Don't go here if you have anxiety about going to a dentist. Don't even consider it. I was told my…read moredental practice which I had been going to for 30 years did not take my insurance. Having regular visits covered, except for X-rays, was new and something I intended to take advantage of. Things seemed to be going well. I hadn't heard any music so I figured that wouldn't be a problem. When I went to the back I heard music that was definitely unpleasant and I would not be able to tolerate. In fact, I can barely tolerate the experience of being at the dentist so any negatives are a big deal. I was asked why I wanted the music turned off and I didn't answer. I just said it had to be. I was still going to be able to hear music from the front. If that became a problem I would say so. Actually, it was quite noisy in that room with patients talking at the front. X-rays were first and were required. But this was nothing like at the last place, where it took them several tries for me to be able to handle it. I really, really tried but the person just kept putting whatever you call it in my mouth and in the same place over and over. Then finally she moved to a different place. Eventually I couldn't handle having something put so far in my mouth, and that was a problem with the other dentist, who understood and tried to work with that. Then the person tried to take my blood pressure. I have a real problem with the cuff being too tight and it was more than I could handle. She didn't finish. And eventually she said she'd have to get the dentist who informed me there was a problem because if I wouldn't let the other person do what had to be done, she couldn't do her job. I said I was trying my best and this didn't seem to satisfy her. Then they noticed my hand was sweating and shaking and turning purple. It must be a circulation problem and they were about to call an ambulance. My hand looks purple because of dry skin. I didn't tell them that because it was obvious I had to get out of there. I was a nervous wreck the rest of the day because of all this--and I didn't even get to why I was there in the first place! But imagine how that would have been. I was asked did I have a deep cleaning or a regular cleaning last time? What is a deep cleaning? I didn't ask but if it's any worse than what was done at my former dentist who is once again my dentist, I don't even want to know. Later after I asked my former dentist who is now my dentist once again to get the X-rays, when I asked if it had been accomplished, I was told they didn't get good X-rays. Now correct me if I'm wrong. Somehow another dentist and his successor at the practice were able to treat me for 30 years. Right? And this one couldn't deal with me once? I gave two points to the hygienist because she was pleasant.

She deliberately puts the filling in very gently, just layed in and cured,no packing, nothing! She is a terrible dentist and a bad person.

I can honestly say this was only my second visit, and I couldn't be more thankful for the care I…read morereceived. After having bad experiences with other dentists in the past, I was extremely nervous and had avoided going to the dentist for 8-10 years because of fear. Unfortunately, I was in so much pain that I finally had to go. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness, respect, and compassion. There was absolutely no judgment, even though I have several cavities that need to be repaired and a tooth that needs to be removed. Instead of making me feel embarrassed, they took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me understand my treatment options. Dr. James Lemmons is truly wonderful. He listened to every concern I had, answered all of my questions honestly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the visit. He was straightforward about what needed to be done, explained what he would focus on first, and genuinely cared about helping me get my smile back. That meant more to me than I can put into words. One thing I really appreciated is that they offer payment plans, making it much easier for people to get the dental care they need without feeling overwhelmed. If you're someone who has been putting off the dentist because of fear, anxiety, embarrassment, or financial concerns, I completely understand because that was me. This office made me feel safe, respected, and cared for. I highly recommend Dr. James Lemmons and his team to anyone looking for a dentist who truly puts their patients first. They have earned my trust, and I'm actually looking forward to getting my smile healthy again.
