CON ARTISTS!!!! Went in as a new paitent for a normal cleaning and checkup. They take x-rays and the dr does a quick exam. The Dr, who said her name was M, middle eastern lady told me I had a cavity and periodontal disease. I go to the dentist twice a year and it sounded bogus to me. Before my cleaning they have me talk to a different office worker who tells me its going to be over $1000 for a deep cleaning that is not covered by insurance because of my "periodontal disease" Told her that isnt happening and just give me a normal cleaning that is covered by insurance. THEY FLAT OUT REFUSED TO DO A NORMAL CLEANING THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED BY INSURANCE. But they sure as hell billed my insurance for the exam and x-rays, so they used up my benefit while providing no service. Of course that lady smiled at me well you have no out of pocket, your visit is covered by insurance. Dont go here, they will lie to you, waste your insurance benefit and time. I felt like the periodontal diese and the cavity they pointed out was a bunch of made up nonsense so they could keep me coming back and keep billing me/my insurance. read more

It is genuinely worth your time and money to go anywhere else. I came in for what should have been a simple fix: re-cementing an existing crown. Instead, they aggressively filed down my tooth to the point where a crown will no longer stay on for more than three days. I have never had this problem before. As a direct result of what they did, I am now being told I "need" a $7,000 implant surgery--something I did not need when I walked in. To make matters worse, they refused to provide temporary cement to keep the crown in place, essentially leaving me stuck, uncomfortable, and forced into an expensive procedure I didn't consent to or plan for. This experience felt careless, rushed, and completely indifferent to the long-term consequences for the patient. No accountability, no reasonable solution--just a massive bill and a ruined tooth. Hands down the worst dental experience I have ever had. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances. read more

I'm supposed to have an appointment tomorrow, but I literally can't get anyone on the phone to cancel (i have a throat infection). I have gone through the automated system 5 times, and it disconnects and tells me "bye" whenever I press 2 to talk to the desk. If anyone from scheduling is reading this, cancel Stephanie Strong's 3/16 cleaning and I will reschedule at a different time. They were upset because a patient was questioning their practices and procedures. i left and took my wife to a different dentist. price was a third of what she was quoted with them read more

They admitted to screwing up my billing, then didn't process my care credit card properly. So, I had to pay the oral surgeon's bill of $400 out of pocket. Then copped an attitude with my wife when she came in to question them about it. My wife then called care credit to see why the charge from aspen was denied and aspen got angry that my wife did that. read more

I called about an abscessed tooth and was scheduled for an appointment at this location at 8am the following day. When I got there, no one was in the office. Over an hour of calling other locations and the Aspen answering service, all I was told is they can't page the on call doctor because it's my first visit. Meanwhile, I'm in agony and scrambling to find another place to get care last minute. Terrible experience, would not recommend. read more

The dentist in the Columbia TN location seemed to know what was wrong with my husband's tooth, and prescribed an antibiotic. He gave them the name of the pharmacy (I was on the phone with him while he was at the office when he asked me what pharmacy to use so I know that he gave the the correct pharmacy). The prescription was not electronically sent nor called into the correct pharmacy. That was yesterday. The rx has still not been received by the pharmacy, I called the dental office this morning only to be told that it would be at least an hour and a half before the dentist could attend to this. In the meantime my husband has a painful abscess with no resolution. I called Aspen customer service and they were not able to help either (something about HIPPA even though I was able to provide info about my husband and all that was needed was to contact the local office and have the antibiotic called into the pharmacy). The rx was ordered yesterday, it would simply be a matter of the office staff sending the rx to the correct location as should have been done initially. They were unwilling/unable to even do that. This is poor patient care, actually somewhat negligent. I cannot recommend Aspen Dental, and will not use them in the future. read more

Aspen Dental in Columbia, TN is the worst place for getting dentures. They push you into buying temporary dentures for six months and tell you to come get a soft liner. It didn't help me my teeth were falling out of my mouth. I couldn't eat in public. I had a tough time eating at home. I had two cavities and they didnt supposedly didn't see. I had to show them where they and of course, I had to make another appointment for that. I finally got my final dentures. They couldn't get in until after seven months. I was thinking oh, I've finally getting them. I was rejoicing but, that feeling didn't last very long. These dentures were the most ill fitting things I've ever had. I just paid four grand for the worst. I went in for a soft liner. The wait time was 1.5. I sat there a while and my tension just built up. I went to the front desk to tell them take me off the schedule. My time is just as valuable as theirs. My advice to you is to go to a private dentist. It would be cheaper. All these people are just money whores! If there was a below star that I would rate it 5 below. read more

I went in for some fillings and the doctor kept leaving because another doctor was MIA and his patient was waiting. The hygienist and doctor kept talking back and forth about his personal issues and saying he often falls asleep in his car and is late for patients. Very unprofessional! After my procedure my teeth hurt for 3 weeks after. I had an appointment to do my left side and I'm just going to find someone else because I don't trust these people. They're front desk is always changing, you never see the same people. The finance lady is rude and the overall vibe is hectic and unorganized. Don't go here. Went to Aspen because of the location of their business. Worst mistake I ever made going there. The only time they are caring is before they get your money. Then it goes in the potty real fast. I saw a ( Doctor) for a molding fitting and then it was young girls that have the worst training I ever saw. I would be ashamed to put them out there as reps working on the public. I am 70 years old and disabled. They were pulling on both sides of my mouth and when I complained the ignored me. I took their hands out of my mouth and complained of the pain. They said they had to do it so a tech could see inside my mouth. They made a pair of dentures and when they fit so bad they had to make another pair. Every time they stuck the dentures in it was hurting my mouth but they ignored my pain. I have a pair that after two hours I have to take them out because of the pain. I wrote a review on their website and it was erased the next day. Apparently they only want 5 star ratings up on their website. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. Not even a phone call from them about their product. Don't go just a training place for rookies. read more

I went to Aspen to have 2 teeth extracted and they took care of me pain free. I was in and out within an hour, and they were so courteous. They touched base with me a few days after to make sure things were going well. Dr Reddick and Chelsea were amazing and made sure I was numbed up well, and made sure I was comfortable. read more

My family and I went to Aspen Dental over the Christmas Break. WE have a regular dentist in Franklin TN and thought we would go local because we live in Columbia TN. I asked to have a 6 month checkup and cleaning for myself, my daughter and my husband. I went back and they took so many X RAYS! My mouth was cut on inside from having that bite wing put in my mouth over and over and over. (keep in mind my family and I have our teeth cleaned every 6 months.) The tech took me back after the xrays and proceeded to ask me what problems I have. I let her know I needed to have my teeth cleaned and didn't really have any issues. The tech then did her exam. Then left me in the room for 45 min. I got up and went around the corner to see what was going on. The dentist came back after I went to find help. She told me that I had periodontal disease, I needed a root Canal and 2 fillings. My jaw dropped. I asked the Doc if I was going to get a cleaning. She said it would be against the law to clean my teeth now that she had given me this diagnosis!!!! I turned and asked the tech how my teeth and gums looked. She said that I didn't even have any plaque to remove. Then I asked about having the cleaning again and they told me it is really a pointless process, we are only polishing your teeth. I asked my I needed a root canal on a tooth that isn't bothering me... they said that it will so I need it now! I looked at the xray and asked where the infection was? There isn't any. I looked at the dentist and said, I can wait for the infection, that tooth has been like that since my kids was 3, she is now 18. I can wait. I didn't try to ask about the "cavities". I said thank you and got up. Went to find my daughter. The dentist was showing her how she needed to have 4 fillings. I looked over her xray and said ok, thank you. Are you going to clean her teeth, I asked The dentist said that the tech didn't have time today. I said ok, told my daughter to get up and we went to find my husband. My husband was sitting in a chair talking with a dentist. He was advised that he needed a partial, he needed to put a cap on a healthy tooth because it was next to a cap and would get a cavity someday. I looked at my husband, said when you are done, come find me, I am going to check out up front. that was another problem. I paid what they said was due for the days exams. the receptionist told me that I wasn't going to get any surprise bills,,, yes I did ask her that. She said that if the bill they gave me is wrong and more is due they would eat the difference. Well today I got a bill after visit my regular prior dentist, who cleaned my teeth, took an xray and told me that I DO NOT have periodontal disease, I do not need any fillings and I do not need a root canal. He chuckled and told me that my teeth, gums and mouth were healthy and cleaner than most they work on. read more

The staff, office management, and dentists were incredible. I dread dental appointments, but they made it a positive experience. They were educational, thoughtful, and went out of their way to help me look up insurance information when I had given them incorrect details. Most medical offices just leave you on your own to figure this out. I had a medical emergency and they immediately fit me in the schedule as well. If their goal is to treat everyone who comes in as special, they accomplish this feat with ease. I am a loyal customer now. The dental hygienist is friendly as are the dentists, but scheduling an appointment is awful! They've canceled my appointment twice. I asked them to call if there were any cancellations and never heard from them, so when I called to schedule again the receptionist was somewhat rude and would only tell me one day they had available, or I could come in today... last minute.. If you knew you had availability today why not call me last week so I could plan to come in?? This company company overcharged me for a basic cleaning and I was billed later for it. I thought I was getting a good deal until I was finished and they quoted me like $9,000 worth of work I needed. I had to reschedule due to a bogus diagnosis and I never returned because I refuse to pay more money for another visit when it all should have been done in one for a basic cleaning. I have always kept up my dentist appointments and I have good teeth. Unfortunately I waited until after my visit to look up the reviews.. they have a ton of complaints all across the country! the receptionist was very rude on the phone & in person; I had my xrays done & waited forever to get my results to find out they were too lazy to give me a basic cleaning the same apt [no cavities] & they were too grossly incompetent to bill my insurance quickly & had the nerve to send me a bill.....with extra bs charges on it.....upon waiting hrs for nothing wasting my day off....I went to use the bathroom & a drunk hillbilly came out & there was a beer can in the trash....way to keep in classy Columbia! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt & tried to resch in nashville - the receptionist was also rude - I then had to go out of my way to pick up the x rays since the receptionist was too incompetent to send them to my new dentist! awful! they had a stack of peoples x rays at head reception from a shit ton of unhappy customers when I went to pick mine up!!!! read more
