I usually would go to the bigger store for most of my Asian groceries but decided to come here again. I find their veggies offering fresher and definitely cleaner than bigger stores. Some items however cost slightly more while some are slightly cheaper. I do wish they sell cleaned whole fish since I'm terrible at it. The snacks are definitely cheaper and as of Sunday Feb 26th, whole frozen durian was at 4.99/lb. read more

Asian grocery might be a small store but it has plethora of Asian goodies inside. From live blue crabs, fresh fish, fresh fruits and veggies too. Asian condiments and canned goods are aplenty. Asia Grocery is smaller than other Asian markets but the store does carry enough produce, frozen foods, bakery and snacks. The aisles are a little tight so that more groceries are included. It's great that they staff 3 cashiers to make the line go faster read more

Small family Asian market. They have a nice selection of international foods, spices and meats. Not a very large vegetable selection though.

It's been a few years since I last reviewed Asia Grocery. The new ownership and management installed a few years ago have made some improvements. I've been shopping here for about 25 years now and hadn't seen much change in all that time. It had been allowed to deteriorate a little over the years but since new ownership took over it has been cleaned up and well maintained. Inventory, prices, organization, etc... are basically the same as before. The biggest difference is in the attitude of the staff which is now decidedly more friendly and approachable. If you have a question they are happy to provide answers. The current health pandemic caused Asia Grocery to close for a few months. My wife and I certainly missed them and are very happy they are again open for business. Like most Asian markets in this part of the 757, Asia Grocery has a wide variety of products crammed into a small space with crowded aisles. If you are pushing a shopping cart don't expect to be able to pass another customer with a cart in an aisle because most of the aisles are just too narrow. The aisles are considerably wider and easier to navigate on the side of the store where they sell fresh produce, fresh and frozen fish and seafood, frozen meats and many other frozen items. The fresh produce selection is decent and quality is good. The fresh fish and seafood is kept on ice and always of good quality. They have good prices on live blue crabs, much lower than at local seafood markets. Freezer boxes always appear to be in good working order keeping their huge selection of a great variety of frozen products ready to purchase. Anyone for durian? You can get it here, both the whole fruit or just the tasty flesh. Canned, bottled and dry goods are very plentiful with a very wide selection of products from China, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Korea and more. A wide selection of rice in bulk or smaller bags is plentiful and they have a huge selection of noodles. In addition to grocery items they carry a good supply of pots and pans, rice cookers, dishes, incense and other household items. Overall, Asia Grocery is a pretty decent place to shop. Prices are competitive across the board. Some prices are lower than their competitors, some are higher, most are about the same. They carry some items I can't find elsewhere and seem to have most everything my wife and I look for when shopping for Asian groceries. The store is located in the Hunter's Mill Shoppes which is a small shopping center with a common parking lot which affords ample parking for Asia Grocery and the other stores in the shopping center. The parking lot is generally free of trash and debris. They are open seven days a week which makes it pretty convenient. read more

While not as large as Emart, this store sure came through in a clutch with hard to find gems! The store was clean and organized. The ladies at the register were quick and helpful too! Definitely a better option than Four Seasons. We'll be shopping here from now on. read more

I filled my entire grocery cart and then some and it only cost $150. The store was clean with a massive selection of items. The staff was polite and spoke many different languages which was helpful! I will definitely be returning here. Grateful to find an Asian market with such a variety. Also try the fresh custard buns. Fantastic. Ate one entirely before I even left the parking lot. read more

This grocery store deserves a much better rating than what it is with 3 stars. Even though the store is small it has a bit of everything. The produce section might be small but they're fresh. A compact oriental grocery store but has pretty much everything you need in SE Asian cooking! There is a variety of dried goods, frozen foods as well as fresh vegetables and seafoods! The only bummer is they don't accept Amex cards! Otherwise I'd shop more here. Now I only come here for fresh fish/clams/etc and veggies or when I'm in a bind. read more

Teeny tiny place. Old place, a little shabby and not much has changed over the years. Usually has almost everything my parents need to cook at home. Been going here since I was a kid. ...Guilty, I come here for the snacks. They have their baked goods/ready to eat food in the front across the registers on this little shelf. Stock changes daily. I've come in various times and always find something to grab for my drive. They always have Pan De Sal, Obe/Coconut bread. I like to get Hopia, palitaw, puto, sapin sapin, if it's in stock. Every once in a while they'll have Banh Cuon (vietnamese steamed rice rolls w/ meat) I never pass on these if they have it. The main lady at the registers always talks loud, don't be alarmed or offended if she talks to you, it's her voice, haha. I've gotten use to it over the years, she always remembers my family and I when we come in. read more

Awww man, as soon as you enter this place you are hit by a funky smell! It will almost knock you off your feet! That's a huge turn off for me, but my daughter insists on coming here. It is not my favorite Asian grocery, but for some reason my daughter swears they have snacks that the other shops we've visited don't have. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ She's huge on seaweed chips, kim chi chips, pocki cookies, mango candy, and she likes those anchovies crisps on top of her ramen soup. If my daughter were doing this review, she'd give this place 4 stars. I'm only giving it two due the smell, the cramped size of the place, and the not-so-welcoming service. We are NEVER greeted when we come here. NEVER. I wouldn't return to this place on that alone, but again... my daughter... As a tip to management, please consider doing something about the odor and be more willing to greet ALL of your customers when they enter your business. Be welcoming. Be friendly. Offer assistance. Nothing irritates me more than to feel unwelcome and receive ugly stares by staff members. On 7/28/15, we walked in, the cashier looked directly at me with a funky look on her face and said nothing. There was another staff member stacking breads near the entrance who also looked at me and turned back around to continue what she was doing. HOW RUDE! I'm here to purchase items from your place of business and the least you could do is say hello. My daughter ran ahead to her favorite aisle while I rolled my eyes and proceeded towards the back to check out the rice noodles and ramen. Once we picked out our items and made it to the front counter to pay, the cashier said nothing to us. She just grabbed our items and proceeded to ring them up. When she handed me the change, she didn't even look at me, however, I swear I heard a whispered thank you. At least I hope I did. Geeesh! This last visit I had really turned me off. Been here several times. Small Asian grocery. Fantastic prices on dried goods,ie, Vietnames coffee and Korean barbecue sauce has the lowest prices I have encountered in all Asian stores. On the downside: Store is a little dirty. The vegetables are not always fresh looking. Not the best place for fresh produce. read more

Even though small for its size, it still have a lot of items you would find at a south east oriental market. They don't have a hot deli or butcher area, but it has basic items that other Asian markets may not have. read more

Most products are priced cheaper here than others. But it's so dirty. The aisles are so small. One time I saw one of the owners trapped some mice. I actually heard she told the worker to cover the dead mouse quickly. I ran!!!! read more

This store has a nice selection of some things I can't find elsewhere. However today I got home and found the dates have been removed from several items I bought. Based on this I don't feel that I can trust this market and would encourage anyone to check the dates on their items before buying. read more
