But they did a deep cleaning on teeth that were going to be extracted. Yeah I had them pulled but then had a bruise on the outside of my mouth as well as inside of my mouth. Went to the wrong location on accident, so I called this location to let them know I would be 13 mins late and apparently they have a 10 minute wait policy I have a broken tooth that needs extracted immediately I was actually crying on the phone due to the pain and to find out I had to reschedule my appointment for the next morning was absolutely disappointing, like I don't matter... I would not recommend to work here they don't care for their staff or for their patients. I had a a bad experience with the Ormond office the hygienist was being physical and was very rude with my patients and myself and the office manager along with HR did not do anything to resolve the issue the office manager made the situation worse as the hygienist sarita was still very aggressive and disrespectful not only did they not care but this continued for 4months after I would bring it to their attention they would blame me and that wasn't far when someone threatens to hit you . Originally went to Aspen for a checkup and was told I needed two crowns, two fillings and had gum disease. Once seeing another dentist for another opinion after having the first crown done with Aspen I was told I did not need a second crown, I in fact did NOT have gum disease at all and I didn't even have any cavities. This was all after Aspen wanted to charge me 6000 for work I didn't even need and hid a fee of an almost 500 toothbrush in my charges without asking me if I even wanted it. Do not go here. I went there because 2 of my fillings cracked. The male dentist said "oh your teeth are unsalvageable" we need to pull 4 of them out" He didn't even tap or check on it if I have pain or whatever. I asked ok if my wisdom teeth needs to be pulled out, where or who do you recommend for an oral surgeon? And he said " we do it here all the time!" I went to an orthodontist and she tapped my broken teeth and the 2 teeth that the aspen Dentist said that it's unsalvageable ... it is still good for root canal. I had a terrible experience with Aspen dental on International Speedway in Daytona Beach. It started with the x-ray tech who jammed the device into my mouth several times scraping my mouth and causing me to gag. She seemed to be in a speed race and was exasperated with my gagging. She was rude and condescending. When I told her she was condescending she argued with me. Bad first impression. Just getting the x-rays done was a painful and upsetting experience. The dental hygienist then examined me, not the doctor, the hygienist gives me a diagnosis. That was weird. I would expect the doctor to do this. Finally the doctor arrives, looks at my mouth for a few seconds, does not give me a diagnosis or treatment and the visit is over. The billing guy tells me I need "surgical deep cleaning". What? I have never needed this before. He reiterated I needed "a surgical deep cleaning for $2000." He would not allow me to get a regular cleaning. This seemed to me like he was requiring me to have a treatment that was more than what I needed. I came in for a regular cleaning. This looks like fraud to me. So I notified my insurance and went back 2 days later to get my x-rays. When I arrived at the end of the day, I had to wait to get my records. While waiting I could plainly see another patient's records on the receptionist's desk. This is a HIPAA violation! I would not trust this place to protect my health privacy or provide the correct treatment. I would never recommend them. read more

I warned my daughter about dental chains, but she is young and didn't listen to me. When she went in for her appointment they told her they were unable to process her insurance so she paid them $130 upfront. Later, my daughter called the office with me and a dental insurance rep on the line. I provided them my personal information so that the claim could get processed. Also, I spoke with Roberto who claimed that my daughter's credit card was never charged. We thought everything was fine. However, the credit card was charged. So about a week later we called again to check on the claim and they stated they were unable to file the claim due to not being able to verify the insurance. So, we called again, with the insurance rep on the phone and provided the information once again. It's been about 3 weeks now and they still have not filed the claim. My daughter called once again and they are asking for my personal information, again stating they are unable to verify the insurance. At this point I am advising my daughter to file a dispute with the credit card company as well as file a complaint with the BBB. I have also gone to the trouble to freeze all my credit because now I have the added anxiety of these people stealing my identity. read more

Used Aspen because it was on my insurance plan. My first appt was canceled and had to reschedule. Next appt I had my 11 yr old because I didn't want to leave her home alone so they would not see me. I just wanted my teeth cleaned and a check up but was told I had 2 cavities and gum disease! They did not clean my teeth and only took x-rays and measured how much my gums were receding. I had to get the treatment in 2 visits, plus was given toothpaste and mouth rinse $$, one for left side and one for right side. Now I am a little suspicious about the gum disease and cavities ??I paid $339 and insurance paid $218 and now they are billing me another $463 because they billed using an "OUT OF NETWORK PROVIDER"! how is that OK? I have been calling the office for 6 months and they tell me every time that they will "fix it" but I am still getting billed! My husband warned me not to go there ... I should have listened! I will not go back until the billing is corrected ... if ever! read more

I've never seen a dentist office work so hard to assist in our overall goals for our oral health. They have very fair pricing and went above and beyond to compromise on pricing to provide all efforts to make our goals happen at an expense we can afford. Dr. Santelli is our all time favorite dentist, she is always so curteous and kind. She's worked hands on with the office manager James who was also very helpful in creating a plan that worked for us. We walk in for an 8 am appointment (right when the place opens) and are told the hygienist called out sick. This place has text notifications, but we drove all the way here expecting to get in. Although it was kind of suspicious when we got a text saying "see you at 9" for an appointment at 8. Then they check your gums, by poking and prodding, and make you sign a form that you will have a "deep root cleaning" done prior to your other services. Guess how much THAT costs? Only $4000.00 which you don't know until you check out. I went to check into getting a new upper bridge. After listening to the Doctor's ridiculous suggestions, I walked out, but NOT before getting an estimate. The bridge alone would be $8,000.00. Google it........... My insurance provider changed and they assigned me to Aspen Dental.. I went in for a routine cleaning. I was told that I had Periodontal (gum) Disease.. Unfortunately this disease is not curable. Fortunately Aspen Dental could help prevent this disease (which I was told leads to Alzheimers, Stroke, and/or Diabetes if gone untreated) from getting worse.. All I had to do was come in for a $1,400 "Deep Cleaning" the next week and then come in every 3 months basically for the rest of my life to ensure the treatment is working......... Came home read all the complaints on Aspen Dental and decided to get a second opinion.. Went to Greenberg Dental for the same routine cleaning.. Told them nothing about my trip to Aspen... Greenberg told me my teeth and gums were 100% healthy and that there were not even signs of Gingivitis (which comes before Periodontal) There have been several lawsuits against Aspen Dental.. And a local undercover news story that is on You Tube... Do your research and stay away. read more

If I could post no stars, I surely would! Was the worst dental experience of my life! I went in to have 2 teeth extracted. The dentist was so rough I thought he was going to either break my neck or pull my head off! Upon extracting one of the teeth, he also knocked off an adjacent crown. He roughly slapped some glue on it and put it back on. Problem is it isn't sitting in the same position as prior to the extraction. It is sitting higher and my bite is not the same. I now wondering if he didn't clean it up good enough or really care how it was put back on. He is just a slam bam type of dentist with absolutely NO bedside manner! I also have numerous sores in my mouth from the roughness of the procedure and my neck and jaw ached for days afterward and still does and the mouth sores are killers. I will never go back there and I hope this review will save someone else from enduring this kind of dental abuse. STAY AWAY read more

I went there for an initial visit and wanted to get a teeth cleaning, and they gave me an estimate that it would cost $2600 with my insurance. They take you into an office and shut the door and try to pressure you into paying that amount that day or applying for credit to pay! I felt a little weird about the entire situation so I went to a another dentist to get a 2nd opinion and my cost there to fix two cavities and get a teeth cleaning with my insurance was $95! A HUGE difference from Aspen's estimate of $2600! I understand there are differing opinions in treatment but a different of $2500!!! When I asked to have my xrays transferred to the other dentist the receptionist was so rude she continued to hang up on the new dentists office and myself. They kept telling me its not "their policy" to send xrays to another provider even with my written consent and I have to come in and pay for them. I've had records transferred from other doctors offices with no hassle in the past. This is yet another way for them to make more money off of you. The worst! I waited for over an hr for the first visit and was charged double for the service. They broke a pc of my jawbone off pulling a tooth, chipped a tooth filling 1 tooth! (The waiver you sign protects them from liability) My face was swollen for days and the pain I endured was unimaginable! But I figured no pain, no gain and scheduled another appt. I should have found another Dentist at that point! I chose Aspen because it's a 1 stop shop for everything, NOT a good decision! They cancelled several appointments and had me wait 1/2 an hour for a visit only for them to tell me the dentist wasn't in. The last time I waited over 2 hrs, I kept asking and they kept telling me they were getting me back in a minute for my xrays. My appt was at 5pm, at 7:10 I finally had enough and told them to refund my money and I left. I believe they wanted to get rid of me as a patient because they damaged my teeth. After my first visit which took two hours I went into a consultation room that I didn't really want to now have a guy telling me what I needed money for a cleaning..it's going to be so I didn't end up using my insurance which entitle me to two cleanings a year, but now they say I needed another kind of cleaning that's going to be $64 so I didn't get anywhere and I still need the cleaning that I'm entitled to it with my insurance. My experience was not good. The doctor who pulled my tooth caused so much pain that it had me shaking. I have never had this experience when having a tooth pulled. He gave me four pills that were said to be antibiotics all at the same time. Afterward the nurse who was supposed to make sure my partials fit back in stuck the corner of my lip with the metal. Even though she apologized it still hurt. It has been a while and my mouth is still not well yet. This experience made me stop and think about rather or not I want you all to do the rest of my work.I could not recommend them to anybody but you will have to make your own decision. My decision is because of the pain of the pulling of my tooth, the shaking that my body did while I was being worked on, I fear that their work could have caused other problems. read more
