First of all, the office is located in a great shopping plaza with plenty of parking available. Upon walking I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness, calming feeling of the office as well as the festive halloween / autumn decor. I used the restroom and everything was impeccable. The office smells great, it doesn't have that typical dental office smell which can be stressful to those that fear the dentist. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful, competent and efficient. I was greeted right away and shown what paperwork I needed to fill out. The entire process was smooth and painless. I then asked, if possible, to go to the restroom to brush my teeth as I was going in for an Invisalign consultation at 6:30pm after a long day of work. Dr. Tendero was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She explained the entire process to me and even showed me proper floss and recommended tooth brushing technique. I will undergo the Invisalign treatment with her and look forward to my "Colgate" smile! In fact, I wasn't even notified my dentist was switching. I showed up to my appointment and some male Dentist started working on my mouth without introducing himself. In regards to the lack of proper communication, I feel like they either need to get some actual American English-speaking receptionists or they need to become more organized or both. It's incredibly frustrating to get an appointment and then six months later I'm not even on the books and have trouble finding me on the system. Ever since management has transitioned it's been very disappointing in this regard. Such utter nonsense, but this is Miami and everything is ruled by the Spanish. We just need some English speaking Americans to clarify communication every once in a while.

Appointments were scheduled for early mornings, yet visits routinely extended until nearly 10:00 PM. During these long days, my wife was often treated in short intervals and then left alone in the dental chair for extended periods. At times, it appeared that the doctor was attending to personal matters instead of continuing patient care, which felt highly unprofessional. The outcome of the procedure did not meet expectations. One tooth required excessive gum cutting, affecting the overall appearance of her smile, and another tooth eventually fell off. This forced us to travel back to Miami for a follow-up, which again turned into an all-day process with similar delays. Additionally, when my wife raised concerns about the wait times with the front desk, the doctor made dismissive and inappropriate comments while she was in the chair and unable to respond. There were also concerns regarding pain management, as she experienced significant discomfort during the procedure despite being told anesthesia had been administered. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and, at times, disrespectful. It also seemed that certain patients--particularly influencers--received preferential treatment, which raises concerns about fairness and professionalism. We would not recommend this clinic based on our experience.

Thus, there isn't anything a dentist can tell me that I haven't already heard. That being said, it's really hard for me to find a dentist I like. Queue, The Bite Dental. Being that it is 2018, I found them on Instagram. I liked the decor, the attitude, etc., so I called and made an appointment. They emailed me the paperwork to fill out beforehand and send back. Great. I actually appreciate this, because who wants to sit around and fill out paperwork at 9:00AM? I met with Dr. E, the general dentist. Very sweet woman, but knows when to be serious. She recommended treatments for me, and gave me advice. Never tried to upsell me any treatment she didn't deem necessary. Susan their dental hygienist is an angel. Extremely charismatic and knows her stuff. I've gone to hygienist who recommend deep cleanings and full mouth debridement that weren't needed. My only qualm is their hours. They're open M-F from 9:00AM-5:00PM which makes it difficult for corporate employees to get appointments. Hopefully they'll open up Saturdays in the near future to cater to that crowd. But if you're in the market for a new dentist, who knows the latest technologies and is honest. The dentists at The Bite Dental are the dentists for you!
