforms, competition expenses, and other commitments. The cost itself was never the issue. Competitive sports are expensive. The issue was being strung along for months while my daughter's expectations were built up based on information that should never have been communicated to her in the first place. I was promised a follow-up email with all competition details so I could discuss everything with my children's father and my fiancé. That email never came. Three weeks later, I was still waiting. What is most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been avoided with basic communication and accountability. Instead, I was left constantly chasing answers, forced into the position of disappointing my daughter, and treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. My son has autism and absolutely loved attending classes here, which makes this decision even more heartbreaking. However, the way this situation was handled made it impossible for us to continue supporting this gym. If you're looking for a program that communicates with families, keeps parents informed, and takes responsibility when mistakes are made, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The emotional impact on my daughter and the frustration this caused our family were completely unnecessary. We left not because of costs, schedules, or competition requirements. We left because of the incompetence, lack of communication, and complete refusal to take accountability. I would not recommend this gym to any parent. read more

We just went to a birthday party here. Gym was nice and clean. Birthday party room was clean and I like that they have the cubbyholes for shoes, etc. They are big to fit a lot in just one. Staff is great here, I've taken my girls to parents night out here numerous times and they've loved it and the staff and the staff them. At some point, I was walking my oldest daughter to the bathroom because she had had an accident, and I noticed all of the coaches watching a little kid sing Taylor Swift songs with the microphone, smiling and cheering her on, and wasn't until I came out of the bathroom I noticed that kid was my littlest. My kids have also been to Mesquite location but they prefer this one by far. read more

After 4 YEARS, I have had enough and let me tell you why. Many of us parents decided to get our kids off the couch and into something more healthy and fun. That is how it all started. ASI is an amazing place FOR LITTLE KIDS. My daughter started in bronze and then finally getting a test for the girls' team. I thought this was strange as I have never seen "professional coaching". I always have felt it was more a fun thing. My daughter loved parents night out and the other activities and we would at times spend up to $65 in extra activities, bringing my out of pocket expense around $145 (4 hours coaching 16 hours fun), well worth it. As my daughter did get older she would complain that other kids weren't taking it seriously but was never focused on them. THEN 1 DAY a "coach" approaches and ask if I would like her to try out for the team and we were like great. My daughter has been talking about it for months now as the "coaches". Well, the day came and when she was tested and they said she was ready, GREAT! THEN $$$$$ At that point we were paying monthly $80 and now team is $176 + material. OMG how did we go from $80 to $176 and the coaching hours went to 4 to 8? Now I am asking myself really what is the point of this business. It's not about bettering the kids is a scheme to get the parents to pay more. After visiting another local GYM and seeing the other kids. OMG, ASI is like Little GYM compared to what is out there. In conclusion, if your daughter loves gymnastics like my daughter then go somewhere else. It is like night and day and the skill level the kids have. Went here for a birthday party on a Saturday. Kids had a blast. I guess the classes were just in the morning because we had the whole place to ourselves. All the instructors were super fun with all the kids even my 22 month old son who was all over the place. By the end Of the party my 8 y/o wanted to attend classes. read more

We've attended numerous birthday parties here and my son and his friends always have a great time. The service and experience is consistently the same. When it was our turn to have a birthday party, my son chose ASI. They contacted me prior to the party to confirm the headcount and answer any questions I had. The day of, I spoke to the coaches about activities my son had not enjoyed at other parties and they were happy to modify the activities to include his favorites. My son enjoyed the parties so much that we enrolled him in a class. He adores Coach Manny. The coaches are very patient with the class of preschoolers. I've watched them encourage kids who were afraid, correct kids with their technique, and also take kids who were disruptive and aggressive back to their parents. I appreciate the safe environment they make for the kids. We have been extremely pleased with every staff interaction we've had and the entire ASI experience. We highly recommend it. read more

Extremely upset by my and my child's experience at the Firewheel location. My child came in excited for camp and left upset and traumatized. She was bullied and some of the kids were screaming obscenities toward her. She refuses to come back. I tried calling the office to request a refund for the days she will no longer be attending (as my husband and I will have to take off work now) and was sent to 4 different people who refused any sort of refund and mainly offered excuses. Don't get me wrong, my child has been to different forms of daycare (YMCA, etc.) and while she didn't enjoy them, she's never come home like this. It's a great thing for them to offer free day camp for those affected by the tornado but honestly even if it was free, I wouldn't send my child there. While the class and instructions / instructors are good, the place reeks of dirty socks and dingy bare foot smell. The carpet or whatever is covering the floor is VERY OLD and abused. It needs to be immediately changed. With over 800 members and an average of $80/student in fees, overhauling the floor covering should be easy fit for their pocket, unless it's run by greedy honchos. I wish the classes were more goal oriented and structured. During the lessons, while the teachers teach a particular move, all the other kids are left on their own and told to do their moves which they don't ( while I am paying for that empty time) = Five years old, can't focus alone on a specific exercise if there are no teacher watching them closely . My son has been going there for 8 months now but can't not even do a cartwheel, or a forward roll properly, same for the other kids. So disappointing since it seems to be the way many individual sports are thought in this country. Not everybody can afford private lessons. Wish things were more structured and aiming less toward money but more toward goals, like they do in Europe. Is there a structured gymnastic place somewhere?!!!.... read more

My 2 year old and 4 year old daughters both attend classes here at the same time (different classes) and they LOVE it. Very convenient If you have more than one child. The entire staff is nice and friendly. Coach Jasmine and coach Michelle are the BEST. We love them. They are nice, friendly and very patient with the kids. I did the free trial class and then used the Groupon for the first month. Very easy to change/drop classes if you're not satisfied with the class. Monday's seem to be busy, hectic and just overwhelming for my girls, so I switched them over to a different day. read more

One of the worst experiences me and the kids have ever had. The coaches don't seem to have any interest or enthusiasm in their job at all. The I noticed some kid physically bullying another kid there. And MY KIDS got in trouble for it. I WAS WATCHING! I went over there and tried to straighten things out for them. But the coaches didn't seem to care about anything I HAD TO SAY ABOUT IT. Later my kids built a fort together out of some of the foam blocks from the block pit they had. Then another kid came in and demolished it RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COACH. The coach had mentioned earlier that if a kid ruins something another kid had built out of the foam blocks, that kid had to apologize and help them rebuild it. But the coach on duty completely DISREGARDED said rule and let them get away with it. I went straight over and demanded I see the manager, but apparently he was "busy" with something "important" and didn't have any time to talk to me. What a rip off! NEVER going here again. Not a place for serious gymnast. The coaches are kids that make $9.00. They don't take the time to groom a athlete that could possibly be great. My daughter was on the team and after not seeing in progress on the side of the gym I researched other places. After taking her to a trial class another gym offered to train her 2 levels higher then what asi was keeping her at. My friends daughter one level higher. read more

Our 9 year old has been taking classes for three years and she loves it. The instructors are extremely friendly and the classes and make-ups are easy to schedule. My only issue is that it would be great it if the classes were kept under six students per instructor. read more

This gym is an excellent gym to go to. The kids have fun in it and can learn how to do so much. Their birthday parties are also fun.
