Really Nice Skilled Therapeutic Massage! Manin was my masseuse and she did an excellent job at giving a truly therapeutic massage with lots of care. I was feeling pretty sore after 26 miles of hiking the week prior and wanted to get a little recharge in to help my muscles feel better and I was not disappointed at all. She gave good attention to my legs which many masseuses seem to almost completely bypass to focus on the back. So glad she got into the business of legs! Massage here is $60 per hour and you get a private room with some light, relaxing ambient music. The room seemed clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean too! All in all this is now one of my top two in the phoenix area for a good massage. Located at the Big Red Asian Spa sign to the right of Los Favoritos Taco Shop and left of Thailicious. I had given them a five star review until I was leaving the parking lot and saw that I paid $60 plus tip for my massage at the sign in front says $49 special. Giving this place 1 star is way more than what they deserve. I called them in the morning to book a full Body massage for 4 people, they said they had availabity. I had confirmed with her 3 times before coming in. When we came they told us that they only had availabilty for 2 after driving here from Scottsdale. This place is horrible. Gave us total sex shop vibes. First we were told they don't serve men in an attempt to make us feel comfortable after noticing we were probably not gonna stay. Im from out of town. I love massages and I go twice a month, every month back home or anywhere every time I travel. Giving this place a 2 because my husband was fine with his massage. The lady I had, claims to be the owner, I usually don't leave negative reviews unless it was that bad. Firstly, the place was unsanitary, secondly, she massaged way too fast and just all over the place. I started with a 90 minutes, but her techniques was just so sloppy that I had cut it down to 60. I kept telling myself, just go with it and suck it up. Then finally, I got so pissed that I had to get up at less than 30 minutes, paid and left. I have never ever get up in the middle of a massage before. The final straw was when I asked to be cover up a bit (my body was totally exposed and I'm cold) usually people cover part of your body and massage as they go. Im like, "touch my hands, they're freezing". She said, "you're fine, you're not cold". I'm thinking wtf, I'm cold and how are you going to speak for me? That's it, I got up and said I will wait for my husband in the car. She went to told my husband and his masseuse "it's done, over.". Made him get up from his session! That is so unprofessional. I told her, I have lots of massages and that was not good. She said to me "but I make lots of money though". Smh Again, So unprofessional and sloppy! I was so upset with this "service" that we both decided to go to another massage place near our hotel and they were great. (Reflexology on rurals rd.) It's good massage. It's a bit too heavy on the draping for an Asian style massage but it's good. I had 3 different girls throughout melt massage. I didn't care for that. The first one was way too light but nice. This is a legitimate massage place. Not a rub and tug Place. So keep that in mind in case that's what you're looking for. No happy endings here! Just a nice solid massage and some good stone work. The one odd thing is there is a peephole on each room. Very odd. STAY AWAY! First of all, I am surprised how this place is rated so high - perhaps because there are not enough reviews. Anyways, I wanted to get a massage to fix my back that I injured couple of weeks back surfing. So I go to this Asian place, and this was the most "UNPROFESSIONAL" massage service I have ever got ( I have got quite a few massages in the past ). The lady, Sophia, would leave the massage room every 5 mins to attend other customers! If it's hard to believe that, listen to this - while she is massaging me, she was actually attending calls for other customers setting up new appointments!!! She even returned one customers call, and left a voicemail!! I felt like she did not give SHIT to her current appointment and just goes on to show how she was just busy getting more business!! TERRIBLE TERRBLE TERRIBLE customer service. And BTW, the little time she did massage, it was the worst massage ever- she was just rubbing oil and not working any muscles(in her defense,well it's kinda hard to do that when you have a phone in one hand- sorry my bad). At the end she eveb asked for a tip ,(I guess you ought to pay tips for getting treated horribly ) which I felt was the most undeserving tip I ever gave. Good massage. Very nice and clean. Polite and did a great job. It's an Asian massage, modesty folks should stay away. Ive had massages before and they walk around the table. This was very disappointing. We got there before the spa closed which is 10 on. I had to tell her she we wanted an hour massage. She said no 45 min, ok. I go in the room she massages my shoulders and said that's all she's going to massage because that's what's tense. That was about 20 min I then asked to massage my feet. She said what. She heard me, then she massages my feet for about 3min then left the room came back with some lotion. She put the lotion on my back with stones and left. Completely the WORST massage spa I've been to. *DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE* 1) My husband & I purchased an hour before we even got service. We were placed in the same room with only one employee bouncing back & fourth between us. 2) It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable at times I was trying to relax in peace & the employee decided to have a 20 minute conversation on the phone as I respectfully said " please I'm trying to mediate " & the employee disregarded what I said & continued her conversation. 3) i did not nor my husband receive a "full body massage" what their sign specifically states! 4) the OWNER & employee chased me to my car demanding an extra tip!!! I already paid $120 for very amateur service & to be chased down to my car is VERY unacceptable & not professional at all! 5) the owner is very corrupt & after she confronted me in my car why i didn't tip, I told her I wasn't happy with my service at all, and she didn't offer me anything or tried to make the situation better in anyway. I saw their late hours which works great with my schedule so I called ahead to see if they do pregnancy massage and they said, yes, no problem. I get there and they have no idea what to do since I clearly cannot lay flat on my stomach (other massage places I have been too have a pillow with a hole for your belly you lay on). After about 10mins of back and forth, they decided on an alternative where I lay on one of my sides the flip to the other side then lay on my back, which I was fine with. The owner/manager (or so it seemed), started my massage. I asked her for more pressure and she told me no, that I don't need it. She also left the room twice when someone came in the front door and left the room where I was naked under a sheet wide open. She answered the business phone once and her cell phone which was not on silent twice! Once she had me flip to my back side, she switched places with another woman/employee. This woman did have a better touch, however, did not speak English at all, she did have her cell phone on silent but was on vibrate which you could hear. She stopped to text a couple times and answered a call on speaker!!! I really could not believe what was happening. This was probably one of my least relaxing massages and I will not be returning, which is unfortunate because the location and hours would have been perfect. read more

I had a really amazing massage today at the Asian massage Spa. I should add that I have am a certified therapist so I have a lot of experience and have been to many massage salons over the valley. I can honestly say that the massage I received this morning was without doubt one of the most relaxing and soothing I have ever experienced. The girl who gave me my massage was highly skilled and and had a wonderful flow with a gentle intuitiveness and seemed to know exactly where I needed treatment. The movements around my meridian points she massaged on my face, ears and neck eased away all the tension of the week. The reflexology movements on the soles of my feet and toes was very comforting indeed I would say work highlights of the massage. I felt so relaxed that at times that I found myself almost falling asleep but I kept forcing myself to stay awake as I did not not want sleep and miss how wonderful the massage felt! The entire technique that this very skilled therapist used on me were completely unique and her very own style. There are a lot of people that study Massage but there are just a few that have the sensitivity and the intuition to know where a client needs treatment the most. As a complement to my treatment for the final five minutes she put on a sheet with hot stones on my back. I have not had Hot Stones as a final touch and it was a unique and delightful feature I bought a gift certificate to give to a friend who I will be bringing back here very shortly. I am l looking forward to my next massage at Asian Spa massage and I can only say that I don't think I'll be wanting to go anywhere else after such a wonderfully sensitive and experienced massage experience.
