If I could give this place zero stars I would! I came here for an appointment because they could see me the same day so I thought that was a good thing. My wait was less than five minutes, but when I got to the exam room, the nurse seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. She had on gloves, but she kept touching the instruments with her hands and then putting them in my mouth I've had exams before a dentist office and I knew this was not right and it was very uncomfortable. I stopped her in the middle of the exam and told the receptionist that I was not comfortable and she understood. I explained my reasoning for believing, but they assured me that everything was sanitized. Regardless of things being sanitize, you're not supposed to touch the tools with your hands and then put them in the patient's mouth. Please look somewhere else before you go here. read more

I rue the day I ever stepped into this place. I am a senior and needed new dentures. They have been the absolute worse dentures, never fit right and I have had at least 5 or 6 teeth come out of them. I had a tooth come out the 2nd day I got them. I have always had the teeth fixed that day. This time o n e fell out they made me a 2:00 appointment and when I got there the dentist said our day is over that I would have to leave them. I work in the public and could not leave them. If you think Aspen Dental is there to provide reasonably priced services to the general public, including those without dental insurance, think again. In fact, you might want to hide your wallet in your shoe before you step inside. On the plus side, the place is clean and the personnel are competent. They use state of the art equipment and offer free initial exams to qualified patients. But they use that equipment to find any possible treatment they might conceivably provide, present it to you as though your teeth are just weeks away from rotting out of your head if you don't let them give you the works, and charge you top dollar. Google will tell you that the average cost of a simple cleaning at Aspen is $80 to $200. That's what I went in for. After a thirty minute exam I was told that, at a minimum, I needed the cleaning, deep treatment for a possible future gum infection, treatment for critical bone loss, and two crowns, all of which could be mine for the low, low cost of $2300. Good thing I had no cavities, loose fillings, or gum disease or I might have been looking at some serious money. In the end, I got out with just the 'deep' cleaning, at a cost of over $500. Aspen is like a shady used car dealer or a roadside carnival. They lure you in under the guise of being an affordable alternative to standard dentistry, but once they get you in the chair they are milking you like a rube for every dime they can possibly justify with their high-tech 'free' exam, and strong-arming you with threats of imminent tooth loss and gum disease if you don't sign the treatment/payment authorization forms that are waiting for you at the end of that exam. Might as well go to a more traditional family dentist. He won't charge you more than Aspen Dental will. read more

The goal feels like it's just how quickly they can get you in & out and tell you that you need something expensive done. I went for my first appointment in January 2021. I already had top dentures but needed new ones and had to have bottom teeth pulled. I was told initially that I would have my temporary set within days and permanent within a couple of weeks. I finally got my top permanent in July 2021. My temporary bottoms are useless, they fall out no matter what I do or how much fixodent I use. Here we are in April 2022 and I still do not have my bottoms. I financed the majority of the cost, paid cash for some and my insurance paid. However my insurance didn't pay what was expected. After many calls I finally just went in to try and work on the insurance and make arrangements to pay balance. We are talking a small portion of my total balance. They wouldn't do anything to fix my bottom dentures. I've continued to call and never receive a call back. My bottoms should have been done over a year ago. Nothing about my experience was pleasurable. It's like they are holding my bottoms until they receive every penny. I would not recommend this company to anyone. It's all false advertisement. Worst experience at a dentist I've ever had. I had an appointment on March 2nd at 7:00am to get two teeth extracted. I'm assuming the dental assistant didn't check the tools because the dentist got on to her about not checking them before starting the operation. He told her if it's your room you make sure to check even if it's out before you come in there. She put the numbing gel on me then the dentist put the numbing injection in my gums and it hurt like crap. They waited to let it work then when he told me to open my mouth wide open I could barely open my mouth and my jaw would hurt when I tried to open it more. Since I wasn't able to open my mouth they rescheduled it to the 8th. They told me the numbness should wear off by noon but around 3:00pm it finally wore off but my jaw still hurt. They told me to go ahead and get my prescription filled and to start taking it. It was two types of pain medication. It felt better the second or third day. For my appointment on the 8th the same thing happened after I was numbed where I could barely open my mouth. They stepped out for a little while and I was eventually able to open my mouth all the way so they did the extraction. That time they only prescribed me one prescription which was a type of Tylenol. When the numbness wore off I was in terrible pain both sides of my mouth and my head started hurting. On Tuesday my head was hurting terribly and the medicine wasn't working. I couldn't even make it through work. On Wednesday I still felt horrible mainly my head. I called the dentist and they told me that it's normal. I've had teeth extracted before and it's never had me hurt for this long. On Thursday I actually went to work but my headache felt so bad, I felt nauseous and felt sick. I called the office it went straight to voicemail. I got my mom to call twice it hung up when she pressed 2. I called 3 more times and when I pressed 2 it hung up or went to voicemail. I finally got someone on the phone and they put me on hold for like 15 minutes then hung up on me. I called again and finally talked to someone and they told me I could come in before their lunch break at 2. I got there at like 1:15. The dental assistant brought me to the back and asked what was going on. I told him what was going on and he asked me could I be expecting, I'm assuming he asked that since I said I was nauseous. I told him that there's no way that I could be expecting since I'm gay. He told me pretty much that's doesn't mean anything. Like sir I would know if I was trying to get pregnant. So when the dentist came in he checked my sockets and told me that I didn't have dry sockets and that I was healing properly and just prescribed me the same prescription. He also told me that it's normal to feel that way and if I still felt this way in two weeks then I could come back in. Later on that day I still felt horrible, my head felt like it was going to explode so I went to the ER that night. I was given an IV for nausea and pain. The next day the pain only eased a little. Saturday morning I woke up in so much pain. I legit was crying due to hurting so bad. I found an emergency dentist office to go to. I told the oral surgeon what was going on. He asked about the prescriptions I was prescribed. I told him and he asked did they prescribe an antibiotic and I told him no since they didn't and he said that's very surprising that they didn't do that. Then he checked my mouth and told me he can't believe they told me that I was healing correctly because I actually indeed had dry socket and an infection at both extraction sites. He cleared it, created another blood clot, and prescribed an antibiotic and mouth rinse. I'm actually already feeling less pain and it's finally bearable. I really feel like Aspen was very negligent. Medical malpractice needs to be addressed in the black community specifically for black women. read more

I started my treatment Feb 2019 am still in process of completion of delivery of a functional denture it is now August and more than $1200.00 later i still don't have a denture because after 2 weeks the denture broke i went back to the office they repaired it in about a week and billed me for the repair as if i had did something wrong several weeks later the denture broke again I'm at my wits end now so i go back again I'm really not happy with them ask for refund get $400. something back gone to 3 dentist they don't want to go behind another dentist and reccomend i go back meanwhile Aspen will not acknowledge my situation and are demanding their denture i want to make this a civil complaint I've totally been mistreated by this company What do i do with no teeth? read more

I showed them my phone where they had called me for my appointment confirmation and they told me that there was another company that does their appointments and that they had no record. They told me they could schedule me an appointment and I could come back later.
