On my last visit a year ago I went in 45 mins after opening for a 30-minute Swedish massage and was assigned to Adrina (not sure of the spelling), and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I've had. She appeared young and didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. I mentioned that my problem areas were my shoulders and legs, but she informed me she could only focus on my upper back unless I paid for an hour. This was surprising, as I've had full-body Swedish massages in 30 minutes before without an issue. Throughout the massage, her attitude seemed off, and she was rough with her technique. Her arms were felt scratchy against my skin, and she kept using her elbows, which hurt. Even after I told her it was uncomfortable, she didn't adjust. Swedish massages are supposed to be soft and relaxing, but this was anything but. She finished early, leaving the room at 11:21, so I didn't even get the full 30 mins I paid for. I got dressed and when she never returned so I went to the front desk at 11:27, only to see her kneeling on the floor casually chatting with the receptionist. I've always booked online and had decent experiences here, but this walk-in appointment was a complete disappointment. There was zero relaxation; I left feeling more tense and irritated than when I arrived. It's definitely not worth the $50 (with tip), and I won't be coming back. read more

Had the 90min combo Thai + "Deep Tissue " massage. The 30 mins of pressing didn't really do much, followed by elbows and forearms didn't do it for me. I was expecting some working through the muscles with "Hands" and pressure not just rubbing the top of the skin. Usually after a massage I can feel it, but this one nothing. Pleased that Thai Royal Massage can usually fit me within the same or next day. Yesterday Kat did the neck shoulder pain release option combined with deep tissue massage. Kat is very nice and my massage was great. The head and neck release option involves something that reminded me of rolfing. I don't know that I would choose that option again. The spa itself was spotless and beautifully maintained -- truly a 10/10 for cleanliness and ambiance. From the moment I walked in, everything felt calm, polished, and professional. I added the $25 Thai experience to my $75 session (totaling $100), and the foot exfoliation and mask were a nice touch that made the visit feel elevated. Nancy did a great job with head massage, back work, and the assisted stretching at the end -- that part especially felt amazing. Technique-wise, I'd say this is a fantastic spot if you love arm work and broader massage strokes. I personally prefer more targeted finger pressure and focused work on specific problem areas, which we didn't fully dive into (and to be fair, I didn't communicate those areas clearly). Even so, I left feeling very relaxed -- easily a 9/10 for relaxation. While I'd likely try a different therapist next time to explore technique variety, I would absolutely return to this location. Good services. I got the deep tissue with Thai stretching and the wife got the deep tissue only. We each received an hour service. The place looks very nice and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Perhaps the only negative for me was the $230 price at the end. Of course that was for 2 people for 1 hour each. And I did add on the Thai stretching. I can't help to think the nice client reception was due to its location being across from Chandler Fashion Mall. Typically those "Reflexology" places will do something similar for much less. But I did want to go to a place that was not going to be sketchy or illegal . Also, it seems that EVERYTHING has gone UP UP UP since Covid. So perhaps this is just the new norm. But overall. Thai Royal was a good experience and a good service. In fact, I went for my chiropractic adjustment after my massage and I was able to manipulated much easier than I would have if I hadn't received the massage. So that was a bonus. read more

I've had many done and usually get them when I've been too over worked and boy has work been taking a toll on my body lol. Didn't get the name of the massage therapist, but did he work his magic and get every issues I've listed! Excellent customer service from the front desk to the massage therapist. Overall great value as well, 2 hours at $130 if you pay in cash, card (credit/debit) will be a little higher, ATM was located in the lobby if you decide to pay in cash so that's convenient. I have had 3 other massages before in my life and most have been good experiences. I've been under a lot of stress lately and had big meeting coming up that was adding to that stress, so I thought I'd take my mind off it the night before and get a Swedish massage to relax me. It had been a decade since my last one and I remember it being nice. Thai Royal was nearby and has great feedback so off I went! At the start of the massage the pressure (medium) was great... but then the MT found the knot in my right shoulder that I assume comes from all the repetitive chopping/knife work I do... Oh dear... lol. He focused on it for a while. By the time he got to the other knot hiding behind the left shoulder blade, I had kind of resigned to thinking if he's focusing on them they must be pretty bad, getting rid of the knots I'd built up was good for me, and I'd probably feel so much better tomorrow so why not? After all, it was just one part of my body on an hour long Swedish massage. I don't know how much time actually passed here, but it felt like 15-20 minutes was spent just working on the shoulders blades and those knots. It was intense and very repetitive. From there the massage was kind of a mix of semi-relaxing things accentuated by things that made me tense up. I spent most of the time wondering what was going to happen next and being surprised by it. I tipped generously and left thinking it wasn't what I expected but I'm gonna be a new person tomorrow! A few hours later I felt queasy. I searched around and found that is something that can happen after deep tissue massages because your immune system kicks in, lymphatic system drains, and to drink water and you'll be fine, etc. It was then I looked into what deep tissue massages entail, and realized that was my massage to a T. Again this is a rare activity for me and it had been so long since my prior ones I didn't know what to expect of a swedish in a primarily thai themed place I've never been to. I just thought "he's focusing on those areas because it's a problem keeping me from feeling good and I will feel better for it tomorrow". Maybe the Valentines day rush confused things? That or the Swedish massage is very different here. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep very well and kept waking up with bizarre pains in different parts of my body. Today I have the DOMS you get after a particularly grueling workout. I'm definitely still waiting for that "I'll feel great" part. heh. I'm so sorry Thai Royal, I kind of have to give 3 stars because I thought I was getting a Swedish massage and didn't know any better. After is too late to speak up tho, so that's on me. The promotions have stipulations like the 10% off Thai massage only applies for first time customers. So if you want to take advantage you'll have to try the Thai massage first because if you do foot massages then want to do a Thai on a subsequent visit, you won't get the promotion. It's also about $10 more than it's competitors. Unlike other reflexology places this is more of an experience. They have changing outfits. It's all clean looking. The ambiance is by far the best I've found around here. It's cleaner than the other places too. The "foot massage" is $50 and regardless of the name, it's still a combo and they will massage your body. It's in a group setting. The Thai is a stretch combined with a traditional and it's $70. Swedish is done in a private room and is also $70. My favorite therapist by far is Dominick. He had strong hands and provided an amazing service. I don't like much elbow and forearm work.
