When a noodle soup comes out that quickly, there's no way it was made fresh. The vegetables tasted like they were frozen and then just added to some canned broth and heated up. The décor is quite odd. Doesn't really feel like it should be a Vietnamese noodle shop. At first I thought it was nice; very light and airy, clean, interesting artwork. Well, when you're facing the 'lighted' artwork, you begin to wish for sunnies...at night. It's just too bright and too white. And the service. Ouch. It was busy the night I went, on a Friday night. But as the restaurant is clearing out, and the line waiting for tables is gone, I couldn't get anybody's attention for a long time. We got our food quickly, but were never again offered refills of drinks, or anything else. I had to flag down (after multiple tries) someone working across the restaurant who just happened to look my way, to get a refill on my water. I know it may sound weird but the food here tastes really 'fresh'. I find a lot of Asian food to be quite oily but the meals here are cooked really well and taste well... 'healthy'. Anything from stirfrys to curries to tofu, the place is popular amongst the locals and you will be back for me. The funniest thing i have seen, at a few occasions when we have been here, there has been a birthday surprise that's come out and the birthday person in question gets a plate with a banana standing up with two scope of ice-cream beside the banana with a giant sparkler coming out of the top of the banana.... Now i will let you use your imagination to figure out what that resembles. Tran Tran is one of the finest restaurants on the strip with amazing cuisine, great waitstaff, and prompt service.

The sauce on the chicken was delicious and sweet, and was offset well with the rice. The salad and mash was well thought out, and also assisted on cutting through the sweetness of the sauce. My last two visits, I have got the Bento but with Kara age Chicken. The chicken is delicious and is sprinkled with some Japanese spice. Ask for some Japanese mayo on the side, and deep these fried little chicken bites in it, and for under 10 bucks, you have yourself a delicious lunch.

They prepare these in fabulous hot stone bowls and are absolutely delicious. They adjust to your likes if any ingredient doesn't suit you. Another highly recommended food is their sushi! It is delicious. I love the sushi rolls aren't excessive with rice, they are made with a decent layer of it and different ingredients. They offer nice combinations including some spicy ones which are my favourites. Walk in, and you see a little Asian man running the shop by himself. My boyfriend asked him if he had any breakfast foods, and the man sheepishly apologised and said they didn't have much besides sandwiches. My boyfriend then ordered a burger. To make up for the fact that my boyfriend couldn't get exactly what he wanted, we saw the man PILE on chips on the plate. And I mean it was a mountain where you had to walk slowly so the chips don't fall off - I've never seen such a generous portion in my life! Fast forward to us happily eating our meals - a man walks in and starts looking at the newspapers on the counter. There is too much batter, the seafood does not pack a punch, the chips aren't that addictive and overall there is no warm fuzzy feeling like you've had a good feed. The service is good and the backyard a nice spot to eat but the food really is lacking. I'd rather go to an old school fish and chip shop that has more flavoursome food at much more inexpensive prices.

The chips are done 'gourmet' style with whisperings of sweet potato sprinkled on top, and comes on a plate - not wrapped in today's newspaper. Plus, bottled beer is available.
