This is my go to supermarket for my Asian and Caribbean supplies. They're now carrying so many more Vietnamese foods and that and boba supplies. Got me a big ginger root for some rolls I plan on making tonight and stocked up on my sauces and varying sauces for future preparations. Love seeing my friend there whom I thought her nephew said had retired, but she loves seeing people coming by to stock up on Asian products. Lin & Ociel gave me the Mega royal treatment at this wonderful market. They were both incredibly kind & helpful, even going so far as to give me a seat, hand selecting the freshest produce & offering me water & a yuzu soda to try. With a large selection of vegan friendly items I was in heaven. The fresh produce, herbs & dry goods made grocery shopping a breeze. Add the selection of teas & coffees & there is little left for wanting. I recommend the red ginseng tea. I noticed a positive effect to my health, especially my circulation. The recommendations for a few items such as vegan oyster sauce, vegan pho bouillon & bamboo tree rice vermicelli are all fantastic. I will most certainly be a regular at this location & am happy it exists in this area. read more

Hard to find any Asian grocery store in this area so I was happy to find this one. This store is small but neatly arranged, clean and the staff is professional and friendly. The store is right off Hwy 1, nestled in a plaza with other shops including a Pho restaurant. Free parking but the lot gets pretty full depending on the time and day. Prices are clearly marked on items. I was happy that the store stocked Bò Viên meat beef balls (with and without tendon) and fresh vermicelli noodles that I needed for my pho recipe. I was not able to find the beef meatballs at another Asian market down the street so I was pleasantly surprised. They also had fish meatballs. The prices are a bit high, but acceptable given the limited supply in this area for Vietnamese food items. The store accepts cash and credit cards. read more

This small market has been around forever, but unlike other Asian markets that slowly go downhill (like PK on Sunset and Lucky on Bird) the owners here continue to care and maintain the place, so the coolers are cold, the lights are bright, and the shelves clean and tidy. I almost always see someone packing fresh vegetables in the back, and the owner is very pleasant. One time I mentioned a product that I haven't seen for a while and he literally took note and said he'd try to get it in again. All these make shopping here a pleasure. Some special items I usually shop here for: Green papaya - They have shredded green papaya. Not always, but whenever I see them in the veg cooler I grab them to make green papaya salad. Saves me the work of finding an unripe papaya and shredding it. Vegetarian meat - Their selection is larger than other Asian stores of its size. Veg brisket, steak, lamb, codfish, salmon, shrimp, chicken, duck, meatball, fishball... I try not to eat too much of these, they are vegetarian but they are processed, but it's fun to explore the variety. Herbs - As this is a Vietnamese store, you'll find basil, culantro, cilantro, chili pepper, and all the other ingredients such as pho bullion, sprouts, fish sauce and noodles to make an authentic bowl of pho. Durian - they have frozen durian in the freezer by the entrance. If you haven't tried this notorious fruit, get it here and see if you belong to the love it or hate it camp. : ) read more

They had a good variety of Asian ingredients. There wasn't as many fresh herbs as I would have liked. But there are plenty of canned and frozen products to make most dishes. Sadly, the guy who was stocking the products was accosted by the owner for putting the incorrect price tags on some products. The owner was not very nice to him and even threatened to dock his pay on lost profit on those products if he did it again. Overall, it ruined our shopping experience. I would rather shop somewhere where the employees are treated kindly. I thought whoever made the canned coconut milk displays did a great job. read more

This asian market is very convenient & very organized. The owner greets you once you come in, as you stroll thru the isles you will see a great variety of products, noodles, bottled sauces, dried stuff, candies, curry, vegetables. Vegetables are fresh, this is the only place that I have found vietnamese Basil!!! They have a variety of herbs. You will find lots of items here, staff is very friendly and willing to help. They sell awesome dessert! They have Taro Tapioca with Coconut Milk, Banana with Coconut Milk and Black Eyed Peas with Sticky Rice. I just moved here and I am use to having huge Vietnamese markets around me coming from Orange County. That is why, I am so glad that there is a local Vietnamese market. As I drove into the plaza, I noticed that this is a semi Vietnamese plaza with Pho Thang and Vietnamese nail salon close by. I went to Asia market today because I was in desperate need of the Vinacafe Vietnamese coffee mix to wake me up in the mornings and lo and behold they have it here as well as other Vietnamese coffee mixes. As I went in, I was greeted by the owner as well as their customer, apparently he goes there quite often. The place is small, but it is very organized, clean and has your Vietnamese essentials. They have all the sauces such as fish sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce etc. What I was really happy about was that they also have soup mixes so I can make the lazy version of pho, bun bo hue, bun rieu. They had some vegetables that such as thai basil and other Asian herbs you cannot find in publix. I went on a Sunday and they also have a tropical fruit such as Rambutan, dragon fruit etc. They were all decently priced. I would come here again because it is close by to get my Vietnamese food necessities. read more

Great variety of Asian products. Everything from rice to fish sauce to vermicelli, even household products like cheese graters. Located next to Pho Thang, it's definitely a place to visit while in the area. I found some Tom Kha, Green Curry, Red Curry sauce and Mackerel in curry sauce there, as well as black tea flavored with lychee, all of which I purchased. Their prices are not bad either, and everyone in the store is friendly. I brought a big bottle of fish sauce home as well. I noticed they have jack fruit ice cream, which is delicious. Unfortunately, because I had to visit some folks due to the new year festivities, I could not buy some, but I definitely plan to do so next time I am in the area and headed straight home! I got a free 2012 calendar which was a nice touch :) If you're looking for Asian accessories for your home, then visit China City, but for Asian groceries, I have yet to find such a fully-stocked grocery store as this one. read more

I go to this place to get fresh asian veggies that you don't find in Publix. I am West Indian and I love chow mein (lo mein noodles) I buy them from here. The store is sometimes packed in the afternoon. Their hours are from 9am-7pm. You might want to call just to make sure they are open if you plan on going and do not live in the area. They carry a wide variety of asian groceries, tons of rice noodles to choose from, my favorite garlic chili paste, curries, Shoa Sheng cooking wine, Sriracha hot chili sauce and Marukan seasoned rice vinegar are just a few items. The store is clean and organized there aren't things packed way up to the ceiling that might fall on you if you sneeze hard enough. I love it! Happy shopping. read more

i am a BIG fan of Asian fare and this place has a lot to offer.. it's a decent-sized location, not huge, but big enough to carry some fresh produce, frozen foods, teas, dishes & teaware, hot sauces & oils, oodles of noodles, and everything needed to make a kick-butt Asian feast! I've become quite a fan of this place... I use to go to another market on US1 that has 4 isles you can barely get into and things are stacked up high! Asia Market is just the opposite. The store is large and isles are neat and organized. The selection of items are great, the have fresh produce and they have a good selection of cooking utensils and dinnerware. Another BIG plus for me is they accept your EBT card, which I haven't seen many ethnic markets do. I always stop in here after eating pho next door to really complete my asian experience. This market is run by Vietnamese, but they carry products from all asian countries. When you come here make sure you check the fruit selection by the front counter. They always have a new selection up there of tropical and asian fruits like lychees or sapote depending on the season. Prices here are pretty reasonable and the employees are super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth stopping by no matter what type of asian goods you are looking for. read more

Very good market. They have everything in the dry or canned spice and ingredients department, but you should check the fresh produce area. Some are rare and better quality, but above all, even for common vegetables available at Publix and other supermarkets, they tend to be fresher and cheaper. On weekends they have a box with fresh fruit - seasonal. They stock other ethnic foods, like Jamaican. Probably not related, but I also visit the Vietnamese Pho Tang (next door) which is simple and very good. These two make the neighborhood a more interesting place. read more

Asia Market is the only place where I have been able to find the fresh herbs required for Vietnamese recipes. They do not have all the herbs at all times, since they are seasonal, and they offered to call me when the herbs are available. I have purchased from at least 4 asian markets in Miami, and this will be my source from now on. It is clean and well organized; no clutter in the aisles. The woman at the counter was able to answer many questions about Vietnamese cooking. If you are looking specifically for Vietnamese ingredients, this store sells them. read more
