I had my consultation and heard the price breakdown, then visited other companies to make sure I was getting the best services. I came back to Wang Vision, and I'm still very happy with my choice. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the procedures and helped me feel secure in my decision. There was a student/trainee that attended my consultation with Karen, and I was glad to hear that they take so many students for training at this location. (The student did a great job, too!) Cameron made sure that I felt supported and explained my available options in a very accessible way. Dr. Jones and his assistant performed the surgery in a separate room, and the procedure itself was very fast (like 20 minutes under the laser). Admittedly I sat under the machine for a bit longer because they had to wait for my eyes to numb, so the entire consultation session (redone during day of surgery) and actual surgery took about 3 hours. Then, you go back the next day for a follow up to make sure everything looks ok. I have overall felt supported and informed in my decision to go with Wang Vision Institute. LASIK surgery is a big decision, and I'm very happy with my decision. Plus, they have a really cool lobby.

Dr. Zimmerman proposed two ways my surgery can be done, one gets both eyes to 20/20, the other one that could help me read without relying as much on reading glasses (I need reading glasses at my age). We used correction glasses and tried both scenarios, he was very detailed in explaining and informing me both solutions and what they entail in the future. I was able to make an informed decision. And finally, it was doctor Guduru who performed the surgery. It was a great success, and without any pain or adverse feelings. I was sent home with a post surgery care package and instructions on recovery. This is a very professional practice with the highest standards in vision care, I would recommend to everyone who needs Lasik or other vision procedures.

He likes to work with water jets, saying they do as good a job as lasers and he doesn't like passing the larger cost onto his patients! My husband and I decided on implanted corrective lenses! The cost was significant, and Dr. Horn was actually apologetic about the expense. Really though, how can one out a price on vision? In one eye is a far distance lense, and a "reading" lens in the other. The brain figures it out and makes the connection. I see twigs on tree branches for the first time in years, and my reading glasses are a thing of the past! Dr. Horn himself is more than a superlative ophthalmologist, he's a warm, compassionate man who truly wants the best for his patients. I received a second opinion at Vanderbilt Eye Institute after indicating during both of my post operative exams that I had no vision improvement following surgery and a haziness in the operative eye which was not resolving - both doctors I saw (not my original surgeon who was unavailable) told me they could see nothing unusual, and that I should just postpone my second eye a week. I will not have my second eye surgery - my vision is not bad enough to warrant surgery and I'm very upset that Loden Vision seems to push surgery rather than looking at the best needs of patients. Use caution and be fully aware of your condition before undergoing any surgery!!!

She has the most amazing analytical approach to making prescriptions, and explaining everything. Never had an eye exam like this in all my life. She was even able to have me try on the lenses she recommended using a modular glasses kit. These were for viewing computer monitors for work, so she had me test it out on her monitor. This is the most advanced setup I have ever seen. She spent triple the amount of time with me than any other eye doctor. Do not go anywhere else!

I took a star off bc they literally told me nothing about aftercare. I woke up the day after and it felt like someone poured sand in my eyeholes. I couldn't open my eyes for three days. I was basically helpless and had not prepared for that. But the service they actually provided has been spectacular after the first awful week & the three months w reading glasses. I had -8.75 left & -5.25 w astigmatism right. I was practically blind. I now have 20/20 NINE YEARS LATER. Crazy. I also took "super vision" vitamins from trader joes for one year after surgery.
