Heather was the person who greeted me and explained the whole process to me, she is very knowledgeable and intuitive . Heather removed all my knots and tension by the time I got up from the bed She is very intuitive knew exactly the amount of pressure needed. I do not remember the last time I was so relaxed I am here on vacation but will definitely have another session with Heather before the end of this year! Another note is that when you walk into this establishment it is all about caring and ensuring you leave 100% better than when you walked in, just read their mission statement Thank you Gretchen the owner and thank you Heather for all of the above Sincerely Charlotte

My boyfriend and I were referred to Lin, the massage therapist, from our innkeeper at Inn Magnolia…read more We were wanting to get some good R & R while away from our weekend get away and that's exactly what we got! Lin is a professionally licensed therapist, and her diplomas decorate the walls in the massage room she used for us. Although we unfortunately couldn't schedule a same-time massage couples session, Lin DID try to arrange it for us, but no such luck. Just for the effort involved, I was pleased! Don't be fooled where the entrance is! It's to the left side of the building! I actually ended up calling Lin because I was that much of a space cadet. She was patient and met us at the front lobby. Since chivalry isn't dead, my babe let me indulge in my session first! Lin even showed us a heated floor yoga room that she invited him to meditate in while I was away; super awesome! Don't be shy! Go to the closet and grab a mat and be one with your breath! The massage: It was nothing short of AMAZING! She is incredibly skilled and worked my troublesome back and tight neck. The hour flew by, like it always does, and Lin was very in-sync as to whether she was applying too much or too little pressure. Be sure to speak up - she encourages it! We would definitely come back in a heartbeat to visit this lovely peaceful haven in this quiet town! CHECK this woman OUT!!!

She combines many techniques (I don't know the names of all the styles), definitely deep enough to be therapeutic and solve nasty muscular aches and pains but she also does yummy feel-good relaxation stuff so that you leave the place feeling all floppy and happy. It is not just her technique that does it tho' -- Lin is the most warm, good hearted person you will ever meet and I always look forward to going back. She runs the center with a huge heart and amazing positive energy. I've also attended Margi Green's terrific Relax and Lengthen class, which is a hybrid of her own creative design and a great experience. The center offers all kinds of other services as well, and many community-oriented events, some of which I've attended. The place is always warm and welcoming (and Lin keeps the place in great condition. Her gardens and beautiful too!); I totally recommend checking it out.

Oh Yeah! I have been…read morea client of Sara for a few years now. I try to treat myself to a few massages a year. My most recent massage was this past Sunday and was, as always, a totally relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Later that night, my head felt extremely clear, my skin felt clean and moisturized and I slept so sound that night. Sara is VERY generous with her massages. Her approach always has my achey muscles' best interest in mind. She finds my problem spots, educates me on what is happening and why these spots could be a problem. I have never felt rushed, and appreciate the time and care she puts into her work. The space at Ganesha is beyond perfect. The large window that looks out to the Atlantic Ocean is an idilic backdrop to an amazing experience. I highly recommend Sara to all my friends. She even complimented my feet as having a lot of muscle, who knew!?

If I could give this business negative 5 stars I would…read more When I planned a trip with my friend to go to Rockport last summer I booked my Massage and Tarot Card Reading before I even booked the hotel. Because those are two things I enjoy doing on vacation. I was thrilled to find a business like Ganesha that had Yoga and Massage and Readings all in one place. I booked appointments for myself and my friend directly with the Massage Therapist and Tarot Reader over a month in advance and was really looking forward to this part of the trip. On the day of our arrival in Rockport less than a few hours before our appointment time Mary Ellen the Tarot Reader called to tell me that she had to work unexpectedly at her other job. She said I could come to the private residence that she did what I assumed to be some type of care taking or home health aid work. I was not comfortable going to the home of someone I don't know(and I also found it strange that when I originally booked with her and requested that she come to our hotel she told me she only did readings at Ganesha and didn't travel - yet she wanted me to travel to her) so I told her that was not an option. We rescheduled for later in the weekend instead which wasn't going to work well for me but I really wanted to fit in a reading. After dinner we ended up passing a store front place for readings and when I found out they had availability at the time I had originally booked with MaryEllen - I called MaryEllen to cancel and went to this business instead and was VERY PLEASED with them. I wish I got their name - but they have a small store front right across from the Greenery Restaurant. As if my Tarot Reading experience wasn't bad enough - the next day I anxiously arrived for my massage. My friend went first. I was paying because it was a belated birthday present. We were just going to have 1/2 hour massages (originally booked an hour each but had called in the morning to ask if we could do 1/2 each instead due to time constraints and budget and Sara was very flexible in making an exception for us) but when my friend went in for her massage the 30 minutes went by very quickly, then 45, then it was an hour. Sara had forgotten that it was supposed to be a 30 minute massage rather than 60 minutes. So I was a little annoyed that we'd be shorter on time than planned and I'd be spending more than I hoped - but figured it was fine and I'd just remind her when I went in to stick to the 30 minutes for me. When my friend was done - Sara opened the door and let me in when my friend was in the changing room. She was tidying up the room and I expected that she'd be changing the sheets while we chatted and waited for my friend to go outside and wait. But she didn't change the sheets - instead she started to adjust them and straighten them out and said to me "do you mind if I use the same sheets for you?" I thought she was joking. I myself am a massage therapist. This is a HUGE NO NO. Not only does it tell me that she doesn't care enough about her clients to use a nice clean set of fresh sheets for each customer - but she hasn't the first clue about SAFE PRACTICE!!!! Oil is a vector and can transmit disease. You learn that the first day of massage school. When I told her this she told me that she was concerned about the environment and that she always asks people who come together to share sheets. I explained to her how wrong this was and she told me that she asks people first if they have any diseases. Not sure if she also consults MaryEllen the psychic when it comes to such matters since often people with Swine Flu or other health conditions can walk around for days before they show signs of illness. She told me that she would use a fresh set of sheets since I insist - but I told her that I couldn't even get a massage from her because she even asked me that question. If she cut corners there - where else did she not use safe practice considerations. Plus I know that I'd still be heated about it during the 30 minutes that I'd be trying to relax. I thanked her anyway restated one more time that if the board of health knew what she was doing they'd shut her down - and I left. My friend's experience was great. She enjoyed her massage throughly and you might too - just make sure you see her put a fresh set of sheets on for you if you go with a friend.
