This past summer She went to them again to have them re-lined due to a lose fit. After setting them in place with the mold material, they became stuck in her mouth. the Dentist attempt to pull and pry them out until the pain became far too much for. spent a week without being able to remove them and recovering from the pain. went back for second visit and again the dentist could remove the dentures from her mouth and again put her in extreme pain. 3rd visit they finally were able to remove the dentures and clean out the material they use to form the reline fit. She came back home and never did have the fit corrected. she's 81 yrs old at the time. the still charged her $688. Dentures not fixed, and putting an 81 yr old lady through crazy pain, anxiety and distress. We have since moved out of state for family and home where that is ADA so we can take care of her. When called to split the bill in 2 payments they were upset. After relaying the issues with the failed procedure, continued to ask for her to come back in. 1st, after that torture why would anyone go back for more? 2nd informed them several times during the call that we are now out of state and nowhere close enough to go back anyway. ( still intending to pay the bill ) Even after telling them we would be paying the bill, the were rude and unapologetic. I assume they thought we were just trying to get out of paying a bill. Maybe they should have checked the record of the visits and issues. How can anyone do such lousy work, never complete the work the work, put an 81 year old mobility challenged lady through that much pain, and then not only charge nearly $700 for the pleasure of their company, but also get rude over the billing?

Must READ!! I was advised by my legal representation not to leave this review yet; but in an…read moreeffort to prevent someone else from encountering the same bad experiences I had, I've decided to move forward with this review. My experience with this office was very disappointing. I had a front tooth I needed an implant on and went to Dr. Fretwell to have it completed from start to final restoration of the crown. Before scheduling an appointment to begin, I met with her and asked specifically, "Can you make this tooth look like the crown beside it?" I was told, "Yes, absolutely. We have multiple labs we can use that will be no problem." So I decided to move forward with the treatment process and took $2,025 to start the process. First step was to remove the tooth which led to my gum being split up to the root tip and stitches which took 4 months to heal and gum tissue to grow back down in to place. Next was the implant which gets placed and down to the final stitch being in place, I told her I could feel everything but was told rather than stick me with the needle again she would go ahead and put the last stitch in. This stitch was from the pallet forward and the pain was so bad I almost got sick. Which led to her numbing me again anyway. Once again, the gum tissue was split open but eventually grew back down while waiting for the implant to heal properly. Now its time for the final restoration. I have the impressions and Im excited to have this all put behind me after nearly a year of dealing with all of this. I go in to have the crown placed and its an oversized crown that extends over the gum tissue with pink at the top of the porcelain crown. I rejected it and 4 other tries from the lab to make it look right. Even the assistants in the office said, "That cant be right." I was told by Dr. Fretwell that it was from bone and gum loss... well I wonder why I could possibly have gum loss when its tore open and made to heal repeatedly!!?? So, after several tries and me not being happy with the result. If you can imagine a HUGE tooth next to a smaller front tooth .... hideous!! I was presented with an alternative to achieve the aesthetic look that I was originally promised. The 2 options were to have the crown lengthened on the other front tooth and replace that crown or abandon the implant all together and go with a bridge. I was told my crown on the other tooth needed replaced anyway because it was fractured... but turns out after a second opinion... It was not! On this option... she did offer to pay for the pontic on the implant tooth which would still result in a whole lot more money out of my pocket. Now it has been nearly a year since I started the initial treatment and I will not be stepping back into this office nor will my 3 sons that used to go here. I will be finishing up restoration elsewhere. Beware of this place if you value your smile and money!

I then got a terse email telling me to submit it two days before my appointment or I would be responsible for all cost. I emailed it. Then I got a follow up email that they only received the back and that I need to resend the front. Upon arrival in the office, I was asked to sign the forms I submitted as a new patient, but they couldn't or wouldn't show me what I was actually signing on the electronic pad. The receptionist said "maybe I should get someone else to help you. You can take a seat". 20 minutes later, apparently I'm still in time out. Three people that arrived after me have been taken back. I just asked if I was still in time out. The other person in the reception area looked confused and the original one told me very rudely that she was waiting on someone else who could help me. She was the only one who knew how to do it. I said why don't you just cancel my appointment, to which she replied that is probably for the best. I will be looking elsewhere for my dental care.

He stayed for around 20 minutes and no staff came in and the door remained locked. This wasn't an error on our end, appointment text reminders stated this specific date at 8am, yet no one showed up even after 8am. Called in later at 10am to see if he could be seen at another time today since they missed his appointment, he couldn't be seen today and he would have to reschedule for another day, no exceptions. Lucky for us Cleveland, is chock full of dentists so we'll be going somewhere else where staff actually shows up on time for their patients appointments.
