For the food, I will rate this restaurant a 5. I ordered bang-silos: fried rice topped with over easy egg and seasoned fish, pansit, halo-halo and lumpia or egg rolls. Everything was delicious! Authentically Filipino! The prices are cheap and very affordable. For the lack of air conditioner I will have to rate the restaurant a 4. They have fans going on, but with the heat during that time, I cannot enjoy my food. Solid 3.5 stars. Its almost the same as the resto about 100 meters away. 80% of menu is same, although this has more pseudo Chinese food than the other. The Chinese here is more of the sweet and sour pork Westernized Chinese food, no real Chinese person would eat here. The real STAR of this show in the Filipino food. Silogs are legit, Sinigang is just right and Sisig on sizzling platter with raw egg really brings it home. Best Filipino food I've had anywhere (although I admit I've only had Filipino food a handful of times). The sisig was fantastic. Great flavor. We also had the lechon, which was pretty good. The bbq pork, basically satay, was OK. It was a little too sweet for me, but my wife really enjoyed it. We had a great dinner at this Filipino restaurant which is about a 15 min walk from the train station but well worth a visit if you fancy authenticity. It's a relatively small place with no outdoor seating. It doesn't serve wine or liquor just beer, soda, bottled tea and water. We ordered the "daily specials" which were Pork adobo, Siopao, Dinakdakan and the Sautéed Mixed vegetables (from the menu). I had a bottle of San Miguel pale Pilsen beer but didn't care for it. The food was fantastic because they made it for the Filipino palate. They didn't sell out by flavoring it for the Italian's taste buds and God bless them for that. read more

My boyfriend and I are from the United States. We came to Rome for a few days and our hotel is down the street from this restaurant. My boyfriend is Filipino and I am Hispanic but I always pass for a Filipina. Anyways we came here because we were craving Filipino food so we found this restaurant. We went in and the man there was talking so another man and didn't acknowledge us so we sat ourselves. We say there and after 8 minutes the man looked at us and said "yes" my boyfriend politely asked for a menu and the man pointed at these panflit on the counter. My boyfriend got up and grabbed two then sat back down. So we looked at the menu and decided what we wanted then the man asked if we were ready and my boyfriend had to walk back up to the counter and tell the man what we wanted. First thing he ordered is Sisig. And the man says "uhh we don't have sisig" in guess they're out. Then I asked for diniguan and he says they only make it on sundays which would've been nice to know or at least listed on the menu. So we ordered rice with "toppings" you could pick either beef, pork or chicken. I ordered beef and my boyfriend ordered pork. We also got an order of pacit and two orders of limpia which we had to ask the man to put meat in because the menu only said "veggie lumps" then we ordered a bowl of Sinigan So we sat back down after ordering and our food starts to come out. First was the rice with toppings which was basically white rice with deep fried pork or beef and chopped bell peppers covered in a bland sweet and sour sauce. The meat was bartered and deep fried and not cooked all the way so I was mushy more than crunchy.. then the lump is came out and it was good. Then the sinigan came and it was pretty good but the pork had so much fat on it, it was kind of gross.. then the pan it and it was bland and had too much pepper. So we are sitting eating our food and a family comes in, they were Filipino, and they order, I hear them say Sisig and the man says something but I didn't hear. About ten minutes later, the man brings out Sisig to that table. So he lied to us when we asked but gladly brought it out to this other table. I was so angry and I felt bad because my boyfriend was looking forward to having Sisig.. I think that was he only reason we went honestly.. maybe the man didn't like us because we spoke English. Maybe he though we were dumb foreigners. I don't know. Overall I'm disappointed in the hospitality and the unequal treatment of this place.. it you don't speak Tagolic, don't go to this place.. I was in Rome for about three weeks and I literally got tired of having pasta and bread. I wanted rice god damn it. I'm Canadian but born Filipino and eating rice for every meal is like normal for me. For under EUR10, you get a pretty decent meal. The flavours are not as Filipino and authentic as I want it, but it does the trick. Lumpia with adobo and rice Sisig and Tapsilog all to myself. I went here twice during my stay and I am so happy that I did. There are reviewers below me that say that the food is subpar, fatty, and what not. But what the fuck do you expect? You paid under EUR10 for your meal. Calm down. PS. After this cheap hefty meal, a block away from this restaurant is a convenience store/cafe that sells HALO HALO. If you're Filipino, girl, go get some of that HALO HALO with pistachio ice cream! read more

I agree with previous reviews - if you want a home cooked Filipino meal during your visit in Rome, this is the closest it'll get. I had the fish sinigang, which was okay. I didn't really enjoy the fish but I enjoyed the soup of it, as well as the vegetables in it. It's big enough for two people, but it's half the fish. I unfortunately had only the head basically. I also ordered lechon kewali and it was bomb lol. My boyfriend had the sisig but he's very picky with it and he didn't like it. My mom had the beef kaldareta and she loved it. I, too, had some and I loved it better than what I got haha. The service was okay. I've met nicer Filipinos in other parts of Italy. After the train delay, we decided to have some comfort food in the area nearby the hotel. We had a simple yet great dinner at Asian Delight. We ordered a canton style fried noodles and beef marni which is beef noodles with soup. The owner is so patient and taking the time walking us through the menu. He offered us with a small bowl of soup to start with and food didn't take long to come. The owner checked with us every now and then if we need anything. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Europe and after a week of pasta/pizza, we were ready for some good ole' Filipino food. This place was conveniently located near our hotel so we decided to check it out after a long day of sightseeing and my GOSH were we impressed. They have all the typical Filipino dishes you'd expect (lumpia, adobo, sinigang) and more. The food was flavorful and reminded me of my moms cooking at home which is exactly what we needed. We ended up coming back 3 more times during our time in Rome. The people are also very friendly. They speak English, Tagalog, and Italian so they can truly cater to any guest/tourist that comes in. Nothing special. However my friend got the daily special; this consisted of a "salad" (a handful of cabbage), a heaping pile of white rice and beef. During breakfast and lunch we ate the local fare, but for dinner we wanted something heavy and filling and something thats very much home cook Filipino food.
