Stop being scandalous as many visits as it takes 1 year still not correct lied on the price lied on the service

This place is horrible for a number of reasons. They lie to you about what is really going on with your teeth and try to charge you a fortune to fix teeth that aren't faulty. I had a second opinion after the dentist there was really rude and judgmental and was told something completely different. I will never go there again. read more

Warning to others: Almost a week later & I am still bamboozled by my experience at Aspen Dental- Bryant, AR. The office staff was very kind & helpful. The x-ray tech was gentle & very friendly. However, my interaction with Dr. Deckelman was the WORST encounter with a dentist I have EVER had. When he came into the room, he did not introduce himself or make eye contact any. He immediately blurted out a treatment plan that I felt was excessive & unnecessary. When trying to ask questions, his ONLY response was, "You don't have to decide right now." & then LEFT THE ROOM. He couldn't have been in the room with me for longer than 2 1/2 minutes. Obviously, I am not as educated in the dental world as he is but I had questions he could have taken the extra minute to answer. I am timid & non confrontational (I am working on this) so I just left the office not understanding what just happened or what I just wasted my dental coverage on. I have never been or seen someone treated like this in a doctor's office. I am not sure if he treats everyone this way. I wish someone would tell him that how he treats patients MATTERS and AFFECTS them. I would HIGHLY recommend finding another office for your dental care needs. I do not have words for how blown away that I am that I was treated this way. I was kind to everyone in his office. I do not understand why he felt that I deserved to be treated in that manner. read more

After responding to all of the texts and emails to confirm my appointment, I was 5 minutes late and was told they took someone else ahead of me and I would have to wait an hour. It is a 35 minute drive and the "oh well" attitude from the staff totally hit me wrong. Plus, by my calculation, this means they had 2 people scheduled at the same time and one of us was destined to wait an hour. DONT USE ASPEN DENTAL... My girlfriend was going to get her wisdom teeth removed today, I called off work to take her and without any call or notice the Oral Surgery was a no show. We weren't informed until we showed up for the appointment. They laughed in our faces asking if we wanted to reschedule another month out. We politely declined and will not return. read more

worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life I made 3 different appointments and confirmed them online and on phone and when I got there they said I didn't have an appointment they were rude very unprofessional and even made the comment that my time is not important to them NEVER again will I allow my insurance company to send me there I should've have listened to the long list of people telling me just how bad they are. I would give zero stars if i could. It's not even about the staff. It's about their finance department and how much they've messed my finances up. i went there once. ONCE. i have medicaid and no dental insurance. I was told by 6 people, including the dentist, that the first appt was free, as i had a tooth that was hurting me severely bad. I went into be seen where they asked how i was going to pay, i responded with "i was told my first appt was free." where the receptionist CONFIRMED that it was. As did the finance team. as did the dentist and dental assistant. they wanted to do a root canal. i am a single mom who recently lost my job. and even tho we had a root canal scheduled i canceled said appt because i knew i didn't have the money being jobless. Then i see charges from their loan company being taken out of my account. How??? If I never got the root canal done and whenever the loan agreement STATES THAT THE LOAN WAS SPECIFICALLY FOR ONE PRODUCT- being the root canal. Because they don't want to lose out on money they've now changed their story that they don't do first appt's for free. (even though it says it on their damn website) That they're charging me 1200 for a CLEANING! TO GET MY DAMN TEETH CLEANED. AFTER I ASKED A MILLION TIMES IF IT WOULD BE FREE AND WAS TOLD YES. i'm not even asking for a refund anymore, as my bank is taking care of it because it's an unauthorized charge at this point. but after countless phone calls with them, never once being able to speak to the man i met with for the loan, speaking to everyone else WHO DOESNT KNOW MT CASE, but not speaking to the one person who knows it, i'm being told that my free appt wasn't free. and that it was 1200 for a cleaning. (i ended up having ALL services INCLUDING A DEEP CLEANING BC THEY DIDNT DO IT GOOD WNOUGH) done at a different dental office PRO BONO, bc i'm a single mom who didn't have the money, and i was going to get the tooth pulled. Aspen sucks. loved the front desk ladies , but they are one of the worse dental places i've ever dealt with. and they really should change up their website if the first appt isn't free you can make your own assumptions based off of them. I wish I could give no stars, as they did not even deserve one. I broke a tooth and my broken tooth has been cutting my tongue. I called and asked about an emergency appointment, all I want is for this one tooth to stop causing me so much pain. So they tell me to select an appointment time among the times available and I do, for the next day. Do I get my painful tooth fixed? No, I do not. I pay $29 for what is a cheap dog and pony show where they want to force me through a lot of painful and unnecessary testing and then they want me to talk to a hygienist about a tooth cleaning. Seriously. My pain is at a 10 out of 10 by this time and I am in tears. A female dentist comes in, I do not know where she is from, but she barely speaks English. I don't know if no one hears me or they are so stuck in their cookie cutter program, I am not allowed to deviate. The dentists starts listing all of the teeth of mine she wants to pull and is using this thing that looks and feels like a screwdriver and is pounding on my teeth. I have a bleeding disorder and she was making me bleed, adding to my pain. Then this chubby little gorgoyle asks me to come to his office to discuss options. Are they going to fix my pain today? no. he tells me, we do not have an appointment until April. They want me to sign up for their crooked payment plan and sign up for all kinds of extractions, crowns, implants, etc. ALL I NEED TODAY is to get this one cracked tooth fixed. They wasted so much time trying to sell me their boxed set of lies that they cannot see what a patient really needs. I cussed him out and left. I am still in pain, I have no idea where to get a dental emergency taken care of because their advertisements clog up google. I have never dealt with a bunch of losers who are completely unable to think outside or the box or deliver basic patient care. It is no surprise that they only have two stars. Now a customer service person is going to respond and say, "oh, we're so sorry, please contact us" Nah, I'm good. I made an appointment via the website and was seen quick. I had broken a tooth over the weekend. My dentist had recently retired and I have not been to the dentist in the last year. I was seen quickly. The staff was very friendly to me. They were concerned with whether or not I was in pain. I received an assessment, X-rays, had a cleaning, and my broken tooth was repaired (along with the cavity that caused it). The hygienist was great and so was the dentist. They seemed to aim towards my comfort and meeting my needs. They accepted my insurance, and I paid what I felt was fair price for all that I received. Hope this is helpful. read more

I will try make this short but completely honest. If your considering this dental office it will be in your best interest to find another location. The lady that takes the X-rays couldn't be more self involved and uncaring. The dentist (I didn't care to remember his name if you've been seen by him you will know who I'm talking about by smell) comes in right after smoking cigarettes and fills the room with that distinct odor. I think to myself... this guy right here is supposed to be working with ppls teeth? Right after burning a cigarette? So not soon enough I left that place and absolutely will not return. I feel bad for their other patients, so if your looking for dental work do your self a favor and scroll on. (Next) The only positive in that particular office would have to be the dental hygienist lady. She was the most professional, informative, and honestly showed great compassion for her job and patients. I went there last week as a new patient. They didn't do a cleaning which I went there to get (maybe I didn't use the right words when scheduling my appointment). The dentist spent less than 5 minutes with me and said that I need two root canals and crowns. Then they tried to sell me $4000 of Invisalign, I spent more time with the lady trying to sell that than with the dentist. I went to a different dentist today for a second opinion and the cleaning I didn't get. He said my teeth are perfect and I don't need Invisalign. He also said that I just need a couple fillings. I had been seeing them for a while had some bad experiences but tried to get past it . Wasn't easy then the weirdest thing happened somehow I go in and find out they hadn't given me my upper . Warning! Although I did have a great 1st visit, I've since been treated VERY poorly by Dr Shark. In my opinion, his name fits him well! He is rude, condsending, unprofessional, vengeful, inappropriate, & has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. I could say more, but hopefully you get the idea & steer clear of this man. Most of his staff are great & plesant, but they have his back, even after he has treated a patient poorly. I have had a lot of dental work done over my life & have never had anyone be so rough & unconcerned about the amount of pain I was feeling during a procedure. It is my belief he was agitated with me because of conflict he & I had (he made a rude comment & I confronted him on it) before my procedure & he took out his frustration with me on me as he worked on my mouth. That is the only explanation I can possibly think of given the difference in the way my 1st procedure went compared to the 2nd. Zero stars if possible! read more

Don't even bother. It's just another chain and they're only after your money. From the moment I walked in, I knew I wasn't coming back. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. I was just told to sign my name on the sheet. Not only did she not greet me, but the woman at the front desk didn't even look or sound like she wanted to be there. I thought I was scheduled to get my teeth cleaned. No! These people took a million pictures that they didn't need to take (the woman was way too rough) and then told me that the lady that does the cleaning was leaving for the day so I would have to schedule another appointment. First of all, I only gave them a one star because I had to put something. I do not know where to start. The provider kept telling me I should only feel pressure when I kept telling him that I was feeling pain. I was in pain to the point of tears. It got so bad I yelled out. The provider never offered me additional pain medicine. I FELT EVERYTHING!!!! No just pressure but the pain as well. I could hear my teeth crack. He kept telling me I was only feeling pressure. By this point I am in tears and wanting my husband. I was literally spitting out pieces of my broken tooth. If I could give this place negative 5 stars I WOULD! First let me say... I have been with my dentist for 15 years & I was trying something new. My husband went to Aspen Dental in Little Rock & had a good experience. My first visit I was less than impressed but not upset. We ALL have bad days so when Dr. Shark didnt explain his treatment plan ... I thought "ok in & out" not a smile how is your day... thanks for choosing us NOTHING! *his nurse was nice* Then I was quickly passed to finance. I expressed my concern to her after she inquired how was your visit,and asked is there anything we could do better!? She was really great! Mind you... I am about to drop over $8,000 cash money on dental treatment NOT insurance money! Due to my busy work schedule I book an appointment for 2 months out. I go back ready for my procedure slightly nervous but ready to start fresh & have him benefit to start over. I tell the young man at front desk I have a few questions for the Dr before we begin. I can tell by the look in his face he wasn't excited to tell the dr. Sooooo I go back for my appt 20 min late which is ok. I remind the nurse I asked to talk to Dr before to ask a couple of questions. They didn't even know which tooth they were starting on the whole vibe felt rushed like I didn't matter! Like Mc Donald's of dentist. Fast forward Dr comes in & seems already annoyed... his exact words "let me get this right! Your friend that is a dentist told you to ask me about my treatment... why aren't you having her fix your teeth?!!" I tried to calmly & nicely explain that it was a client of mine that is a dentist from out of town & she told me to ask questions & communicate with my dentist to understand ALL options. Needless to say he was pissed & highly offended which he told me outright! He then told me I should seek treatment elsewhere.... Are you kidding me! This is a medical professional I think NOT.... a professional would have reassured the patient that everything was ok & simply explained. Wow after my nightmare experience with Dr Eric Sharks on Wednesday I got a text that I missed an appointment the next day. How is a patient to know an appointment has been made if no one in the office informs them. This is the third time this has happened. I even checked my account on the website it didn't show an appointment. I have stitches in my mouth and don't even have follow up appointment. I hope my stitches dissolve ok and everything heals up ok. He definitely became a Dr for the money not to care for people . Waiting on a call back from Regional Management to try to resolve my money. I've only been to Aspen Dental once & I'll never go back.They took about 20 xrays & I was having one tooth worked on which never happened because after this dentist got through looking at the x-rays,he sent me to the lady that gets you approved with financing.She hit me with over $8000.00 worth of work to be done,and to top it off they wanted to start on teeth at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.I take good care of my teeth & I've never had a dentist find so much wrong with my teeth,and I didn't care for the dentist at all.Since I had my visit with them,I've talked to several people that said they would never go back there.So if you're thinking about going there,read their reviews first. read more
