What sets Brookwood Endodontics apart is its attention to patient comfort. When I arrived, I received a card to complete noting my preference for nitrous, a blanket, a pillow, tv channel and a beverage. This helped ease my anxieties about the procedure almost immediately. Prior to the procedure, Stephanie and Daniel did a fantastic job of taking my X-rays and well as explaining and preparing me before Dr. Thomas began his work. I appreciated that Dr. Thomas made certain that I understood why the procedure was needed and what to expect during and after the procedure. The following day, a member of the office called to check on me, which rarely, if ever, happens at other offices. I could not have asked for better or more professional service. Highly recommend.

I paid what they asked me to pay when I was there. I called about this bill and the girl said yes, insurance usually doesn't cover that. I asked why didn't you tell me that insurance would probably not pay for it. I then asked, if they could discount this amount to what insurance would allow. She said NO. I told her my dentist had sent me for a root canal of one tooth. I didn't see why they had to do a 3D of my entire mouth. If you go be prepared for additional charges that are not covered.

Then told me the tooth wouldn't be viable long term and charged me $75 copay. The staff was nice. I feel like I could have saved a lot of time and pain with a little up front investigation. It seems to me that they decided they weren't goin to do the work, but wanted the X-rays to justify the copay for doing nothing. I'm sure they do a great job if they are going to try to save your tooth. However, feeling shafted leaving an endodontist isn't the feeling you want to have, and I certainly have that feeling.

After services were done, I was blindsided with unexpected costs. When I questioned this, I was told it was "my responsibility" to find out -- even though insurance verification is literally Kelly's job. If the office expects patients to do all the work themselves, then there is no reason to employ an insurance coordinator.
