They tried to do the 3d X-rays and I refused and asked that only the extracted tooth be X-rayed. The lady right next to X-ray machine threatened me that the dentist wouldn't see me without a full X-ray. The dentist and his assistant were wonderful and the procedure went great. Ridiculous pricing and people should know that when they are in such extreme pain that they will see you quickly but they will make a patient pay. My experience with the dental technician and dentist was outstanding. The billing department of Aspen is lost in their own paper maze. I keep getting bills for work that was already payed for through Carecredit, the financial assistance they recommended and accepted. All my work was per-approved by my dental insurance. I was assured the amount quoted for my care was all I owed. The bills that come in and I dispute keep getting larger. As a medical practice I highly recommend them. Dishonest and trickery dental, customer beware of double charge and unnecessity procedure billing. According their website, they offer $19 exam and x-ray for new patient without insurance and 20% off all treatment plans. When we came we paid the $19 using our own credit card for the exam They added the pre-paid $19 exam to the financing plan, they charged $135 for oral B brush that we did not take. Also they did not give a 20% discount as they promised. Husband needed to get tooth extraction, ended up with teeth cleaning charged for $2044 !! No tooth extraction. read more

Usually Aspen Dental in other cities are very helpful. That is why my sister who is visiting us called them because her dentures cracked and she needed them repair. They pride themselves with same day dentures repair. However, when my sister called them, they asked her if she was going to be a client and when she said she was just visiting, they told her they could not help her. My sister called their sister office in Sanford Florida, where she lives and they agreed to fix her dentures in Sanford without asking if she would continue to be their client. I called the Cleveland office to speak to the manager and was told she would call me, but she never did. My wife already had an appointment to see them and I was planning to use them. My wife broke a large piece off of of one of her top front teeth while eating. We have dental insurance through my employer, but like most dental insurance it sucks. I don't make much money as a paramedic. So, we knew we probably wouldn't have the money to pay up front for a bridge or cap or implant. My wife is too young to be missing a front tooth. So we did a Google search for a dentist who would take payments or finance the treatment. We found Aspen Dental. After making an appointment, I was researching the place. I found so many complaints online that I was honestly scared. So many people saying that they would try to sell us unnecessary treatments that would end up being thousands of dollars. But, we figured we didn't have much choice. We went and told them that we only wanted to fix that one tooth. They were pleasant and reassuring. They did the exam and the next day fixed her tooth. They not only got me an appointment the following day, but they were extremely kind and got the job done well. I had Dr. Jones. She explained everything so that I could understand it easily. They do full treatment plans that you don't need and root canals that are not healthy at all. They don't care what you want, they tell you what they are going to do and make you think you have gum disease even when you do NOT have disease at all. I would not trust Aspen ever again! They are out for the bucks straight out of your pockets and into theirs! Even if it's simple payment plans, they are out to get what they can. They even give you so called good deals. If you put your foot down and tell them you don't want all their stuff they say you need when you really don't, they don't like it. If you want your spouse with you they will not allow it? Why not? That tells me they cannot be trusted. Never had a dentist that didn't allow all of us in the room. Even teachers at universities that are teaching their students allow family members in the room. Don't go to Aspen. There are awesome dentists around. We know one dentist that is amazing in Etowah. Dr Brown is gentle and caring and will save teeth instead of just pulling all of them and slapping dentures barbaricly into your bleeding unhealed mouth. You also may use gas. He allows family members to be with you and has the most patience and so calm and kind. No way would I go to Aspen ever again. By the way, for clean healthy teeth use food grade Activated charcoal with coarse sea salt to brush your teeth to make them very white and keep bacteria eating enamel at bay! It's awesome. It will even make the tartar go away with regular brushing unlike all the FDA approved toothpastes. And we use tea tree oil for tooth pain. And at times clove oil and keep the teeth very clean to help make pain go away. Fluoride is poison and apparently doesn't work! read more

BIG MISTAKES!! My last regular cleaning at my dental/dentist appt. was 6 mos prior to making this appt to Aspen. At my last dental, all was good and noting major needed, just my regular cleaning! However, at ASPEN DENTAL, they will NOT just give you your regular dental checkup/cleaning/x-rays! They will tell you "you need a DEEP CLEANING"! THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING EXCEPT TELL YOU (after they've poked/prodded & hurt your gums so bad!), SAYING YOU NEED A DEEP CLEANING! They WILL NOT DO YOUR REG. 6mos checkup.... UNLESS YOU PAY FOR THAT deep cleaning! They tried to make us pay up front! ((WE HAVE 2 DENTAL INSURANCES: BCBS & GEHA. Only they don't pay to have deep cleaning 100% w/o a $65-75 ded.)) This is how Aspen Dental gets more cash pmts. to off set (MAKE MORE) when they are in-network & only get paid so much! NO! We did NOT let this place do anything! I even made sure they did NOT charge my insurance company for anything! Nor did I pay anything either! They will say you need different things done...WHEN YOU REALLY DO NOT! I became the fourth person I know to be scammed by Aspen Dental, all at different locations. They seem to have a practice of doing unnecessary procedures and overcharging for them. I was told I needed a cavity filled and a special deep cleaning for early periodontal disease. I have never been told this by another dentist, but agreed to the treatment only to find out later that the $2000 I had paid out of pocket ("after insurance") had been wasted on treatment that I did not need in the first place. Two coworkers related also having fake cavities filled, and another coworker stated that he was charged for a crown when the procedure was never done, and that Aspen repeatedly blamed his own misunderstanding. Go to a private practicing dentist and avoid this factory healthcare atrocity. You will save money anyway. read more

The dentist and staff were nice expect the office manager. The manager got my anxiety level high right before I was supposed to have an extraction. He cussed an employee out right in front of me and chewed me out. Of course, I chewed him out too. It is in my chart that I have anxiety because I made sure they knew it. I needed my husband to come back with me and they would not allow it. I have never had an extraction before. With my anxiety level getting high It was something I needed. My tooth is still broke and hurts. So shame on him. I do not recommend go somewhere else. read more

If you go here and need a biopsy, I recommend going elsewhere. Below are notes of what I experienced: October 26th - Surgeon was an hour late for biopsy procedure. FYI, Aspens surgeons for this office travel to different offices throughout the week...just what I want...a late road weary surgeon. I was not warned when I was being put under anesthesia which in my opinion is poor bedside manner, I had to ask if that is what he was doing.... Biopsy was taken. Unknown to anyone involved biopsy was then mislabeled and sent to OLD lab address, via US Postal Service, snail mail with NO tracking # ,to UPSTATE NEW YORK I was told usually 1 week, 2 at the most for results by "Office Manager" November 20th -No results ....no effort to find it. I am told by 2 staff members there is a tracking number for my biopsy, but they can't give it to me. There is NO tracking number it turns out...why was I told this...lies. The staff have no clue how to follow up on a biopsy " finding those results is a job for the Office Manager" I am told, who is out on vacation for the next week ...no cross training for the staff here, I guess. 2 separate Aspen staff members actually tell me over the phone that in 2018 there is NO PHONE NUMBER to call the Lab to follow up. And Aspen is okay with not being able to call their Labs? I feel sorry that they believed that BS. Nearly a month has gone by since the biopsy and I decide to call Aspen Corporate to file a complaint in regard to the staff telling me I have to wait for the vacationing Office Manager to return for any information about my very late biopsy. BS Despite talking with two people at the corporate office, on two different days, who both told me someone would call and follow up, no one ever called back from corporate...no one. If you want to have some fun, call the corporate number, 315-454-6000 and follow the prompts for customer service...it tells you to call your local Office Manager!... and if he isn't available call the local Regional Manager. Can't make this up. I call the Aspen office staff for the regional managers phone number, but the Aspen staff will only give me her email. I reach out several times to the regional manager via email, but she never replies...just like corporate...just like the office staff...no action taken...no customer service or complaint process or anyone who seems to care about their customers concerns...let alone their health. Aspen staff finally realize they sent it to the wrong Lab in UPSTATE NEW YORK, because I tell them the Lab has not received it!! .....again shipped via U.S. Postal Service "junk mail" lowest level of service, no tracking. The Lab then had to send someone to retrieve biopsy from old address because of this careless mistake.... why was the old address even still laying around the Aspen office anymore??? November 20th Lab finally receive the biopsy that sat at the old labs address and no one knew it because Aspen does not purchase a tracking number for a $1,500 biopsy??? Horrible November 27th Oral Surgeon calls me just to say.. "must be something rare, no results yet"...that's it.... now...does anyone think this is good bedside manner? He has no useful information but a cryptic message only good for further scaring me?!?!?! Can't make this BS up... December 17th- Results FINALLY received and taken to a new oral surgeon for review. I refused Aspen's diagnosis due to the already EPIC failure on every level of the company. The results are not conclusive, new oral surgeon has to do a 2nd biopsy. The nice thing .....and the way it should be...new surgeons Lab is located in the same town!!! in Cleveland, TN. They hand pick up the sample, no shipping!! Results in 3-4 days expected..... No one from Aspen ever asked me how I was after the procedure, no one from Aspen ever apologized for the poorest of experiences that ....in the end...have to be repeated. There was NO path to file a complaint of any kind. This was my first and last experience. If this had been something fast growing this careless delay would have been very costly....7.5 weeks for a near useless biopsy result...Yay!!!! read more

First a bit of background. Im 33 years old and my teeth are or were atrocious. Living with both the pain and the embarrassment has taken a huge toll. After reading reviews of Aspen Dental as a whole I was very leery and went into this expecting the worst. The first appointment I had minimal wait time and the staff was friendly. The day of the extractions (32 teeth) went better then I thought. The staff was very kind and considerate. My dentist, Paras Shrestha, was as careful as he could be given the state of my mouth and both of his assistants did a great job. If I told him I was in pain he stopped working in that area and went back to it later. He never made me feel bad or like I was a chore or a problem. Once the extractions were done he went about putting in my temp dentures. Sadly my bottoms didnt fit at all which was a bit upsetting but mostly understandable. It cant be easy getting impressions of the mouth while teeth are still present. My top dentures were much much better looking then I would have expected from temp dentures, though which gave me hope for the bottoms once they get them right. As of right now, 6 days later I do not have my bottoms because they have to get new impressions which means letting the gums heal some. No dry socket for me, thank you! LoL Its a little disheartening not to have my dentures yet but understandable given the circumstances. Besides it will give my gums more time to heal making them likely to fit with less adjustments. Nothing about having so much dental work done is easy but I truly feel like the staff at Aspen Dental has made it as easy as is possible. I would recommend my dentist to anyone. read more

Well I went to this establishment to have two teeth extracted. I should also add I have hypertension (aka high blood pressure), well my appointment was at 2pm and I arrived 15 mins before to do paperwork and the such. So at 3:30 pm (that's right a hour and a half past my appointment) they finally call my name for xrays, I get those done in about fifteen minutes then I am escorted to a room with a exam chair,were they where nice enough to turn on Family Feud for me. So at about 4:30pm (yeeeep still watching TV) the hygienist comes in and takes my blood pressure and of course its high, kinda pissed that I had been there so long. So she tells me the doctor will be in soon and leaves the room, so at 5:45 the dentist comes in (I didn't even know they were open this long) says that he can't do anything until my BP comes down and I need to reschedule. So thing is, the website says they have more DDS's on staff than they actually have, I only saw one listed and one working so very understaffed, felt like I was forgotten. I would never EVER go back there after losing the better part of my day for nothing. Epic Fail! read more
