Came here because insurance covered. I do not recommend this dentist if you are a Humana Medicare patient. Humana gives a $1,000 benefit and this one visit took it all. And it was just an exam and a deep cleaning. I do not know if it has to do with the dentist's prices or the way Humana works (doesn't have 2 cleanings a year). But we were disappointed. As for their service, they take FOREVER to see you. Came for a few different appointment times and it seems they are always making you wait. Do not waste your time or hard earned money at this sham of a medical practice. I took my wife to have her wisdom teeth looked at and they pressured her with fear saying she had gum disease and needed extensive work done. We found out later that this was a complete lie. She was also in a lot of pain and they refused to do anything or give her narcotics unless a massive down payment for surgery was given. I went into this office for an emergency extraction. Ok it went well. The doctor made a "treatment plan" that I can obviously not afford. I called several times asking if it was possible to instead of doing what the doctor wanted I could get a partial because that is all i can afford at the moment. I was treated rudely by the person who answered the call. The doctor will not do what I need him to do because "down the line I will still need a denture". Ok i know and for "down the line" i can save for it. At this moment I just can't afford it. They see you have insurance and want to drain you. AD called Friday saying they were rescheduling my Monday appointment so the hygenist wouldn't have to stay until my 4 p.m. appointment--something AD has done to me repeatedly--but then said for me to come as scheduled. Monday morning they called to say I needed to come at 1 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. because of "safety" concerns because a "water leak is flooding the office." Wouldn't they need to cancel all appointments if it were flooding and unsafe as the receptionist said? I never liked AD, and I now don't trust them. read more

I scheduled a cleaning over the phone for July 19, 2021 for my son and I at Aspen Dental in Dalton. I specifically wanted our 6 month cleaning and exam that my dental insurance pays for. My son and I arrived 15 minutes early and they took X-rays and had the hygentist look at our teeth. They did not clean them. They wanted us to return another day for the cleaning. I will no ever return here. I scheduled a cleaning and did not get it. I believe they are scamming people with repeat visits for things they can do in one visit. read more

This place is just a money pit. Can't never get anyone on the phone, and if you're lucky enough to get someone to answer the phone, they will say that they can't hear you then hang up. Aspen started out with great service and slipped into a mess very quickly. Having pail 5k for dental work, i was suprised when i arrived for my 4pm appointment that the debtal assistant told me thar they no longer do temporary denture linings adter 4pm. I have not been contacted about any more appointments and thwy still owe me a lot of denture work or money. I have left several messages but not a single call back. I am leaving Aspen Dental in Dalton. I just wanted say that they have been wonderful! I have a new top and bottom set of dentures. "Dr. Matthew Wiles" and dental assistant "Lesley" made me feel so comfortable. I was embarrassed and nervous when I first went in. They were so pleasant and respectful. Genuinely taking the time to make sure that everything was done right and with the least amount of pain possible. I can't say enough about how wonderful they have been!!! I wouldn't send my worst freakin' enemy to Aspen Dental! They are absolute garbage. I was lied to EVERY step of the way. They mangled my mouth. My gums look like a city skyline now. My dentures have never fit properly. I can't eat with them in, which was the WHOLE freakin' point of getting them in the first place! $15,000 down the freakin' tubes. I was one of the people who gave them five stars after the first visit. I agreed they were very nice, but I gave them zero stars after my treatments. I don't like the way they practice. I wrote a review with 1800 words, but it didn't fit into the space. Therefore, long story I make it short. I was going to have a filling and a crown (about $1600 work), but I ended up having $4521 "work" in Aspen. I had a dental exam and cleaning in another dental office this April. Because that dentist was not the provider of my insurance company, I had to change dentist for my filling and crown. Aspen didn't accept my dental record from my prior dentist. I thought that was fine because they gave their new patients free X-ray. Now I understand why they don't accept the dental record from another dental office. Most dentists accept dental record from another dental office. They use their own "High" standard so that they can charge more. First time I visit Aspen was in May. The hygienist gave me a dental exam, and then the dentist talked with me and persuaded me to have a gum treatment. She said that my gum had some problem, and my teeth would fall off if I didn't treat it, but she didn't show me my perio chart. I asked whether they had a periodontal specialist. She said that they had one in another office and the specialist could come by appointment. I knew that I should not have a serious problem because I had my teeth cleaning twice a year. My prior hygienist didn't say that I had any gum disease, but she said that I didn't clean my last molar very well. Plus, most of the dental offices don't provide gum treatment. Therefore, I thought that was the best time that I would have a deep cleaning if it were a necessary treatment. I asked the benefits specialist (Ms. M) to call my insurance company to make sure that my insurance would pay 50% of the treatment cost. I told her that I would not want the treatment if my insurance company wouldn't pay 50% of the cost. I believe that it is a necessary treatment if my insurance pays for it. After she was on the phone for a while, she told me that my insurance would pay 50% of the cost. Therefore, I had financial aid plan for $2241 after my insurance. Ms. M didn't explain anything about the treatment. She only told me the price of the gum treatment about $3000. I asked her whether this price included the free perio-maintenance. She didn't say anything and only gave me a pretty smile. I assumed that the price included the perio-maintenance. The second visit I had my gum treatment. The same hygienist who did my exam did the treatment. It took less than 30 minutes. I felt something wasn't right. It was too expensive for $3000 treatment in 30 minutes with a hygienist, but I thought it was all right because it included free maintenance. After three months of my gum treatment, I had my first perio-maintenance. When I checked in, the receptionist asked me to pay $96 for the maintenance. I questioned why I needed to pay it. I thought that my dental plan (finance plan) had included the cost for the maintenance. Ms. M said that the maintenance was $299. Because my benefit had maximized, I needed to pay $96 for the remaining. She said that was in the paper. Yes, I should check my dental plan. I never checked my dental plan for my previous dentists because I trusted their professionalism. My previous dentists told me everything that I should know, but this dentist didn't tell me the things that I should know. The most embarrassing thing was that they made me pay $96 before my Maintenance cleaning. Moreover, this cleaning was the worst cleaning I had never had. It was another hygienist. During the cleaning, I had to stop her a few times to dry my neck and my face. After the cleaning, my collar was wet. However, she took about 40 minutes to clean my teeth, longer than the first time. They never showed me my perio chart. After all my treatment, I asked the copies of my perio charts. I was shocked. Most of my gum have 5's, and some of them even have 6's. I had dental exams this March and April, and both dentists didn't say that my gum was so bad. However, I had my teeth cleaned twice a year. If my gum health was so bad, my dentists would tell me. I got a copy of my perio chart in this April from another dentist. My gum didn't have any 5's. They used "HIGH" standard. However, I compared the chart from May and August (same standard). My gum health hasn't improved a lot, some of them even worse than before. For example, my #18 tooth was 3 2 6 and 3 2 5 at May, but it was 5 3 5 and 5 3 5 at August. How does this happen? I paid about $1500 out of pocket for gum treatment, but I didn't get the result that it should be. I questioned Ms. M about the result, and she said that she could make an appointment for redoing the work. After these unpleasant experiences, I don't want them to touch my teeth anymore. I went in as a new patient for a checkup on a broken tooth. They ended up telling me i had to get it pulled which i was nervous about because i've never gotten a tooth extraction but the staff was very nice and they made me feel very comfortable. I believe they are scamming people out of money. I have reported them and I am currently seeking legal action. They made me prepay for services that they didn't perform. When I asked for a refund they stated that could not put a credit back to my card but they would leave as credit on my account which mysteriously is not there after a few weeks. Well now their system has changed and they have no financial records of anything anymore. The next issue they incorrectly filed my insurance so the claim was kicked out and they tried to bill me. I went to location 7 times with insurance info to fix. Each time they were "resubmitting" and never did. Finally after 8 months someone got it fixed which paid the bill in full but while I was begging them to fix the problem THEY caused they sent it to collections which has now appeared on my credit causing me issues getting a home. I have asked them to correct once again and they said they can't help me because they don't have any financial records since they changed systems 3 weeks ago. Got invisalign, but after months, asked them if finished or still have trays.they can't answer me straight. just keep saying will call me if still have or no more,but never happened. and keep pushing back my appointment. I have a tooth another dental office said that needs extracting and replacing. I was not told this three/four months earlier. 1) They also charged me for a filling they didn't do and I have to pay for it again with another dental office. 2) I tried to explain to them that I have to use children's impression trays, but they ignored that and used adult impressions and then while in the chair lifted my leg by grabbing my pants at shin level and pulling up on my leg when I started gagging. Hello ignoramus get the children's impressions instead, duh. 3) They over charged me and I ended up (with insurance) forking out 1,300.00 for everything that needed to be done. They aren't professional, and they can't add, or give straight answers. I wish I could give them a -10 but it's not an option. gotta go now, have to fill out a report with the commission on dental accreditation on that website I provided above. They can bring in as many false accounts to put in 5 star reviews but believe me, we whom have put up a 1 star have a good reason, we don't want you to go through what we did. I had a tooth pulled out about a month ago at the dalton location and the dentist broke off a chunk of the neighboring tooth. They glued it back on but since then I have pain in that tooth. They could have charged me less the least they could have done. I've called the office to schedule an appointment with the owner numerous times but have not got a call back from them. I would give zero stars. Because of the quarantine, they kept pushing back my appointment. Understandable. The quarantine is over. Things are opening back up and going back to normal. And I haven't gotten a message to reschedule my appointment. So I figured I'd call to confirm my appointment for Monday. The girl who answered said they couldn't make an appointment for Monday because they're booked. I repeat that I'm not trying to make an appointment, I'm trying to confirm it and see at what time it was. She said she'd have to reschedule me for the 26th bc they weren't seeing anyone on Monday. So she rescheduled me for mid-day on the 26th. Not even 2 minutes after I'm done with that call, I get a call from them. This girl tells me, "I'm just calling to confirm your appointment for Monday". I'm confused so I say, "I literally JUST got off the phone with you guys. I called to confirm my appointment for Monday but they rescheduled me for the 26th. So which is it, Monday or the 26th?" The girl says, "Well I didn't know you were rescheduled. I have an open slots for Monday or for 8 or 3 on the 26th. Which do you want". I'm like, "They told me 1 on the 26. So why are you telling me Monday or 2 different times on the 26th? You're not listening to me. If they rescheduled me for the 26th a couple minutes ago, then why are you now trying to make a different appointment for me for that day? And why are you telling me you're available on Monday if the other girl said you aren't seeing anyone that day?" So all she could do was ask if I wanted to keep it for the 26th. Freaking idiots. I told her to keep the appointment and hung up. But I'm going to look for another doctor. I'd rather spend a few more bucks elsewhere knowing I'm getting my money's worth before I ever step foot in that place. read more

My dentist relocated to another state and I was a little hesitant to give Aspen a try, but Dr. Henry at Aspen was great! Polite enough front desk crew. I made my appointment a month early. The day before they had to reschedule me because they double booked my time. When I arrived 15 minutes early, they were closed for lunch. so waited outside. When I got in, they had not requested my paperwork from my previous dentist (another Aspen) so I had to do all my own paperwork. That's what you get for waiting till the last minute to do your job. First time going to a dentist in a long while. The receptionist was very welcoming, she did a good job answering my questions. The person who did my x-rays did a very good job of explaining what was happening and why they were putting various pieces of plastic into my mouth. They were efficient when checking my gums and the dentist was very helpful. I'm grateful that they didn't make me feel guilty or bad about not going to the dentist over the last several years.
