I scheduled a routine dental exam and cleaning, yet my visit lasted nearly two hours. After the exam, I was told I needed what they called "special scaling in the presence of generalized moderate tartar," which would cost $229 out of pocket, on top of what my insurance already covers. I visit the dentist 2-3 times a year and have never once been told I needed a "special" cleaning. When I declined this additional charge, they ended my visit immediately and did not offer a basic cleaning at all. I was told this was due to "dental ethics," which made no sense considering I had scheduled and waited specifically for a cleaning. Because I was frustrated and confused, I asked to speak with the office manager. Suddenly, the same "special cleaning" was offered for $67, which only raised more concerns. To make matters worse, this "special cleaning" turned out to be exactly like every standard cleaning I've ever received. This entire experience felt pressure-driven and financially motivated, not patient-focused. I left feeling misled and taken advantage of. I strongly encourage others to ask detailed questions, request clear explanations, and consider a second opinion before agreeing to any out-of-pocket charges. Please beware.

I set an appointment for 12 noon. I received a confirmation text stating that my appointment was at 12:30. They called me at 12:15 asking why I late. When it came time for the extraction, I clearly stated which tooth was to be extracted. I even placed my finger on the tooth was to be extracted. The dentist seemed to acknowledge agreement. He then proceeded to pull the wrong tooth. It was obvious, he didn't understand what I meant. Communication is vital in getting proper care. This is an English as a second language office. If you are not Spanish speaking, do not go here. They likely won't completely understand what you are saying.

Watch out. This place just tries to get money out of you. They keep you there for hours and talk…read morecircles around you. They took over a dozen X-rays and imaging because they couldn't get the angles correct and then charged me for all of them. They insisted I needed a deep clean and lied on the examination by saying my gums were worse than they actually were. They said I needed other procedures and My insurance came back and denied these claims as fraud. They gave me proof as to why they were fraudulent. I have never had this happen before. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they warned me not to go back. I canceled my appointment , but they had talked me into ordering a partial. When It came in I went to pick it up, but they refused to give it to me, saying I need to get a medical release before I get it. The receptionist was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. I caught her in several lies before I left out of complete confusion that I was unable to get my property. So in recap, be careful when and if you go here. Watch out for them charging you for things you don't need, keeping you there for hours to force you to make a choice you do not want, bold face lying to you, and then disrespecting you if you stand up for yourself. I had a TERRIBLE experience with Mint Dentistry and Smile Image has listened to my story, corrected the mistakes done by Mint Dentistry and I am now on the right path for a perfect smile. If there were questions Smile Image sent me to another specialist to double check all work. I personally appreciated that as I only what to do this work once.
