Asia has gone downhill massively in the last year or so. What was once a glitzy, thriving pan-Asian restaurant now looks a little scruffy, serves average food, and is empty most evenings. We ate at Asia last week and were left unimpressed. Worse still, three of us had stomach upsets the following morning which lasted at least 24 hours. They seem to be cutting corners everywhere you look. Even the hand soap in the toilets had been watered-down, presumably to make it go further. Horrible!!! No rice a a sushi restaurant. Our group sat down, ordered drinks then tried to ordered sushi and they said they couldn't make us sushi because someone else ordered too much sushi and they were out of rice. Horrid! read more

A nice Asian restaurant, Asia. We were having trouble finding decent food in Playa Blanca. On this evening we decided to try the Asian restaurant with the chandelier, it seemed to popular whenever we passed it. It was so nice we went back a second time. We had crispy duck on the first visit, which was shredded on the table in front of us. For a main I had the crispy chicken with sweet & sour sauce. It was so nice, I had it the second night. They have free WiFi, which the nice staff will give you the password for if you ask. They had Magners cider, which was also nice, they seemed to have gotten a good batch (Magners can be hit or miss). The staff were very attentive and friendly. We were offered substantial portions of the complimentary drink. We had Baileys. Their facilities were very clean also. Like Clive says, it'd probably be a four star review back home, but for Playa Blanca five stars all the way. read more

The food is really mediocre at best. I have no idea how it compares to other restaurants in Playa Blanca as we were only there for the day, but they did not really use any fresh herbs or spices and I was not exactly happy with my Thai Curry. I guess it really depends on what you are used to, but this restaurant does not serve 5 star food. It was lacking in flavor, finesse, ingredients were mediocre, the place looks super tacky (though that seems to be true for all restaurants over there) and the entire experience was just off. Whilst in Playa Blanca we very rarely had a really good meal. The food is ok, but pretty simple and generally just ok. Asia was the only exception to this really. It was reasonable priced, the food delicious and the services brilliant. Add to that a great view over the bay its truly a great place to eat. We actually went here twice as we liked it so much and was a bit fed up of the average food in the area. I guess if this was in Dublin i'd have probably given it 4 stars, but compared to the other restaurants in the area its definitely 5 stars! We had lots of different dishes and they were all pretty nice. My favorite was the Thai red curry. They have Chinese, Japanese and Thai food here. If you in the area try it. I know its not Spanish food but to be honest most of the places are not serving Spanish food and they are not great either! read more

I see that there are no current reviews for this place so here we go! The hubs and I ate here because most of the food in and around the Playa Blanca area is crap and this place had pretty good Tripadvisor reviews. Well, this place was "meh" at best. Dumplings - ugh. Tempura was weirdly breaded. The gyoza was good. We also got the pork bun - that was Oh-Kay. The soy sauce was off. Not sure why. It was super thick. Sangria (I know - who orders this at a Chinese restaurant...I do! We're in Spain!). Hope this helps!! Not sure if it does. But, it feels good to get it off my chest. Yay for sushi !!! Lovely food and service also great view from the terrace seating area. They also have great cocktails !

Just the best.... For Chinese...sushi...teyyaki....dim sum ...great children's menu It's in just the best location with a small safe beach where children can play... The food here is impeccable l spend allot of time here and see so many returns year after year...just the best dishes and the staff are a credit to the owners Always happy read more

We were searching for a good Asian restaurant we had read about on Tripadvisor (New Oriental Asiatico, which, by the way, turned out to be lovely), and asked the lady outside this restaurant if she knows where it is or if this was it and they had just changed the name. She then proceeded to try to convince us that this is the same place and invited us to a table. It turns out the New Oriental Asiatico is two shops next to it. In short: They tried to scam us. This is as low as it gets for a restaurant, I still can't believe they lied to our face like this. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more
