I will never go to Aspen Dental again! They have terrible service, unprofessional staff, and they try to upsell you on unnecessary services. Last year I went in for a tooth extraction, and the hygienist got angry with me because I refused unnecessary services, and then the dentist rushed me out of the office when I was trying to ask questions about what happened to my. I went to Aspen dental about a month ago, and the staff was very friendly. However, they told me I needed a procedure for gingivitis when they never even looked in my mouth and only took x-rays. I initially went here to get a cleaning (which they never did). I ended up going to a private dental office where they cleaned my teeth, did x-rays, and measured my bone to gum ratio (which is how you can tell if someone is at risk for gingivitis). I had zero signs of this disease. This is a corporate dental place so I am not surprised they tried to make me pay thousands of dollars for no reason. The front desk lady also talked down on private dental offices, which was odd to me. If you can afford it, go to a private practice where they won't try to scam you. read more

Omg .. I Don't Know where to Start ...Ima just say this Garners Ferry Office is Extremely unprofessional when it comes to getting patients the right dental care Vs the money in your pockets.. So about 2 months ago I went back to aspen dental.. mind you I've been going there years back having (3 fill ins & 3 teeth removals) .. They are under new management now & when I went back started me as a new patient !!! I should have known no one in the office or dentistry was experienced enough to be doing any procedures or examination of anyones mouth because they told me the Dr wouldn't see me if I didn't have a certain kind of cleaning which I've NEVER Heard before!! so that would take MORE MONEY on top of whatever procedure or extraction I was going for.. I had to apply for assistance due to not having insurance... Just to be told the examiner who examined my mouth assigned me to the wrong cleaning to receive the procedure I wanted !! the cleaning I really needed was HIGHER than the one she actually requested for me to get !! which caused for me to come out of pocket more cause I had already applied for a certain kind of cleaning help & wouldn't be able to reapply in another MONTH, when I was already in tremendous amount of pain in the first place.. I'm currently paying for dental help that hadn't help me at all !!!!! they told me the cleaning I needed was more & since the "mistake" was on them offered me the cleaning I needed ONLY on the side of the damaged tooth only to let me receive a half-done fill in, that I believe to not being done correctly... now don't get me wrong, I wanted to save my tooth but from a professional Dentist... instead of letting me know a fill-in "may or may not work"... Someone Should of just been honest & told me an extraction would of did me more justice due to the reality of the harmed tooth or RIGHT THEN & there refer me to a REAL Orthodontist. They shouldn't have let me tell them how to do their job just because I didn't want to be toothless or allowed me to apply for dental help & pay hundreds & not get the full help that may have been offered in the first place.. They could of just refused what I wanted done!! the young lady was extremely young that performed my "fill in" which wasn't a problem but when I called back to say I was still having pains in the same tooth nothing was offered.. not even a visit to even see what the young lady had even done to it.. cause now my bite down hurts & I'm STILL only eating on one side!!! Now I'm having to find another dentistry to look at what's causing such irritation to my tooth when I know it's probably an infection now due to the food & whatever slips through the poorly done fill in... ive had pains in the tooth for about a month now & its gotten really bad so I called the office to ask for help with any antibiotics as this is the last place I've received dental work & was Denied for what reason I don't know when this has been the only dentistry I've ever attended on the work of this tooth.. the receptionist informed me that the Dr put in the notes for my last visit that I needed to be seen by an orthodontist so WHAT WAS THE REASON FOR SEEING ME IF YOU COULDNT HELP ME ANYWAYS !!! Just to be left with a payment plan thats literally taking my money for NO REASON !! & IM STILL IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN !! & have to go spend MORE MONEY TO GET HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM... obviously this place was more worried about receiving hundreds for cleanings & not the wellbeing of the patients mouth !!!! I'm going to make sure that whatever the new dentist reports or find I let one know about cause I bet this "fill-in" was a slap & go !! it literally looks nothing like my other teeth as I have 3 fill-ins on my left side !! Was called in early for my appointment. Sat there through probably 6 ppl, one got there at 5:30 and was called back before me. FWIW I was the only person of my ethnicity there and they were very rude to me and never called me back even after seeing me get up and leave and didn't even ask why or give a follow up. Felt very strange and I am not one to ever pull that card. Disgraceful honestly. Insane that a customer could experience such a feeling at the dentist. read more

I would give Aspen Dental 0 stars if I could. I was there for an hour and a half before I even saw the dental hygienist. Once I did finally see her, she said that she could do a cleaning today, but it would be another 45 minutes to an hour. I ended up leaving after a total of two hours and never even saw the doctor to receive my treatment plan. A simple cleaning turned into a total waste of my time. Don't come here. read more

I am calling them every day because they are billing me for the whole amount of procedure and have not even filed my insurance yet... (procedure done 8 months ago) and now debt collectors are contacting me. I have provided them with everything needed and asked for. I have never had to try so hard to communicate with someone that I'm trying to pay. The lady on the phone told me she couldn't get her drop down menu to work to file my insurance...as if that is my problem and not theirs. What is wrong with these people? Who takes 8 months to TRY to file insurance that they accept (BCBS) and still bill me for the whole amount while completely avoiding communication. read more

i went to ASPEN dental to look into getting some dental work that was long overdue. I was wanting some lower dentures. I was quoted this ridiculous price and there was never a mention of options of the type of dentures i was willing to pay for..it was if the dentist viewed my films and TOLD me what needed to be done without the benefit of options. Needless to say i left and didn't return. The MA'S was definitely nice/ professional enough but the dentist is the one that's KILLING this office!!!! read more

Originally went to have my new patient screening in Oct. received my plan which was over $6000.00 with insurance that covers me 80/20! Fast-forward decided to go to a different dentist and requested my office notes and X-rays from Aspen. They told me the only way to get it was to come in office. I asked what if I lived out of state , you couldn't send them to my dentist with a release on file? She told me No!!! I decided to file a complaint with BBB and the American Dentist Association. They also currently have an active class action lawsuit which I am joining... the worst service ever read more

Had an emergency and was able to seen quickly as a new patient. The office staff were very respectful and warm. Waited less than 10 minutes from my appointment time. The assistant, hygienist and the dentist were all extremely nice and knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything they were doing and recommended be done. Sometimes being in the military can be hard.... if you want to make it a lot harder then try relying on Aspen Dental Garners Ferry!!! I'm active duty military and between duty stations (on leave). I experienced a dental emergency and had a filling fall out of one of my teeth. I needed urgent attention for this. I called Tricare (covers active duty when between duty stations for emergencies) and got pre-approval for the work to be done at Aspen Dental. I called Aspen, made the appointment and specifically told them I had to have the filling and this was for emergency work only. They said no problem and proceeded to schedule my appointment. They also assured me they took Tricare (just as Tricare had assured me) and everything would be fine. Fast forward to the appointment and before I can even finish filling out the paperwork the receptionist informs me that 1) They can't do my filling they only can do an exam and they'll have to schedule the filling for another time (this was of course contrary to what their scheduling agent told me and also defeated the whole point of the "emergency" visit) and 2)They couldn't accept me because I wasn't covered; only my dependents were covered by Metlife (via Tricare). I proceeded to tell her I didn't have Metlife and that I was active duty and covered and preapproved by Tricare. I gave her the correct phone number to call on my Tricare card when I saw she was calling the wrong phone number. She refused to call the number to talk to them. Unfortunately, just moving from Japan I'm in between cell phones or I would have called myself. There are so many people that I am so grateful for that go out of their way to help military or even take the time to say hi or thank you. That means the world to me. Aspen Dental does the exact opposite. If you want horrible customer service, want to have your time wasted, or want to be lied to then Aspen Dental is 100 percent for you!!! If you're military or a fan of the military, have a dental emergency, like to be respected as a person, and like at least a barely adequate level of customer service then avoid Aspen Dental like the plague!!! read more

I am highly skeptical of this place. As a woman who had seen many Dentists, Resident Dentist as well as Hygienists in my lifetime... I am pretty aware of how things go. I was suppose to have a cleaning in March but moved from NJ to SC. I see so many of these places I decided to look online to see what services are offered and pricing. I set up an appointment for a free check up & xrays as that's the procedure before any service can be rendered. The policy is understandable but what if a someone has a Dental emergency? Wanna know what I was told by the receptionist??? She me to go to Urgent Care!!!!!! Preposterous! It shows a lack of concern for the patient/potential patient and for people in need of dental service! During my visit I spent the majority of my time with the Dental Assistant taking xrays. And though I applaud Aspen for having digital xrays the device that is attached to piece that is placed in your mouth is very very uncomfortable!! After xrays I am ushered into an open room and the Doc comes in barely takes my teeth with any instrument as a normal Dentist would, and hardly takes a good look inside my mouth. He asks zero to no questions then.proceeds to tell me I need 3 tiny cavities removed. OK.... Im ushered to the receptionist wgo tells me the cleaning and cavities will cost me $1100+ and when would I like to schedule!!!!!!!!!!! I was flabbergasted..... I asked to schedule a cleaning only..... she says its over $100.... I tell her I saw ON THEIR WEBSITE A CLEANING COST $57?!? She comes back with a price of $81 and states the Dentist ordered I have FLUORIDE rinse added to my cleaning. I didn't want to go back and forth I agreed and I was required to PAY IN ADVANCE. Never in my life have I paid for a service in advance. This policy with them leads me to think its only about Money and not the client/patient's satisfaction... and frankly its unprofessional as hell! I go in for my cleaning..... tho the Hygienist was nice, her ckeaning was subpar and sporadic... She made no comments about the health of my gums or teeth, she didnt ask if I knew how to floss she did not Thoroughly go around my gums..... I would recommend no one ever goes here EVER.... I have made it a point to floss everyday use mouthwash and brush for 4 mins as to not have a need to revisit a dentist in the near future. But I will be on the look out for a more upstanding dental practice whos not in it solely for the money..... do not waste your time. Smh read more
