I walked into this establishment with high expectations, only to be disappointed the moment I sat down. The technician who did my nails was easily the rudest person I've encountered in this industry. When I explained how I wanted my nails, he essentially ignored me. From start to finish, the experience was terrible. I asked for an overlay on my natural nails, but he immediately reached for the clippers to cut them. I had to repeat that I wanted an overlay and a square‑round shape. He rolled his eyes, picked up his phone, and carried on a conversation. When he came back, it was obvious he had very little experience with the drill--the pressure he used was completely unacceptable. Then I noticed he was applying acrylic starting at the tip of my nail and working backward, doing this twice per nail. When I asked whether my nails would be even, he acted like I was asking too much and muttered, "yeah, sure." When he began filing, it was obvious the nails were uneven, and the shape was oval instead of the square‑round shape I had specifically requested. I finally took the emery board myself to show him what I meant. He told me--multiple times--that there were plenty of other salons I could go to and that I didn't have to come back. Despite everything, I let him finish because it felt too late to walk out. He repeated at least three more times that I could go elsewhere, including when I paid him $60 for what was essentially a $7-quality job. Considering all four salons in this city have ratings between 2 and 3 stars, I told him he would never see another dime from me. Do NOT go here. The customer service is awful! If I had the option to give negative 10 stars I would! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!! read more

Was visiting from out of town and decided to come and get my nails done. Waited an hour past my appointment time to get seen. The nail tech was upset when I refused to do the gel polish instead of my usual regular nail polish. I was cut twice! My nails are absolutely awful. I decided to get a red color and he didn't even take the time to wipe off the excess polish around my nail!!! I was overcharged and it was not a clean environment. We are fairly new to this area/state. I have come to this salon about 5 times now, wanting to try different nail techs and give them a fair chance. It has been pretty consistent that they aren't very good at what they do or they just don't give a shit. Gel manicures should not start lifting after the first day. I'm literally here right now and it has taken less than 5 minutes for the guy to file my nails, cut the cuticles, and do the massage on my feet and legs. He is already painting my nails. FIVE minutes.... and he wants to charge me $40.... If I could give zero stars, I would. After getting settled and all moved in in Alamogordo, I ventured out for a pedicure and a manicure. This establishment is the closest to my house and I figured it would be wonderful to have my nail salon 3 minutes away for my bi weekly visits. I walked in on a Thursday morning, was asked what service I needed and tried to sign in on the sheet. They told me to have a seat. I look around and feel like I've gone back in time. It's dark, dank and dirty. Still I wait for about ten minutes. I see a female worker finishing a pedicure and took the opportunity to watch how they clean after pedicures. She took the used towels out of the bowl. She grabbed a kitchen sponge from the pedicure drawer and ran water and wiped the bowl in a circle three times. Oh. My. Goodness. No soap, no chemicals, no nothing! She came and got me and told me to have a seat at that same chair and started running water. I asked her was she finished cleaning. She didn't take very well to my questioning her sanitation procedures and walked off and spoke to a male. In the meantime I look inside the bowl and it is indeed dirty with caked on grime. He then came to me and said they have an appointment they cannot do my nails. I said Sir, you are being dishonest. There were two other technicians not with customers and no one was waiting behind me....he finally went on to say that the female felt uncomfortable doing my nails because I asked her was she finished cleaning. I had a word with him about their practices, walked out and went to Art Nails where I had a great service. read more

THIS PLACE IS UNHYGIENIC!!!! The tech nicked my cuticle and I started bleeding. I bled the entire time he was doing my manicure! He kept trying to paint over the cut as if to stop the bleeding. In case you don't understand; he was dipping the brush in and out of the polish and attempting to paint my nail WHILE I WAS ACTIVELY BLEEDING. I will never be going back there. ** updated: 6/29/2018: unfortunately just a few days after our pedicure my nail polish has already chipped off. This is highly unusual for me as I have had other pedicures that last for nearly a month. My mom's still looks really good, so that is the main reason why I haven't gone down to 2 stars.** Me and my mom went in for her 1st pedicure. It was a very quiet day, with little customers. We were seated right away, and began our treatment. Our nail techs were very nice and made my mom's 1st experience pleasant. When we were done we were told to just wait in the chairs since there were no other customers to allow our feet to dry. This would be the only negative thing I could say: when we were told to wait, it was okay at 1st. Then business began to pick up, and our techs obviously went to other customers. We waited awhile, and had to ask if we could go. Sorta felt like we were forgotten. Regardless we would go back to this place again. I was hurt and cut by a different, local nail salon and was very apprehensive about them cutting my nails. They listened to my request and didn't cut my nails, and was very gentle. I just moved to Alamogordo and went to another salon and had a pedicure and dip nails, it was terrible. So I needed to find another place. I saw a ladies nails while out shopping and asked where she had them done and she said Asian Nails. I talked my husband into his first pedicure every and we went in and it was fantastic! Most awful experience DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE THERE! I called and schedule an appointment 1hr later was finally seen. My Pedi was done with the same nail tools as the lady next to me.. When getting my manicure she went from my toes to my hands with out washing her hands. I asked for a ombré which was done correctly but I enjoy designs and jewels and when I asked for the request they told me no to busy! The restrooms were very dirty the chairs were not comfortable. $77 dollars for basic mani and full set of nails expensive and dirty! read more

Me and my aunt went to get our nails done at Asian nails. We went in and got seated right away. There was only one lady working there. She didn't say hi or anything. She said "what do you need". We asked if they did gel. We picked our colors. A man walked in and started doing my nails without saying anything. His nail were really dirty and long. He started doing my cuticle which his nails. Over the phone they assured me my pedicure would include a foot massage. Then right before she began I asked again if I was getting one. She said yes. She walked away without giving me one. I asked the guy there and he said it was extra. I showed him how on their pedicure description it includes one. She then said "she would come back to me" since she already started on someone else. Took my daughter and her friend here to get manicures for my daughter's birthday. We made an appointment, a few days earlier, but when we came in they were super busy and when I told them we had an appointment they just looked at each other not sure what to do. They told us to wait until a seat opened up. We stood around for 15 mins before they seated the girls and then it was only one guy trying to do both manicures in between another customer's nails. The guy doing their nails seemed rushed, kinda upset and annoyed. He was not friendly at all and the whole appt was uncomfortable. When the guy finished he didn't even tell us he was done nor check us out!! If you want to come here it looks like it best to get one of the lady employees to do your nails and go in when they are not busy. I'm certainly not coming back. The only place in Alamogordo that I trust do do my nails! They always do great designs and are perfectionists to make sure it's right! On top of that, they're always friendly and happy to see you when you walk in the door. I've been to other salons in town that have cut my fingers all up and that has never happened here! Staff was very friendly & pedicure was VERY relaxing, you could hardly realize they were touching your feet!! They paid attention to detail in the polish.
