I went here because someone said they were good. If I could give them 0 stars I would. The woman who did my nails couldn't get off her phone long enough to actually pay attention to me. The file in the high power drill thing was so hot from her being on her phone that we had to switch it out and let the machine cool down. Then she kept watching TV and not paying attention, my nails are thick and she also put the wrong color on. When I asked her to change it she was mad and started talking to her partner in what I believe was Vietnamese, and then when she was done she got up and walked away and wouldn't even check me out!! I had been going to Art nails for years because it is where my mom went, probably since middle school. They always did a good job until this last time. I did both a fill on my nails and pedicure. The pedicure took ages to finish, and unfortunately, the lady did not do a good job. Moving onto my manicure I showed a picture of what exactly I wanted and it did not match in anyway of what I showed. I was very unhappy. To finish it off, for a basic pedicure and a fill on my nail it was $120 and I used a credit card so it was a $10 extra charge which was insane in my opinion no offense but it is 2024 and I may speak for myself, but the younger generation does not carry cash This extra charge on the card was ridiculous. Normally I do my own nails so I am very picky about where I go when I do actually go to a shop. Im staying in Alamogordo with my boyfriend for the summer and didn't pack any of my nail stuff so once my toes started looking crazy, it was time. We also needed to get out of the house so we both went in for pedicures. There are way too many shops here with bad reviews. I don't understand why there are so many nail shops but no target..but thats a different rant. This place was the only one with promising positive reviews but don't get me wrong, they had their list of negatives too. When we pulled up, we couldn't tell if they were open. The door had a box covering it and it was very dark. When we walked in, it looked packed but our wait wasn't long at all and they were able to seat us together. Im from California where everything is expensive, especially beauty, but when I tell you these prices were ridiculous! A standard pedi was pretty cheap but that didn't include the nail cleaning and scrubbing so we had to get the European which was $37 and men cost more -_-. They don't even get color! The lady was really nice and made good conversation, she could even tell I wasn't from there. I told her to cut my nails down as low as possible but it was like she was scared. I had to have her go back over several and they're still a little too long. The scrub and massage was basic, no hot stones, no wax..I don't understand why it was $37. When she painted them, I got a little worried because she got some on my skin. But she went back through with the acetone brush and cleaned it up. I use to do that when I was in middle school so I judged her skill a bit. Some of my nails were filed crooked as well and I didn't notice till we got home. They don't have fans or toe dryers so you have to get home with safe feet by the grace of God. Playing on the TV was some depressing "help kids" informercial that lasted my whole stay so I didn't have anything to watch. While we were there, an older gentlemen came in to get his toes done and I can feel a weird feeling from the nail techs. It was like no one wanted to help him. He waited for a very long time and the lady who cut them, made a face that I hope only I caught. Also-bring cash because I paid $5 more for using my debit card. No one carries cash anymore and when you're paying almost $80, you should really expect someone to use a debit card and not be penalized. Overall, it got us out of the house and I can bare to look at my feet. But I don't think we will be going there again. I'll drive to El Paso if need be. Sorry Alamogordo. read more

Listen to the reviews and go somewhere else!!! I went to this salon last minute before a trip because everywhere else was busy and I wish I wouldn't have. I asked for four different colors that they were all out of, the color they finally brought over looked close enough. The brush that was in the polish was completely caked with dried polish so the guy doing my pedicure used another brush from a different bottle and just wiped the excess off of the second brush of a different color on his gloves and then continued the pedicure without gloves. When I say it was the worst quality gel polish I've ever had, it's not over exaggerating. I didn't know it was possible for gel to be lumpy and a completely different color after sitting under the light. The tools were just grabbed off of a cart in the corner and definitely weren't sanitized in between visits or after I left. There is polish all over the outsides of my toes and there are black specs in the polish itself. Listen to the reviews and trust your gut! read more

I called to see if they do eyelash extensions and if they have individual lashes without the knots or the three in one that are joined in the end. I also asked if they have mink hair other then the fake polyester fake hair that irritates my skin. The Vietnamese lady answered and said yes and that they charge $125 for a full set. I drove and went inside to see if it was the individual. The lady that picked up the phone was the one that showed me the individual lashes with the three fibers joined in one, she refused to show me the individual strands and then on top of that decided to tell me my lashes are thin and that I need to get the three in one with attitude. I decided to FaceTime my best friend that's also Vietnamese and showed her the lashes that the lady that owns the shop was showing me. My best friend was telling me that the lady was talking garbage in Vietnamese and pretty much saying this girl is either getting the lashes or not to her other co-worker!!!! Extremely rude, lack of professionalism and would not trust these females touching my face! Ladies and gents don't waste your time going to this place! I checked out two other salons, Good nails! I have been here a few times and recently went to another nail salon as I wasn't very satisfied with my nails appearance from Art nails. Typically I bring in a picture I found on the internet and ask what we can do to make my nails like the picture. This time, I did the same thing but was treated like I was a burden for asking for nails I wanted (&I was willing to pay for, of course). Today's experience put the final nail in the coffin. I will never come back to this nail salon. I asked for a pink, natural looking color with a thin metallic silver tip. I left the salon with silver glitter on my tips and messily strewn through my nails. The tips were done by hand with glitter paint; it looked uneven and messy. Like usual, I asked for the gel overlay and I paid for it (up charge for a manicure that drew blood and the silver tip)! $70 later, my nails looked like I let my kid sister do them. My technician was very distracted while she was doing my nails. Not only did she draw blood when doing the manicure, she almost cut off the pad of my thumb. I also had to ask her for rubbing alcohol to ensure I wouldn't get an infection from this salon. I left the salon very upset and had an appointment to make after getting my nails done. After paying $70 for my nails, I returned asking if my technician could fix them so they could be something I actually liked. She said she would, and well this was the end result... they look better but please note that she removed the gel I paid so much for, to replace it with gel polish. Had she offered to refund and properly charge me for the nails I now have, I would have told her to keep the difference for being nice enough to fix them and make the look professionally done. She didn't. Nonetheless, I have attached the picture of what I asked for and what I left with. Attend at your own risk! I've been coming here for the last 3yrs, they're not great but unfortunately there isn't much to choose from in this town. I really didn't have much concerns until I went a couple weeks ago. Well after my pedicure I was told I could sit in the back while my toes dried. Let's just say that's when my horror started, I saw the staff being the mani/pedi carts to the back and only get fresh towels, at no point did I see anyone clean or switch out the tools. Next thing I knew my nails were thinner than paper and practically see through. I went in there with thick strong nails. This place is terrible! Customer service is terrible. They don't ask and assume the know what you want. Sat here for 30 min with no water in my foot spa and no one was in here. Once she put water in, didn't add anything to my water and didn't give me an option to chose. The nail tech that did my friends nails acted as if he didn't want to do her feet or nails at all. This establishment does not take appointments. I walked in around 12:15 and was told to pick a nail color for my pedicure. No one said how long the wait would be. There were 3 people working. I sat there for 2 hours. There were about 6 people behind me waiting for services as well. After more people showed up, finally an employee start telling customers that there would be a two hour wait. If they had told me of the wait, I would have opted out and gone somewhere else. I usually don't complain or write reviews but I just had to after my experience here. I wanted to give my mom a relaxing day, since she was visiting me from out of state and this was her vacation, so we decided to get pedicures. This place seemed nice at first, a typical nail salon and everyone was nice. But when my mom was getting her pedicure done the nail tech cut her skin by her big toe and it bleed for the whole duration of the pedicure, it wasn't just a little blood, it was a constant flow. The girl apologized over and over and my Mom said it was fine, it didn't hurt much and she just wanted to get her nails painted. The bleeding stopped and the nail tech finished up. Unfortunately it ended up bleeding around the nail, ruining the pedicure anyway. We just wanted to leave so we paid, and I left a tip for mine. We didn't want to make a scene and complain but I'll for sure never go back. As for my nails, they were shaped weird and I had to refile them, and repaint because she didn't coat it properly and I could see my nail through the varnish. :/ read more

It was a disaster. I went to got eyelash extension there before Christmas. She cut a whole piece of fake eyelashes into 5 pieces and put them on my eyes. It looked horrible. I can buy that shit and put it on my eyes by myself I don't need to pay 9o for that. One of the whole big piece of eyelashes fell of after 2 days on Christmas 25th. I couldn't go back on 25 th because I had family I went back there to ask for refund and removing that horrible shit after Christmas. she refused to refund and yelled to me super loud and said that looking good one charges 150. She never let me to choose the price and material. She just put that cheap shit on my eyes and assumed that I couldn't afford and blamed me that my eyelashes didn't used to it so it fell off quick like in 2 days. read more

Took my daughter and granddaughter visiting from AZ. I knew it would be busy before a holiday. Waited 1.5 hrs to be seated. The nail price chart was not even close to my final bill. For a gel set, acrlyic set and just color on a 7 yr old it came to 120.00 without tip. Nothing special just one color on three sets, no tips, glitter or jewels. The young man could not explain the price structure, even an other client tryed to figure it out. I left disappointed, and won't go back to a place that can't explain their prices. I do like this salon, don't get me wrong. I think they do a decent job, but they are a bit overpriced. My grandmother got me a gift certificate for my birthday. I have tried to use it on 3 or 4 different occasions, waiting over an hour each time, only to get frustrated and leave. Today I went in five minutes before they opened and there was already ten people in front of me! They seem kind of disorganized because they don't know who came in before who. Which meant there was women that came in after me, getting helped before me. I just asked for an appointment later in the day and left. This is the worst place I have been. My nail tech decided to pick at her own toes whole giving me a pedicure. She would stop working on my feet so she could conversate with her coworkers. Finally she polished my toenails so fast that it looks like I let my granddaughters polish them. Very bad experience. It seemed as people were walking in they were rushing to get me out my chair. I've gone a couple times as a stand in when my lady at another place is out of town...I always end up leaving unhappy. The lady that runs it is somewhat rude. The man that gave me my pedicure was very nice but they have zero protocols that I can see for disinfection of the pedicure tools. He used a abrasive well worn porous styrofoam abrasive type block on my feet which didn't appear to be possible to clean this item. He didn't wear gloves. $60 for gel basic pedicure plus more for using your debit card I was charged $5 for using my debit card. None of the tools appear to have been cleaned and all are just tossed back into the cart.. won't be back. read more

This is my regular nail salon and while it is busy most of the (they're popular) they still do a great job every time. My nails always look nice, my pedicure always looks nice, and my waxing always goes great. If you're in a hurry don't go on the weekend cause it's packed (again, they're popular so they get busy). I'm from OOT. This was pretty much the only place open that did gel manicures. I was willing to ignore the reviews out of desperation; however, I ended up being pleasantly surprised.
