Again a nightmare...the Auburn New York office. Manager and…read moreoffice staff rude and manager dressed in clothes that were filthy and smelled as though she was not washed and food smelled. Eating lunch at the front desk. I asked for an adjustment and was loudly addressed to the fact I was dismissed as a patient. She seemed to be really proud of the control she thought had in front of the one patient in the waiting room. Office smelled of fried food. Horrible presentation of a dental office, I left and was happy I did. I am familiar with dental offices, as I worked in the industry in the past and I am surprised due to many many health violations I witnessed they remain open. Disgusting.

Despite having an appointment, the dentist / owner Jose Alvarez refused to see me for no reason, even though I arrived on time and had clearly explained what the appointment was for when scheduling. Staff suddenly told me I had been "scheduled incorrectly" and could not be seen. I waited nearly 20 minutes to speak with a manager, who told me the dentist had simply decided he wasn't going to see me. I drove 40 minutes each way for nothing. When I returned the next day for the rescheduled appointment, the denist repaired the tooth in 5 minutes - proving the procedure was quick and straightforward. When I asked what went wrong the day before, he was extremely rude, dismissive, and offered no apology. He told me he was "busy" and dealing with walk-ins, implying that walk-ins were prioritized over a patient with a confirmed appointment. His tone and attitude were completely unprofessional and showed no regard for my time or experience. This level of disrespect and disregard for patients at this location is unacceptable. I would not recommend this office to anyone. The dentist's behavior, in particular, was shockingly unprofessional and has completely destroyed my trust in this establishment.

SCAM TO GET YOUR COPAY!!! Seeing how terrible Jefferson Dental is at root canals, maybe it was a…read moreblessing in disguise that the ridiculously unprofessional dentist that I saw today couldn't do my procedure. Today I was very frustrated and disappointed in Jefferson dental because the woman over the phone assured me that they could take care of me after I gave her great details on what was needed and sent over x-rays from my dentist. She assured me over and over again that it can be done and taken care of. I let her know I was concerned that I didn't want to see a bunch of dentists who could not take care of me. When I went in today the dentist told me that he could not take care of me and that I needed to go see someone else. He took NO responsibility for his receptionist running around lying and assuring people that they can be taken care of and he laughed half way through the advice he gave me to go somewhere else. In my opinion, if you're not sure if the doctor can do something.... lead with " I'm not sure" or "I do not know". Please don't say it can be done because me as the patient is the one left paying for a visit that ended up not being helpful to me at all. Simply unprofessional in every way!

If I could rate this place zero stars, I would. If you can find and be seen by any other dentist,…read moreplease do it. This place was once on the Extreme Makeover Home Edition show, and that's all that's good about it. These people are rude and refuse to communicate with each other. Workplace Skills 101: Communication is Important! I was told by one person that I didn't require fillings, and in fact I needed SIX. Surprise! Bring up that juicy nugget to someone's attention, and the culprit gets nominated for a firing squad. You get a cleaning done, and they give you a toothbrush, right? Nope, all out of those. Eh, whatever. I was fitted for a mouthguard, and then after I pick up my mouthguard a week later, I'm told I had to have my fillings done. Whoops, a little backwards. Fillings come after the mouthguard. Their response? Oh, just come back if the guard doesn't fit. SERIOUSLY? I live on the other end of the county. It takes me 40 minutes to even get there. I was seen at least 5 times over the course of 2 months. Excessive much? One of those appointments, I drove all the way there, just to be "examined" by the dentist for 10 minutes. They are extremely rough with your mouth, and gentle is not an option with these people. The stressed out employees wear so many hats there, you have one employee schedule an appointment for you, and another employee is blowing up your phone to schedule an appointment the next day. What was comical, and quite frankly, too convenient, was the fact that I politely ask questions about my treatments during my appointment (you want to know what they're doing to YOUR mouth, right?!) and the following week, there is an email sent, with the most horrendous grammar, saying they no longer accept your insurance...the DAY before my next appointment. Please, don't waste your money and time. My next stop is the Better Business Bureau, and anyone else who will listen.
