    No good doesn't come close. Garbage. My child had an appointment today, which was verified by phone yesterday. The reception decided she would cancel my appointment without notice. So when my child showed up for their visit, she says that I ASKED to cancel it. I've been on hold for nearly 30 minutes waiting to talk to someone while listening to the lies about nonjudgmental and quality care. Garbage.

    Trying to find a dentist is next to impossible. I called to make an appointment. The girl was…read morerather rude, but we made it. I went in and the hygienist was great. They told me I needed a deep cleaning. I called with new insurance. They asked me to email it and they would call me right back. A week later I hadn't heard, so I kindly called them. I was treated very rudely by multiple people. The first was a man who said they could not give me a price on cleaning until after I had it, which is ridiculous. Then I was transferred to Becky who put me on hold for 18 minutes so I hung up and called back a little while later again on hold for almost 20 minutes so I hung up and called again later and she was rude and angry. Every time I tried to tell her why I was calling, she told me I was a new patient, which I'm not - she finally found me, but would not help me. I tried to explain what I needed but every time I spoke, she threw me back on hold. I kept calling, as this is the only dentist I have in my health plan to go to. Finally Destiny, apparently the manager, took the call, yelled at me and told me not to come back. I can't reach anyone else and now they have blocked me -stay away. Do you really want people like this caring for your dental needs?

    My wife went in for dental work. The procedure was submitted to our insurance company from her last…read moredentist appointment. This appointment was to finish the procedure. We received the summary from our insurance company in the mail a week or so before the appointment. The day of the appointment we received a bill in the mail from the dentist. When my wife showed up for the appointment, the dental office indicated that she needed to pay what was owed right then. My wife explained that we had just received the bill at home that day and that we usually mail in a check, but the dentist office wanted the money right then. My wife does not carry a checkbook with her, so she had to pay on credit, but was NOT told that they charge an extra 2.99% for a credit card change. When I was able to contact the dental office, I asked them to take the charge off of my credit card and I would send a check in the mail as I normally do. They refused and said that I had to bring them a check before they would cancel the credit charge. I refused to do this. I also asked why we had to pay more via credit. They said that there are notices all over their office about this (it's on the mailed bill too). However, I never noticed or considered this because we always paid our bill via check when it came in the mail. I would like to add that we have never been overdue on any of our payments. With this disagreement I indicated that I already talked to our bank and had the number of their fraud department and that I would contact the BBB about this strong arm tactic. We had no previous notice that the money we owed would need to be paid that day! Anyway, my wife went in with a check after this disagreement and they refunded the extra 2.99% they charged in cash and told us that due to the threats of calling our bank's fraud department and the BBB we are no longer patients. The dentist is great, but how do you deal with an office manager only focused on money and not the care of the patients.

Dr. Pawelek is a skilled dentist who is thoughtful and honest in his treatment approach. He knows how to connect to the patient personally and is very compassionate about providing pain free treatment. I highly recommend him. The practice has 3 different names that confuses me and the insurance carrier Humana. I had my crown done in the Cicero office on a Friday because Mourad does not work Friday's in Fayetteville. Got a letter from Humana re my crown procedure. Tried to get in touch with Brandon, supposedly the mgr., to no avail. I did all the things, all of them Arrived to my supposed-to-be consultation with the dental proprietor of the establishment, to be served a cup of rinse. I rinsed. I spat. I sat awkwardly through 20 pictures of my teeth being taken by digital camera. I held the tongs when asked. My husband raised an eyebrow. I shrugged. I was there to discuss a plan for getting implants, as my teeth did not make it through terminal lung cancer as peppy as I did. When I informed them I was not there for the $149 super special super cleaning, confusion was thick. I said again, I was supposed to see the owner. Andrea said she works with the #1 implant specialist in the country. I was stoked. We then waited 30 minutes for the dentist who showed up delightful, gentle and absolutely clueless to anything. She asked why I was there. I said to fix my teeth. She said what's wrong with them. I said there's only 7. She asked what I was specifically there for. Now less sure, I answered... expertise? On... dental... implants? Did no one... sigh. She excised herself to peer at my X-rays for the first time, and then said she would not be able to help me, but handed me a useless post-it where 'a firmer cancer patient like me can go to get specialized care for my cancer deformity.' Um. Those teeth were pulled in the 90's, back when sedation dentistry wasn't really a thing, and my dentist pulled anything that needed more than 10 minutes work because I had panic disorder. Unacceptable in the late 80's and early 90's. Point is, it was a waste of time, a schmooze to get me there and it was irritating because now my sedation dentist is like: appreciate what you have. And maybe that's it. I'll give him 23k because my deformity, whether from cancer or anxiety, doesn't bother him And he knows I'd absolutely smack him if he said I was deformed. Because what a douche to the ego High traffic. Very busy. It's dark. Addams family decor (black blinds with dark blue floors). Don't recommend. Unless that's your thing. Then go for it.
