Well, here we are, visiting in Mebane, NC, and we stumble upon this surprisingly diverse Asian restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Nobody in the place except us. Nice and quiet. Wondering if it's any good. We order a bunch of Bento Boxes. Everything is delicious, and artistically presented. Service is superb, attentive, courteous. A large drink is spilled by our friend. It is cleaned up immediately and efficiently. We continue. Sushi is average, nothing to write home about, but the salads and their dressings and the main courses are flavorful, plentiful, and include a variety of Asian influences: Thai, Japanese, and Chinese; hence: "FUSION". We will return. You should try this place. It's a cut above the average Asian place--especially for Alamance county. read more

Giving this 4 stars because the service is beyond fantastic!! Just note that they give big plates of food, so it is best not to over order. The sushi was pretty good, but the prices here are a little high. The pad thai had too much fish sauce for my personal taste, and the noodle texture was a bit off, so wouldn't really recommend that dish. Even though the food was just okay, the service was probably the best I have received in a casual dining restaurant in America. I'm struggling with the stars here.... the folks working here are so friendly and helpful. However on our first trip here recently for takeout, the food was just ok. Chicken fried rice - plentiful, tender chicken, just a *lot* of onions.... which, by the way they are happy to substitute/customize per your request. I just wasn't expecting so many onions. I did customize a sushi roll & they were happy to oblige. The other sushi roll I got came with smoked salmon, but the menu indicated it was "regular" salmon. :( The salmon nigiri was awesome. All in all it was a mixed bag. We would definitely give it another try. read more

Unassuming from the outside, a lot of people miss out on this spot. The lunch bento box is a great deal with quality food. Red Oak Amber Ale on tap is another treat as well. One of my favorite places in Mebane if not my number one spot. read more

Should you need things, like tea or sodas refills or even chop sticks for your sushi, her response will be to flag someone else down for help- she's too busy. I chose this favorite of mine (obvi if you read my last post- it's typically pretty amazing) for a family birthday dinner celebration & was mortified to host such a terrible experience for my loved ones. Food was on point as always (I'd steer clear of the calamari, except since our server couldn't attend to us it may have sat in the window awhile as it came out after we asked for it once our meals arrived) but it was a first that the service was so terrible, which was hard to swallow - pun intended. read more

Maybe we ordered the wrong things but the Massaman curry was more like a soup... flavor was ok... some of the chicken pieces were a little 'off' tasting. Her sweet & sour chicken was 'ok'. Serving sizes were very generous but we didn't bother to take the leftovers home... we wouldn't have eaten them. The overall feeling was not bad enough to send back but not good enough to go back for. Perhaps the menu is too big ... it is hard to do so many dishes and do them all well. Perhaps it was an off night. The service was 'odd' as well. Down home friendly but not prompt or attentive just friendly. And the waitress spilled a tray of soy sauce on my tablemate's lap. She apologized but made no offer to pay cleaning bill (it was on jeans that did wash clean so no big deal). I love that Asian Harbor is here, a mere 15 minute drive from our home in Hillsborough where there is no Asian food worth having as of 2018. Deceptively plain-fronted in a mall right next to a Food Lion, Asian Harbor is peaceful and clean inside, sporting comfortable booths, tasteful decoration, pleasant music, and an excellent staff that is well-trained and efficient. T The selection of sushi and rolls is very nice, with some of their own inventions. North Carolina beers, saki, and fun drinks like bubble tea are available, along with the usual iced and sweet tea and average bar beverages. The crockery is nice, and while this may not matter to you, I really love it when a restaurant brings me the right glass for my beer and pretty, stylish, modern white dishes and plates. A word about the curry -- the Massaman is very nice, could be a bit hotter -- but tasty! Love their shrimp, their broiled scallops, and the tofu they use in the curry is nice and dense. A very nice miso soup. The hostess and the waitresses were neat, professional, very pretty, and the owner (also a lovely woman) came over to check that we were satisfied. Even the mints that come with your receipt are high-quality, a nice butter mint in an individual wrapping. For this area, which is poor in quality Asian offerings, Asian Harbor is really a jewel and we are so glad to have it nearby. They are open Christmas Day, by the way. read more

I was in the area and located this place on a whim. Wow!!!! This place is awesome!! It is in a shopping center near a food lion but don't let that deterrent you not stopping here. Plenty of parking! Once entering, I was blown away at how nice this place was, it's upscale inside. I was greeted promptly and seated. Plenty of seating. Even a small bar up front to serve you drinks and a sushi bar. Very nice decor inside!! Menu has excellent selection of options to eat. Prices are just right, everything is reasonably priced. I decided on a Shrimp Tempura Sushi Roll which was perfect!! Very tasty! I also got Hibachi Steak with rice and soup. It was outstanding! They also give you an appetizer with crunchy wonton with white sauce as dip. It was good. My waitress was top notch and didn't miss a beat! I am about an hour or so away from this place but I could see myself driving here to just eat at this place again...and again!!! Best sushi ever! One of my favorites are called historic downtown. The hibachi is yummy. You can choose scallop, steak, chicken, etc. Tons of choices, tons of variety. Really awesome find. There is an absent of Asian cuisine in the Burlington area other than standard Chinese and a few Japanese places. The best original place in Burlington is the Korean place, Mixed Rice. But for Thai and Vietnamese food, you don't have any options. My wife and I were tired of going to Greensboro, we wanted to something new, so we found Asian Harbor on yelp. We were amazed when we got here. Their menu had every type of Asian food, Chinese, Japanese, Thai and more. We were greeted at the door and sat down, they gave us come Asian style crackers and white sauce to chew on. My wife had pad Thai and I had a bento box meal. It was great! They had a kids menu which was chicken tenders and fries which was good for our little one and they gave her free ice cream! It's a very friendly environment. So we sat down and received out drinks. They also brought out croutons and white sauce. THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS THAT THERE WAS A BUG CRAWLING IN THE CROUTONS (ant). The waitress apologized and gave us a new batch that I didn't eat. My mood was pretty much killed from that point. My wife had the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered a Three Roll Combo: Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, and Spicy Crabmeat. Everything was fantastic, and this was easily the most COVID friendly takeout experience that I've ever had at a restaurant. The pricing was excellent and the Pad Thai was far more than my wife could finish. One thing I would note is that you should serve the Pad Thai into another container to ensure that you have a good distribution of the sauce. Omg our food came out a dish at a time and took so long my husband was ready to box it up and go home once his came. It must have been an hour or almost since we first ordered. My Tom khan soup was extremely spicy, not like anywhere I've had it before. I couldn't eat it and I can take a decent level of heat! I am not a big complainer but I feel so frustrated I had to do something. Update in regards to the owners comment below. You did not address how terribly long we had to wait for our food. Also the Tom kha soup is described on the menu as mild. I did tell the waiter it was too hot to eat. He apologized but did not offer any remedy. You may want to check your recipe.
