Quality was never great and always trying to recommend you to overpriced out of network specialists. Read the other reviews over the years. Now you must sign a waiver saying if they cause irreparable harm doing a routine cleaning you have no recourse. Without waiving all rights they will not perform cleaning. The waiver is also digital so no exceptions to specific excessive points can be taken. This on top of other quality concerns has me looking for a new provider. I've been wanting a new provider for the last two or three years but haven't gone through the effort. Mostly out of inconvenience of finding a new dentist for twice a year cleaning. Waiver was the final straw.

Unfortunately, the front desk experience has consistently been disappointing. Even after receiving treatment plans, there seemed to be very little understanding of how my insurance benefits applied. I was given a treatment plan stating that my next appointment would cost a little over $300. I was unable to make that appointment, which I am now thankful for, because when I called two days later to reschedule, I was suddenly told that previous staff had not been knowledgeable about my insurance and that the correct amount would actually be over $700. Anyone would be frustrated to find out that they had been given incorrect information, especially after making decisions based on that information. What was even more disappointing was essentially being told that it was my responsibility to understand my own insurance. While I understand that patients should know their benefits, I also expect a dental office to provide accurate information when discussing treatment costs and insurance coverage. When I expressed my frustration and explained that, because of this experience, I would not be returning, the response I received was, "I hope someone can assist you better." I responded that it shouldn't be difficult, considering I was simply asking for accurate information regarding my treatment and financial responsibility. At that point, the conversation became even more unprofessional. I was reminded that the call was being recorded, in a way that felt more like a threat than an effort to resolve the situation. I was also told how much the office had supposedly done to help me, as though expressing a legitimate concern about being given incorrect financial information was somehow disrespectful or unreasonable. That interaction completely confirmed my decision not to return. Patients should be able to express frustration and ask questions about their treatment and finances without feeling threatened, guilted, or talked down to. The dental team itself has been wonderful, and I have nothing negative to say about the dentist or the quality of care I received. Unfortunately, great clinical care doesn't make up for poor communication, inaccurate financial information, and an unprofessional front-office experience. I ultimately left feeling like my time, money, and insurance benefits had been wasted. I would rather find a practice where I can receive great dental care without feeling like the people handling my account are playing with my pockets.

I was given Ron Davidson and told he was their TMJ "specialist". I came into this office with pre existing conditions/details about my dental history that were crucially important in assessing an overall treatment plan. He over zealously spoke of one of his "inventions" the designed to treat TMJ/TMD issues such as pain and sleep. I explained that I was just out of Invisalign treatment on my top teeth and he said his "invention/retainer" would also take care of keeping my top front teeth aligned while the bone healed around them and they became more stable. I had spent $4000 on Invisalign. For the next several months I came into this office no less than 14 times with problems due to his "retainer/invention". During this time the top tooth that has the Invisalign treatment went back to its original position rendering my $4000 spent worthless. Davidson had to make a second retainer because he never could get the first one to fit correctly, even after multiple grinding sessions of both the retainer and my teeth, which are now hollowed out and sharp to the touch of my tongue. I clearly told him that the most important thing going on in my mouth was my front teeth as they pertain to my Invisalign treatment but that was not on his mind. He seemed obsessed with the idea that he would be able to put an additional notch in his belt in favor of his invention so he could get his pat on the back. I stopped going after, 14 visits, and grinding my teeth, he s=could not get my bite right. on my last visit, I came in and told him he needed to adjust my bite because on one side of my mouth only 1 front tooth was touching the opposing lower tooth and it was actually making any TMJ I did have, WORSE! He brushed me off and continued on with his inner dialogue about how wonderful he is and how he loves to solve PUZZLES! He also gave me pricing on not 2 (as requested) but 5 upper front crowns and 1 implant crown at (excluding temporary crowns and other "potential" costs) @ $24,000. Outrageous! In the beginning of this awful experience, Davidson said he would reimburse me for the retainer ($1100-very expensive for piece of plastic that never fit). I requested reimbursement weeks ago and I have heard nothing back from anyone in the practice). I went back to the orthodontist and my periodontist to confirm what I thought about his "treatment plan". He had ruined my Invisalign result, left my front teeth unstable and hurting, and ruined my bite. My periodontist sent me to a new dentist who had to fix my bite so I could even close my mouth. I don't leave reviews often, but will if I think I can help someone else out by providing inside information about the character of the people in this dental practice. Since Davidson is a principal/owner, it is only logical that he would tell his employees how to respond and deal with problems that inevitably arise when dealing with patients. I don't blame any of his employees, but I put the blame squarely on Davidson and his self aggrandizing behavior. Reimburse me the money you owe me Davidson...

My procedure was completely painless, bloodless, and I had no swelling during recovery. I truly cannot say enough about this stellar office. I applauded the doctor's efforts (really, I did) got cleaned up, got a goody bag with wound care instructions and a scrip, did the money-for-services exchange and went home to sleep this one off... got a call from Dr F in the evening to see how I was holding up. nice :-) especially thoughtful was his apology for disturbing my rest... who does that any more? the calling or concern? that's real class... and I was doing fine, hardly no pain at all for having a tooth extracted six hours earlier. now it's tomorrow and my face still doesn't hurt :-)

The dentist I saw was incredibly kind and thorough. She conducted a comprehensive checkup to ensure there were no signs of infection or inflammation, and even ordered a CT scan of my teeth to make sure nothing was missed. After discussing the numbness and its progression, she gently suggested that it might be Bell's Palsy. However, to rule out the very slight chance of a stroke, she advised me to have someone take me to the emergency room immediately. The staff were all extremely kind and professional, and they asked only that I call and update them on my condition after my ER visit. I felt genuinely cared for, and I believe that level of care is the best any industry can offer its customers. Oh and it is Bell's Palsy. I should be right as rain in a few weeks to a few months.

Everyone from the front desk staff to insurance verification was quick and easy. My Insurnace was even verified before I arrived for my first appointment. Dr. Godwin was thorough and caring during my new patient exam and the X-Ray tech was gentle and patient with me. After my first visit I had a detailed treatment plan and got lucky and was able to schedule my fillings and cleaning for the following day. Kandiss was my hygienist and was caring and thorough. The assistant to Dr. Godwin ensured that the numbing was complete before I received any shots and for the first time I didn't even feel them. The work Dr. Godwin performed for my filings is amazing. They are perfectly smooth and unnoticeable. Overall I had an excellent experience and highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring and efficient office. This was by far the best experience I've had with any dentist since moving to the Carolina's 8 years ago.
