Dr. Mike's Water's Edge Dental is incredible. I started the process of getting replacement veneers a few years ago with the previous dentist on staff. I jumped through all of the hoops and started to feel taken advantage of throughout the process. Enter Dr. Mike. He is incredibly kind, communicative and considerate with his patients. I had my very first visit on Nov. 10, 2025 with this dental office and was very,very pleased! From the attractive, handicapped friendly entrance and front desk to meeting and being cared for by the hygienist. The taking of X-rays etc. was accomplished with great attention to my handicap making it a good experience for me. The cleaning was exceptional. I have never had a more pain free cleaning yet extremely good results. The dentist , "Dr. Michael" is most pleasant and easy to communicate with. He did an exam using photos from X-rays for better understanding on my part and gave me much info as to what I can do at home to better my own care of my teeth too. As did "Tina" also. I left my appointment feeling really good about having such a pleasant experience for a health need I usually dread . So glad I found this dentist !!! read more

My new dentist noticed a problem with a new 1 1/2 year old crown by Dr Bannan at Water's Edge Dental. When I went back, Dr Bannan would not admit any negligence, but did agree to fluoride treatment. I sincerely believe Dr Bannan missed some of the old decay while repairing tooth. I do NOT recommend Dr Bannan, and would never trust him to work on my teeth again. After selling my condo, I was temporally renting in port orange until my new apartment was ready. Having problems with an old filling, repaired a few times, and an old crown led me to find a new dentist in my area. Waters's edge dental seemed the best choice so agreed to have both teeth crowned. When making appointment a large deposit was required. How odd I thought; I have never paid a deposit at any dentist. Several months after the new crowns, my apartment was ready and decided to find a more convenient dentist. During routine x-rays, my dentist noticed a problem with one of the crowns from water's edge dental. It had only been a little over a year, and very expensive, so I attempted to get an appointment at water's edge. They were reluctant at first and informed me that I had to pay. Eventually I got an appointment without cost and sent them my x-ray. Dr Bannan wasn't very pleased and didn't believe my story, requesting to speak with my new dentist. After which he stated there may be some decay starting, while intimating reluctance to work on tooth again, and suggested a fluoride treatment, but would do whatever I wanted. Not wanting to go through that ordeal again I agreed to fluoride treatment and then again in one month. At my second visit, although afraid of ordeal, I stated I wanted tooth repaired. Dr Bannan abruptly stated there was nothing clinically (I believed the verbiage he used) wrong with the crown, no matter what the x-ray revealed. So why the fluoride treatment if crown was OK, I asked myself? I would not recommend Dr Bannan or go back again. read more

They done me Dirty. Went there with a fitting upper denture for a Reline! Left with a Reline denture that doesn't fit. Went back for an adjustment,Dentist lied to me, can never trust them again. I can see why they only get 2 1/2 Stars on Google. Will try a Legal route to get this Denture to fit properly we're I can wear again. Sad! My family and I have been going to Dr. Bannan for years. Wonderful dentist and staff. Everyone is very friendly and professional.

I moved here and started going to this clinic at first it was fine I just had my routine cleaning. The second time I went. The technician was very rough. Her name was Tina. My mouth was bleeding when I left and highly inflamed. After they cleaned my teeth, when my mouth was all swollen, they decided to take x-rays. They also told me I needed two implants and a bone graft a CT scan. I had no pain before I went in and I already had a bridge I tried to get the co-pay on my insurance and the finance lady was acting very strange about the whole transaction and wouldn't give me my co-pay. She said she really didn't want to call me because it was gonna be so expensive $14,000. How do you sided that point I would not continue with this clinic. I went to another doctor and got a second opinion, and there was no work that needed to be done and I have very good hygiene and there are no problems in my mouth. I do not recommend this business. read more

My wife called today to schedule an appointment for both of us. We decided not to go with this dentist because of how rude the receptionist answering the phone was. She was not professional at all and answered questions with an attitude and "YUP!" She also was extremely rude when telling her about our insurance information because she has "never even heard of that" but it's a nationally recognized insurance from the government/military. If this is an indication of how patients will be treated when entering this office, we want nothing to do with it. read more

My tongue was cut in two places on my visit by the dentist at this office. I have had pain with the same tooth that has been worked on by this dentist at this office, by this dentist recommending a crown without a root-canal and me paying thousands of dollars it should have been a warning sign to me when my tongue was cut twice by the dentist at this location. Many revisits back for the same problem of pain and still no result and now today I am being told by this office staff that I will be billed for any further attempts to correct the errors/mistakes/misdiagnosis, because originally I was told if I spent thousands of dollars it will stop my pain at the time of my original visit for my original problem and my primary reason for seeing a dentist. I have a learn my lesson today that I will not accept bed professional advise to purchase and place a crown on a tooth that has not have a root canal perform first. These dentists strongly advise me, against me, getting a root-canal on this tooth before him placing this crown on this painful tooth. My mistake again was trusting this dentist's professional judgment and rushing me in to spending thousands of dollars of quick and easy money for the dental clinic. My tooth is still in pain without any resolutions with the dentist telling me today in person that he is frustrated and does not know what is going on with my tooth still causing me pain. With all of my dental experience that was perform on my teeth in past the dentist knew or should have known what to do and how to do and not to Rush placing a crown on a tooth that is in pain without having a root-canal perform first. read more

I guess he's OK as far as a dentist is concerned but certainly not worth the money he charges. It's kind of like a premium price for lower-quality results. Plus it's all about the money. They will reschedule you on a whim and that's just the way it is. It happened to me several times. Then when I decided to change my mind about a tooth extraction that coincided with a cleaning appointment they charged me another $50 for doing the extraction. They tried to convince me to do the extraction and not just the cleaning by dangling the $50 dollar fee. Kind of like a poor man's extorsion scheme. Just leaves a shady feeling about the whole place. Especially after being rescheduled by them several times. So I cancelled the appointment altogether. I expect better and I can do better at the prices this dentist is charging in a blink of an eye. For the most part, everyone is great here! The front staff is nice and welcoming. Dr. Bannan is encouraging and very gentle. The hygienists are thorough and precise. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because Loren upset me quite a bit. During my first patient appointment, I met with Loren before I left to pay in full for the appointment I just had and to go over my payment options for a follow up appointment I had scheduled the next week. I told her I wanted to just pay the full amount and I wasn't interested in any payment plans. We discussed that I would receive $12.85 off of my follow up appointment if I paid the full amount and she circled that amount on my sheet. I said perfect and we parted ways. When I came in today for my follow up appointment, I brought the sheet and was going to pay for the amount in full before I headed back for my appointment. The receptionist told me that she could just collect the payment AFTER the appointment. I went with the flow and went back for my appointment. After I got out, I visited the receptionist desk to pay. Loren was also up there. When the receptionist told me the price, it didn't match what Loren and I went over since we had discussed me receiving the discount amount, as I was paying in full. I stated to Loren that it should be the discounted price since I'm paying in full like we discussed. Loren then preceded to tell me that the discount is only if I paid on the day I was already there BEFORE my follow up appointment. She had never made that clear to me prior to this appointment. That really upset me because I told her on that day that I wasn't interested in the payment plans and that I wanted to just pay in full and she circled the discounted amount on the sheet. So if that was the case, why didn't she just ask for my card again to run it for my follow up appointment if she knew I wanted to pay in full and receive the discounted amount?! In my opinion, that's a little sketchy and should've been made more clear. I'm new to this practice....I don't know the rules. If I told Loren that I wanted to pay in full and receive the discount amount to benefit from paying in full, why then did she not ask to run my card if she knew it had to be paid on that same day?! I understand that Loren probably deals with patients giving her the "run around" all day long, but I'm a patient that likes to pay in full so they're happy they have their full amount of money and I'm happy because I don't have to keep up with it. So why am I being treated like I just didn't listen to the agreement instead of being treated like a good, on time, if not early, paying patient?! She should have asked to run my card since she knew what I wanted. This was her mistake, not mine. And yet they still benefited from it (getting more money) while I had to pay the repercussions (for her not being clear and not running my payment). I understand it's only a $12.85 discount, but I should have been "rewarded" (by receiving the discount) for being a good patient and wanting to pay in full. I'm disappointed because I really loved it here, but Loren needs to revisit her presentation of the payment options, make things more clear, actually listen when the patient tells her what they want to do, and do what needs to be done in that moment. At the end of the day, please visit. They're great people. Just watch Loren. read more

Its a sad situation I love the doctor Dr. Bannon he is the best of the best I have been going here about a year and a half I am guessing. Susan is an awesome hygienist and Kathy the office manager is a gem. I recently have had to deal with Kelly who handles the insurance and I unfortunately am done. I manage an eyeglass store and an optometry office and know the importance of having approachable people when patients walk in my store this woman is far from that. I have had no billing issues or problems with the practice until recently when she arrived there. She does not listen to anything you are saying nor your concerns or point of view. Seems like there is a big communication issue lately and in my situation being hearing impaired seems that maybe that they are thinking I am confused. Invoices are sent and billed and there is no discussion about charges she just keeps repeated and talking over you . I am even more upset because I entrusted the doctor to begin an implant procedure and we are half way and I just feel I need to move on. After a discussion on the phone yesterday with this Kelly I really wish to never go back there hopefully the office reviews this and realizes there is an issue going on because other than this this team is awesome. read more
