VA gave me referral , was seen by a Dr. Yero that was not personable and rude . I had 2 teeth removed by an oral surgeon and also had consult with wife's dentist that stated I needed partial on top. This dentist Yero stated I needed all my teeth pulled and dentures. The VA dentist also agreed with partial. Don't go to his provider . The office manager stated he would amend the note she sent to VA so I could receive the payment rial that I was sent here for. The VA stated he never amended anything and they refuse to provide my partial. I had to give a star to post his but they shouldn't get one star. read more

Very disappointed with the 'emergency' assistance with this practice. I have had implants for years but when the bridge broke, I called Lakeside Dental. They needed to make a new one and change the existing posts. The bridge is extremely ugly and uncomfortable (doesn't look like teeth - even my friends have questioned the work) and it's very tight. Currently, it is 'stuck' and I am unable to remove it. When I called and explained the situation, I was told the earliest anyone can see me is a week away. Funny how when I needed a lot of very expensive work they were able to schedule me for the next day but for a simple 5 minute job, the wait is a week. On a positive note, I really do like Dr. Silva but I do question the competency of the dental lab he uses. read more

Let's start with I have been a patient of theirs for over 10 years actually longer than that since he bought the practice from Dr Vera . I scheduled an extraction for 1000am weeks ago, I was really clear it was for an extraction for a tooth that has already been evaluated during a previous appointment. It is currently 10:55 and I have been sitting back in a procedure room. I have not been numbed, but they had time to take an X-ray. My wife asked the front desk how long it might be because our time is important and we have things to do. She was met with some snarky response from the counter girl that there are other patients wrote me. So it's now 1100, seriously WTF they are still sending people back, the waiting room is full. Novel concept maybe try to not schedule so many people in a day so that your not wasting peoples time especially when they take time off work only to have to have extended wait times! I finally get someone to show up and she is all apologetic about my wait someone will be in shortly for an exam. I scheduled this for extraction, a pre-exam isn't needed again so that they can charge more and extend the extraction because the tooth is. Broken and very painful. This isnt rocket science it's greed, poor time management, not listening to the patient and potentially a language barrier or understanding what is being said or asked. I will be searching for a new dentist, they have e zero respect for a patient's time. read more

Dr. Silva's office is great. I have been coming here for more then 3 years now and Dr. Silva and his team have been awesome! Had my cleaning done yesterday and Maureen did a great job once again, she is the best hygienist you can have. Her hands are very light a d she is great at what she does. If you want a pain free cleaning, Lakeside Daytona Dentist is the place to go. Dr. Silva did a few crowns and at least 3 implants for me in the last 3 years and they look great, and feel great! Very professional doctors office. Nice waiting room. Comfy and with a TV. Once you go back to the exam room, they set you up in a very comfortable chair and......another TV. They do xrays, pictures and digital pictures of your teeth, gums and bite. They do a complete exam of everything to include the cancer screening. Very important. They tell you what they recommend for your treatment. The doctor finally comes in. Much to my surprise, nope, I will not spoil the surprise for you. The doctor took a look and explained what they saw and how it was a good, great plan. The very thorough exam was reassuring. Finally, the person with the plan and cost comes in and explains everything, one by one. This is where you can say yeah or no way. Again, to my surprise, they take you to the appointment desk. Appointment? I'm here. Lucky, there was an opening. So they took me in and did a cleaning. Top, bottom and deep pocket cleaning, for me. If you've ever had this done, you know how much it hurts. Not with this group. I was numbed to the point where I could not feel my chin for 6 hours. Can you say no pain at all? I could not, would not, wil not eat anything until I could feel my chin and tongue. Been there, done that. I was highly satisfied with everything. My last director was very pleasant, professional and nice person. These folks are similar but way more thorough. Did I say they were thorough? Anyway, get yourself an appointment and come be seen. I would not recommend Lakeside Dental. I have been coming here for several procedures and cleanings. On each occasion the staff was not friendly and it appeared that I was inconveniencing them. After each visit I would always have an issue with my insurance company as they billed incorrectly. On my last visit they tried to increase the amount of my copay stating they quoted me the incorrect amounts. Come on! Do you even know your own business. Due to the lack of knowledge and unfriendly staff I would look elsewhere. To date my fillings have not fallen out. Follow up - You can spin your response any way that you feel comfortable but the bottom line is in my view your staff is unfriendly, unprofessional and not competent. Bad choice for implant dentures and standard upper denture. Go elsewhere do your research. After 18 months I still can't eat anything with the 3 set of teeth. One implant loosened and had to be removed. A replacement another 3 months of healing for teeth I can't wear. Huge disappointment and very costly. read more

He offered a great solution for diagnosing a problem tooth, and when he worked on the tooth, he did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain, gave me a couple breaks to rest my jaw from opening, because i have a hard time opening my jaw! I have always kept up with my dental care, i. e.. every 6 months. So when my husband and I relocated to Daytona beach, first thing we sought our was a good dental practice. Found Lakeside and since the reviews were good, and the office was close, we made appointments. While the dentist was good, and the hygienist was pleasant and thorough, the billing personnel was the worst I've ever experienced. Beware, they want their money before you walk back to the dental chair. We have excellent insurance and they were supposed to be a provider. Big problems dealing with the office. Basically we were told not to come back. Rude, condescending, aggressive, and disrespectful. No worries. Wouldn't go back if you paid me. Not all their cracked up to be. Not recommended! read more
